Unable to access Illustrator CS5.1 subscription that I've had for 2  years.

I've been an AI CS5.1 subscriber for 2+ years. I am no longer able to access my files. The windows that pop up are: Activation is required.... and Please connect to the internet and try again. I've talked with my IT folks who reassure me that there is not a firewall issue. This has worked for me up until last week. Has anyone else seen this before? Chat won't help me and neither will phone support as I'm not a CC subscriber.
I'm on deadline, please help!

Might also be some WIndows update that ruined it. Try and search with a focus on that.

No call back so where should I go from here? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

I would like to get my iTunes and iPhoto contents and my documents of various sorts off of it and onto my new macbook pro. A friend of mine removed the hard drive and got the information like it was an external hard drive. Can I do this? I don't know if I can use my migration assistant application because the screen of my macbook won't let me see anything to even log into my username on the computer... Help?

    Firewire disk mode.
    Plug in a foirewire cable, most likely need a 6pin (400) to 9 pin(800).
    on the older machine, boot it up, and hold down the t key
    HDD should show up on the new computer.
    If you havent booted up the new machine, you could run migration assistant whith the above steps to pull the data off.

    I had to factory reset my iPhone 4 because of memory constraints.

    I wasn't "unlocking" my phone, I went into the settings and clicked the option to reset the iPhone to the way it was when it left the factory.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

    Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
    Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
    Did the iOS device connect before?
    Try the following to rule out a software problem:                
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
    .- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network      
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:

    If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    As the carrier that locked the iPhone ,O2 are the only organisation that can unlock the iPhone
    That said they are the most co-operative of all UK carriers with unlocking
    Have you actually asked what the issue is and filled in their request form
    and are you still located in UK ,if not that will be the issue

    I have searched high and low and there does not seem to be a way to authorize the iPod Classic.  What can I do to sync my purchases to my iPod?  I have tried reformatting/restoring it as suggested.  It continues to only allow me to sync non-icloud/itunes content.

    What exactly happens when you try to sync?
    Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
    Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
    If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
    Do the songs play in iTunes?          
    Does any media now sync to the iPod?
    Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

    When going through the Adobe updater, I get this error with no solution offered other than to contact customer support in the Adobe updater results box, "Adobe Illustrator CS5 15.0.1 Update

    Yup, same here too. Not sure how to fix this. OS 10.6.4 as well. Running it on a 2.33 Ghz Core 2 Duo MacBookPro.

    Hi baffled with this.
    When Saving for Web and Devices in Illustrator CS5 (15.0.2), the application now freezes and has to be force quit.
    HOWEVER if I delete the Users/~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings/en_GB folder all works well until I quit the application, then the freeze will happen again. I had this happen before so under the advice of Adobe I created a new user and all was fine for that user so I transferred everything across... a laborious task.
    So my question now is why now?... what has triggered this AGAIN?...
    Hope you can help... anyone.

    Mac OS X 10.6.6
    Mac Pro tower.
    Note:
    have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated 15.0.1 - 15.0.2
    have deleted all font caches
    have deleted everything... that could be related...
    HOWEVER have narrowed it down to the 'Adobe Illustrator Prefs' file in the Users/~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings/en_GB folder
    Please too note this is not the folder permissions issue, am aware of that and have thoroughly checked all permissions, ran disk utility and disk warrior.

    If you use cocktail I suggest you get rid of it it can cause serious problems if you select the wrong settings, instead download ONYXwhich is free and will not harm your system or corrupt anything by deleting something you actually need.
    I hit the wrong setting using cocktail and it locked me out of all of the hard drives installed or connected to my Mac it is very dangerous. And I cannot imagine a reason for a setting that would protect your hard drives from yourself to the point of not recognizing your own password.
    I know it cost money and has advanced settings but having the ability to kill your system is crazy.
    Also to repair your permissions use the disk utility or ONYX as the permissions can become changed when installing software or if cocktail changes it locking you out of folders etc.

    No, it will not affect anything but Safari. I do this regularly anyway (in my case with Firefox because I prefer it over Safari). The cache remembers websites you've visited and, when internet connections were slow, then that was handy because the browser would reload the page from memory instead of reloading it fresh. With faster internet connections today, it is no longer of the same importance - it does speed up things a bit initially, but I haven't noticed any difference. Cookies are set by every site you visit - the only ones you might want to keep are cookies from your bank, financial institution, etc so they remember your machine when you log in. Other than that, they are a marketing tool and completely superfluous. And history is again something the computer remembers that you've visited a site before.

    I have a card which is 10 years old and I have 1 late (30-60 days) payment in 2014. I added my younger brother as an authorized user, hoping Avg account age would bump up, since he is just starting out. It had the desired affect, but I realize that the missed payment has really pulled down his "on time payment" percentage. It hasn't been affecting me because I have many cards. I'm at 99.7%. But his report shows 85%, due to that 1 late payment . --->Now if I remove him as an authorized user from my card. will the missed payment stay on his file for 7 years? Even though he is not the primary holder?

    I had a similar issue years ago.  After I was removed as an authorized user, I had to open a dispute with the credit bureaus to have the account removed from my reports; it was not automatic.  Of course things change, so YMMV.

    Me too. If you are signed in, do not sign out. You can still do some things. If you sign out, you will be unable to sign back in until Apple fixes this.
