Uiadump32.exe Failure

I have an HP G60-535DX laptop. Recently, I performed a clean install of the new Windows 8 Pro OS, of which I am not a big fan. When I attempted to perform a factory reset of my laptop using the HP System Disks I generated when I first bought the computer, I get an error concerning the uiadump32.exe program when recovery attempts to set up Windows 7 for the first time. I have tried several times to perform the system restore with the same results. I have used the restoration disks previously with no problems and they are not scratched. I am able to re-install Windows 8 from its installation disk as well as Enterpirse Linux. Unfortunately, my system restoration disks are my only source for Windows 7. Any advice would be most welcome.

Hello smshell,
Unfortunately, the restoration discs that came with the PC is only good for Windows 7.
Here's a document that may help (creating recovery discs or saving a recovery image to a USB flash drive)
Here's a document that may help (Using recovery manager to restore software and drivers)
Please let me know if this helps,

  • Uiadump32.exe has stopped working

My HP DV3 running Vista Home Premium got hack by trojan. I decided to reinstall the system using recovery disk. Everything went smooth until at the end when install the software, I got the error "uiadump32.exe has stopped working". After 3 time retry, it just stop working.
Have been googling and search in this HP support forum for a while and could not found a good resolution on this.
I just found 1 thread said the exe may corrupted. If this case, could somebody let me know where I can download this exe?
    Thanks,

Sometimes the new hdd requires prepping with Cyberlink Utility cd first. Download and Save the file. Once download is complete, put a blank cd in your drive and click the file to create a boot cd. Boot with this cd and wait until you get a green check mark indicating hdd is ready. Remove the cd , insert first Recovery Disk and restart the laptop.

OR_ Scroll down on the page and get>> Bootable CD  and>> ImgBurn to burn the iso image to cd-a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is> Here. Once created, boot from it. Delete any hdd partitions, create one and format. Next try booting from Recovery again.

    Hello everyone!
I have been trying for days to get MS SQL Server 2012 SP1 installed on my 1and1 VPS and every installation attempt fails. It will hang at the SqlEngineConfigAction_install_startup_Cpu64 for a few minutes and then give me a ScenarioEngine.exe - Application

Windows appeared to work fine except when I tried any MS Office program gives me (Box title)
Outlook.exe bad image - Contents of box "(Filepath to) office 14\mso.dll" is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error in fact most .dll's will not
    work if asked to
I was installing Roguekiller when a box pops up saying (Box tittle) "Unsupported 16 bit application" incompatibility
with 64 bit versions of windows contact vendor to see if 64 bit version available.  Hang on wait what?
Have also run into HH.exe Bad Image as well.

    Ran Roguekiller successfully

(I am using a different computer) other tools I have USB drive and external Hardrive
    In a shocking spot

    Hi,
Based on the description, the issue is likely on the Windows level. To verify this, please try some more .exe files, check if the issue occurs to all .exe files.
Anyway, for the Office problem, please try to repair Office 2010 from Control Panel -> Programs and Features to check the result.
You may also need to fix the file associations, or restore Windows to an earlier point. For Windows issues, please post the question in this forum below:

  • Uiadump32 - issue with 64 bit windows 7 recovery?

My daughter has a HP DV6 Laptop model 2010sa.
The hard drive has failed but when we use the recovery disks we get an error about uiadump32 failing.
When I use the recovery DVDs for the laptop, it loads them and then restarts a couple of times. BUT, when it gets to the windows setup screen, listing "Preparing driver installation" etc, a failure occurs. uiadump32.exe has stopped working.
From other research it seems existing partitions can be an issue, but the drive was wiped using fdisk on a linux live boot before installation.  It looks to me like the recovery manager needs to be updated in some way (WIndows 7 is 64 bit on this laptop).
    Any one a solution?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Assuming this is just an issue with the recovery process, there's a straight forward work-around you may want to consider.
Before trying the following, make sure you can still read the Activation key on your Windows COA label ( 5 blocks of 5 alpha/numeric sets ).
You can create an installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the exact same version of Windows that originally came with your notebook ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here.  These Images are clean and from a well-respected source, however there are only limited versions available.
    Windows-7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit
Use the disc to perform the installation, enter the Windows activation key found on the COA Label when requested and when the installation has completed, use the 'Phone Method' detailed in the link below to activate the OS - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who just want a clean installation of Windows 7 without the additional software load normally bundled with OEM installations.

Any additional software and drivers you may need can be found Here.

  • Windeploy.exe error 0x8007139f during sysprep

My unified image had almost been perfected... It had been working fine on the PC in question (a Lenovo M72) until I had injected one simple driver into the image for the Realtek WiFi device of the Lenovo T420 (netrtwlane.inf, rtwlane.sys).
Now shortly after first booting (before installing devices) it is failing in Windows Setup.
Any info I find online in relation to this error, points to an issue with the registry, either a corrupt entry or a key being >8KB. But this isn't happening on any of the other PCs now and I can't imagine installing one driver would do this? Is it possible
the driver injection has caused corruption to the registry and that it would affect a different PC? The Lenovo T420 that actually uses this driver boots fine with this image.
    Thanks!

  • Recovery Media Fails To Complete - in infinite boot loop

We have an older laptop that got so little use it looks almost like it was just out of the box. The owner wanted to have it set back to factory default. It came with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. The laptop was a fully functioning laptop, with no issues.
The owner ordered recovery media from HP. She received the disc set. She indicated that there was nothing on the PC she wanted.
I began by attempting a restore from the recovery partition. In short order, the restore failed and it would not boot. So I jumped to the use of the recovery medai and ran the system recovery. I took about 2 hours, and when done, said it was complete, and it rebooted.
All looked normal, windows logo, then a white/silver screen. A few black windows open and close too fast to see what they are, and it reboots. Seeing this was an infinite loop, it trued invervening using a windows 7 Pro USB Flash Drive to get to where I could do a system repair. Repeatedly did system remair, and it would not work.
Started over... same result 6 times! A week later, here I am looking for help.
I was able start the laptop with the USB Flash Drive to the system repair screen. I was able to use the "load drivers" button to actually allow me to see the C and D Drives. The C Drive has four or five folders, the D Drive looks like it was the drive the system was preparing as a C drive - all the right folders. That all said, there seemed nothing I could do to find the source of the loop while being able to browse the files on the C and D drives...
One would think that the HP provided discs would restore the laptop so long as there is no hardware issues. NOT!
I have scanned the internet for like issues and tried about 9 different 'remedies' with none of them working.
    Any help would be appreciated...

    Hello Malygris1
The laptop user had asked me to return it to factory default. I did attempt to restore from the restore partition, using recovery manager. This apparently failed, as afterwords the laptop would not boot, and booting from a bootable USB Flash Drive within Windows 7 Pro install on it failed to accomplish a successful start-up repair.
So, I had the recovery media from HP in my hands by then - no worries right?
The recovery media warned me that the hard drive partitions would be removed and re-created. Since I was alreay in a situation where I could not boot, I went with the full factory restore.
Seemed to go as predicted until after the 2nd reboot, where I got the message that the recovery was complete. At the next reboot, the boot loop began (as described in my opening post). I have removed the hard drive, tested, created a partition, retested - and also used the hardware tests during startup. Both memory and hard drive test out as OK.
I have tried several boot loop solutions, but the one you mentioned gets to steps 11-13. I do not have ALL of the folders listed. It warns you that if there are 0 bytes, to stop and pursue another solution. No folders trumps that...
I have found the C Drive, and the D Drive by usint the Install Drivers button (which gives me a temporary way to browse the drives.
After the recovery says it is complete and I boot to the USB Flash Drive, and use start-up repair, then using the load drivers button, here is what I see:

  • Multiple Alerts getting raised for same Error

    Hi All,
I have a Management Pack Which will will trigger an Exe. The Exe takes an input and that input is being provided as a parameter from the MP. Whenever the exe raises throws an error an event in the event viewer and also  we are raising an Alert.
Now suppose say there are 3 inputs for which the Exe has to run. Now the Exe failed for Input 1 and passed for the rest 2. Since we have a exe failure we are raising an  event and firing an alert. But in the SCOM alerts i see 3 alerts with the Source
Name as all the three inputs, but the error message and all other stuff are remaining the same
Am I missing out on anything here?
Any Help in this regard is much appreciated
    Regards, Mahadev Sundeep Maruvada

    Hi Yan,
Attached is the MP that iam using.
SourceDepot.SDMonitoringSyntheticTest.SDWatcher.SDDepotDiscovery is the class which actually discovers the inputs. As of now there is no probe action to trigger the exe, iam doing it manually, but still i see an alert raised for all of the inputs discovered
even if only 1 input has failed.

  • CQ56-148CA RECOVERY KEEPS FAILING FROM DISKS

Hi everyone  I resently had the hard drive in my laptopdie, so i had one lying around that I used. The orignal I believe was 320gb while this one is 230, so when I try the factory restore option I get a  message saying that the hard drive is too small, then I try the System Recovery and it goes through all four recovery disks and says installation complete and restarts.
The problem is that once it restarts it shos a grey screen with comand promt with "updrvltr:c"  then it shows the windows 7 starting but goes into  the recovry manager again, but this times it tells me the installation was sin complete, and to make a choose, the three choices I am given are to save log, Details and retry. The details does nothing and retry just asks me to put the 1st disk in. I save a log to usb but when I try to open it and unzip it I get a request for a password. The file names is HP_P2PP_LOG.ZIP.
The weird part is when I use a win 7 cdto try and revocer the boot, it does say that it repaired it and when I restart I get th echoose to pick OS windowsEMS and Windows 7 (recovered), when I choose EMS It repeats the problem, when I choose the recoved it says  something like configuring first time use. But then errors again with uiadump32.exe has stopped.
Also when I check the partitions with Gparted, it shows 3 partitons, 1st is unallocated 199MB, 2nd is NTFS 68gb(26.14gb used) and 3rd is unallocated 164.69gb.
I have run out of thins to try.
Can some one please help me
.BTW I have tested the drive and it is good, also checked recovery disks to see if they were readableand made isos from them with imgburn and no issues.

Recovery usually will always fail on a smaller hard drive than original.

  • Patching Always Fails on One WS Type

Since I've implemented Patch Management in my organization I've cycled through several different workstation types, but recently I'm having trouble with this past year's computer model in that patching always fails.
What is happening is that I have narrowed the patching down to doing the individual machines (HP dc7900). I'll select the patches I want to push go through the wizard using default settings and force the restart. The deployment process will go successfully but the install/launches will fail.
In the reporting I'll get a remediate.exe failure with a Windows error: Unknown error (0xffffffff) on the bundle package. On the workstation I'll get notification messages for every patch in the bundle. Overall ZCM status reporting says that the package was successfully deployed but in actuality absolutely zero updates are applied.
This happens the same for every dc7900 in our building which were set up using the same process as dc5700 and two generations of dc5800 workstations that all patch successfully. Has anyone run into a similar situation? Thanks!

We make a new "source image" for each computer model that we have so different base images for the 5700, 5800 and 7900. All of our images are made with the same XP SP3 volume license and network deployed apps installed. The 57/5800 systems had Windows Updates enabled as "download and let me choose when to install" but with the 7900 we thought that we would be able to use Patch Management to deploy updates so on the image the updates were turned off, but we have since manually turned them back on to automatic to make sure they keep updating.
I did recently find out that this behavior also follows application bundles on these systems now. I usually deploy bundles as dynamic administrator but have read in another thread that deploying as system may cause less hassles but I haven't had a chance to test this yet.

  • Unable to install shuffle 4g with itunes 10.0

I can't seem to get my new shuffle 4g working with itunes 10.0. my old shuffles work great with 9.2 but had to upgrade to 10.0 for the new 4g shuffle. i keep getting ipodservice.exe failures. Does anyone know if Apple intends to fix this in 10.1? Had to reinstall 9.2 to get itunes back. I am about to send this thing back. This is frustrating and a real disappointment.
    Thanks for any help.

Sounds like you need to do a clean install of iTunes. Here are the instructions:

Can some one help me with this? I am trying to run standard client TS for windows 7
    Thanks,

    Thanks, Rajith P

Hi, I had slightly different error code (no 1450  in the beginning), and my error message was as follows:
    FAILURE ( 5627 ): -2147467259 0x800F082E: Run DISM.exe
Litetouch deployment failed, Return Code = -2147467259 0x80004005
Failed to run the action: Install Operating System.
    Unknown error (Error:000015FB; Source: Unknown)
and it also said I had 8 errors because of this.
What solved this for me was to enter Properties of the Task Sequence and choose the tab Task Sequence and in the group "Install" in the "Install Operating System" I clicked the tab Options and chose to "Continue on error". This
worked for me. I don't know why it stopped for me since the installation always concluded with 100% and then gave the error message, so I don't know what was going wrong, so if anyone knows what the Lite Touch Installation is complaining about, please let
    us know! =)
(A strange thing to have 8 errors and then just ignore them and the installation continues just fine, with an up and running Windows install at the end!)
