Ultrabeat Saving Issues

Greetings,
I did a bit of searching on this and other forums, but found very little on this subject. When saving Ultrabeat presets, sometimes the sample OSC has none loaded and sometimes, it loads a completely different drum (Taiko for example). Has anyone else commonly seen this error within Ultrabeat? I noticed that this only happened with my previous custom template, "pre" Time Machine + Airport Update. Also, I noticed that if my template already has an Ultrabeat loaded on Logic Startup, the same weird bug happens again.
In short: Does anyone else have Ultrabeat preset saving issues, and if so, what did you do to work around it?
I know this problem is elsewhere on this forum, and somewhat forgotten, but I want to start fresh on this topic, and hopefully get to the bottom of this.

We can only hope that Apple solves this issue as well. But when you think about it, where do they begin with so many problems to address?
The Apples will need all the luck and coffee this side of the World. I don't even know what to expect from their ever so popular "update". I'm calling apple today, but they'll tell me the same thing they always say......which is not much.
Oh well, less crying, more producing.
Time to man up. (RMIV)
Cheers

  • Numbers saving issue

This message pops up about every 10 minutes. Can you tell me how to correct the issue?
    I'm running a MacBook Pro v 10.9.2 and Numbers v 3.2.
The Numbers spreadsheet is on my local hard drive and no one else is using it.

This Numbers document has always been in my Documents folder. But I copied it to my Desktop, then moved it back and I have the same "Saveing Issue" as shown above. It is really hard to believe that anyone using Numbers does not have this problem.

  • Day light Saving Issue

    Hi,
I am facing an issue with Date and Time objects. This looks something to do with the daylight-saving (UK).
I have a date field in the database where a date is saved with time as 00:00:00, say for example 23/01/1999 00:00:00
Upon querying and getting the result set, I am getting the Date and Time objects using rs.getDate() and rs.getTime().
Date is obtained correcting as 23/01/1999 and the Time object is 00:00:00. But when I do a getTime() on Time object
to get the milliseconds, it returns as -3600000 which is an hour back. This is causing an issue here.
Can someone please suggest me if this is a daylight saving issue as we have moved ahead by 1 hour here in UK.
Or is this issue fixed in any of the latest jdk, I am using jdk1.5.0_12?
    Many Thanks

    Hi,
Please find the below code. Consider the date stored in the db is 23/01/1999 00:00:00
             Date dateValue = rs.getDate (COLUMN_NAME);
             if (dateValue != null)
                   dateValue = new Date(dateValue.getTime() + rs.getTime (COLUMN_NAME).getTime());
}Here, the dateValue obtained in line 1 is right which is 23/01/1999. Also rs.getTime (COLUMN_NAME) gives the time as 00:00:00 which is correct.
But when I do a getTime() on it to get the milliseconds it returns -3600000 which is one hour back.
So finally when i add the date milliseconds and time milliseconds to get a new date value, it goes back one hour because of the -ve value. In this case since time is 0, going back one hour will switch the date back by one day. Hence the dateValue which I get after executing this code is 22/01/1999 23:00:00 which is wrong.
Could you please help me on this?

  • Excel saving issues error: Someone else is working right now, please try again later"

Excel saving issues  error: Someone else is working right now, please try again later"
I am running W8.1 with Office 2013 and accessing a shared drive, When I try to save an excel document back to the shared drive - I get the error msg
"Someone else is working in "servername\share\filename" right now, please try again later"
I can see that there is no one else accessing this file at all. I created a brand new file, added content, saved and got the same error.
When I use a W7 with Office 2013 accessing the same share drive, accessing the same file - I am able to save the document without issues.
Does anyone have any ideas what this could be.  Both of these situations are while working from home using a company vpn connection. It does not happen when in the office using either W8.1 or W7.
    Peter.

    Hi,
Saves when saving locally. Its looking more like W8.1 on a VPN connection that is causing the issue. What can I look for
I mean you can try to save it to local drive(like drive c:) and then copy it to shared drive.
If you gain the access to the shared file server, you can check the file status when you open this file.
Also you can check your event log to see which process causes this error.
Since I'm not familiar with VPN, I'd suggest you post your issue to the following forum:

  • Illustrator CC Command and Saving Issues

    HI,
My colleagues and I updated to Illustrator CC this week. We were hoping that the upgrade may fix an issue we have(in a seperate thread) and while it hasn't fixed it, it does seem to have created a couple more bugs as follows:
    1. Certain commands such as cut, group/ungroup, zoom etc.. dont seem to work all the time by using the keyboard shortcuts. If I try a command and it doesnt work, I need to scroll the page over using the mouse slightly and then the command seems to work for a few moments. Sometimes I am needing to do this 3 or 4 times in one job which can get quite infuriating.
    2. Sometimes when after openeing a file and adjusting the artwork, it is not giving the option to save(it is grayed out and the keyboard command doesnt work) and the file can only use 'Save As'
Stangley it doesnt seem to be happening on all our machines, we have 5 Macs running CC and only 2 have the Command Shortcut issues and only 1 seems to have the saving issue
Has anyone else had either of these issues or are aware of them? If so do you know of a solution or reason to the problems.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks

  • Apex Collection Saving Issue

Let me start out by saying that I'm new to the idea of using a collection in Oracle/Apex instead of straight DB work. That being said, I know the purpose behind it, and I believe the general idea of how to set it up and use it. That being said, I currently have an issue that I can't figure out.
I'm working on trying to fix a program that was built by someone else who is no longer here, and they are using a collection to store data temporarily until the remainder of a survey is saved, which it then copies everything over to the database.
I follow how the collection is created, how it is updated, and saved at the end. What I can't follow is that It is only saving part of the data when it is in IE, and NONE of the data when it is in Firefox.
What I had done was I copied the regions from the other pages that are being used once a survey had already been created (yes, the pages are separate not by my design but it's too late to try and fix all of the current problems AND merge all the pages together. That'll be the next release, but I digress). Now I checked (and made a backup of the page thankfully) and as far as I could tell, copying the regions and items from the other page should have worked just fine since they were using the same item names. Sadly however, it stopped saving relapses.
I checked an old version of the system, and I found the reason why. The version I am working on was apparently using the normal naming conventions of P86_RELAPSE_ID, etc, where it should have been P86_C001, etc. So, I went about the task of renaming (and updating the JavaScript that was running the page) all of the items. Well, I tested the system after only about 16 items and it saved perfectly! I was so happy. I started to apply the same changes to a few more, and the items I changed did not save. I checked and everything is setup correctly (item names, item settings, etc) so they should save the exact same way.
So, I tried opening it in Firefox so that I could keep items side-by-side while I am comparing them, and I noticed that none of the data when I "saved" a collection was staying in Firefox, but it would "save if I did it in IE.
I'm completely stumped at this point. Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thank you.
(PS: I'm sorry if what I am asking isn't too clear. I'm asking two things. First, why aren't items that are setup exactly the same, and the names all match the update and add data for the collection, saving to the collection, while others are? And the second question, is why isn't anything saving using this method in Firefox.)

The problem seems to have worked itself out.

  • Adobe Reader 2.0 for PocketPC power-saving issue

    Hello,
I have a Fujitsu-Siemens LOOX720 device and noticed that device battery discharges relatively quickly when I read PDF documents with Adobe Reader (Windows Mobile 2003SE).
The trouble is that device runs at turbo processor speed all the time the Adobe Reader document is viewed (even when you switch to other applications and put Adobe Reader instance to background).
I set the processor speed settings of my device to Automatic Mode and the rest of applications work as expected - they do not consume much CPU power when they are idle and the CPU is automatically switched to power saving mode. This does not happen when Adobe Reader is viewing the document and the only solution is to set the CPU settings to Power Saving mode manually. This is very inconvenient because rendering of PDF documents is too slow in power saving mode.
I hope the description is clear and it will help to fix this problem in future versions of Adobe Reader.
    Thank you!

    >>> battery drain happens only when the device is powered on and there is running instance of Adobe Reader with opened document. <<
Actually, my experience is continued battery drain when powered OFF and there is running instance of Adobe Reader with opened document.
One possibility is that when the midnight calendar update occurs, an open instance of reader may keep the unit powered on.
On windows mobile devices, the power button is a "suspend" button and applications remain open, and while normally inactive, some programs continue to run and make power demands on the ppc.
    >> report to adobe <<
It's been pretty obvious over the years that Adobe does not care about nor will invest any resources in the ppc reader to address any user issues.

  • Acrobat Saving issue or Product Question

I am developing a .net c# software to be used in house. I have Adobe Professional 8. I am able to put the pdf file into a form using the acrobat.dll file that comes with professional and this allows me to save the filled forms locally and also print them which is exactly what I need except for one thing. I'm going to have about 20 users in the building use this program and it's my understanding that distributing the software with the appropriate dll's won't work. Every user will have to have a copy of Professional on there machine in order to make it work. This would be very expensive and I doubt if I could sell it to upper management.
The reader activex module works perfectly except you can't save the files programmatically you have to use the damn save button on the toolbar which is unacceptable. I can't have users saving and naming forms anything and anywhere they want to.
I understand the need for Adobe not allowing people to have access to local hard drives on the internet, but my software will go no where near a web page.
My question is, is there a product that Adobe makes that would allow me to save filled pdf files locally.
I could even use the ability to save just the data, if I could read it in later. (Anyone have a clue or a bright Idea).
I would rather not use a third party control, but I may be forced to.
    Robert

It may be possible to setup a save button on the screen that uses JavaScript to do the job. I am not sure, but it might be a solution to your problem.
Before you go too much further, it might be worth taking a bit of time to read the EULA with regards to the user rights to be sure your use is within the limits of the EULA. The EULA does not look at forms in the sense of web distribution, but in terms of using the form. I think it also is in terms of number of uses.
Purchasing the extended rights server is probably not a reasonable solution for you at the price that it typically costs. For a small office, it would probably be cheaper to buy everyone Acrobat.
As long as the EULA is not a limiting feature, then look at alternatives such as JavaScript for saving the forms. I am a bit concerned about the automatic nature that Acrobat may have some issues with. Also, depending on the network saving to a network drive may be an issue - several folks have had problems with that.
I probably am not helping in understanding you need either, but at least it is another twist to consider.

  • "Something Interesting that Draws your Attention", Saving issues.

Hi, Am editing an hour long video for a friend with premiere 3. I am normally able to export my projects as AVI files with no problem. The thing is is that usually they are only 15 min at max but this is an hour long vid. I tried saving it to an external drive as I normally do that had 79 gigs of free space. It would stop 10 min into export and say "export error, no free space on drive." or whatever. I decided to just save it to the main internal hard drive in my comp. the only problem was I only had about half as many free gigs on it than needed to save the hour long vid. so I chopped the project in half and saved the first half as an AVI to the internal HD. when it finished my plan was to copy it over to the external drive, delete the file on the internal, so I had room, and repeat with the second half of the video.
After the first half completed exporting, I tried to play it and it said it was a damaged AVI file and offered to play anyways (which doesn't work) cancel, or try to repair it. It mentions trying to repare it could take along time.
My main concern is not this vid as much as another I will be finishing soon which will be almost 2 hours.
I wanted to know if anyone could give me some ideas or advise as to why I am having these issues and what other options for saving I might have. preferably AVI.
    Thanks!

I know I really should get more space but besides that 13 gigs should be able to fit into 79 free gigs on the drive and in the case of my internal one, a 5-6 gig file should fit into 11 gigs. Why would the AVI file I export immediately damaged? Please I need advise as to why it is having trouble saving when there IS enough space.

  • VBAK saving Issue

    Hi,
We have one order which is completed and Invoice is also generated.
But for some reason we are changing the status of order by changing it
in the database table with the help of abaper.
At the time of saving the table system is showing the error that
"Pricing procedure ZXYTY is not present is T683 table.
we checkes all the configuration settings everywhere that pricing procedure is present even in T683 table also.
then why system is showing this error  message which enable us to save the table?
even in drop down option that pricing procedure is present.
    How to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    regards,
    anup

    Hi Anup,
Not sure, but just a try-
Though Pricing procedure exist in Table:T683, I suggest you to check in Tx:OVKK where in which combination this pricing procedure is determined.
Then check in your sales order , whether the above combination is meeting the OVKK record or not?
Sales Org + Dist.Channel + Division +Document pricing procedure + Customer Pricing Procedure = Pricing Procedure.
I dont think, this hits the exact issue. Hope it may give hint to your further investigation.

  • Adobe Reader X Saving issue

After converting to Adobe X we are having issues with "save as" or "save" feature.
In 9 you could save a scanned pdf into a directory with a click of a button - after the first save when you save the second one it defaults to where you saved before.  Now you have to do a file save as and then each save requires you to drill down into the directory you were at before.  Pain in the neck....we have reverted by to 9 until this is fixed.

Thanks for the info. Maybe that would be nice to build into the Reader and/or Acrobat a function to check any existing installed Adobe versions on the PC and warn the user if there would be any incompatibility issue during the installation of a new Adobe product. Many no-name programs can do that............ The great Adobe no would be able to do that???????

  • Saving Issues

Hi, started making my parents a calendar present about a week
ago, and I have almost neared completion. Since I did not know how
to get the dates to change color if there is something planned
then, I came up wit a flagging system in which the user pulls a
flag off a menu and drags it to the necessary date, then, they
press save. However, I have run into some trouble.
The saving feature stopped working for no comprehensible
reason. First of all here's the code:

On version 4, the code works fairly fine( a few glitches, but
I just have to fix them). However, If you save it under a new name,
copy and paste into a new file, or anything else, it just doesn't
save. I tried using the original code again in a another file and I
had the same problem, which lead me to believe it's a computer
    glitch.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Try increasing accepted sharedObject size. What is probably
happening is that you are going over the current size set for
sharedObject so it canceling out. You could save all that info in
one sharedObject. You could also try running program in
administrator mode to see if it is a permissions issue.

  • Jpeg looks different than actual Image in Photoshop (saving Issues)

My image in photoshop has thin lines, but when I save it, the jpeg shows the image with very thick dark lines, looking not like the image in photoshop. Why does it do this? How can I stop PS from doing this to my image? I want the image to look as it does in Photoshop when I save it as a Jpeg.
    This is in Photoshop CS4
As it should be (using the snipping tool (I can't use the snipping tool as my only option, because it will only capture the size as it is on the screen, not the actual dimensions in Photoshop)
Saved as a Jpeg; the lines are thicker, and now there is little variation in line weight
Does anyone have a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just one comment...  Your lines in your screen grab are NOT thinner, they are simply a good bit lighter.
You should try to use the proper terminology, because you will end up realizing, when C.Pfaffenbichler helps you get to the bottom of your problem, that you likely are experiencing a gamma/color-management issue causing your pixels to be displayed far more lightly in one case than another.
Besides your color settings in Photoshop, it will also be helpful to know what color profile is associated with your monitor at the operating system level.
    -Noel
P.S., I don't know what result you're going for, but the JPEG with the darker lines looks a lot better on a calibrated display.  The screen grab seems too light.

  • Forms Saving Issues?

Hi I have created a form in Adobe 9 Pro, extended the features in Adobe Reader to allow saving. The Reader version is 11, most users can save to it. But there are some that get a message they must save a copy or to a different folder. Any idea what is causing my issues?
My plan was to create a master shift report document, have user #1 open it enter their information and save as 03-31-15.pdf then user #2 open that file, enter their information and save it as the same 03-31-15.pdf and user #3 open that file, enter their information and save as 03-31-15.pdf.
    Thank you,

Have you configured your Planning heap size settings?
Have you also reviewed your index and data caches in Essbase?
Do you maybe have a rule set to run on save on the form?
    Seb
