Unable to access inbox--stuck on message view

My email is stuck on message view or something. When I click on the icon, it pulls up the same message without any icons/buttons to back out to get to inbox. I can delete the message to get to the next message but am unable to pull the inbox up.
Any suggestions? Did I accidentally change the view setting?
Thanks!

Did you restore your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup?
Email account settings are included with your iPhone's backup. If there is a problem with your iPhone's backup or with the email account settings included with your iPhone's backup, restoring from your iPhone's backup will also restore the problem.
If no change after an iPhone reset (1.), deleting and recreating the account, and restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, the next step is restoring your iPhone as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup followed by recreating the account.

    I have noticed that sometimes my Nokia 5530 gives me this message, usually after I download pics to my computer, but not always. Sometimes, it just happens randomly.
    "Unable to access selected memory. Messages will be stored to phone memory."
    Is there any way to prevent this?
    I have to switch the default location back to E memory, and then everything works again. It's just annoying.

    Hi, unfortunately, this is a 'trait' of many Nokia phones after being connected via usb, admittedly it is a little irritating, but it doesn't happen every time, and to be honest I've just got into the habit of quickley checking messages on my phone whenever I disconnect it. I have a shortcut on my homescreen , so it only takes a couple of seconds, and I don;t really consider it a problem, and for the sake of a couple of seconds I'd rather keep my phone memory as clean as possible. Good Luck PS the search section at the top of the page may solve many of your problems without posting a thread, as most things, however 'silly' you may think they are will have been asked and answered before. I'd been using this forum for acouple of months before I actually posted a question or response, and the more threads posted the harder it is for people with much more knowledge than me to fond them and help;

  • Unable to access Component Controller attributes from Views.

    Hi,
      I am unable to access the attributes in component controller from methods in View even by using WD_COMP_CONTROLLER.
    Say, I want to access the attribute G_FLAG in component controller from a method in the View Controller by the following code :
      WD_COMP_CONTROLLER->G_FLAG = 2.
    Then an error message is showing up saying -  Field G_FLAG is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified tables nor defined by a DATA statement.
    What should I do? Plz suggest..

    Hi,
    Please check the Public check box of the attribute in the component controller.
    Hopefully it will solve your problem.

  • How to access MailItems within the Message View?

    I'm working on an Outlook 2013 plugin that needs to access the emails currently displayed in the Message View.
    I already searched around a lot but I could only find ways to list emails by folder (and also the current folder). E.g.
    Outlook.MAPIFolder curFolder = this.Application.ActiveExplorer().CurrentFolder;
    Outlook.Items mailItems = curFolder.Items;
    MailItem item = mailItems.GetFirst();
    This would work fine if the user didn't apply any search filters; but if a filter is applied via the instant search bar this code would produce the same list of MailItems as if the filter wasn't applied.
    I thought of two ways of potentially solving this but couldn't find any resources online that worked for either. 1) Preferably, get direct read access to the MailItem list currently rendered within the Message View. 2) Alternatively, read the value in the instant
    search text-box and apply that to the currently selected folder using the Items.Find()
    command.
    From what I've read I don't think either of these elements have supported direct access in the Outlook Object Model; but there must be some way to solve this problem. I've also tried using
    this.Application.ActiveExplorer().Filter;
    but this appears to output a DASL query in the format ("http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/id/{00062008-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}/85700003" = 0) so I'm unsure if this is could be reformatted or be used as a filter.
    Any guidance or explanations would be greatly appreciated; thanks in advance.

    Hello Davon,
    The Filter property is useless in that case. I spent some time researching that and found the following way:
    The
    GetTable method of the TableView class returns a Table object
    that represents all of the Microsoft Outlook items that are contained in a TableView object.
    Here is what MSDN states:
    The GetTable method of the TableView object
    returns a table of items from one or more folders in the same store or spanning over multiple stores, in an aggregated view. For example, an aggregated view obtained by a search across all mail items by using Instant Search. This behavior differs from the GetTable method
    of the Folder object,
    which obtains a table object that contains items from the same folder.
    private void DemoViewGetTable()
    // Obtain the Inbox folder.
    Outlook.Folder inbox =
    Application.Session.GetDefaultFolder(
    Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderInbox)
    as Outlook.Folder;
    // Set ActiveExplorer.CurrentFolder to Inbox.
    // Inbox must be the current folder
    // for TableView.GetTable to work correctly.
    Application.ActiveExplorer().CurrentFolder = inbox;
    // Ensure that the current view is a table view.
    if (inbox.CurrentView.ViewType ==
    Outlook.OlViewType.olTableView)
    Outlook.TableView view =
    inbox.CurrentView as Outlook.TableView;
    // No arguments are needed for View.GetTable.
    Outlook.Table table = view.GetTable();
    Debug.WriteLine("View Count="
    + table.GetRowCount().ToString());
    while (!table.EndOfTable)
    // First row in Table.
    Outlook.Row nextRow = table.GetNextRow();
    Debug.WriteLine(nextRow["Subject"]
    + " Modified: "
    + nextRow["LastModificationTime"]);

  • Unable to access information spaces and Exploration View Sets

    I have run into a problem.   we had a Business intelligence server setup as a proof of concept for analyzing data.  This was done by a 3rd party company and we no longer can use them as a resource.
    Originally we were unable to view the information spaces and exploration views, unless the user is part of the administrators group.   I have been attempting to have a view only group created that would allow access.
    now i am getting the following error when trying to open an explorer view set (The view sets show in a list).
    Failed to open the exploration view set
    Can't load the information space. (PS 50300)
    Failed to retrieve the exploration space 'cb06755b-7fab-4a21-b1ba-a41389bd5f59'.
    This happens with all accounts.   Administrators group, built in administrator account and the everybody group.
    We are using AD Authentication only on this server.
    does anyone know what might have happened to remove access to the information spaces?

    I can't seem to find where this workspace lives.
    I am very new to Business Intelligence  (3 Months)
    I went to manage spaces in Explorer but there isn't anything there that points to the reports that i need to index.
    here is what i am trying to have show.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • Email address missing from account info in Office 365 exchange console, unable to access inbox

    Hi
    we have successfully migrated our on premise Exchange environment to Office 365. We came from a 3 domain environment and we are having some issues accessing accounts. I have tried to add the smtp:[email protected] address using ADSI Edit but after
    DirecSync, I'm not able to locate this address on the account. is there a different way to add email address to Office 365 accounts?

    I would recommend asking them in Office 365  forum: http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/default.aspx

    How do I access compacted mail on a Mac version 10.5.8 stuck with Thunderbird version 16.0.2 ? I am unable to access needed documentation for Taxes, etc

    Where in the world did you read Deleting All My Mail? I have reread my answer several times and cannot seem to find that in there.
    When you mark a message for deletion it does just that. It marks it for deletion and hides the message. It is not truly deleted until you compact.
    My point is that unless you deleted your important mail they should still be there somewhere.
    Your question was about compacting and thinking it put your messages in a nice little box for safe keeping and now you want to open it.
    I have to agree that Thunderbird did a horrible job of naming this process because most are like you and do not understand what it actually does. I included the link to the explanation of what compacting means in the Thunderbird world.
    Your messages may still be available to your but finding them has nothing to do with compacting.
    Thunderbird does not archive anything unless you use that process by selecting the message and pressing a. You have the option to setup where you want that archive to go and what folders to make.
    The All Mail folder is a goofy gmail arrangement. If you have problems with that then you need to address that with Google.
    If you go into your gmail account on the gmail site do you see the messages you are hunting in the All Mail folder there?

  • Mail opens - no message viewer - no access to subfolders

    I have spent some hours searching the forum for a fix to no avail. Mail was working fine when I shut down last night. My daughter started it up this morning and Safari crashed a couple of times and apparently a window came up that told her to restart (she has a disability so I'm not entirely sure of the accuracy of this). When I clicked on Mail from the Dock it started up but no message viewer appeared. I managed to get up a viewer of sorts by going to 'Message viewer' in the Windows menu. When that came up it didn't show any emails and no folders on the left. By going to the Mailbox menu I could get up the content of the Inbox by choosing it from the 'Go to' submenu. I could also access 'Drafts', 'Sent', 'Trash' and 'Outbox'. When I went to the 'Messages' menu and passed by 'Move to' the folders appeared on the left hand side but if I clicked on any of them no messages were displayed - the inbox was still showing - but they were not greyed out. I could not send a new email, but I could reply to an email although the message did not look like it normally would as it didn't have the detail about the previous sender and it put in 'REPLY_ATTRIBUTION' above the email text. The only way it would send was for me to take the accounts offline and then take them online again.
    I have repaired permissions, started up from my Tiger install disc and used Disc Utility to repair the start up disc - there was a minor repair to Volume Bit Map. I backed up the mail and then deleted the envelope index and the 'Mac-" folders and left the 4 other POP accounts. I then started up Mail from the applications folder and it asked if I wanted to import the mailboxes which I did. That appeared to all go well but when I said 'Done' there was still no message viewer.
    The only way I can access mail from my subfolders is to do a search, but this is not how I want to work - please someone tell me what I need to do!
    Thanking you in advance,
    Helen

    This is starting to look like you’ll have to do a full Archive and Install. It’s strange that the problem persists after doing all the above if it’s system wide, though, and no, I don’t think reinstalling any other security updates would have made a difference.
    BTW, I’ve just realized that the last comment at the bottom of my first post didn’t make sense. I hope you realized it or at least that I didn’t confuse you too much. I copied & pasted what I posted in another topic without realizing that the comment at the bottom was specific to that problem.

    Look for additional information that may be available in the form of error messages written to the Console:
    1. Open /Applications/Utilities/Console.
    2. From the File menu, choose either Open Console Log, or Open System Log, or both, so that Console displays the contents of both system.log and console.log.
    3. Reproduce the problem and look at the bottom of the Console windows for messages that might be written there as a result.

    Do you have any Mail plug-ins? In the Finder, go to each of the following folders (if they exist). What do you see there?
    /Library/InputManagers/
    /Library/Mail/Bundles/
    ~/Library/InputManagers/
    ~/Library/Mail/Bundles/
    To make accurately reporting this information easier, you may open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal, type the following command (you can just copy it here and paste it in Terminal), and press <Return>. You may then copy the output of that command from Terminal and paste it in your reply to this post:
    ls -1 /Library/InputManagers /Library/Mail/Bundles ~/Library/InputManagers ~/Library/Mail/Bundles
    Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the folder path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the folder path there.

  • Stuck in Message window. Can't access bottom of window to cancel -

    We're stuck in a Message window in Mail because we cannot access the options at the bottom of the Message window. The only buttons accessible are the yellow button and green button at the top - the red and oval button in upper right are grayed out. This is a result of trying to send too many emails at once. We have to force quit mail because of this hanging Message window. This is happening in the new gmail account. Any suggestions welcome - Thanks!

    It sounds like you're not in a message window, but the Activity Viewer instead. If so, you should be able to close that window by using Command-0 (command-zero). How many messages are/were you trying to send at once? Are you using the Message Viewer window with an upper- and lower pane to actually read the messages, or do you double-click to open each message in it's own separate window? Try starting Mail while holding down the Shift key and see what happens, and if you're still trying to send messages, do only 2-3 at once.
    If you need to Force Quit, a crash log is still generated, which may point to the cause of the problem.
