Ultra stamina mode resetting notification preferences

Hi,
Loving my new Z3 compact but noticed a potential bug...Has anyone else used the ultra stamina mode and noticed the notification preferences reset once turning off ultra stamina?
I have tested the ultra stamina mode now several times and its very impressive - I got over a day with just 6% battery. However, when i turn the phone back to normal mode afterwards I find all the notifications I have turned off (facebook, instagram, etc) are back on popping up on the dropdown bar.
Has anyone else experienced this?

  • Ultra Stamina Mode problem

    Yesterday I've updated my phone to 4.4.4, and today I've activated the Ultra Stamina Mode option, and when it was done loading, everything was working fine.. I've disabled Ultra Stamina Mode, the phone rebooted, everything was working fine until I've enabled the Ultra Stamina Mode again, and after it was done loading, then I had to go.. I've listened to music on my MDR-ZX610AP(which btw, the button is now finally working), and after 30 minutes, when I came back home, I wanted to disable Ultra Stamina Mode, but it didn't work(I've tapped on the notification and pressed Okay as usually, but the phone was simply not responding to that command, I mean it was not preparing for reboot), so I've rebooted the phone by holding power and selecting restart, and after the restart, I got stuck somewhere between Ultra Stamina Mode and the normal mode.. My screen is gray, I only have some apps.. And I've tried to reenter the Ultra Stamina Mode and get back to normal, nothing.. Tried to reboot in normal mode, nothing.. What can I do, beside repairing using pc companion or factory reset? I don't really want to lose my data..

    That sounds strange. I suggest that you boot your phone into safe mode to see if you experience the same behaviour:

  • Ultra Stamina Mode Major Bug.

    I have a Xperia Z1, updated to the latest Android lollipop version. I enabled Ultra Stamina Mode today while I was out and once I got home I tried to deactivate it.  But it would not deactivate.  Therefore I just restarted the phone.  Once restarted I find that I'm still in some sort of ultra stamina mode hybrid. Most of my apps are hidden in the default Xperia Home launcher even though I can still see they're on my phone in Settings->Apps.  I can't open any of the few apps that are available as they crash.  I got frequent Google Play Services has crashed notifications. I restarted several times, activated and deactivated ultra stamina mode numerous times and still no luck.  I searched this issue through Google and found that many people have also encountered this problem and that the only solution was to do a factory reset. So there you go, I had to do a factory reset, lost all my apps and data which weren't backed up all because Sony can't do quality control when updating their phones. If you're going to add a feature Sony make sure you test the **bleep** thing on your phones!

  • Can't open a message in Ultra Stamina Mode

    For both suggestions, I need to try on Ultra Stamina Mode or usual mode?

    There's no messaging app which locates under Settings (either Ultra Stamina Mode or usual Mode) so I can't follow your 2 solutions.

    -I ensured the lock screen / notification bar doesn’t indicate “no service” when the device has coverage.
    -I cannot "close-all-button" in the activity menu because lollipop 5.0.2 update doesn’t provide the button for my Xperia Z1.
    -I did as this advice "Unblocked devices with server policies (such as Exchange Active Sync for e-mail), to enable the new Lollipop lock-screen notifications"
    -I ensured the LED light is lit across all sound modes - and no longer offset by “silent”
    -My internal memory is 5 gb so no need to move a content to SD card.
    However, as Sony and Android said "
    Improved messaging functionality in Ultra stamina mode – some conversations could not be opened before in Ultra stamina mode" then I think your team no need to tell a user that Messaging app is available for Ultra Stamina Mode before I activate the mode (it makes me confused). Some conversations or other should not have affecting to Ultra Stamina Mode. In the future, if some of an app doesn't work peffectly or your team does not on any app, could you please kindly don't push it and tell a user that it is available in the Ultra Stamina Mode?.   • Text messenger closes when opening convocation when in ultra stamina mode

    When I put the phone into ultra stamina mode it runs all programs fine and even opens up messenger but when I open a convosation it closes the program it only does this when the phone is completely updated when I factory reset it, messenger work fine in this mode any thoughts?

  • ULTRA Stamina Mode bugs

    1- When I am in ULTRA Stamina mode there isn't SMS app and I can't send SMS because Contacts app takes me to Whatsapp or Viber. But obviously I'm not able to use them. I use Hangout as default messaging app. But I think that's possible to use the stock messaging app in ULTRA Stamina mode.
    2- When I shut down ULTRA Stamina mode the phone forgets to hide all the notifications of the apps I've disabled in settings > Personalizations > notification settings.

    I believe Sony are aware of bugs surrounding Ultra stamina mode and have said that a bug fix will be issued but haven't said when exactly only Summer time

  • "Ultra Stamina Mode Repair": Z3 keeps restarting

    Hi,
    Since a little while I am owner of a Z3. Unfortunately, I can't use it because of the following problem. After I turned the Ultra Stamina Mode off, I get a pop-up that says: Ültra Stamina Mode Repair" Then my phone turns off and keeps restarting.
    Please, can someone help me? How do I solve this? It's really annoying and frustrating .

    Try performing a system repair using Pc Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone
    Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
    Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
    If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

    I have found that letter of "Alarm and Clock " is showing inappropriate in either the first of Thai alphabet or vowel of "า".
    -The first of Thai alphabet should show full name as "ก",not half of "ก"
    -The vowel of "า",not half of "า"

  • Enable (Ultra) Stamina Mode via an App

    I would very much like to automate enabling/disabling the (Ultra) Stamina Mode according to time (limited phone performance & calls/messages at night are more than enough). For instance Smart Connect allows me to run a specific app at a pre-defined time so if there were an app that would turn (U)SM on/off upon being run then this could be done quite easily. The question is, is enabling/disabling (U)SM programmatically possible?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Request: Walkman in Ultra STAMINA Mode

    In ultra stamina mode, it is a bit strange that you can view photos, watch movies, but you cannot play music.
    As music playback is a frequently used function for most users (preheps), I hope Sony would add walkman app to Ultra STAMINA mode
    In long term, I hope user can select custom apps in Ultra STAMINA mode, such as Whatsapp, which is known to consume few juice.

    I'm afraid i don't know the technical reason for this but i'll forward the feedback internally.
    But regarding 3:rd party apps and apps that requires a data connection it would probably defeat the purpose of this function.

  • Strange problem occurred after exiting from ultra stamina mode..please help

    I was using phone on ultra stamina mode since battery was very low and it got switched off once the battery was fully discharged.
    After recharging when I switched on phone and deactivated ultra stamina mode, I was surprised to see that almost 70% apps were gone. Only few apps like WhatsApp and shazam were visible.
    I checked apps setting, it was showing all apps that I had.
    One message was continuously appearing " Google play services has stopped, it is not supported by your device, contact manufacturer".
    I tried few things like clearing cache of play services and stamina app but no success.
    At the end I made a new user and was amazed to see that everything was working fine and play store was running good.
    But the main problem is that I want my old user to work fine and want all apps to appear that are not visible due to play services error or by ultra stamina error. Please provide the solution.

  • Stamina Mode: LED Notification for Calendar Events

    Is there any application I should add to the Stamina Mode exceptions list in order to get LED notfications for calendar events? I have already added the respective calendar application to the list so sound notifications are provided but the LED will still not flash.
    I have stumbled upon a relevant thread (http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-SP/Xperia-SP-Notification-LED-and-STAMINA-Mode/m-p/326146/highl... but it is from the middle of 2013 and the information provided therein might thus be outdated.
    Hints/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I just noticed that -- even if Stamina Mode is turned off -- the notification LED lights up only after waking the phone up. Is this by design?  I mean, the whole purpose of a notification LED is to, well, notify the user about events that they have missed while the phone was locked / in sleep mode...

    Stamina mode has been designed to turn the LED notifications off, as an effort to save as much power as possible. However, in products from Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Compact and later, the LED illuminates when there is an incoming call or message when STAMINA mode is on.
    I tested here and it works like you say, the LED doesn't flash for calendar reminders even when Stamina is off. I will forward that as feedback but it may perhaps work if you download another calendar application as long as Stamina is off.

  • Xperia Z3 always awake sometimes, even with Stamina, Ultra Stamina, Low Battery modes

    Hi to all,
    Has anyone every noticed his/her Z3 always awake (and thus bad battery life), even from within Ultra Stamina mode with no running apps?
    This happened to me twice now with just over two weeks of using this phone. I haven't been able to take specific steps to replicate this yet, but 2 days in about 16 days means so far over 12% of the days.
    Usually, the phone lasts over 24 hours with moderate use. I normally have stamina mode "on", and set to activate at 50% battery level, and then Low Battery mode to activate at 20%. Note also that all the apps I am using have been installed from the first day I've been using the phone. That is, I have not installed any new apps before I noticed this happening, and when I have "normal" battery life it is using the same set of apps.
    Here is an outline of what happens:
    I notice a much faster than usual power drain, despite being a typical day of usage (i.e. nothing out of the ordinary).
    I go to battery usage, and see the history details, and see that "Awake" has been on constantly, including during long screen off times, and all the while with Stamina mode enabled and active.
    I then restart the phone. Problem still there, still constantly awake despite screen off and stamina.
    Battery dips below 20% and Low Battery mode activates.
    Phone keeps on being constantly "awake", despite no usage and now both low battery AND stamina modes on.
    Restart the phone. Same problem.
    I turn on Ultra Stamina mode. (I did this last time at 17%)
    Phone continues to be always awake. Battery quickly drains down to 5% within less than an hour and almost no use, even though Ultra Stamina is supposed to stretch the life for an order of magnitude longer than that.
    I shut off the phone to avoid complete discharge. When I return home, I plug it in and wait for a decent charge before turning the phone back on.
    After full charge, I take the phone off the charger.
    Phone now works normally again, without always being "awake".
    I can't figure out what causes this sequence of events to kick off in the first place. I'm trying to play around with things to get it to start doing this, but so far I haven't been successful in deliberately replicating the problem.
    Anyone else experience anything like this before?
    My android version is 5.0.2, v. 23.1.A.0.726.
