Unable to access Transaction iView

Friends,
Need your help on the following issue:
Assume that we have a user id called FIAP in BW and R/3 systems. We have configured BW and R/3 systems in portal and tested SSO functionality. For BW system we could access all iviews. We have also created an Transaction iview to access the R/3(system name is DEV) transactions and assigned into the role in portal(role name is ZFIAP).
Following roles are assigned to the user id FIAP.
==>ZFIAP
==>bi
When we try to access the R/3 transaction iview by connecting FIAP user id we are getting the following error message:
Portal run time error:
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
Unable to lookup System 'DEV'. Please check the system object and the alias..
But we could able to access all iviews from BW system.
pls help..

Hi,
Can you navigate to, System Administration->Support->SAP Application->SAP Transaction
and test for one sample transaction and confirm your system is working or not?. Here just check,
System alias created for your system is listed there in the dropdown for systems. Once again confirm, you have given the exact system alias name while creating your transactional ivew. (like, there is not space after your System alias name.).

  • Accessing Transaction iview as a part of BPM workflow

    Hi,
We have a requirement where a 6 level BPM process is being created. As a part of this process, we need to access transaction iview. On the screen where transaction iview should appear, we also need to show a web dynpro java "submit" button. On click of this button, the workflow should move to next level. Since, through BPM we cannot directly access the PCD objects, we have created a transaction iview, and a web dynpro application carrying the submit button. Both of them have been nested into a page. We have created another base DC which calls this portal page in the init method. The base DC is integrated in the workflow. When we try to open it through the UWL task, we are facing two issues:
    1. a blank window opens first, and then the page window opens. This is because the property is set to show_external while calling the page. But, if we change the property to in_place and click on the task in the UWL, the portal page does not open. A blank scfreen is displayed with standard UWL buttons for "Close" etc.
    2. If we open the page with the property set to show_external itself, then on click of submit button, though we are firing the complete event (which is created in the base DC, and called in the second DC through a method), it does not work.
Can anyone please help in this regard?
    Thanks & regards,
    Anupreet

    Hi Anupreet,
    Item 2:
Is the window the contains the button opened inside the portal iview or in the application that calls the portal ui?
In the first case the problem is that the event you are firing can not be caught by the BPM framework because the application is not run inside the context of the bpem application, so the event is not caught by BPM and nothing happens. You may wat to consider using portal eventing in conjuction with your application and try and catch the event in the application started by the BPM process and then firing the event again but inside the bpm application context.

  • Portal Transaction iView not opening in browser but its open in R/3 screen

    Hi
    I have 2 senario.
    First Scenario:
I login only into the portal  and  not  login into R/3.  I could access the portal transaction iview in the new broser portal window.  And this is the expected behaviour.
    second senario
I login into Portal as well as R/3 through SAP logon Pad (SAP GUI).
Now if I access  Transaction Iview through portal , this transaction Iview is opened in R/3 side window not in portal browser window .And also same time we can see only new blank portal window iopen n portal side.
My question is that whichever transaction iView we access through portal we want  to see that transaction iView in portal browser window like in first senario  not in R/3 window.
Please help me to resolve this problem

  • Transactional Iview

    Hi All,
I have a problem accessing Transactional ivews  through different LAN.
my R/3 server is in x.x.x.x LAN and when i try to access Transactional iviews through y.y.y.y LAN , i am getting page cannot be dispalyed error but all my webdynpro ivews are working correctly in 2 LAN's
    Plz help me.
    Regards,
    Sunitha Hari

    Hi Sunitha,
WD Java iview work on standard http port whereas applications coming via transaction iviews run using ITS server and it's corresponding port. Considering your scenario since WD is working fine you it seems that the port on which your ITS is working in blocked in at least one of your networks x.x.x.x or y.y.y.y.
Please check with your network admin team and get the ITS ports opened on both the network. It should resolve your issue.
    Best Regards,

  • External Facing Portal with access to ITS via Transaction Iview

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to make the portal available externally for third party vendors to access ECC transactions.  We have configured a URL with a reverse proxy to the portal server.  Portal loads fine from outside the network, but when launching a transaction I-view, a page cannot be displayed error comes up in IE-8 and Chrome says it cannot access the ECC server.
I've searched the forums and come up with a couple of tips, but that brings on a couple more questions.
It seems you can direct traffic from external URL to portal server:port, but when launching an transaction I-view, it needs to be redirected again to the ECC server:port/sap/bc/gui* (or something like that for SICF GUI service).  Question here is, once this redirect happens, technically the ECC box is now available externally vs. only the portal?  Is this recommended?
Other option I've found is to try and use IAC I-views instead.  Is this really much different than a transaction i-view in how portal handles the opening Iframe?  Does it allow backend connectios without rerouting internet traffic to the backend server?
Are they any other options to make this type of setup work for external facing portals using transaction iviews to access ITS?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi
Did you able to resolve the issue. We have installed Web Dispatcher through we are able to call the EP but when calling the transaction iViews page not found error pops up, since from EP server request to ECC goes via the URL http://<ecchost.domain>.:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=100.
    Thanks

  • Transaction iview Unable to Connect to Backend

Transaction iview Unable to Connect to Backend
    Hi guys,
I am new to SAP and i am having several issues.
Right now i am stuck here, in the NetWeaver Portal:
I have created a Transaction iview and a System with Alias "SAP_R3".
When i preview the iview i am getting the following error:-
No user mapping defined for system SAP_R3
    Followed by:-
    404   Not Found
    SAP J2EE Engine/7.00
The requested resource does not exist.
      Details:
Go to main page of this application!
An urgent response will be highly appreciated
    Thanks much,
    B

    Hello B,
    I see two issues here.
    1. User Mapping
    2. The requested resource does not exist.
    For 1,
First go to System Admin ->System Config search for SAP_R3 system and open it and as told before check the user management property.
also chck taht you should get the System SAP_R3 in personalize user mapping option.
    2. The requested resource error can come when the corresponding iview been attached to the role has been moved or deleted.
Request you to clear cache first by system admin -> system config->navigation
    then follow this blog:
Create SAP Transaction iView using SAPGUI for Windows
    Hope this helps!
If not, please update the message accordingly.

  • Unable to print the reports from Transaction iViews

    Hi Experts,
We have configured SAP Transctions iViews in portal. These transactions are basically of reports, when we want to print the report from EP. When clicking on the Print from the Transaction iView we are getting the error "File does not begin with '%PDF".
    iView launches in HTML Gui.
When we launch the same report from ECC directly login with GUI we are able to take the print.
Is there any settings need to be maintain in "FRONTEND_PRINT" service.
    Thanks
    Murthy

    Hi,
Check the note Note 1042424 - Printing in WebGUI: Error "File does not begin with '%PDF-'"
This should help resolve the problem.
    Cheers-

  • Tx.ssd - WinGui transaction iView

    Hi,
I have created a system, though not sure it has been completely successful. The connection-test gives a green light, but the transaction test found at System Administration/SAP Application/SAP Transaction (with proper data filled in) returns a dialog box asking me to download a file called tx.ssd. Unfortunately, downloading it does not help.
The same box appears when I try to preview an SAP transaction iView with WinGui (which is what I am trying to do).
The portal version is 6.0 SP 14. Sap WinGui is installed on the client accessing and browsing the portal, and the PCD path is less than 255 characters.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?
Suggestions will be highly appreciated, and solutions highly awarded!
    Regards,
    Stina.

    HI Stina
Since the SAP GUI is not installed on server so u r unable to see the iview created with wingui
and u got message file download tx.ssd (open save)
wingui is installed on client machine so u r able to see the iview
if u have ITS installed than creat a webgui iview
and also configure ITS in Portal system

  • How to stop HTTP Security warning message in transactional iview

When I am trying to access ECC through transactional iview then I am getting HTTP security warning message i.e. This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?
I think it is because portal is accessable using HTTPS protocol and when we access ECC then it uses HTTP Protocol.
    Pl help to resolve.

    Hi AshuGrover_in,
    First, welcome on SDN!
    > I think it is because portal is accessable using HTTPS protocol and when we access ECC then it uses HTTP Protocol.
    > Pl help to resolve.
This might very well be the root cause of the issue, and if it is, you know the resolution - make all systems accessible via https.
Anyhow, to examine the exact cause creating this message you could use tools like HttpWatch or something similar and record the client accesses to the server. If you originally have a GET to a https address, the first http request caused by the original request will throw this message.
Theoretically, on client side, you can switch off this message: Search for "switch off http https warning" on google and you will get all possible instructions for the different clients. Anyhow, a clean landscape design with complete https connections is the aim you should have.
    Hope it helps
    Detlev

  • Error while accessing transaction codes through URL's in IFrame UI element

    Hi Experts,
I have created Transaction iviews ck91N, ck11N, ck24 in SAP NW CE7.2. I am accessing these Transaction iviews through URL's in webdynpro java application. I am using IFrame UI element in a Roadmap UI for each transaction code.
when i access step1 i.e ck91N in a IFrame it is working fine then i click button for step2, it displays the following error.
    Error while processing your request!
    What has happened?

Then next step3 it is working fine. If i change Road Map steps Ck11N,ck91N,ck24 in this order then first one is working fine second one gives error and third one is working fine again. It is working alternatively. I don't understand why this is happening? when i use LinkToURL for these 3 URL's then they are working fine. LinkTOURL opens in new browser(window) and in Roadmap i am accessing 3 URL's in same browser(window).

  • How to pass the User Group for a SQ00 Transaction iView

    Hello,
To start off, I am relatively new to SAP technology in general.  I may be missing something obvious.
I am trying to create an SAP Transaction iView in our EP Portal that will call the SQ00 transaction (start query) and run a particular query against our R/3 backend.  I set the Transaction Code to: SQ00, the application parameters to: RS38R-QNUM=<my query> and the OK Code to: SHOW and the System to the System alias for our R/3 system.
My problem is that the query that I need to run is not in the default User Group that comes up by default.  So I get a screen that has the query field (RS38R-QNUM) correctly populated but the error that the query has not been created.  From that screen I can navigate to the correct User Group and then run query.  There does not seem to be a User Group field on the screen, you change it by accessing a different menu, so I do not know how to call the screen for a particular User Group.
Is their an application parameter that I can initially pass to set the User Group?
    Thank you.

And my lecturer is suck, every lectures she just read
the slices and never explains why and how they are.
(If ask her, she talks and talks rubbish and
eventually I get nothing)Maybe you should drop the class and complain to the administration.

  • R/3 Transactional iViews.

    Hi, Gurus.
I need of your help just to solve any doubts I've got...
-- The first one is about accessing R/3 via a transactional iView. I'm acceding the R/3 system without any problem (and not further nor strange configurations) vía the Windows SAPGui (because the system the customer's got doesnt't support the HTML one) and the menu bar dissapears. Is there any way to fix this meny bar.
-- When you "design" an R/3 Transactional iView, it's mandatory to fill in a transaction name in order to access it during the launching of the iView. The customer wants to force the login screen because they want every one of the user to log on R/3 with their own menus. Can I do that on any way?
-- Can I hide the Favorites of the Portal box according the Role I execute at any moment in the Portal or it's always visible.
    Thanks for all, dudes!!!

    Hi Santiago,
here is a little trick as far as the second point goes - create a transaction iView, give in a transaction code which does not exist and set the user mapping in the properties to user.
When the user has not maintained his login information, he will automatically be first asked to enter his login information (the login screen of SAP R/3). Apparently, after entering the login information, SAP R/3 does not know what to do next (which transaction to call) because the transaction code stays with the iView.
Therefore, the user sees the first menu screen in R/3. I haven't tried it but I have a feeling it should work
