Uhhh where is the conveniense? i thought macs spoke french out the box?

i'ma make this quick and eazy to answer.. I have vlc and windows media player on my 17" macbook...
i go to www.cdnow.com, my job and livelyhood is spent perusing the songs and particularly lookin for new samples..you know something new to flip..
but since i have my macbook www.cdnow.com is no longer an option.. windows media player cannot play the files and vlc for some reason cannot play the real player files.. they get errors about unsupported content..
1. what can i do to be able to play music from cdnow.com, its matters not the artist the files jus don't play regardless...
2. now its bad enough that my livelyhood is being affected, jeapordized.., i mean i could "almost" swallow that but yesterday wanted to relax and sleep to music so i go to one of my favorite no advertising FREE 24/7 radio staions http://www.undergroundhiphop.com/audio/radio/ and try to pick any channel and they dont work.. talkin about MIME is not supported.. what the blood clot?
PLEASE , PLEASE somebody tell me these are easily fixable or that it can be done...
also where is the keyboard suppport for safari? in IE you hit backspage and it goes back one webpage or alt + right/left arrow to go back and forth thru webpages? or should i jus d/l mozilla?

aight my good people followed your instructions...got the flip4mac plus that peruvien install as well and THOUGH it toook a restart on the computer for it to work i can NOW play the .wmv files on cdnow.com the real player one's.. eh i don't want to get into em...

Is there any way I can view / remove pictures from Camera Roll on the iPhone, on a Mac, without actually importing the files? I just want to view / delete files without importing them.
For instance I have 1200 photos on my iPhone Camera Roll. Some of these are shots, that I've taken multiple times, some good, some bad. I just want to clean up my Camera Roll, but going through the pictures on the iPhone's small screen is tedious. I'd much rather look at the camera roll's photo's on my Mac, and then decide which files I'd like to keep, and which to delete.
I don't want to import the files, as when I import the files, and delete them from Camera Roll, now the Photo's are not on my phone, and the only way to get them back on my Phone is to Import them back in using iTunes, and then they go into the Picture Library and not the Camera Roll.
In the same way as I can view Pics from my digital camera's SD card on a Mac without having to actually copy them to my computer, is there any app out there that will let me view my iPhone pics without importing them.

The short answer is yes.
Connect your iPhone to your computer.
Open Image Capture application.
Click on the 4 little squares at bottom to view them as photos, not a list.
Select the photos them click the No Entry icon at bottom to delete.

As this may be a hardware problem, make a backup of your files onto an external drive with Time Machine (if you have important files) and take the Mac to an Apple Store or reseller, or contact with Apple > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 You will get your Mac replaced or repaired for free.

Only you can make that determination. All things being equal the 2.5 GHz model is slower.

There's no such thing a a FireWire to HDMI converter. Do you mean Mini DisplayPort?
Are you trying to extend your desktop onto the TV or mirror it? Have you gone to System Preferences, Displays, and either clicked the Mirror Displays option, or used the Arrangement tab to move the two screens into the correct alignment? There should also be a Detect Displays button somewhere in the Displays panel.

How much space do you have left because maybe the system is unable to cue the burn because is needs to write some data to the hard drive before burning the DVD-R. Download OmniDiskSweeper, this program will give you information on your files and folders and give the opportunity to delete some files. If you have a external hard drive you can just copy your files to the hard drive then delete off you main hard drive.

If you want to edit a word document then you will need an app on your iPad that supports word so that you can copy them to it via 'open in' e.g. Apple's Pages app or a third-party app such as Documents To Go or QuickOffice HD

You'll certainly need a new logic board.
If I were you, I would take the machine into your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them evaluate the problems and give you an estimate for repair. If you're out of warranty, be prepared to pay a very high price to get your computer repaired.

Yes, you can just log out of iCloud on the mini (Settings>iCloud> Sign out) and nothing will be affected as long as the iPad is not restored from any backup after that. Though if you're giving her the iPad I would highly recommend moving the pictures to your iPad (via this page) so that the mini can be reset and set up under your daughters ID to avoid Activation Lock in the future.

The only way out of Recovery mode is to connect to iTunes and restore. If you cannot access the computer you normally sync with, you will lose all of your content, unless you sync to iCloud. With no backup present, your content will be lost.

Does the Superdrive work with Mac Mini w/out server?

I want to buy an external Superdrive for my old Mac Mini but I'm not sure it will work because of the information about it on the Apple website.
It read, "Compact and convenient, the MacBook Air SuperDrive connects to your MacBook Air computer or Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server."
What is meant by "a Snow Leopard server"? I have Snow Leopard on my Mac Mini but it's not connected to a server. It's a standalone computer in my home. Does that mean it won't be supported by a Mac Mini unless it is on a server?

If you're in the market for a new Mac mini, observe that the external SuperDrive is compatible with the newest Mac mini; in fact, it's offered as an option when you order one from Apple's site. The caveats linked to above are about Snow Leopard, which isn't supported on the newest machines — it won't even install without jumping through hoops.
If you want to save money by buying the older version, do bear in mind that the CPUs on the latest models are significantly faster — for comparison, the 2011 minis, while slightly slower, are in the same ballpark as the 2011 iMacs, wheras the fastest 2010 mini is slightly slower than the slowest "early 2009" iMac.
The new ones also have a Thunderbolt port.
If you do decide to go the eBay route and you're concerned about buying a broken Mac, look for one covered under the AppleCare Protection Plan (you can verify coverage by getting the serial number and checking here), as it's transferable and, given that the last model was released less than two years ago, it'll have at least a year of coverage left.
To be on the safe side, you should ensure the seller transfers the warranty with Apple — while they'll honor it regardless, a shady seller could request a pro-rated refund from Apple on the remaining AppleCare at any time after the sale, since they'll have proof of purchase and it'll still be in their name. Not sure how to do this, because I've never bought a Mac on eBay — the one time I tried several years ago, there seemed to be more scam artists than legitimate sellers (to be fair, I was in the market for a G5 tower when it was the current high-end and retailed for several thousand dollars).

Since there was no response I upgraded to Outlook 2010. All sync problems have been resolved now... but I have to learn a new version of Office.
