Unable to access Unity 5 web page
This is pertaining to a new install. I can access the admin page locally from the server but not from anywhere else on the network. If I browse to the following page, it times out:
http://10.X.X.X/Web/SA
I'm not quite sure what's missing because it works at other sites.
As a solution you can reset the IIS. In order to reset the IIS on the Cisco Unity Server, open the command prompt on the Cisco Unity server and issue the iisreset command. This makes the IIS stop for a period of time. When the IIS re-starts, you are able to access Cisco Unity from the web interface.

Need help accessing the router web page. I have been told my router is acting like a switch and the IP address is not in the proper range. I have tried reseting the router (hold for 30 sec and unplug for 5 mins). Didn't work.
thanksWhat router are you using? Almost all Linksys routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default local IP address, but there is at least one that uses 192.168.16.1 , namely the WTR54GS (not the WRT54GS).
You need to try again to reset the router to factory defaults.
To reset your router to factory defaults, use the following procedure:
1) Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall.
2) Disconnect all wires from the router.
3) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
4) Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes).
5) Power down the router.
6) Connect one computer by wire to port 1 on the router (NOT to the internet port).
7) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
8) Power up the computer (if the computer has a wireless card, make sure it is off).
9) Try to ping the router. To do this, click the "Start" button > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. A black DOS box will appear. Enter the following: "ping 192.168.1.1" (no quotes), and hit the Enter key. You will see 3 or 4 lines that start either with "Reply from ... " or "Request timed out." If you see "Reply from ...", your computer has found your router.
10) Open your browser and point it to 192.168.1.1. This will take you to your router's login page. Leave the user name blank (note: a few Linksys routers have a default user name of "admin" (with no quotes)), and in the password field, enter "admin" (with no quotes). This will take you to your router setup page. Note the version number of your firmware (usually listed near upper right corner of screen). Exit your browser.
If you get this far without problems, try the setup disk (or setup the router manually, if you prefer), and see if you can get your router setup and working.
If you cannot get "Reply from ..." in step 9 above, your router is dead.
If you get a reply in step 9, but cannot complete step 10, then either your router is dead or the firmware is corrupt. In this case, use the Linksys tftp.exe program to try to reload your router with the latest firmware. After reloading the firmware, repeat the above procedure starting with step 1.
If you need additional help, please state your ISP, the make and model of your modem, your router's firmware version, and the results of steps 9 and 10. Also, if you get any error messages, copy them exactly and report back.
Please let me know how things turn out for you.

Access to WPC Web Pages by Anonymous Users?
Hello,
i want to give anonymous users access to Web Pages that were created with the Web Page Composer.
In did the following:
1. create the Web Pages,Site Navigation etc....
2. edited the permissions of the site: grant anonymous users Read Access.
3.included the site navigation into the navigation of the anoymous users
When i access the portal as anonymous users and try to open a Web Page, i get a logon screen for Authentification.
I think that there is a problem, that i didn't find any way to set the Authentification Scheme for these Web Pages to "Anonymous". This is the way it has to be done with other iViews.
When i am accessing the page with an authenticated users, i have no problem with displaying the same Web Pages.
Is there anywhere an attribute i need to set? Or is it currently not supported?
Regards,
Marcus

Marcus Böhm1. Configuration in PCD - go to Content Administration -> Portal Content-> Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Container iViews -> WPC
Default Containers. All of the iViews in this location should have the
"anonymous" authentication scheme. The next location which should be
checked is Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Portal Content ->Web Page Composer -> iView Templates. Again all of the iViews should
have the "anonymous" authentication scheme. The same applies to all the
templates which reside in Content Administration -> Portal Content ->
Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Page Layout Templates. Finally
check if all the pages which reside in Content Administration -> Portal
Content -> Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Page Layouts have the
"anonymous" authentication scheme.
2. Configuration in KM - make sure that all the pages, which should be
displayed to an anonymous user have in their permissions the Anonymous
Users Group.
3. Security zones - if you go to System Administration -> Permissions ->Security Zones -> com.sap.nw.wpc -> wpc -> no_safety and you open the
permissions of this object, the Anonymous Users group must be added in
the list.
If all mentioned objects have their setting as described and you still
experience problems (e.g. you see a browser dialog window for
authentication), the reason most probably is, that the KM is not
configured for anonymous access. A full description of the needed steps
is provided with note 837898. -

Logical port error when accessing e-recruiting web pages
Hi,
We are trying to set up our e-recruiting 3.0 and web dispatcher systems. We were receiving an error in our e-recruiting system in transaction SM20 that states Logon Failed (Reason=34, Type=H). The user is SAPSYS for client 000. The system was attempting to log on to our web dispatcher system. SAP suggested creating an entry in SM30, table VUSREXTID, mapping the External ID to our web dispatcher system. This entry helped in that we are not receiving the above error message anymore. However, when we attempt to access the web pages we are receiving the error Name of logical port &lp_name& is invalid. Prior to adding this entry we were able to access the logon page by entering the following url using an external alias (ex. https://recruiting.mphi.org/internal). Recruiting.mphi.org is our web dispatcher system. We do not want our e-recruiting system to be accessible from the outside. We want everything to go through our web dispatcher. Has anyone had a similar issue setting these up?
Thanks!
HeatherHello Heather,
I am no specialist in network infrastructure but i remember a customer setting up a web dispüatcher szenario. I also encountered this &lp_name& error from time to time during my work.
The error points towards damaged urls and the customer also encountered such problems when setting up the web dispatcher landscape. Sometimes the last parameter of the URL was ignored or lost. Sometimes the web dispatcher transformed the URL including the parameters. But as parameters are case sensitive transforming them to upper/lower result in errors as the system no longer recognizes them.
Perhaps you can check the URL with which the web dispatcher is calling the sap server to find out if it does any funny things w/ the links.
Best Regards

Unable to access SOA suite start page from remote browser.
I have Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3 and Oracle 10g AS 10.1.2 installed on a Windows 2000 machine.
I am able to access the default start page of the 10.1.2 AS from the local and remote machine using the following URLs
Http:\\hostname:7777\
Http:\\hostname:80\
Also, I am unable to access the SOA Suite 10.1.3 start page, bpel console etc - from the host machine using Http:\\hostname:8888\
However from a remote machine browser I am not able to connect to the start page of SOA suite only. Http:\\hostname:8888\.
Is there some settings which allow only local host access to the SOA suite pages?.
All the hosts are on the same intranet, there is no firewall. Also i have Msft loopback adapter installed on the server host machine.
Appreciate all suggestions.
ThanksI suppose you're using DHCP and hope you have followed the steps in the Installation Guide. With DHCP it is always a bit tricky to access the server. You should check your /WINNT/system32/drivers/etc/hosts file. If the hostname you're using during install is not in it then adding it will help.

I can't access the web pages thro' wi-fi,But if I switch off the phone and thenswitch on the phone again I am able to access the web pages.Daily I have to repeat this process.help to solve this problem.
Does using 192.168.1.1 get you to the web page?
Firmware Update Process
To safely update FW, I recommend doing the following: Download the FW file from the support site first.
Disable the auto update feature on the router.
1. Save router config to file first using IE or FF with all security add-ons disabled.
2. Factory reset the router with all other devices disconnected or turned OFF accept for 1 wired PC.
http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?pid=80&app=vw&vw=1&login=1&json=1&docid=9d2ff02077f645679972a...
3. Reload or Update the FW using IE or FF. Just download the FW file to your local wired LAN PC.
http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?pid=80&app=vw&vw=1&login=1&json=1&docid=0a6881b90224439b92c8d...
4. Factory reset the router and then set up from scratch first using the local log in link and test with out loading the saved config from file. Check to see if any problems are fixed before loading the saved config from file. Sometimes you need to set up from scratch with out loading the saved config file. Just safer that way.
PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the local log-in account on the router first. -
Adding web page in Adobe Muse that can be accessed from each web page
I have a disclaimer link at the footer of each of my web pages, I want it ot be accessed from each page. Where in Adobe Muse do I insert this page?
I'm new to Muse so two more questions for you all--
1. How do I add a drop down menu feature to my navigation menu to show the sub navigation?
2. How do I insert a Contact Form so that people can fill it out and send to us via email through our website?
Thanks! -
When attempting to access a specific web site on my iPad http://www.sggplastering.co.uk the page seems to load then quickly disappears (resembling a white web page). Other sites seem fine.
Thanks so much for addressing my question. Note that the site (www.xula.edu) was working with Safari this morning, but not this afternoon. I also have now been able to access it with Chrome (remember I could not access the site with Chrome initially). Essentially one time while the site was loading on Chrome I clicked another link on the site and opened a new tab for the link- the original page then loaded and now continues to load. I've been trying to do the same with Safari but the page loads and "goes to white" to quickly.
Other notes: I've powered off my iPad (did not help) and restarted my iPad (also did not help). I can also access all other links (to other www.xula.edu related pages on the site using Safari - I find them via a google search)- it's just the home page that loads then goes to "white screen" very quickly. Thanks again for your reply - any help/advice provided is greatly appreciated. -
Access bookmarks online web page
Can I access my Firefox bookmarks online without having to sync ? When using a public computer I would like to get access to my bookmarks but do not want to sync with a shared computer that I am using as a guest.
Firefox does not have that feature; the way Sync is hosted doesn't have web access. There might be an add-on which can make your bookmarks available in the cloud, either associated with an existing cloud server or simply using some free storage space you might have (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
I think some users might "roll their own" hosting solution using Firefox's feature of creating an HTML-format export of their bookmarks at shutdown. You can open that file as a web page in any browser, with your bookmarks listed as links, so it's just a question of where to store it online and how to easily get it there.
Using Dropbox as an example, you can save the file in a folder Dropbox mirrors to the cloud, and then you could open it from Dropbox on the other computer. Assuming you trust the computer enough to log into Dropbox on it...
''How to use this feature if you're interested: ''
(1) In a new Firefox tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''book''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML''' preference to switch it from false to true
(4) Select and copy the following preference name:
browser.bookmarks.file
(5) Right-click any preference > New > String. In the dialog asking for the preference name, paste '''browser.bookmarks.file''' and click OK. Another dialog will appear.
(6) Leaving that tab open, launch a Windows Explorer or My Computer window, and navigate to the folder on your computer where you want to save your bookmarks file. Click in the "address bar" of the Windows Explorer window and copy the full path.
(7) Back in Firefox, paste into the dialog asking for the path. At the end, after the last \, type the actual file name you want to use, such as bookmarks.html and click OK. The new preference should show up in alphabetical order in the list.
The next time you exit Firefox, within 15 seconds that new file should appear. -
I cannot open the web page for my bank using Safari, Firefox, Googl, or Yahoo. I can see others have had this problem, what is the fix? I have reset Safari and made sure cookies are accepted and that did not fix the problem. The bank assures me its the computer. Problem with that is that other banks open fine, just not the one I'm trying to open.
I would update. You need the update for apps.
