Uh oh. I dropped it....now it is stuck and won't turn off, connect or

anything. There is no sound coming out, and the clock says 10:10am, the time I dropped it.
I tried to connect it to ITUNES on computer, wouldn't acknowledge it.Curious if this is something that can be fixed or do I just need to move on and get another one?

Dropping the iPod may have damaged one or more of its internal parts, more notably the hard drive itself.
Have you tried resetting it yet? To do this, press and hold the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together for a couple of seconds until the Apple logo appears. If no luck the first time, try a few more.
If you are able to successfully reset it, I would also recommend restoring it as well.

There are two methods of recovery for you to try:
One:
Open Blackberry Desktop Software & Connect your device with PC using USB cable, without inserting battery.
You will get three option Retry, Update Or Cancel, then click on update.
Once it is to the stage of the update "initializing handheld", then insert battery.
If this does not work, and you remain stuck on the backing up the Social Feeds database, go to the second method below.
Secondly:
Start your BlackBerry in Safe mode. Article ID: KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Modehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow your handheld to connect. If you are prompted to upgrade, cancel the upgrade for later.
IF you cannot connect or your Desktop Software does not recognize your device while in Safe Mode, please follow the directions here to force the detect:  Article ID: KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
Go to Device > delete > SELECT DATA > select to delete both the Social Feeds and Smart Card databases, and follow the remaining prompts to complete it.
Now, you can return and click to upgrade the device through the Desktop Manager, or reboot the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue the over the air upgrade.
If these do not work, there may be one even more drastic thing to try...

That is so dumb...Apple is the best and most techinological company IN THE WORLD and they don't have the time to invent something like that? HUH? All they are worried about is making the "Worlds best Phone" and they can't take the time out to help their users or anybody that has their products. Accidental damage is not covered under Apple warranty. And it seems there is much accidental damage. Only a Genius Bar tech looking at it can tell how much it will cost to repair.
Cost to repair will be high, I suspect (though Genius Bar will confirm/deny.
There is no gentle way to say this sir/ma'am ... someone will need to pay for your friend's MBA repairs.

I tried to update the software for my iPhone 4S, 16 GB to the most recent version (8.1?). I don't know what I was updating from, because I can't access that, but it was whatever was installed on it (I got it about a year ago, so probably 6.something).
It froze, and now won't turn off, or on, or sync with my macbook plus, which is what I have always sync'd it to. (I backed it up and sync'd it right before I tried to update the software.)
Since it originally froze almost 3 hours ago, it shows a white screen with the apple on it and a line underneath. When I try to sync with my laptop, it says it needs me to enter a passcode on the phone, which I can't enter because the screen is frozen. So I'm unable to access the iPhone portion of iTunes.
I have tried to turn it off, with no luck. I have tried rebooting my laptop and syncing, but I still get the same result.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I really wanted to wait to update the software, but I was having internet connectivity issues for the past 3 weeks, and Sprint suggested updating the phone's software.

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
