UMASK & DIR_MODE for local & NFS use?

I am trying to replicate my Debian setup on Arch, where I have UMASK set to 002 in /etc/login.defs and DIR_MODE to 0700 in /etc/adduser.conf, so that all files created on my NFS share have mask 0664 and local users' home dirs are created with mask 0700.
On Arch there is no /etc/adduser.conf, and adduser just creates users' home dirs according to UMASK set to 077 by default in /etc/login.defs, which means there is no "easy" way to differentiate, and to get the mentioned behavior, the only way seems to be to either patch /usr/sbin/adduser with setting the mode to 0700 after homedir-creation, or to do that manually after adding a new user.
Setting UMASK always has been a problem, because afaik there is no way to separate on local and NFS use, so to have files on a NFS share be fully accessible by a group of users (and be readable by others), one has to set UMASK to something like 002 on all accessing machines, and then take care of local user protection (by setting mode to 0700 to users' homedirs).
Does anybody know if there is any easier way to accomplish that task?
Any hint for a different proceeding?

It's possible but with problems...
When JNLP is on sandbox mode no problem. When it's on J2ee-permissions or all-permissions mode you've got to configure the javaws.policy with permissions of sandbox. So the administrator just haven't to grant access to the policy file by customers...
When Java Web Start use JRE younger than 1.4 no problem, but when JRE is 1.4 or more, Java Web Start seems to don't use the javaws.policy file. I search informations about this problem for 2 weeks but I find nothing...

Device Central CS5.5 cannot navigate my proxy server, and my security unit is never going to provide an exception to allow it.
I need Device Central to at least start-up so I can review some mobile website designs. But all I get upon starting DC is two requests for my proxy credentials then a message stating DC cannot connect to the online library. Clicking OK to the "no connection" message shuts DC down. Why? CS5 Help is usually located at /usr/<username>/Library/Preferenecs/chc.487...../Local Store/Help folder.
CS6 help is usually downloaded to the shared location, unless it is restricted. In that case the above folder may be used for downloading help.
Yes, the offline content setting in Adobe Help Manager, will work for both CS5 and CS6 help and help clients.
'Expired Status' usually refers to the state when local content goes stale, and there is new offline content available on Adobe.com servers. Yes, a user may click on Download/Update button to update the expired content from Adobe Help Manager.
Regarding the CS5 product help launch, I will need some more information to provide a reply.
1. Which product and version of CS5 is the customer facing problem with.
2. What is the status of help downloaded for the same product (CS5 or CS6 in Adobe Help Manager)
3. Is the user able to see downloaded help in the above mentioned folders

Making a custom repo for local/shared use

Hi there, I don't want to mirror the official repos but to make a local one to easily manage the packages I create, however I get an error since I don't have a database (only packages).
How do I make this DB? (already looked twice at the wiki and google, no luck)

If the db doesn't already exist, the first repo-add creates it.
If that's not clear in the wiki, update it.

Use airport for internet and ethernet for local?

Hi. Ive searched around and cant find an answer for this.
I have a 27" imac connected to my router and all works fine for accessing the internet.
I have several other devices close by that I want to connect via ethernet. If i connect the imac to another router via ethernet I can browse my local devices but loose internet connectivity. It is as if the imac will suspend the airport connection while the ethernet cable is connected. I don't want my second router to act as a bridge as it doesn't support N speeds.
Essentially, I want the imac to use airport for internet and the ethernet port for local files.... The only workaround I have is to unplug the ethernet cable from the back of the imac when i want to use the internet. I'm hoping it's just a DNS issue, but cant seem to resolve it.
I do not need internet connectivity for the other devices and don't see how i can do that without enabling the wireless side of my second router and then creating a bridge...
Any suggestions?

It is as if the imac will suspend the airport connection while the ethernet cable is connected.
The Connection Order on your iMac is set so that if both AirPort and Ethernet are "on", the iMac will give priority to the Ethernet connection.
If you want to configure your iMac so that it gives priority to an AirPort connection if both AirPort and Ethernet are "on", give this a try:
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock) and open Network
Click on the small gear icon at the bottom of the connection list on the left
Click on Set Service Order and drag AirPort to the top of the connection order list
Click OK, then click Apply
Now, if both AirPort and Ethernet are active, your iMac will give priority to the AirPort connection. If you want to connect using Ethernet, you will have to turn AirPort off by clicking the fan shaped AirPort icon at the top of your computer screen.

Can I use the Galaxy in Germany if it's "unlocked" with a local SIM (for local rates)?

Can I use this phone in Germany with a *local* SIM card for local rates if I get Verizon to unlock it or do I have to wait for the ever-elusive upgrade for this to be possible?
I have been with Verizon since 2006, my original HTC Incredible has been eligible for an upgrade since April, and I was planning to stay with Verizon since I'm overall happy with the service. However, this uncertainty about being able to use the phone globally (and specifically in Germany) with local SIM cards has me considering other carriers for the first time, who have not crippled their phones in this way. In particular AT&T I guess. I don't understand why Verizon would choose to limit their phone like this.
I would like to stay with Verizon, but I'm not going to wait indefinitely for a required update -- unless someone authoritative can tell me that I am able to use this phone with a local SIM card with local rates in German right now. That would make me very happy .. otherwise, I guess it's time to check out the Galaxy on the other carriers.

Hmm .. thanks for the info, I was afraid of that .. I'v really been wanting to upgrade my phone for a few months now ... and the S III seems like the best phone right now, but not without that feature. I would rather stick with Verizon though but I am looking at the other carriers because of this.
Also just found out that FM radio isn't available on the North American versions of the phone .. too bad, my DInc has it, and it helps limit data usage (and presumably uses less power than streaming, plus not all stations stream). It's not a required feature for me, but it was a nice option to have..

No, an ejb that exposes a local view can only be accessed by an ejb or web component packaged within the same application. Parameters and return values for invocations through the ejb local view are passed by reference instead of by value. That can't work for an application client since it's running in a separate JVM.

Which way is used to allocate/deallocate memory for locals?

I would like to know how memory is allocated/deallocated for local variables in an activation record/frame. For example, in the following java code:

11 } At line 5, memory is allocated for variable y. Is this memory deallocated at line 6 (right after its declaration block), or after the line 11 at which point the whole activation record for the method is popped out of the stack?

Perhaps I did not state my problems clearly. Here is my real purpose: I am trying to monitor a program's runtime behavior by dynamically maintaining an object graph where nodes represent runtime objects and directed edges represent "refer to" relation between objects. To better understand my questions, let me first briefly introduce my algorithm to update the object graph:
1. add an edge (between objects): when a local refers to an object, add an edge from the enclosing object to the referred object
2. delete an edge: when a local refers to another new object, delete the edge from the enclosing object to the previously referred object; or the memory allocated for this local is deallocated.
For example, if I have the following Java method,

Through Computer Management when I create a user, a home directory is created for the same user in the folder C:\Users.I am creating a user through powershell in a remote machine.I am using the following script to create user

I am new to SAP's BR*Tools, and need advice in configuring it to use RMAN.
1. My backups are to be written to a staging area on our SAN.
2. What specific parameters do I need to configure in the initSID.sap file to achive Full (Level 0) backup to local/NFS disk - preferably using RMAN?
3. I have successfully performed a Full (Level 0) backup without RMAN to local disk. Also, I have successfully done an incremental (Level 1) backup using BRTools with RMAN. I want to get BRTools + RMAN based Full (Level 0) backup to local/NFS disk.

Excise duty in the Pricing Procedure for Local Purchase / Importation

I'd like to know how to set up the pricing procedure for the purchase of an IS Oil Material; for local purchase and importation, especially with regards to the excise duty posting.
Local purchase: the vendor will bill us inclusive of the ED tax he previously paid, so the tax is just passed on to us.. My receiving location has ED paid status. In the PO item, we need to see this price (inclusive of tax) in the net price field.
Importation: the vendor only bills us the cost of the material. When we received the fuel, we paid ED tax to local tax authorities.
I know that both in these scenarios, the system has to determine the excise duty.
My questions are (1) how do you set up the excise duty condition type in the pricing procedure(or do they have to be maintained in the pricing procedure?) ? and (2) how do you set up this condition type in the config?

put 4 in subtotal in pricing procedure against the Discounr or freight cond
and in taxinn

But this will work only if same discount or freight value is in IV as that given in PO
if freing value changes in IV then its a problem
This is SAP bug, and SAP workes in that way only, freight value should be same in PO and IV
other solution
in taxinn create tax code like v8 vat 4% for 003 tax clasification
in ftxp create tax code V8 desc vat 4%
in fv11 for jvrd put 4
and at the time of IV put this tax code for freight amount
and for regular material value V1 tax code
this will work only if u have used acess seq MWST instead of JTAX pr JST1

EXTENDED_PROGRAM_CHECK to get the errors and warnigs of a epc for a program.
then you can download that internal table information using GUI_DOWNLOAD fm.
