Unable install CS6 design standard on Mac OS 10.8.2
Hi
I having problem when installing CS6 design standard on Mac OS 10.8.2
i was using the online .dmg to install everytime when the installation seem like almost done (the progress bar shown 99%). suddenly it just fail.
I was using admin id and tried adobe clean tools to reinstall.

Exit Code 6 is a generic error that indicates that the installation was not successful.

A quick look at the error log, indicates a permission issues. Are you logged in with an Administrator account and have sufficient privileges to install software?

When I bought the software I was told that it is possible to install the software on a second computer. But I also read lately that I will only be allowed to work with one computer. Where to purchase Adobe CS6 Design Standard for mac? (in the UK).
I'm looking to purchase Adobe CS6 Design Standard for mac for the company I work for (I'm in the IT department).
All the other marketing staff run this version.
I need another copy but it seems it's all been replaced with Creative Cloud.
The finance director is not happy to be paying yearly for this, wants a one off payment for boxed/download version of CS6, so everyone's on the same version.
I've Googled but don't trust any of the online shops I'm finding (could be dodgy copies of the software, might not turn up, etc).
Adobe seem to still sell some CS6 products but only in other countries? (we're in the UK).

Trying to Serialize Trial version of Adobe Cs6 Design Standard on Mac

We have created a Trial package of Adobe Cs6 Design Standard using AAMEE 3.1 latest version. We followed the guidelines outlined in
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html to create a Serialization file. However when we try to Run the Command in terminal "AdobeSerialization --tool=VolumeSerialize --provfile=Absolute_Path_of_prov.xml" we get an error which states AdobeSerialization command not found. Am I missing something here while running the command? Serialization workflow creates a output folder containing AdobeSerialization executable file and a prov.xml file. Can't we run the executable directly without using any command on Mac? We are in the process of using this workflow in order to streamline the licensing in enterprise. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you are getting the "Adobeserialization command not found" error, it is not able to find the AdobeSerialization at the path you have mentioned. You should give the path of the folder where the AdobeSerialization is kept on your machine. Please retry it and let us know in case of any error. Return code of zero means success.
If you are using AAMEE 3.1 and if you use imaging, you need got go through the route of creating the trial package, deploying the trial image and then serializaing the client machines using serialization executable after deploying the trial packages on client machines. The machine-to-license binding is removed in AAMEE 3.1, so you just need to create a serialized packge using AAMEE 3.1, take its image and deploy it on client machines. The licensing will not break on client machines and everything will work fine. So there is no need to create a serialization executable.
If you have already created a master machine (the machine whoose image is created and deployed) with Adobe products installed in trial, create a serialization executable and run it on the master machine using the command line -
AdobeSerialization --tool=VolumeSerialize--stream --provfile=Absolute_Path_of_prov.xml
where
--tool=VolumeSerialize specifies that the tool needs to process the prov.xml file to serialize.
--provfile specifies the absolute file path to the prov.xml file,
By default, the tool looks for the prov.xml file in the same directory as the executable file and so
typically you do not need to specify this option. (Specify this option only if the prov.xml file is in some other location.) .
This will serialize your trial products and you can take its image and deploy it on client machines. Again, the licensing will not break on client machines and there is no need to run the serialization executable on all client machines seperately.
if you have already deployed Adobe products on client machines in trial mode, you need to serialize all the machines using the AdobeSerialization tool. Please run this tool with command line -
AdobeSerialization --tool=VolumeSerialize --provfile=Absolute_Path_of_prov.xml.
This will serialize the Adobe Products.
While taking the above routes, make sure that the package is created using AAMEE 3.1 only. The machine-to-license binding of CS6 is removed only in AAMEE 3.1 release version. This will not work for packages created using AAMEE 3.0 or AAMEE 3.1 beta version.

I bought the student version of CS6 Design standard 3 years ago and installed it on my MacBook Pro. I now just purchased an iMac and would like to download it onto this as well. I should be able to download it onto two computers from what I understand, but when I insert the disk for download, there is no install.app on the disk any longer. I only see set-up.exe (which is for windows). How can I get the programs downloaded onto my iMac?

Can I migrate my education copy of CS6 Design Standard from Mac to PC?
Can't to seem a thread on this with the answer. I have a box retail version of CS6 Design Standard (Student Edition). It's a Mac OS only install disc. If I deactivate the Mac version, can I install the license on PC via download? (If so, I believe I should be able to also install it on a second PC as well, correct?)
No. Serial numbers for Creative Suites are platform specific.
You'll have to perform a platform swap to get a Windows serial number

Two days ago I bought CS6 Design Standard. Now I wanted install it but in the beginning of the install process I had to type in the serial number. I did it. But after pressing the enter button I always gets follow message, even the serial number is right:
"Couldn't proof the serial number for Creative Suit 6 Design Standard. Contact support." (Translated from German)
1. There is NO support on the weekend. Why not?
2. What do I have to do, so that the serial number wil be accepted. It can't be, that I bought a programm for severall hundred EUR and then I can't install it.

How do I install cs6 design standard on my macbook pro retina?
I JUST bought my student edition CS6 Design Standard last week. Got everything verified, registered with adobe. Oh ****, I have no cd drive. OK, what do I do? I have read the FAQ. I have tried to install a trial. No Design Standard option with the handy Download Assistant. I tried the Help Chat. There were 88 people in front of me. Well I'm frustrated and am wasting time at this point. I'd really appreciate if someone would please tell me how I can get this installed and use the software I paid for.

Question: Instaling CS6 Design Standard
Problem with instalation of CS6 Design Standard, remain only for 5 minutes, I quit all the apps but the prompt "Pleas close these applications to continue". The help instruction insists that Safari is sill runing. I tried both, usual Force Quit and Utility > Activity Monitor > Quit Process. No efect what so ever.
When you check the Activity Monitor, look for the processes from All Users else restart the machine in Safe mode and then install the software.

Need help with installing CS6 Design Standard
Hi all,
Bought CS6 Design standard as a download from Currys the other day. I have a list of 4 files to download.
First one is a PDF to tell me how to activate my student software.
Second is a download .exe file for design standard
Third is another .exe for illistrator content installer
Fourth is another .exe for indesign and incopy content installer.
I've donwloaded all 4 files and once i've clicked on the two content installers i then click on the design standard .exe file and up comes this error message "the file archive part of adobe cs6 design standard is missing. you need all parts in the same folder in order to extract adobe cs6 design standard. please download all parts."
As google automatically places all the download items into the downloads folder, I'm assuming I've done the correct thing and placed them all in the same folder.
I have read that you need to extract a .72 folder or something. however i cannot see that on my downloads list.
Please could someone help, or is this a case of taking my laptop into currys and demanding someone to help me??you should contact your vendor to see where that 7z file is.
btw, it should not be manually extracted. the exe will extract the 7z file's contents.

My Acrobat X Pro 10.1.12 stopped working, which I believe is related to my upgrade from OS X 10.9 to 10.10 recently.
Taking any action in a PDF document will result in an endless time-out of Acrobat Pro. The only solution is to kill the process via the operating system. I deinstalled, cleaned and reinstalled the whole CS6 suite. No change. Acrobat Pro became more or less unusable. Any ideas?

Install CS6 Design & Web on Mac Mini
I have shared the DVD on my Ubuntu server, and tried to install CS6 on my Mac Mini, but get an "can not initiate installation" error, or someting like that. Adobe Support Advisor installed, could not identify any issues.
I try to download the tryal package from the Adobe Site now, can I use the Key from the DVD with that package or is there any other method I can try?
