UI too small to do anything at all.

I also just purchased a Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 with a 3200 x 1800 screen resolution. I do not run a lot of programs on this computer but the ones I do run, all look great and run great.
I find it interesting that I am paying Adobe a monthly fee for solution that does not work well in this new environment.
So lets see, Office 2013 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access) all work great in this high resolution UI. Also interesting to note the latest just downloaded today Acrobat and InDesign also work great in this high resolution UI. So why does Illustrator and Photoshop not work well.
I wish I would have known about this issue prior to upgrading my machine, I hired a new salesman and gave him my old (4 months) Lenovo Yoga 2 that Creative Cloud worked great on. Now I am stuck with this machine that I cannot run two of the most common programs I run daily when I travel. When I am at my home office, no worries, I can run these programs on my desktop. This however defeats the purpose of purchasing a high end laptop.
Adobe, please resolve this issue, it is imperitive it I get this taken care of. If not resolved soon, I will find myself not wanting to renew my CC in April and will seek out another solution. I have used Creative Suite since CS1 and photoshop prior and would like to continue, but not if this is going to be an issue.
For those of you, that make the statement of just change to a Mac, need to understand, if this was a possibility I would consider it, however I run a business and over 60% of software I use for my business will not run on a MAC. So get off of your high MAC horse and keep it quiet. The MAC system is not any better or worse than windows, you are just afraid to admit it.

Why not give the full version of Photoshop a try? As mentioned above it already handles 200% display element scaling.
The Creative Cloud program offers a subscription for $9.99 / month for Photoshop and Lightroom. I don't know how often you have been updating your software nor how much you've had to pay, but this isn't a bad deal as compared to past license upgrade costs for Photoshop alone.

The Firefox font is too small on the homepage and all websites. How do I change it?

I loaded the latest version of Firefox. The font is so small that I can't read websites, etc. I looked through all of the help suggestions and nothing worked. Zooming doesn't hold; changing the font size makes web content overlap, changing the scale didn't help. The Firefox Help page has the perfect font size. Why can't that be used for everything else. The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox. Try these extensions:

Photoshop UI too small on retina display (windows 8.1 bootcamp on a macbook)

Like the title, everything is too small. This applies to all my adobe software. The software was given by my school and not pirated , I can update all of them. Now photoshop is at 13.0.1 and it won't update any further. Help?

I don't know if it does, but as the software running on the Mac that could be aware of the Mac's retina display, Bootcamp should provide some sort of pixel-doubling compatability mode or something, right?
It still isn't clear why you are not using the Mac version. Do you have a serial number? Have you tried installing the Mac version and using the serial number to activate it?
If you're not sure of the serial number, anymore, you can try using the Belarc Advisor to analyze your Bootcamp partition and find various Adobe serial numbers:

And if what the school has provided doesn't use serial numbers, then talk to them about supplying a Mac version for you, then.

How do I make icons bigger? All icons are way too small for speedy use. no matter what I do they remain too small. Is there a way of getting them the same size as previous versions?

All icons, such as refresh page, back, forward, stop and home etc; are just too small for comfortable use. For now I am uninstalling Firefox 4 and going back to 3.x. even the zoom page icons are too small.

You & I have the same size iMac screen. My resolution setting is 1280x800. Everything fits perfectly in the windows & on desktop including the menu bar.
All info in my windows are showing. I did not need to adjust my browser font size settings. I am sure you are aware of the browser font size settings. I use FF & the settings are in Preferences>Content.
In the Finder window you can enlarge the icons & fonts also.
Finder>View>Show View Options.

All of a sudden the screen on my iMac 10,1 is too small for the image. Can't figure out how to reduce the size of the Finder or any of the Apps.

All of a sudden the screen is too small for the image. Hard to explain, but in order to see the entire Finder window, I must scroll the image up/down, left/right.
It's not just the Finder though, all of the apps are affected this way too.
It's probably got something to do with the fact that I have an HDMI cable running from the Mac to a Vizio 42" TV. It's been running this way just fine for over two months though.

You probably accidently zoomed the screen. Hold down CNTL while scrolling down with the mouse or trackpad to unzoom. Cntl - scroll up to zoom.

Print Too Small from Photoshop CS4 with HP 8500 All In One Printer

I'm running Windows XP with CS4 and latest patches and drivers. When I print an image to my HP 8500 All in one printer, the printout is too small. Instead of a centered 4 x 6 image on the page I get a 1 x 1-1/4 inch small print of the image in the upper left hand corner.
I re-installed CS3 and it works perfectly as do any other print options, such as word, etc. But from Photoshop CS4 I can find no way to print to this printer without the image shrinking in size. If I print to another printer at the same sitting, the image is fine. So it's a PS CS4 vs. HP 8500 unique problem I guess.
I've see this post in other forms and no help as yet. Does anyone have this one on their radar. I really like this printer, but it's quite annoying.
By the way, If I print to a PDF from PS CS4, the pdf file image is fine. That's another end around for printing also. HMMMM.
I did contact HP and they put the problem squarely back on Adobe. No partnership there.

Will the printer print from any app?
I know it sounds like a dumb question, but you didn't actually say... And I admit to looking for software problems on an occasion or two when I had forgotten to plug in cables.

The entire Captivate 8 screen to too small. How do I enlarge the entire window? All icons and thumbnails are 1/4 the size they should be. Using Windows 8.1.

It looks like it is an issue between Adobe and Microsoft. (Many Adobe programs are responding this way to Windows 8 and 8.1)
I am posting this to try and get some (ANY) ideas/feedback...but to also bring it to the Captivate Community attention. I hope the Captivate Staff is aware of this issue.

I tried this first, it comes with Windows and changes your display properties by application: (but it didn't work)
The program above basicly edits these settings (you can get to these by right clicking on the exe application) I tried many combos, an even tried them under the "change for all users" setting.....NADA!
I have tried editing the Windows display settings: (all screen shots below are with this setting size)
The screenshot below is at 250%. It does not make any difference in the application (check out the menu bar, properties, icons....) If I go over 150% I lose dialog box space...the buttons disappear! If I keep it at 150% the words "Advanced Actions" at the top of the dialog box shrinks slightly, enough to fit the buttons in...) I showed the difference using snag it (12 pt arial compared to the appearance of the UI ~ 4 pt.) This is so hard to see! Same issue in some of the other adobe applications. (fyi...they are all up to date)
Photoshop = same problem
Dreamweaver = working fine
Flash = working fine
Premier Pro = half working....(menubar is ok but everything else is real small)
Muse = not working
Adobe Edge Code = Working fine

You can drop the resolution a little, but it makes everything blurry.
OS X isn't as friendly like Windows is to give some UI adjustment, one of many major complaints about the platform that has gone unheeded for years now.
As a lifelong Mac user who's eyes are going due to age, I'm really liking Windows 7 more and more every day.
If you use Firefox, NoSquint and Theme Font & Size Changer add-ons, with a nice persona that makes better contrast, tweak the FF toolbars, you can at least make your web surfing tolerable on Mac's.
Also you can set a Control key in System Preferences > Universal Access plus a scroll wheel mouse, if you need to zoom in/out certain areas of OS X, however for a pernament UI scale solution there is none that's practical, unless you have a large room, a projector and a smooth wall.
A larger monitor won't work up close neither, however dropping the resolution and sitting back a bit might sharpen the images a bit.
The UI really needs to be adjustable and it's not.

If I print and email it prints in the center top of the page and is just larger than a credit card. if I adjust the scale to 100% the it prints what could fit on one page onto 4 pages and prints a small portion in the center top of the page and is just larger than a credit card.

Ok i think i fixed this issues.
i went to about:config print.print_margin_bottom (and also left, right and top) and right clicked reset (it took out the previous 0.5 value). now the pages look normal on print preview without the large margin

I went into the PC settings and tried to change the display resolution. This changes the size of all the icons (not only Adobe) but it does not solve the problem when I open an Adobe application (Photoshop or Illustrator)... The PC is run under Windows 8.1 and my display resolution is 3200x1800 (but again, when I change the settings for a smaller resolution, only the size of the icons is affected. Once I open the software, the problem is still there, extra-small toolbars...). Help!!!

Anything before CC is not high-DPI compatible. Feel free to continue to experiment with your system settings.

My APEX version is 3.0.1.00.08, my application run on my test environment, but on PROD environment, it raised the error:

In this page, on the left is a tree, the right side is a tabular form, when I click one tree node, it will pass the current node id to the form and the form will display the children data. When I click some tree node, it will raise the ORA-06502 error, but when click some other nodes, it is correct. I don't know why. And on my test environment, it has no this error, the test environment has same version with prod environment, only has less data in database. Could you help me???
I searched in forum, someone says it's LOV problem, if it's LOV problem, all the nodes should have error, why click some nodes are ok?

I don't think it is related only to the number of rows but also to the content of the rows. So, counting only the number of rows doesn't say anything about if it is going to work or not. My question: can't you filter those entries? Making a choice between 250 entries in a tabular form isn't a simple task. Using popup-key LOV instead would also be a solution. However, if you use popup-key LOV be aware of the fact that you need two index numbers for those.

ICal fonts too small to read

I tried using iCal for the first time.
I can't read the fonts on my 30" monitor without strong magnification. No one here can read the fonts easily, even those with excellent eyesight.
How can I enlarge the fonts without using the Universal Access magnification, which makes everything unsharp and gives me a headache?

BTW, when I enlarge the fonts for these forums, the lines run into each other. Can that be fixed? Or is that a problem with the site?

Unfortunately, changing resolutions on LCD is about the same, unsharpnesswise, as using the zoom feature in Universal access.
The ability to choose font size, font color, etc., was available in ODS 9 and previous, and should be available to us as a part of the system.
That it isn't and that, with typical native resolutions for LCDs fonts and all detail size is seen at about half WYSIWYG (half the printed-out size) is a huge fault of the Apple OS.
We are stuck with too small fonts and details in too many applications, windows, toolbars, etc.
I need to enlarge the fonts in iCal, without messing anything up like Universal access does. Otherwise, I cannot use it, nor can many people i know. Ity is that simple!
Any real solutions, not makeshift attempts at trying to help.

Display is too small to read

I opened Windows in Bootcamp and the icons are there but the fonts are all too small to read. I can't click on anything to fix it because I don't know what I'm clicking on. There must be a mix-up in the display settings but I can't navigate to where I need to go to fix it. Is there a way to fix it?
