UIX And MS Internet Explorer

Hi.
Why does MS Internet Explorer always give (Error in JavaScript) when usin UIX.
Netscape and Mozilla firefox does not give any errors.
Is there any way to solve the problem of the Internet Explorer (Because most of people use MS Internet Explorer).

I think i am spotting the iceburg of the problem.
I managed to recogonize the pattern the leads to such problem, it may be caused by my specific application, because i was not able to re-repoduce it. I will explain the behaviour and the solution more thoroughly when i find the solution... it has something to do with the fact that the URL seems to get stuck to certain address while navigating.. I will resolve it but still do not understand why Mozilla does not have it

Safari or Firefox are the optimal choices. At times Safari does not open links with smooth pagination of fonts and lettering / graphics are not clear. So I opt for Firefox. Be aware that you need to close Safari to use Firefox. It has been my experience.that if I forget to close Safari and open Firefox at same time Firefox error message says oops! We need to reset or can't open try again.

Maybe you should test these things before calling people out, because these settings do function perfectly well.
iCloud is not supported on Snow Leopard or lower, why bother to mention it?
The OP has an iCloud account, and that can not be opened without Lion or Mountain Lion (on a Mac), IOS5 or 6 (on an iPhone/iPad)

Can I use smartprint without Bing bar and or internet explorer? I am not a fan of Microsoft explorer and I Do not want Bing on my computer. I don’t like either program.
I prefer other options like Firefox, slim-browser and others. I also don’t use any tool bars.

Some Antivirus is locking up anything I try to do. Its called Antivirus Scan. When I try and us Internet Explore its locked up all together.

It sounds like one of the bogus anti-virus applications that gets you to install malware. Try running several malware scanners. It is best to run several as each will pick up things that the others miss. Some scanners you can try are:

Print and even print preview comes out unreadable. Do i need to change any internal print options. My printer works with the old firefox and windows internet explorer for the SAME document. I only have a problem printing while in firefox 4.0.

Since installing Firefox as my default browser, and removing Internet Explorer 9,which was awful, my Homepage screen is just in the middle of my screen with very small print and empty space on each side of it. Can the be fixed?

Three days ago I installed Internet Explorer 9 as my browser. When I tried to sign in to my email on my homepage I couldn't.
I contacted my service provider and they said that Explorer 9 was not compatible with them as it is in Beta form and also in test mode.
They suggested that I remove Explorer 9 and install Firefox, which I did. Then they said it was a good idea to have more than one browser at a time and to go into the Microsoft site and download Explorer 8.
I tried this and it would not let me go back to Explorer 8 only forward to 9 which I reinstalled.
After all of this my Homepage only fills up the middle of my screen and I have empty space on either side of the picture. When I browse, the site I go to opens up to full page, but the print is much smaller than before.
I don't know what I installed to make my viewing so much smaller or my homepage to shrink.
Also do I really need 2 browsers or can I just go with Firefox?
If so, how will not having Internet Explorer affect my browsing?
Firefox is set as my default browser and I am enjoying using it, I just wish I had my Homepage back to full screen!

When going to a website the picture was small - tried changing the Zoom size , tried Zoom Reset - the text did change size but the layout distorts - found under View - Zoom - Zoom Text Only was checked --- Removed this check mark and the website returned to normal size and Zoom worked normally again. I am 99.9999% sure I did NOT check this myself and there is no one else on the computer to cause it. Maybe this will help.

Why are some of the game features covered, so therefore, unusable on my facebook games? This is only true with Firefox and not Internet Explorer.

I can't play most of my games on Facebook because some of the feature buttons are covered up. Like the enlarge screen button, and I can't get to some of my neighbors because of this problem. It's like the box you play in, in the middle of the page is to small. It wasn't always like this, it seems like it happened on one of the upgrades but I can't remember which one. I think it may have been this 3.6 one but again I'm not sure. I'm having to use Internet Explorer to play my games on Facebook and I really, really do not like IE. I like Firefox, It is comfortable and easy to use and I really would like to correct this problem as soon as possible!! IE browser and Web Cache and SSL - Internet Explorer cannot display the web page

When using IE8, IE9, or IE10 with Web Cache and SSL certain pages which display a lot of data returns the error - "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page."
if we eliminate SSL but continue to use Web Cache, the error does *not* reproduce & If we eliminate Web Cache altogether the error again does *not* reproduce. The error is only reproducible when we use SSL with Web Cache and if we use IE and we access *large* pages. The error is not reproducible with Firefox or Chrome. This is a Web Tier 11.1.1.7 installation with WebLogic 10.3.6 & Red Hat Enterprise 5 Linux x86-64

Try Below Workarounds:
Workaround 1:
Open Central Admin
àApplication Management à
Configure Alternate access mapping-->Edit your web application zone and add your server name in Intranet zone. So default can be serverIP and intranet could be servername.
Workaround 2:
Might be there is some issue with DNS and try to check that WebApplication is pointing to correct IP or not.
Also try to access your Sharepoint site using ip Address .. If you still gets error Kindly share the logs ..

First welcome to the Apple Forms.
The short answer is yes – there are basically two methods that you could use:
Option 1: Run Parallels/Bootcamp and install Windows XP on your Mac. Though this will give you the greatest flexibility in running Windows apps, it also generates the most headaches – just look at the number of post concerning this option. Also this has the greatest cost $79 for Parallels (Bootcamp is free from Apple) plus the cost of Windows.
Option 2: Install Crossover from Codeweavers (www.codeweavers.com) this product is based on the WINE project and basically installs a 'Run Time' version of Windows XP. I am currently running IE6 in a ‘bottle’ with no problems as I need to access Outlook Web Access. This solution is also the cheapest ($39 for standard - $69 for Pro).
Either of the solutions should work though my preference is Crossover.

Flash Player Freezing and Crashing Internet explorer and Google Chrome

I have a dell xps 16 running on i7, windows 7 home premium 64 bit, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd. For at least a year i have been having problems viewing sites that use flash player such as youtube, and facebook. I orginally thought my anti virus was the problem because when ever I uninstalled it the flash began to work. I switched anti-virus programs about 3 times go from mcafee to kaspersky to avg 9.0 full...and it still would freeze up on me. Now it has been 2 weeks since I uninstalled avg 9.0 and now it has started freezing up my internet explorer and chrome when ever i go to youtube or facebook. Also for some strange reasion it also is making some of my programs like pinnacle studios 14, itunes, and window media player unresponsive. Currently I have taken flash out of my computer. And i have to use my ipad to view youtube videos..but i still can not view flash. I have heard this has happended to many people on mulitple o.s. , Please help. I have tried reinstalling it and it says that instalation failed evertime. Ive also tried reinstalling my os with no success. I ve tried reseting my browsers and reinstalling them....no success.

Hi a, I wonder what happened since it was working on 7/21/10. Then after you Installed AVG9 you started having problems, even after disabling the AVG add ons, etc.
You have had this freezing issue for awhile and I don't know what is causing it, although cleaning up McAfee certainly helped and the Re-Install of Flash Player.
I think the first thing you should do is go to the Kaspersky website and find out if there is an Uninstaller to use and use it if there is. Then I would go to AVG 9 and do the same. Then Reboot after using each one. That way you will have had a Clean Uninstall of both of them.
Then go to Microsoft and Install Windows Defender. That way you would have some protection and that along with the Windows Firewall will help until we see what is causing this freezing and then you can Install AVG again.
Also these: Dellweb cam central, informational alerts, dell data safe online, oovoo, fastaccess.. I wonder if any or a combination are conflicting. Have you had these for sometime or were any added about the time you started having issues? I am not familiar with them, but if they are in your system tray, I would guess they use Flash? I would try to disable them all at once, try your websites, especially youtube. If you have no problem, enable only one of those and test youtube again. Then enable another one and so on and if any are conflicting, you will be able to find the one.

Can I download Firefox and keep Internet Explorer as my default browser?

I am being prompted to install Firefox to use the MobileMe site with my IPAD. Before I download, I'd like to know if I can KEEP Internet Explorer as my Default Browser. I am NOT great with my computer and therefore would have difficulty fixing any technical challenges.

Yes you can keep IE as your default browser when installing Firefox, just answer NO when Firefox asks if you want to set it as the default browser.
What's that about the iPad? You can't install either IE or Firefox in the iPad, neither has a version for iOS.

The font in my Facebook apps is real small and I can't do what I need to..Its only when using Firefox and not Internet Explorer...Help...

A couple days ago the font in the apps I am playing like Farmville, Puzzled Hearts and Cafe World went small and doesn't show the whole page either. Its not like that in Internet Explorer so that tells me its either a Facebook or Firefox problem. The Home page is the right size font I use. It's just so strange...

If you didn't get the import wizard then that means that Firefox found a profile folder or a file profiles.ini
You can try File > Import to start the import wizard.
