On entering the following URL
http://host:7780/um/admin/UMAdminLogin.uix
following message is displayed.
Oracle SSO Warning - Unable to process request
Either the requested URL was not specified in terms of a fully-qualified host name or OHS single sign-on is incorrectly
configured.
Please notify your administrator.
I checked the HTTP server orasso PL/SQL DAD properties and rectified the password and restarted the HTTP server. Even then the same issue is maintained.
Please provide solution ASAP.
OS: Windows 2000
Collaboration suite release 1 single box installed.

What browser are you using? I seem to remember having a problem with either Netscape or Mozilla where I was always redirected to the incorrect port after the SSO login. It's like it would redirect me to the port one higher than the correct one.
Just for kicks, after you login through SSO and get that SSO error, manually change the port number in the URL listed in the address bar of your browser to 7779 instead of 7780. See what happens.

I can't login from the desktop app - "Login error. Please contact the Admin."

1) Does anyone have the same problem as described below?
2) Does anyone know how to fix it?
When I try to "work online" from the desktop app, I get asked to log out of offline, then log into online. When I put in my username and password, it gives me the error "Login error. Please contact the Admin." I've clicked the link "Trouble logging in?" and followed instructions to reset my password, which I successfully reset to a new one. I still get the error.
I have a subscription to Adobe Story Plus and am working offline/online using the desktop app. I haven't logged in to sync my documents in about a month. My account is in good standing (paid 2 weeks ago according to my account transactions screen). I'm now trying to collaborate, so it's important that I be able to sync.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your response. I've resolved the problem myself, and you may be
interested to know how in case it happens again with another user - I
thought maybe it was a versioning discrepancy and I was right (I assume).
However, I couldn't update my desktop software (or I couldn't figure out
how to update it) until I rebooted my machine, then Story went into an
auto-update sequence.
After it updated, it logged in and sync'd just fine. Classic "help"
question where the answer basically was: reboot. I shouldn't tried that
before I posted!

When ever I try to log into the Adobe Story desktop app I get the error "Login Error. Please contact the Admin." and when ever I log into the web app all my content from before is gone! Please help me out here, I need to get the previous scripts before the end of the month!!!

Why does a Login Error occur: "AFP Client wants to use Keychain Login"?

I have three people in my house with separate logins. We are currently using two desktop G4s which are networked via 1000 Base T. When the users login to one of the Macs, they must enter their passwords twice. Once for the AppleShare login and then a second time for the KeyChain Login.
If I attempt to unify the passwords, which are exactly the same, I will get a login error: "AFP Client wants to use Keychain Login". At this point, a dialogue box will appear looking for a password, but not accepting any kind of text at all. All I can do is reset the Mac, go into my admin login and remove the login.keychain file from the local Library folder to get back into the User account.
In my attempts to fix this, I have removed every preference file with the word "login" in it and re-logged in without success. I have also used the Keychain Access software to administer Keychain First Aid without success. Finally, I have deleted the keychain login in Keychain Access without success. I have done all of these separately and together without success.
This is only happening on one Mac. The Mac that has no files on it. All working files are stored on the other Mac and it does not have the same problem at all.
This is not a huge problem, but it is annoying. I would appreciate it if anybody knows anything about this and could shine some light on the situation.

Anyway I tried the AppleJack Utility you suggested. It looked like it tidied up some things. But as for my particular issue, it did absolutely nothing.
Interestingly enough, you know when you aren't looking for something and that something just happens by accident? When I logged in the other day, I typed in the first login. The second dialogue came up immediately and I hit the cancel button instead of the OK button. When I was passed on to the Finder, the second login dialogue came up again. I typed in the password this time and checked the checkbox. When I relogged in, the problem vanished. I only waited this long to let you know to make sure the problem is gone and it is. I wish I would have thought of selecting the cancel button before. Sometimes solutions are simple like this one.

I still get the same error. But I have figured out what is wrong. Just in case other users encounter the same errors, here's what I did:
I created a tnsnames.ora file in my TIMESTEN_HOME/network/admin that has the connection info to testenv Oracle instance. +(i dont know if this is necessary)+. Then:

Sql 2005 login error

We are migrating from JD Edwards on AS400 to Microsoft Dynamics GP on SQL 2005. I can create and refresh reports without problem using sa as the login account in Crystal. When I use any of the users created in Dynamics GP (as they have to for users to access GP) I get a login error from the SQL server. This is using the same ODBC connection and I have taken some of the users and elevated there permission on the GP database and/or overall sql server to even dbo and sysadmin and still cannot get any login other than sa to work. Any sql GURUs out there that can tell me what I'm missing?

I have tried creating ODBC connections (and also found a business objects article on OLE DB and tried that) with SQL Authentication and also with windows. I have made sure my users have usernames in GP that are all lower case name and password. The only thing that is getting me close is to use windows authentication on the odbc connection, set the odbc connection to a specific sql database, and give the users windows read permissions to that database. You would think Microsoft (since they blow their marketing horn about how Crystal Reports works with GP) or Business Objects would have the user and odbc setup for this documented.

IPhone deploy gets Login Error (Invalid username/password). Android works

Hi, we're developing an ADF Mobile app on JDeveloper 11.1.2.3 which does initial authentication against Weblogic.
The login & app works fine on Android, but fails when we deploy the same app to iPhone (iOS 5.0.1, but also 5.1, 6.0 & 6.1 in the Simulator).
Specific message is :
Login Error
Invalid username/password. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator.
It's definitely on the network and reaching the login server, because when we shut down the server or make the network unavailable, the message reports "The login server is not reachable"
All I can think is it's possibly encrypting the password differently within iOS.
Not having much luck on Google or other searches, so any thoughts are appreciated.

I found a bit more information in the Weblogic Managed Server logs proving the login request reaches the server, but gives this error. Not much luck on google so, if this rings any bells for anyone thoughts are appreciated.

IViews throwing exception from Non Admin Login?

Hi,
I have created some iViews using .Net PDK for SAP.
I have added these iViews to a page. Then the page is added to workset. I have created a new role and assigned this workset to the new Role. Then I have created a new User and associated this user with the newly created Role.
Now the problem is whenever I login to portal using new user name and password I am able to see the workset as well as page and iViews. But these iViews are throwing following exception.
An Error occurred while processing one of the iViews on this page in the .NET server.
More information:

However these iViews are running properly when I preview them from admin login.
What are possible causes/solutions for the above mentioned behavior?

Hi Vikas
You should use the Permission Editor to assign user, group and role permissions to portal objects.
You can launch the Permission Editor in two ways:
1. Using the central Permission Editor
a. Choose System Administration ® Permissions.
b. Locate the folder or object you want to assign or edit permissions for, right-click it and choose Open ® Permissions from the context menu.
2. Using the object-specific Permission Editor
a. Launch the relevant administration tool or editor in the portal.
b. In the Portal Catalog, locate the object or folder to want to set or edit permissions for. Then, do one of the following:
i. Right-click the object and choose Open ® Permissions from the context menu.
ii. Open the object in the editor, and from the Display menu or drop-down list, choose Permissions.

As for your doubt on why you are able to view the iViews from an administrator's login,it is because The standard super administer role is assigned maximum access to the entire set of portal initial content. The Super Administrator role is assigned by default to the Administrators group. Therefore, initially all standard administrator users have super administrator permissions in the portal.

SQL 4060 Login Error

We have recently released a couple of new reports, but have discovered that although the reports run fine when launched in WEBi, whenever we try to refresh the report we fail with a SQL 4060 Login failed error message. This occurs in WEBi and BO. The reports run fine when logged into a 'Supervisor' level account.We've reviewed user permissions, but can't seem to find the cause of this issue. Any ideas?

I have tried creating ODBC connections (and also found a business objects article on OLE DB and tried that) with SQL Authentication and also with windows. I have made sure my users have usernames in GP that are all lower case name and password. The only thing that is getting me close is to use windows authentication on the odbc connection, set the odbc connection to a specific sql database, and give the users windows read permissions to that database. If the admin type of column in database is true then it must allow the admin to certain page. Otherwise it must not redirect. So i have used this logic. When i am checking it is showing everything true,but it is not redirecting and it is saying that login failed. Please try the above code with a sample database table and verify it. Login Failed or Admin doesn't exist The above output describes that it is moving the cursor from first row to the last row and checking all the usernames i n each row with the given username, and it is also checking wheter it is admin or not. Currently i have three rows so it is moving three times. It is retreiving every value correctly but in comparing it is not comparing. What to do.

The buttons are all created using the same library object (but MC), except for the code you have in the revised file does not call on that for the con button.
You have it calling on something with a linkage name of "con", which a quick check tells me doesn't exist--so it is undefined in the code when you try to use it. I found this by using trace(newConBut._x); after its _x value was assigned, as I mentioned you should try.   So the first thing you want to do is change the following line from...
var newConBut = _root.attachMovie("con", "conbut", _root.getNextHighestDepth());
To
var newConBut = _root.attachMovie("but", "conbut", _root.getNextHighestDepth());
so that it uses the but MC that serves that purpose in the library. Then you want to correct the _x assignment of the buttons to what I think you had earlier...

newRecBut._x = newConBut._x-newRecBut._width;

Do i need a separate appleID and password for itunes store, icloud and app store apart from my admin login and password?

after having my mbp upgraded with new m.lion by apple tech service i noticed that applications like iphoto, garageband and imovie are gone
researched online and was told that i had to acess the `purchase` via AppStore where it asks me to log in with Apple ID and password
i used the usual admin login and password and didnt work, also on itunes and icloud the similar case
do i need to register with a separate appleID and password for itunes store, icloud and app store apart from my admin login and password?

Just use the same Apple ID and password that you used to access this forum - that's your Apple ID.
The user name and password on your computer has nothing to do with your Apple ID.

Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g - 'unexpected login error'

I am having trouble logging into Oracle Enterprise Manager - Fusion Middleware Control. at the login screen when i enter in the UN and PWD, I get the msg: 'unexpected login error'. I was able to login before, this just happend and now I cannot login. Any help would be appreciated.

Whenever I launch firfox through non admin login, I get an alert message.
