Unable to access purchased items.

I have several purchases made in the iTunes store in 2008 using an account that is no longer vaild - I have forgotten the password and the e mail address for that account no longer exists.. My current computer will not authorize me to play the tunes concerned. How do I access my purchases?.

I would be happy to help you solve this issue.
From what I understand, you are getting an error message that your computer is not authorized to play songs.
You need to log into your current account using your Apple ID in the iTunes Store and then use the following steps:
Go to iTunes store > Click Store in the top left hand side of the screen (If it is not there press ALT on keyboard) > Click Authorize Computer > When prompted, enter your password.
I expect this to solve your issue but if not, please reply here and I will answer as soon as possible.

Unable to access Login Items for Accounts in System Preferences

I've created an image for computers at my school. When I go into System Preferences>Accounts, and authenticate, I am unable to access the Login Items tab. The tab isn't grayed out or anything. It's just that when I click on it, nothing happens. It stays on the Password tab. The only way I can get out of it is to quit System Preferences. Any ideas?

If you are connecting to a OS X Server, make sure that you're not managing Login Items (Click on Preferences in WorkGroup Manager, then Login, then the Items tab). I had the same problem and setting that preference to Never solved it for me.

TS1424 I am unable to download purchased items

I have purchased a number of items on iTunes am am unable to download these, never had a previous problem. They show up as available for download however when I click on 'Check For Available Downloads" I recieve a message 'The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. This has now been the case for over 24 hours. I have just now tried downloading a free song to test and no problem. Any suggestions?

I used migration assistant to transfer info from my macbook pro to my new macbook air. most transferred but zero of my audiobooks transferred, and i have purchased dozens. This makes no sense to me since I should be able to access using my apple id regardless of the computer.

Try resetting the devices.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that didn't help, test on one of the devices.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
If helped on one device, do the same for the other.

Unable to download purchase items

I have downloads available form ITunes but it will not allow me to download saying I have no storage. however, in checking my settings I have ample space? I am trying to download episodes of a TV show I have purchased to watch on Apple TV.

My issue is similiar to yours. My problem is I can download full music albums. However, I have never been able to download a digital booklet. I am actually pretty angry about it because those digital booklets are the main reason I have purchased some of my albums.

You can copy them wherever you want.
They will not magically appear anywhere. You get ONE download. Once you download it is your responsibility to back up the music or to move it wherever you would like.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

But I've got so many apps, and a lot of them have important data that I don't want to risk losing by deleting them all. Surely that can't be the only way to solve this problem. Help, Apple!
Both my devices - iPhone 4S with iOS5.1.1 and iPad Mini with iOS6.1.3 - have suddenly become unable to sync purchased items because "this computer is no longer authorized". But when I authorize my computer, I'm told it was already authorized.

Cannot access purchased music in iTunes

I just purchased an iPhone 5, 32 GB. I restored from a previous iCloud backup which seemed to go well. I noticed that some of my songs would not play. The album art displayed, but the songs would not play and skip to another. I read online that the best solution to this problem is to delete those songs from your device, and re-download them by accessing "Purchased" items through the iTunes app. I did this for several of the non-working songs and it worked great.
I noticed several songs by one band in particular (Depeche Mode) were not playing, so I deleted them all off my device. I then went to "Purchased" items in iTunes to re-download them, but now I see a loading graphic that freezes, and the albums/singles are not displayed. All of the other artists seem to work just fine, but for some reason, none of my previously purchased Depeche Mode songs are displayed.
I have 124 items from that group, and really want them on my new phone. Anyone else have this issue?
I am wondering if a solution to my problem would be to connect my phone to my computer and sync, but I would prefer to not do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You enable iTunes Match on your iPad by making sure your are signed into the Apple ID you used to subscribe in iTunes Match in Settings>iTunes & App Stores, then turning iTunes Match and Show All Music to On.
Also, iTunes Match doesn't use your iCloud storage plan so you don't need to purchase a storage upgrade to use it.

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it will need to be valid. If you don't have a card to replace it with then have you tried removing it from your account ? On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Hi, I recently left my computer on my car and drove into heavy traffic. After several hundred cars ran it over, I noted than I was unable to access my previously purchased copy of Photoshop Elements 10. How can I download a replacement copy?

It's true. I was loaded down like a mule, approaching my car, needing a free hand, and thinking "I'll just set this on the roof for a moment..."
I drove about 1/2 mile and turned left into rush-hour traffic. No sound, no horns, no frantic hand gestures from fellow drivers, and no sinking feeling whatsoever for several minutes. And then like that sudden stop at the end of long fall, it hit me. I quickly turned around as though haste may matter - and it did. Had five more minutes passed, there'd have been nothing larger than a grain-of-sand-sized evidence that my computer had once existed. For the next 30 minutes, I dodged many hundreds of cars in my firm commitment to gather every last one of the 2,653 pieces that I would need for a successful reassembling.
At some point during my repair attempt, I noted that I was unable to access my previously purchased copies of Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10.
And since Dell.com's record of this purchase was apparently destroyed that day as well, I'm at a loss. Unless... "Ok, maybe I actually registered this purchase at Adobe.com... But that would be weird as I never do such things in the name of maintaining privacy at every chance I encounter... But, I'll try... yep, 'Forgot your password,' Click... of, 'Follow this link,' Click... Minor rush that it might work... Hope fading fast... Gone!"
When the only proof of purchase I can present is my promise that I did once purchase, is it possible for me to download these two programs without having to re-purchase?
I lost a lot of things that day... money, work, memories, la la la. Apparently I've now lost my dignity as well as I plead with some faceless corporation for a freebie.
