Umstellung Windows 7 und Upgrade Elements 8

Ich habe mit Windows XP und Photo
shop Elements 4 gut gearbeitet. Nun habe ich auf Windows 7 umgestellt. Alle meine Kreationen (Diaschau) und Stapel sind verschwunden. Elements 4 habe ich deinstalliert und nun Elements 8 installiert. Leider entstand keine Verbesserung. Was muss ich tun, um die bisherige Qualität (Einordnung nach Tag's und meine Kreationen) wieder zu erhalten?

Hmmm, alles nicht so ganz einfach. Worauf ich hinaus wollte ist die Bild- und Katalogdateien auf die neue Machine zu transferieren (sind sie wohl schon), in der exakten Dateistruktur wie sie auf dem alten Rechner waren. Das geht aber nicht, da die Dateistruktur in Windows 7 etwas anders ist.
Mein naechster Vorschlag waere Windows XP Mode auf der Win 7 Machine zu installieren (wenn es geht, siehe weiter unten), dann PSE4 in XP Mode zu installieren, die Dateien und den Katalog in der oben erwaehnten Form zu kopieren. Dann, wenn PSE4 laueft, auf PSE8 umstellen und entweder in der XP Mode bleiben oder via Back-up & Restore auf Windows 7 porten.
Das klingt etwas kompliziert, ist aber m.E. den Versuch wert. Es gibt moeglicherweise auch andere Wege zum Ziel, vielleicht hoeren wir ja hier von jemand, obwohl dies ein vornehmlich englischsprachiges Forum ist.

Naja, aber wirklich tiefgehende Informationen zu deinem System haste ja auch nicht gegeben, also kann da auch keiner mehr dazu sagen. Wie gerade in einem anderen Thread geschrieben, könnte es eben sein, das das System einfach nicht kompatibel ist, aber das können wir nicht wissen.

Windows 7 Clean Install Elements 7 Install

I am going to upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7 with a clean install.
I will have a backup of my hard drive.
After I do the clean install of Windows 7 and install Elements 7 how do I get Elements 7 back to the way it was in Vista. I am particularly concerned about restoring all the Elements 7 tags.

If your photos reside on the C drive only, and you put your photos and catalog folder back to the same exact locations they had on your Vista system, then PSE 7 should be able to open the catalog just fine. Do Help > System Info in the Organizer to find the location of your catalog folder.

Upgrade elements 9 for i-Mac 27 inch

is there a possibility to upgrade elements 9 for i-Mac. I've been told by Adobe thats it is not possible and that I should buy the new version (elements 11)
I have just used one license of the version 9 and bought it in august 2011.
Solutions welcome.

If you bought the download for windows, you will have to buy PSE 11, since download versions are only for a single platform. Otherwise, what 99jon said.
If you're concerned about compatibility with 10.8, everything from PSE 6 onwards should work in 10.8.

Quit the editor, then relaunch it while holding down command+shift+option. Keep holding down the keys till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.
It wouldn't hurt to repair permissions, either.

Usually the only reason it will ask you to reboot is if there is a file that must be modified that the updater doesn't currently have access to. You should try running the Firefox program once as Administrator:
* Right-click the icon and choose ''Run as Administrator''
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
# Download a fresh copy of Firefox from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/fx/ Mozilla download page] and save the file to the desktop.
# [[Uninstalling Firefox|Uninstall]] your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before running the new installer.
# Run installer
Remember that you don't want to remove personal data when uninstalling. That way you'll still have your personal information.

If you never bought the product then you cannot get the serial number.

Windows 8.1 upgrade suggestions:
There are some important steps to take prior to doing the upgrade. Review this MS posted document. Be sure to run the upgrade assistant.
Be sure that Windows 8 has all of the latest MS updates installed. There are prerequisite patches that are required.
Be sure that you have at least 40 GB of hard disk free space.
Back up your data to external media.
Make a Windows 8 recovery media to external media before doing the upgrade. I prefer to use a third party hard drive imaging program.
Temporarily disable the antivirus software.
You will need to reinstall your programs after the upgrade so make note of which ones are required.
Check the HP Support site for Window 8.1 updates for your particular PC. If you don't see any updates then your PC has not been tested/certified with Windows 8.1.

I've been running 64-bit Windows 8 Consumer Preview very nicely for several months and want to upgrade to 64-bit Windows Pro on my Pavilion a1440n. When I've tried to install from within the OS I get weird messages indicating that it can't be installed on a USB Flash drive (which I'm not trying to do). When I tried doing a clean install I got an odd message saying that certain installer files were missing and it would not complete. I called Microsoft customer support and the agent there thought my cpu would work because it wouldn't support Hyper-V, even though I understand that it optional. From running coreinfo.exe I can see that I have the PAE, NX, and SSE2 on the cpu enabled as meets requirements.
When I ran through th HP site I saw that this machine has not been tested. Is there any way of getting confirmation that Windows 8 Pro 64-bit will or won't run on my machine? The HP Product code for it is ER904AA#ABA.

Did it work with previous ii.x version?
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

Windows 8.1 Upgrade and no WiFi no Ethernet

Im praying that somebody could help me with my problem.
ive upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1 and since then my wifi connection breakes every now and then and my ethernet adaptor doesnt work anymore. according to my research thats a common problem. i tried all solutions i found but nothing works.
my device manager says that both (wifi and ethernet) drivers are up to date and ready to use but the wifi breaks down and needs a reset. the ethernet adptor doesnt work either. lan cable (brand new and tested) is not recognized.
id be so thankful, if somebody could help me.

I’m sorry to hear that the LAN and Wireless is not working as expected after updating to Windows 8.1, normally to avoid compatibility issue all the drivers should be updated when the computer is in Windows 8.
