UK not listed in the wireless options
Hi all,
So ive recently moved to the uk and am having a horrible time getting on the internet with my TC, England isnt shown in the wireless options location pull down menu, which has me baffled. could this be why it doesnt think the ethernet is plugged in when it is?
Try repairing disk permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select FirstAid, then click: Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot.

I don't believe the last Thunderbird update worked, there was a very fast error message. But since then I cannot open jpeg attachments in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. If I go to Tools, then options, the jpeg line is grayed out, and the drop down menu does not show Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. The windows picture and fax viewer still works on my computer, but not for opening attachments.
I did as you said - deleted the entry for jpeg, but when I tried to open one there is not an option for Picture and Fax Viewer in the drop down, and it can't be found by browsing. It's just not there anywhere even though I can see pics in it except in email attachments.

My city is not listed in the timezone options
how do i set my time zone to Tijuana (-8 gmt) ??
the closest city to mine that does appear in the options is San Diego (which is what i have it set to), but since SD goes forward 1 hour about 3 weeks before my city (for some questionable reason) my clock now shows 650, instead of 550pm
in my xp machine this time zone thing was patched a long time ago, does leopard not consider this ??

I used my apple tv wirelessly and it worked fine,then I plugged an Ethernet wire into the Apple TV to move it and could not it to connect. When I unplugged Ethernet wire it will not give me a wireless option. How do I get that back?
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
1. Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
2. Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
3. Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
4. Open iTunes.
5. Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device) -

When I go to my folders in the doc, the fan feature is not there. I stays in grid. I can click list. Once in list (and list only), the fan option has returned. However when I click it, it just goes to automatic. My folders just have 3 items in them. How do I correct this? Quick note...when my son logs into his user account, the fan feature pops right up and works fine. Thanks!
Is the Dock on the bottom or the side? Fan is not an option with it on the side.

Followed the directions on this page. Books are not listed among the options at step five, only movies tv shows and music, so how do I download my books then? I previously purchased two audiobooks on iTunes. They are available on my iPad, but not here.
If you go into Edit > Preferences then on the General tab on the popup that you get you should be able to select which types of content 'show' - tick the box against 'Books' :
Books then show under your 'Library' - if you select it, are those audiobooks listed there ? -
Battery fails in X61 with FRU not listed in the recall list
The day before when my x61 battery went down to about 5%, I closed the cover to let the it sleep. After a while, when I want to charge back the battery, the light becomes yellow and keeps twinkling. The power manager says:"The battery has failed due to normal wear. The battery can not be charged. Replace the battery."
I doubt this battery failure is due to the product design, since I have not done any thing vital. I checked the website from Lenovo and found out there is a problem on x61 battery and now lenovo is recalling the battery. But unfortunately, my FRU is 42T4506 which is not listed in the recall list. I just called the customer service guy to ask if I can get the same service, but that guy is not polite at all and do NOT want to explain to me any thing but let me order a new battery. A new battery is toooooo expensive. I feel really bad on this situation and come here for help.

I am facing this issue, after upgrading the system from Windows 2012 to Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter. I have tried un-installing and re-installing the roles (RDS) multiple times, but still the sysprep'ed VMs are not listed.
I even tried creating a new fresh VM from the start and syspred'ed using the command line options, but still the VM is not getting listed.
One more observance is that, the 'RD Virtualization Host Server' displays the 'No of Virtual desktops' as '0' even though I have more than 50 VMs on Hyper-V. (It is not even showing the value as 1 for the new VM created).
I have all the roles (Web Access, Connection Broker, RDMS and Virtualization Host) installed on the same server.
Windows 7 Professional edition is used to create a VM, and the sysprep command works only with the below command line arguments.
sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /shutdown
Please kindly help to resolve on the issue.

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. -
How can I remove duplicate songs from the iPhone4. The duplicates are not listed in the computer iTunes library.
The simplest thing may be to back-up and then restore the iPhone. If you don't fancy that then remove all media that is currently synced to it, then double check and manually remove any media that remains on the device, before reselecting your sync options.
If you've been manually managing the device and your library doesn't contain copies of all your media then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

hello everyone. I have recently installed a Samsung SSD (solid state hard drive) into my destop PC. For some reason Lightroom does not see it ? So i cannot ingest photos from it, or copy photos from a card to it. It is not listed as a drive option. LR sees every other drive. My computer sees it fine, so i was able to create a catalogue there. Im running windows 8.1. Any ideas ? I will also add that this drive became corrupt and was repaired by Samsung. Maybe they didn't do a very good job.. ..

Opened Lightroom.
Create new catalogue.
This opened the Windows 8 file explorer window and Windows recognises the drive. So I was able to create a catalogue there and save.
I then inserted my memory card into my card reader which LR recognised. I selected it, chose all the photos within and then navigated to the right side of the Lr import dialogue window to locate this problem drive as on this occasion i want the RAW files on the same drive as the lrcat. However all my other drives are listed but not this Samsung SSD.
In addition this Samsung SSD is not listed a drive to import from in the same dialogue window. -
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 - Safe mode not listed in Advanced boot options
HI all,
After a bad driver installation, the server got the blue screen issue.
I tried to access the safe mode and make a restore, but unfortunately the safe mode is not listed in the advanced boot options.
The only options available pressing F8 at boot are :
Repair
Normal mode
Am I missing something ?
Is there a way to launch the safe mode from the console (accessible from repair mode) ?
Is there a way to restore from the console ?

Problem solved, I document the solution for others :
open a console from repair mode
search the real system drive, instead of the X: default of the console
inn my case D:
cd Windows/system32
SystemHardwareProperties
Advanced options
start and recovery
tick the 'show os list' with 30 sec timer
close and reboot
when the system list appears, press F8 on wanted os
Then complete Advanced Boot Options menu appears, including safe mode
That saved my customer's server

I was one of the lucky Tennessee Kids who got to listen to Part 2 of The 20/20 Experience on iTunes a week before the album was released. Of course, I listened to the album on repeat the ENTIRE week, but I noticed that there was a song at the end of the album that was not listed on the track list. Is this a bonus track that is only available when you pre-order? It's on the album as if the last song is over 11 minutes long, but it's a completely separate song, so I don't know if it's an addition to the song or if it's a hidden bonus track.
I was going to purchase the album when it's released on Monday as a "complete my album" option since I've already purchased Part 1 of The 20/20 Experience and I want the COMPLETE Experience. But I may be rethinking my methods if that last song on Part 2 is not going to be available come Monday.....

Media Encoder CC not listed in the list of app in CC
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and I am a Adobe Creative Cloud for Teams member. I'm trying to install the new version of Media Encoder, but when i open Creative Cloud app it is not listed in the long list of apps. I have CS6 and CC installed on my computer.
Can you offer some suggestion how i can download and install this program?
I am trying to convert a mov file to webm and i am hoping Media Encoder CC can do that since I did not see a webM choice in media encoder cs6.
