UK iPhone activation -- security deposit

In the activation process, I was told I'd have to provide o2 with a £100 security deposit to activate my phone. But the form for doing so doesn't work. I've called o2 and they say there's a technical problem (duh) and to just keep trying. I've been trying for 15 hours! Is anyone else having this problem? When do I just give up and ask for my money back?

Where you enter in all your details, it says o2 is checking blah-de-blah and then chucks you back to the same page? Yep, I'm getting that too I've tried a visa electron (barclays) and visa debit (nationwide), as well as a visa credit card - none work. I've tried doing it on my Mac and my PC, makes no odds. o2 say they're going to text me when it's fixed but i've been waiting ages too (since last night at around 7pm).

    My scenario is to create a downpayment request, make a payment and it should get cleared with the actual receivables.I created a Down payment request through Manual posting.Did the payment for the same. But during my final bill it doesnt get cleared with my actual receivables. I have done the required configuration for Down payments in posting area 1010 with 3000/0010 alongwith clearing restriction '5' and also maiantained them in SAP Utilities -> Invoice Processing -> Item Selection in Account Maintainence as well as Bill printout but unable to acheive the same.
    Moreover, I checked my Security deposit also. It is getting cleared but still remaining as a down payment item. Event R401 is also active.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Also check the Clearing configuring for invoicing has the Account Maintenance Clearing Variant defined:
    Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable ->Basic Functions ->Open Item Management.->Clearing Control->Define Specifications for Clearing Types->Define Specifications for IS-U Invoicing
    Ensure that the Final Billing Clearing Types R42 and R43 are assigned the Account Maintenance Clearing Variant.
    In addtion, extend the Interval Days in Item Selection in Invoicing to be 999 days. While Due dates should not matter for credits, some functionality respects the due date.
    If all this fails, make sure your Event R401 is not bypassing any standard logic that is contained with the IS-U standard Event ISU_EVENT_R401.
    Also, make sure that your account is not a multi-contract account. There are dependencies during Move-out/Final bill for Security Deposits the Release can occur only if all contracts are moved out.

  • Security deposit issue: customer service saying it is never possible to get it back

    To anyone who might be able to straighten things out here,
    first of all, I am not asking for a security deposit back right away. I was just asking for a possibility of getting my security deposit back and on which condition I can get it back. However, when I called up (800)-922-0204 and spoke with counselor after waiting half-an-hour, she told me I am unable to get security deposit back at all since it is non-refundable to anyone. I questioned her why is it called a deposit in such case, and she kept on insisting that security deposit is something I pay in the beginning to open up an account and it cannot be returned at all. I was puzzled since the guy at the retailer shop and he told me I can probably get the deposit back at some time later and check the estimated date to get the deposit back if I called the number specified above and talked to a counselor.
         So I checked up the answers posted up in this forum and figured out that indeed security deposit is returned after certain criteria is met. I was really irritated and upset, but that's something I have to deal with, so I'll pass on that. Following are my conditions on Verizon account and I hope someone can tell me when I can possibly get the deposit back and/or where I can get such info.:
               I first opened up my account in Verizon 4 years ago with $400 deposit (Aug. 2014). Then, as a Korean male, I had to go back to my country to serve      in military service that I had my account suspended for about 3 consecutive years. (Thanks to the Verizon retailer who helped me out at Oakdale Mall.)      The first condition to get the security deposit back was "to have 12 consecutive monthly bills paid without delay (No suspensions while doing so)" and I      know it was not done since I suspended my account at around 10th month (June 5th, 2011). I re-activated my account with a different phone and a plan      on Aug. 30th, 2014 and the guy at the Verizon service center in Vestal, NY told me to check when I can possibly get my security deposit back.
    Sorry to leave such a long message here but I guess I am not good at summarizing things here. Please take the pain and help this poor kid out.

    First of all, I assume you have a misprint and you opened your account ~4 years ago in August of 2010, not 2014(1 month ago).
    Next, it appears you had your account suspended for 3 years after completing only 10 months of service and have recently re-activated the account.
    If the above information is correct in your case, I would assume you will get your deposit back 12 months after reactivating your account without any further suspensions and/or late payments. So I would guess you will be eligible to get your deposit back in August, 2015.

    I appreciate your inquiry about the security deposit. In order to be eligible to receive a security deposit refund in full, the account must meet several criteria:
      • 350 days of active service (the 350 days begins from the point of activation, not from the time the security deposit is applied to the account).
      • No suspensions due to non-payment.
      • 12 consecutive months of timely, uninterrupted service.
      • No payments returned from bank
    Account balance current (no more than 30 days past due).
      • No related account delinquent or written off requiring payment.
    If the account remains active after one year of service, the security deposit will be automatically refunded within 1 - 2 billing cycles.

  • Security Deposit Check

    I activated my service in Feb 2013, and had to pay security deposit of $400, since I'm a student. And since I'm a student, my dad is paying bills for me. After 1 year, just today, I received a check from Verizon that said "security deposit refund." The problem is that the check is in my dad's name, and it is void 6 months later. My dad is abroad and is going to visit me at September. I can't do anything with this check. Is there any way of getting refund in other method?

    Nope. Take it to your dad's bank. They shouldn't have an issue with you depositing a check with his name on it in his account. Then call your dad and have him send you the money.

  • Security deposit transfer

    Dear Friends,
    Is it possible to transfer Cash security deposit from a Business partner/contract account  to another Business partner/contract account? How do we do it?
    By using FP40, we can transfer only open items of a BP to  another.
    Kindly advise on this matter.

    Check the config in below mentioned path
    FA> CARAP> Business Transaction> Transfer> Define specification & default value for transfer
    Maintain value "X" for Transfer Credit. By activating this field the open cash security payment can be transferred i.e credit item can be transferred by FP40.
    Also check field Only open item, whether activating the field can help you as per your client requirements.

    As per our business requirement security deposit need not to be adjusted
    with final bill. We have done the configuration as per following
    screen shot.But security deposit still get adjusted during final bill
    generation , please specify this configuration is correct or any

    You should check the configuration in Open Item Management for "Specifications for Invoicing".
    Make sure the Clearing Variant that is used doesn't have any explicit Clearing sequence for Main/Sub 0020/0010.
    If theres no such explicit configuration, make an ABAP change in the FI-CA Event ISU_EVENT_R401 to explicitly exclude the held Security Deposit . Heres the documentation for this event:

  • Security deposit refund returned or applied to account?

    Long story short when I signed up with Verizon I was asked to pay a $400 deposit.  I paid $300.00 using a Verizon gift card, and $100 using my CC.  On 2/22/15 makes one year I have been with Verizon.  I logged on now to my account to pay my bill but it says Paid In Full.  I go to my payment activity, it says "A/P security refund -$380.00" then it says "security deposit applied $400" then it says "security deposit interest $1.27" .  I am EXTREMELY confused, was the difference mailed to me or the entire deposit applied to my account? I called Verizon and the first rep I had transferred me to "home services"- no idea why then I was transferred to the financial department but somehow ended up at the main telephone prompt starting all over again. I am extremely frustrated.  Can someone help?

    You're eligible to receive your security deposit back at the end of 1 year of uninterrupted service or upon termination of your service. Uninterrupted service means you have kept your account in good standing and paid your bill in a timely manner for one year.
    Your security deposit will be refunded in the form of a credit to your account. If the applied refund creates a credit, and you don't owe any other amounts to Verizon Wireless, you will receive a check for that credit balance.

    You get the deposit back after 1 year of on time payments, if one is missed that resets. Also if you did meet that the check is sent to the last on file address they had for you at the time.

    Hi,
    I assume that the main\sub used for migrating the Security deposit is different from that of the main\sub for creating the security deposits in SAP via FPSEC1.
    In this scenario, you need to change  the allocation of internal main\sub transaction from the normal main\sub to the main\sub combination used for migration.This is a pre-migration activity.
    Go to the following path in SPRO-
    Financial Accounting(New)>Contract Account Receivable  & Payable>basic functons-->Positng & Documents->Document->maintain Account assignments->maintain tranasction for ISU->maintain transaction for Cash Security Deposit \interest.
    Click on "Allocate transactions to internal transactions".
    Look for the combination of  
    IMTR    ISTR
    0020    0010
    0020    0020
    There will be a main\sub assigned to it. Change that combination to that you are using in conversion.Save it and then try to migrate it once.
    Hope you will not get the error again........

  • Creation of Security Deposit while Dunning.

    Hi All,
    Has anyone come across creation of Security Deposit with FM ' FKK_S_SECURITY_CREATE' or 'FKK_S_CASH_SEC_REQUEST_CREATE' while dunning.
    Here the problem is when Dunning triggers the activity where security deposit is created, before this  a FM 'FKK_CREATE_DOC_MASS_START' is triggered as dunning is a mass activity and the field MEM_XSTAR value is changed to 'X'. Inside this standard FM for creating security deposit, FKK_POST_SECURITY_WITH_TAX creates the document(opbel) for repective SD but as MEM_XSTAR is checked as 'X' it doesnot allow the creation of the document which inturn doesnot create a security deposit.
    Can there be way out where this SD will be created.

    As long as you are using standard FM ISU_CREATE_NEW_SEC_REQ_0350, then you should be okay.  If not, then you should look at that FM to see where your custom FM is not coded properly.

But oh what a surprise 45 minutes later someone restore my icloud password and login in my account and erase my iphone??? How is that possible, he doesnt have my password or how he get into my account and reset my apple id???
    I am very disapointed with Apple because i have activated "Find my iphone" and have a long passcode active and it was not enough because the guy who stole my iphone can resotre my apple id password and get into my icloud account and deactivate "Find my iphone" then when i try to login into my apple id account surprise my password is incorrect?? and i have to recover it when i login to my icloud accont my iphone is not longer have "Find my iphone" active??
    Apple guys i need your answer because the app "Find my iphone" isnt secure and usefull because the guy who stole my iphone can get into my apple ID account to erase my iphone, VERY DISAPOINTED CUSTOMER.

    You have been caught by the antitheft feature of iOS 7. There is no way to bypass this feature.
    You will need the Apple ID and password that was used to register the phone when it was activated. Ideally the owner will cooperate; if not, there are coercive measures that might be applied, such as withholding the value of the phone from a final paycheck. You may also contact Apple Account Security and see if you can convince them to reset the password.
    This is why many companies that issue phones to employees register the phone under Apple's Enterprise policy, so the business is the actual owner.

    I need to develop a function which can be arranged the dunning procedure of partially used security deposits. What I mean I will show in the following example.
    1. On the business partner of a client a security deposit has been posted
    2. For this open item a clearing has been received and posted
    3. X amount of the paid security deposit has been released and cleared against an open invoice, so the amount of sec. deposit has been decreased with X
    Challenge: How can I make a dunning notice to the client in which I ask to recover the amount of security deposit to the original level?

    Standard dunning activity R005 is linked to FM ISU_CREATE_NEW_SEC_REQUE_0350 which creates a deposit based upon the dunning amount.  You could create an own function based on this one and adjust the aount determination to fit your requirements.
