Unable to access SRP521W Web Management
Just brought another set of SRP521W, after changed the WAN setting to PPPOE, we unable to access the web management. The power/sys light will keep blink when trying to access the web management. We able to ping it. We tried the reset button but it did not work as well. Anyone has a solution? Is that a way to upgrade the firmware without using the web management?

Unable to access Oracle Enterprise Manager in Oracle 10g AS Machine
Hi All,
We are working on oracle forms 10g in 3 tier architecture. I have installed oracle 10g Infrastructure (OraHome_1) followed by oracle 10g Application server (middle-tier,OraHome_2). I have copied all the forms to OraHome_2\forms folder and compiled them successfully.
When i tried to access enterprise manager (Infrastructure)thru http://myappserver:18100, i was unable to do so. It displayed "page cannot be displayed".
Also
When i tried to access enterprise manager (middle-tier)thru http://172.16.1.1:18101, i was unable to do so. It displayed "page cannot be displayed".
I checked for port status, thru “netstat –na” command, It was displaying
172.16.1.1 18100 TIME_WAIT
172.16.1.1 18101 TIME_WAIT
172.16.1.1 7777 TIME_WAIT
Why is that i am unable to access the Enterprise Manager?Hi All,
I was able to resolve the issue. Thr was a proxy server enabled in the IE in AS machine. Once i checked the option for bypassing it and turned off the windows firewall(OS was win 2003 server). I was able to view the home page at http://myappserver, then was able to access EM also. -
Block IPs from accessing WLC web management
Hi all,
I have tried using access control list to block certain IPs from accessing WLC web management. I apply the ACL to interface management, but it seems like no effect at all.
How can I block or permit some IPs so only certain IPs can access WLC web management ?
Thanks in advance.I need deal with this matter also... So here's what I found:
- you must use CPU acls - interface acls won't do what you want;
- it appears that once you use an acl, you must explicitly define each type of traffic you want to allow, since an implicit deny all action occurs.
I'm working on trying to restrict admin access to controllers in order address policy compliance matters. I'm disappointed at the lack of better documentation and practical examples on acls...
If anyone can shed some light on this topic I think two of us would appreciate it... -
Unable to access Oracle VM Manager from browser
Hi,
I am unable to access the Oracle VM Manager from my browser at any of the url's e.g. /em; /OVS; /apex
I can connect to my server via putty, so I know the IP address that I am using is correct.
In the /var/ovm-manager/oc4j.log file I get the following message:
ERROR J2EE HTTP-00004 Internal error raised tyring to instantiate web-application: webapp defined in web site OC4J 10g (10.1.3) Default Web Site. Application: datatags does not exist. Error creating Web application: webapp
The oc4j service is running and the ovs-agent service is running but I cannot connect.
I am new to Oracle VM and Linux for that matter so it is entirely possible that something is not configured correctly somewhere
I'll appreciate it if anyone can assist
ThanksTry this command from the console or SSH to the server:
service iptables stop
If you can then access the URLs you will need to modify iptables to allow port 8888
I think this is the command:
iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 8888 -j ACCEPT
then:
service iptables start
Then try to connect again. -
1041 Access Point -- Web Management Login Timeout
I've looked thru the various screens but I have not found anywhere to change the Timeout value on the login to Web Management of my 1041 Access Point. Is that definable?
It seems like if you pause for any amount of time, you have to login again before you can do anything. The time window is just annoyingly small and I want to bump it up to something else.
Thanks
MarkYou need to do it thru command line... I havent test it.. but AP accepts the command...
Use THIS COMMAND...
ip http timeout-policy idle seconds life seconds requests value
Example:
Router(config)# ip http timeout-policy idle 30 life 120 requests 100
(Optional) Sets the characteristics that determine how long a connection to the HTTP server should remain open. The characteristics are:
•idle—The maximum number of seconds the connection will be kept open if no data is received or response data cannot be sent out on the connection. Note that a new value may not take effect on any already existing connections. If the server is too busy or the limit on the life time or the number of requests is reached, the connection may be closed sooner. The default value is 180 seconds (3 minutes).
•life—The maximum number of seconds the connection will be kept open, from the time the connection is established. Note that the new value may not take effect on any already existing connections. If the server is too busy or the limit on the idle time or the number of requests is reached, it may close the connection sooner. Also, since the server will not close the connection while actively processing a request, the connection may remain open longer than the specified life time if processing is occurring when the life maximum is reached. In this case, the connection will be closed when processing finishes. The default value is 180 seconds (3 minutes). The maximum value is 86400 seconds (24 hours).
•requests—The maximum limit on the number of requests processed on a persistent connection before it is closed. Note that the new value may not take effect on already existing connections. If the server is too busy or the limit on the idle time or the life time is reached, the connection may be closed before the maximum number of requests are processed. The default value is 1. The maximum value is 86400. -
I use keyboard shortcuts whenever possible but since updating to Firefox 4 I can no longer access a web page simply by pressing "Enter" after typing the url in the address bar. Can I get back to this useful shortcut somehow and avoid having to fiddle with a mouse?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
* https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Unable to access certain web servers after creating time capsule network
Since creating a home network with Time Capsule, there are certain web sites or servers that I am unable to connect to. The browser attempts to connect, but always gets timed out.
One site, for example is a link from my fantasy football homepage: football30.myfantasyleague.com
I have no trouble with any other site, and am able to get to the address above if I connect my Mac directly with the Cable Modem, thus bypassing the time capsule network. Also, if I use my old wireless router, I am able to access the address without problem. I am also able to ping the address on my time capsule network,
I've tried accessing this site on multiple computers (both mac and pc) through my home network and using multiple browsers (Firefox, Safari, and IE). So the problem must lie with some time capsule setting (some kind of default firewall). However, I cannot find any setting on Time Capsule or Airport utilities where I could make any adjustments or view any prohibited site access.
Does anybody know why this particular site is constantly blocked when I use the Time Capsule as my router?hamish,
Welcome to the Apple Discussion!
I'm wondering if either or both Airport Utility & Network Prefs have proper DNS server settings. Try this
Launch Airport Utility.
Select TC on left.
Click "Manual Setup".
Select "Internet" from the toolbar above.
What's listed for "DNS Server(s):"?
Try putting in these servers from OpenDNS [http://www.opendns.com>
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Click "Update".
Your TC will restart with the new settings.
Next, launch System Prefs --> Network Prefs.
Select the service you usually connect with on the left (Airport or Ethernet).
Then click, "Advance..."
Click the "DNS" tab.
What's listed for "DNS Server(s):"?
Usually "10.0.1.1" will be listed first in gray. This refers back to the settings in the Airport Utility.
Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to add the DNS servers noted above here as well.
Click "OK" then click "Apply".
Now see if you can access those websites again.
Cheers!

Unable to access personal web hosting on Mac OS 10.4.11
I can't get personal web sharing to work. If I set personal web sharing on in the control panel, it reports an IP address of 10.1.1.4, which clearly isn't my inTERnet address. This is also what I see in the Network control panel. If I head to whatismyip.com or the like a get a sensible IP address. However if I try access using this IP address, it doesn't work either. Pinging doesn't work. So what the heck is going on? This used to be trivial, just click personal web sharing on, note the IP address and away you go. I haven't changed ISPs either.
Is 10.4.11 broken for networking in some way?
Is there some other setting I need to switch on?
This isn't really relevant, but for those you like more details: I am trying to move a file from my machine to another my logging on to the remote machine (Linux) and using lftp http://
/~username/ to get around ftp being off on the remote machine without putting ftp on the Mac. I need this right now really, so naturally it annoys me that what was once trivial is now behaving weirdly.re "Apple should have the control panel report the proper IP address"
On clicking Personal web sharing, you get information to the effect:
View this computer’s website at http://10.1.1.4/ or your personal website at http://10.1.1.4/~user/
This is wrong to a user. Others could not enter this URL and get access to the website using this information. This is what I meant by "wrong"--its NOT the IP address that the user should use to view/use the web site. The software already knows its using DHCP, etc., so it should know to present the modem's IP and from memory in the past it did. As a wrote earlier, I used to be able to just copy the IP address given.
What Apple probably need are two statements:
To view this computer’s website from the local network use ...
To view this computer’s website from the internet use ...
Even, then I'd question the use of 10.1.1.4. -
Unable to access a Web service in Web logic
Hi,
We have deployed a web service in a Web logic 9.2 MP3. We have 1 admin server and 2 managed servers. The web service is deployed under 1 of the managed server. There are no errors thrown in the log files during starting of managed and admin server.
The other systems are not able to connect to the web service.
Also there is no entry or any error message in all the log files.
Can anyone please guide us to overcome this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ninad KI would advise you to open a support case.
Some basic things, do you know if the web service is bound to the URL that you expect on server 1? Try connecting to your web service uri with ?WSDL at the end to see if the WSDL is returned.
You can also try using tools like TCPMon to see what's getting passed over the wire. -
When I click on the firefox icon it was not opening up or it would open then say unable to make connection. I had no problem using Internet explorer. So I thought I should download Mozilla firefox again and I did. It seemed to be functioning but then reverted back to nonresponsive. I am able to contact you using internet explorer. What can i do?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Unable to access sub account management
When attampting to manage sub accounts that were prevoiusly set up, I see no listing for the accounts.
I know the accounts are set up and working, how do I access them to make changes?
ScottSo, when you into my verizon and under manage sub-accounts, you are not seeing any of your sub-accounts. That is probably because your sub-accounts may have been compromised and possibly got deleted. I know some email accounts have been compromised. Verizon is sending out emails about it.

Unable to Access CSACS 5.3 Web Interface...
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to note an issue I ran into today with our MS Windows 7 workstations and 2008 servers being unable to access the web management interface on our instance of ACS 5.3 and its solution, which is outlined below:
### The Problem ###
When I tried accessing the web management interface on our ACS 5.3 appliance, the browser was unable to connect. NMS applications showed that the device was up and I was able access it via SSH. I then tried connecting to 443 via telnet on my workstation and was successful in establishing a connection. I proceeded to issue the "show application status acs" command showed all associated processes running. I had a co-worker attempt to access it and he ran into the same issue. I then proceeded to restart the ACS application by stopping and starting the associated processes. After the processes were back up, attempts to connect to the web management interface still failed. I then proceeded to reboot the appliance. Again, after the applicance and processes were back up, attempts to connect continued to fail. As a last ditch effort I used a portable version of Firefox to connect and was then successfully able to connect.
### The Source ###
After additional troubleshooting, it was discovered that the MS Internet Explorer patch associated with MS Security Advisory 2661254 just so happened to be the culprit. This restricts the use of certificates with RSA keys less than 1024 bits in length. The default management certificate just so happens to be 512 bits in length.
### The Fix ###
Using FireFox, I navigated to System Administration > Configuration > Local Server Certificates > Local Certificates. I then proceeded to add a certificate in the following steps:
Select Generate Self Signed Certificate & click next
Populate the Certifcate Subject field with the appropriate DN information of the ACS server.
Change the key length to 1024 or above.
Check "Management Interface: Used to authenticate the web server (GUI).
Check "Replace Certificate".
Click Finish.
The ACS server should then generate the new certifcate, replace the existing management certificate, and restart the ACS processes. After everything is back up, you shouldn't have any issues in accessing the web interface.
Cheers,
