Un-analysed footage - warning before I export?

I want premiere to warn me if I am exporting a sequence with un-analysed footage.
It is very annoying to export, then find that the blue banner has been exported too!
I know you can set it it 'hide banner' but really I want it to warn me if there are any un-analysed clips BEFORE I export.
Does anyone know how to set this up- I tried my best but couldn't find out how.

I have to agree with MauiDude - the exact same thing happened to me.  I had just purchased this app and spent two days creating a spreadsheet and entering data.  I was working in the spreadsheet and went to the web to check on a number and I got the "can't open spreadsheet" message.  I was using the spreadsheet 5 minutes earlier !!!  I created it on the iPad and only used it there since I was on vacation.
For those who say Excel and other programs have bugs -- really, that's the best you can say?  This has been a bug for over a year now and Apple still hasn't fixed a known issue with their software.  This is horrible !!  I did contact Apple support by phone and provided feedback on the support web site.  The online folks also said that ALL software has bugs.  Yet most good programers fix CRITICAL bugs in far less than a YEAR !!!  I also put a WARNING on the app store reviews. People need to know that they need to wait for this HORRIBLE BUG to be fixed.
I really did expect more from Apple.  I guess they have gotten so big now that they are no better than any other companies -- and with this program, THEY ARE FAR WORSE !!!

When closing Firefox windows, I would like a warning before the last window closes. The about:config settings do nothing. There is a warning for multiple tabs... why not for the last window? I do not use tabs... just windows... I have a mouse button programmed for that. It is really irritating to have to restart Firefox all the time and then open the history window because no warning was issued!

This is ridiculous. I've had this problems for years now and I'm finally walking away from Firefox. I use my keyboards more than my mouse, and how many times does your finger slip and hit Command Q instead of W. How come FF can't reset something as trivial as this? So many people are having problems with this?
Feels like FF has become too big, too slow and just not cooperative anymore. What a shame, I've been using Netscape/Firefox for 13 years. This is silly.

  • HT1446 No low battery warning before it shuts-down

Under MAvericks OS-X, our MBP isn't giving a low battery warning before it shuts-down. And yes the battery status icon is active in the status bar..  So why no warning??

  • There is no warning before deleting a playlist or folder?

    Hello all,
I wanted to ask if there's a way to get a warning before deleting a playlist or folder?
I've organised my music in folders with playlist but hitting the return button will remove a complete folder at once and I don't know how to recover it. The songs are still in the lib but how can I recollect my lost playlists when I have a few 1000 songs in the lib?
Or is there a way to backup the playlists so I can recover them that way?
    Thank you

You likely selected, at one time, the "Do not ask again" box when you deleted a playlist. If something's already been deleted, do not expect to get it back. If you want that option to return again, you may be able to deleted you iTunes plist. With iTunes closed, go to your home folder > library > preferences and delete a file called come.apple.itunes.plist. Restart. Try and open iTunes and remove a playlist (create a blank one if there's nothing you can safely delete).
As for saving playlists and such:

  • I can not add the warning before buying an app. Could you please explain how to add this warning

Please tell me how to add the warning before purchasing an app?

    Hey klw67
Thanks for the question. Are you referring to the prompt for your password? If so, this can be achieved by utilizing the Restrictions (parental controls) of the specific device. For information on setting up and using Restrictions, see this resource:
    iOS: Understanding Restrictions (parental controls)

  • Warning before emptying junk mail folder

I am not sure if this option is disabled by default in the latest Thunderbird(31.4.0) but I used to get a warning popup asking if I am sure I want to empty the junk mail folder.
How do I enable the popup warning before emptying junk mail folder.
    Thanks in advance.

'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Advanced' > 'General' tab
    * click on 'Config Editor' button
It will tell you to be careful :)
    * In top search type: junk
    * look for this line: mailnews.emptyJunk.dontAskAgain; Value = true
    * double click on that line to toggle the 'True' to 'False'
    * close window - top right X
    * Click on 'OK'

  • Does not warn before closing multiple tabs

On version 12 and even now 13, even with "warn me before closing multiple tabs" checked, it does not warn me. I have read about issues with saving data to disk and private browsing. All I want is to be warned before X-ing out of a window with multiple tabs open

Hi, my issue has nothing to do with saving tabs for the next time. If I have at least two tabs open, then click on the X to close the window, I do not want the window and tabs to close. I want a warning asking me, "do you want to close this window?"
That feature is not working anymore. It just closes the window without prompting a warning, asking if that is what I really want to do.

  • Do you have to finalize before you export to quicktime?

do you have to finalize before you export to quicktime?

No. They are basically doing the same thing.
Finalize is an export using QuickTIme, using certain presets (h.264) in all available sizes. And you don't get to specify where it is saved. It is saved in the Project Package, and is accessible to all the iLife Apps through the Media Browser.
With Export to QuickTIme you have flexibility to render in many video codecs, many audio codecs, and you can tweak the settings,

  • Time machine did not warn before deleting older files

I am running Snow Leopard and TimeMachine is off meaning I start backup manually whenever I see it fit. I have, however, in the TM settings checked the 'warn before removing old files' (might not be the exact English wording).
I think that when last time I gave the command 'Backup now' there was no confirmation needed but removing started immediately. Can it be so?

Just one more question: Is the meaning and behaviour of ""Warn when old backups are deleted" still the same at Lion?
    Your welcome.
I don't use TimeMachine or Lion, I consider the two inferior.
Cloning OS X is superior as I can boot and use the computer like before, so I use Carbon Copy Cloner for that.
I'm not too pleased with Lion, all the depressing gray, the UI changes etc, so I'm not using it and likely won't ever, just switch to Mountain Lion when it arrives this summer.
You know a OS X version is bad if Apple releases the next one a year ahead of scheduale.
If your thinking of taking the Lion leap of faith, better check here first. (and clone your 10.6 drive first)

  • Do I have to render first before I export?

Do I have to render first before I export? Or can I export without rendering? And will exporting take care of all the necessary rendering? I have done it both ways and it doesn't seem to make a difference, but I was wondering what is the preferred method.

    Kevan D. Holdsworth wrote:
I'm not really saying to render or not to render. I just remember discussions about this a couple years back...conventional wisdom being seeming to indicate that if you're exporting to Compressor, you benefitted from NOT rendering, because Compressor then wasn't encoding 'altering' a signal that was already rendered 'altered' (depending on effects/treatment of video in the timeline, rendering altered the native state of the media.)
Yeah Kevan, unrendered sequences sent directly to Compressor produce better quality -- for FCS 2009 too -- but only when exporting sequences with very compressed codecs (DV, HDV) out to MPEG-2 files (e.g., for DVD). Even then, sequences need to have serious compositing or color-correction work done in FCP (meaning layers and/or filters) for it to be worthwhile.
There is NO benefit to doing this (for any sequence codec type or composite level) when exporting out to h.264, to use another common export format as an example, at least in my experience.

  • Do you have to render before you export?

If you have a sequence w/ effects, filters, etc...do you have to render the whole thing out before you export...my guess is no, but just checking...
    Thanks

  • I would like to get a warning before accidently deleting a playlist

    Hi,
I am running the latest itunes and on leopard.
I love iTunes and use it for all my needs for music, videos, etc.
I make lots of playlists for different genre, parties, etc etc.
However sometimes when I think I am selecting a song I want to download it was actually highlighting the playlist the song was in instead. It is sometimes hard to see as it highlights the song too.
I press delete and the whole playlist is gone. I realized the old itunes use to prompt a message asking whether I was sure I want to delete. Is there an option I can choose to turn this function back on?
It is very frustrating since some of my playlists take me days and weeks to collate for parties. Once its gone I have no idea what I have chosen since some of the playlists I made months ago.
    Thanks!

The new version cannot reset warning before deleting songs.
Since I edit a lot of my songs constantly as I dj, I just accidently deleted a whole playlist which I took me a few months of collating. I have 600 GB of music, so its a BIG hassle and very upset by this.
If iTunes can have a setting like iCal where the calendar cannot be deleted by pressing delete, but have to right click delete + prompt.
Is there a way to fool proof this from happening again?

  • My sound keeps scrambling and blaring without warning before I either restart or stop music/videos for a while. It's without warning and happening on different programs. Is this happening to anyone else?

I thought about resetting the nvram/pram, but before I do that, I wanted to check here. It might not be the issue. My startup looks fine and the sound is great up until the discrete moment when it's suddenly scrambled and nonsense.

I did try a safe boot once before, which didn't stop the occurrences. I can try it again to make sure, and see if the problem stops happening.
Never installed extra audio or plug-ins, though.
It happened just once not long after I bought the mid-2013 MBA, which I think came with 10.8.4, but I assumed the noise was because I was moving the computer around on a surface that created static, since the noise stopped after I picked it up off the surface. However, that must have just been a coincidence, because it happens more frequently now without moving or touching anything.
Trying the safe-mode boot and restart, and testing it out for day or so to see if it happens again.

  • Warning before PlayBook turns itself off

It would be nice if the PlayBook would display a warning before it turns itself off due to the low batter charge. It's very annoying whn working on something it suddenly the PlayBook displays the "Powering off"-dialog and you didn't have a chance to save.
Looking at your battery status isn't a solution, because apps are full-screen and when working I don't want to be bothered with manually check that status...
