Hi,
I am just a little disappointed about the fact that the together modeling function needs to be purchased separatedly from Borland. I just want to know in the public release of Netweave 04, will together be included for free?

So I have been in hospital and rehablitation hospital for about six weeks and another two weeks at home, trying to get on the feet again.
When I returned, I saw the point-rewarding system on SDN, so in the first week, I was completely blocked by awarding you points for every tip in the past
The WebDynpro project now has come more or less to an end, so at the moment I'm personally back on EP topics.

how build a remote server?
How can i set in the developer studio>windows>Preferences-->SAP J2EE Engine
and how to set in the SAP application server?(ECC6).

you give the WAS (web application server) path, you will gate them from below link..

For All about NWDS
the easiest way to download NWDS is in Service Marketplace , there go to the software download center (service.sap.com/swdc) and click on "Search for all Categories" on the left hand side. If you search for "Developer Studio" and then click on "SAP NW DEVELOPER STUDIO 2.0" in the results, you can navigate down and find the SP that you are looking for. SP18 is available now.

Starting server from the Developer Studio

Hi all,
During starting the server in the SAP MC perspective in NWDS, the System prompts me to enter my Username and Password :
"Please, enter the credentials of the SAP System Administrator (<SID>adm)"
Which system administrations credential are meant here indeed?
The Username and password, which I normally use to deploy an application is not accepted here.
Should I enter my Username in a special combination?

you should use your OS username and password to start/stop the server.

Replaying a Test Script in the Developer Studio

Cannot deploy from netweaver developer studio to application server

I am trying to deploy a simple EAR (ConverterEAR) to my application server.
From NW developer studio, right clicked on the SAP server that I have configured and try to a publish. It gives me the below exception. For some reason its trying to contact my old IP address. Is there a file where I can change this setting. My Laptop is set to use DHCP so my IP changes when I reboot my laptop. I also have configured a Microsoft loop back adapter.

Hi,
you could change the connection settings to the server in the preference page in the Developer Studio. Check <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/0cf28fb4d01f23e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm">this</a> page in the documentation for details.
In your case, you can also use the host name of your laptop, or even just localhost, in the Message Server Host field in the preferences page. This should overcome the problem with dynamic IPs.

How to edit a PDF document in Netweaver Development Studio?

Dear Experts,
I am trying to edit a PDF file in the Netweaver Developer Studio.
Can anybody tell me how can I import and edit it in the Netweaver Developer Studio?
I am trying to do some editing.Eg. adding action buttons, adding input fields etc to the PDF file.
If somebody has previously done such things or have some idea, I would like to hear from your experiences.

Thank you for the immediate response.
Now I can import the pdf files and edit them.
However there is a problem.
I can only open the pdf files which I created by the developer studio.
When I open the pdf files those created by a scanner, they appear blank. However, when I open the same files with acrobat reader, the contects in the file appear.
I will be very thankful if you could help me in this.

From Visual Composer to Developer Studio

Masters I need some help here!
I import into the developer studio a *.par file, made with visual composer, so I can modify it from the developer studio.
The project don't compile because the "GmlDynController" class is missing, so as there's not import sentence in the *.java file, I searched (all over the PC where was install the portal and Visual Composer) for the *.jar or folder containing "GmlDynController" and nothing I found.
I searched all over the sap's sites "GmlDynController" and nothing was display.
I only know that is a class introduce by the visual composer and if it's use must be at somewhere.
¿Does anybody could tell me where is the GmlDynController?

Finding the classesfor the par files is a time consuming task. here are some means tools which will help you find them.

J2EE Perspective Error in NetWeaver Developer Studio

Hi there,
I'm currently trying to get an existing EJB jar into the NetWeaver Developer Studio.
- I created a new EJBModule Project and imported all files into the EJBModule folder
- then I get "EJB Candidates"
- I include all these candidates into the ejb-jar.xml
- then I get a new structure below ejb-jar.xml where I can adjust all Bean settings.
Now the error:
When I close the Developer Studio and open it again. This structure is gone. I can't edit the Beans settings and I can't create a jar file any more.
I'm using version 2.0.5
Please help!!! At the moment I have to create a new project every morning...

Error while starting SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio

Hi,
I have installed Java SDK (v1.4.2_09) and Netwearver development
studio (2.0.13) on my laptop.When i try to lanch the development studio
i get an error, (!MESSAGE Exception launching the Eclipse Platform:).

I got this solution from SAP and it worked.
This is a known problem that appers due to an implementation bug,
while trying to read the proxy information. The studio expects non-
empty value for key com.tssap.config/proxy, located in
[YourDevStudioInstallationPath]\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.java.ide\pl
ugin_customization.ini file. During the installation no value is
assigned to this key (as you mentioned - no proxy in your case). The
problem will be fixed for SP14, however there is a workaround:
1. Change the value for key com.tssap.config/proxy in
plugin_customization.ini to something like this - proxy:80.
2. After this change the DevStudio should start and you'll be able to
configure your proxy settings from Menu Window->Preferences-
>Workbench->Proxy Settings. (In your case - disable the proxy
server)

Simple: add web dynpro to netweaver developer studio

I downloaded and installed a java version of NetWeaver that has only the developer studio.
is there a package that I can use to add web dynpro ?
or do I have to download another version that has both ?

SAP Developer Studio with no Portal Application option

Hello everyone, can someone help me in this problem:
I have installed these days the SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP 7 on Web AS 6.40 and additionally after that I installed for development the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio the version 2.0.3.
I deployed with SDM those 2 files of PDK 6.0 SP6 in .sda format and add the Java developer role to my admin. I've downloaded from the portal the plugin Connector for Eclipse and copy it in the IDE plugins directory. I made a download in a local directory of the jar files too.
Starting the Developer Studio with the reason of developing, I can't see in my File-> New ->Project any option like Portal Applications. Not in Windows -> Preferences either.
Have I done something wrong? If someone had the same problem maybe and want to give a little help.
I'm thinking now that maybe the version of Developer Studio is too old. If so, does anyone can tell me from where I can download a newer one, because I have seen some links that dont work.

Hi,
your version of DevStudio seems indeed to be outdated. If I remember correctly, then EP6 SP7 runs on WebAS 640 SP8? Therefore you should use DevStudio 2.0.8 (where .8 denotes the support package of your WebAS installation)
You can download a newer version of DevStudio from service marketplace. A trial version of DevStudio 2.0.7 is available here on SDN in the "Downloads/WebAS" section.

How to run workflow from Developer studio ?

I searched for a work item type in the developer studio and it showed the results, but could not find out how to run it from there.. I know we can run it from there.. There is no run button or options available.
Do i need to setup some profile options ?

Are you logged in as the Workflow Administrator or a user who has been assigned that responsibility?
Have a look on the Administration tab and it will show you who is configured as the admin.

Developer Studio: Access to Message Server Port

Hello,
in our case developer wants to access the java instance of an add-in installation (SAP WEB AS JAVA-Version: 6.40 SP16).
The Problem is, that the direct access from the developer studio to the server is not possible without problems, because in the middle is a firewall placed that is not under our maintenance.
Is it possible to organize the access via something like the saprouter?
We have to keep in mind, that in future other groups has to access other java instances, so that we want to use a single point of entry trough this firewall.

Problem with Management Console for Netweaver Development Studio

I installed the Netweaver Development Studio and all works fine
Normally the MMC shows SAP Systems and a J2E instance below it which is used to start the services
But when I shutdown my machine and restart it again the J2E item below the SAP Systems does not appear and I cannot restart the J2E/SAP/DB/J2EE services
Is there another way I could restart all the related services from a batch file or a utility that takes a config file
because for the last few days I am having to re-install the Developer studio to get it to work
Please help me on this because I am wasting atleast 2 hrs daily to reinstall so that I can control all my services

I think I temporarily fixed this problem I am not sure how this will affect the development.
But atleast I can start the J2EE/DB services so that I can start and stop services from the MMC
What was happening was that the services
SAPJ2E_00
SAPJ2E_01
were not starting up because of the logon problems, the default account that was created SAPService( something like that ) was not able to log on, I changed the logon permissions to "Local System" and started the service, this time atleast the service started.
I need to launch the Development Studio and see if I am able to work with the new account permissions on the J2EE server
