Unable to access wifi network previously forgotten - Windows 8
Hi,
one my client forgot wifi network due to unavailibility but after some 6 months i have made the same router available again but the same users laptop is unable to detect this wifi network
it is also not show in netsh wlan show profiles
even tired to uninstall network drivers and manually setup wireless network but still same issue
how can i connect it
Hi,
Does other account can successfully detecte the wifi? I assume that the wireless connection is not slow and each configuration of the wifi connection are set correctly.
Then I suggest you reset and reconfigure the router, or unplug the router power cord for 30 second,
reconnect power cord,
Perhaps the router remembered something about your Wi-Fi card.
If doesn’t work, please manually connect to the wifi , Control Panel>Network and sharing center>Set up a new connection or network>Manually connect to a wireless network, then type the related configuration, connect.
Regards,
Yolanda

Satellite P100-221 - How can I access WiFi networks?
I have a P100-221.
I want to access WiFi networks.
I dont know how to do it. Which driver should I install?
Any help please?
Regards
NevzatHello
If Windows recognize a WiFi network you can access and normally you will need a password. If you know this, you have access to the network.
Furthermore WLAN must be enabled with the WiFi switch on the notebook and by pressing FN+F8.
For this its not necessary to install a driver but if you need a driver you can find it on the Toshiba website.
I think you should look in the user manual. There you can a lot of informations about your notebook and informations how to access to a WiFi networks.
Sometimes its very useful the user manual.

Unable to access Verizon network!
Unable to access Verizon network! Got pop up window that "you've reached your mobile data usage limit. Mobile data turned off. " I have option to click re-enable button but doing so may result in additional charges. I've check settings, my mobile data box is checked. When I try to open a web page it tells me I'm off line with message "Wi-Fi and mobile data are turned off. The page can be loaded once you connect to a network. Error code: ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED" My wi-fi DOES work, it's the Verizon network that I cannot access. Someone PLEASE HELP.
Check the graph in your Data Usage section; it sounds like you've enabled the Alert About Data Usage feature, have reached that limit, and the phone is now restricting your data usage accordingly. For more info., see:

Tried to use my two airport express to extend my wifi network on a windows pc but no success
Tried to use my two airport express to extend my wifi network on a windows pc but no success
My two airport express base stations are 802.11n and i am triying to use them extend my wireless network which is using a D link wirless router as supplied my my ISP connected to TalkTalk network.
Unless the D-Link wireless router has Ethernet ports for each of the 802.11n AirPort Express Base Stations (AXn) to connect to, they will NOT be able to extend the wireless range of the D-Link.
Instead, when directly connected and reconfigured for a roaming network, these base stations CAN extend the range.
Please check out this Apple Support article on how to use AirPorts to extend a wireless network.
The key is to have both AXns configured as follows:
As a bridge.
Each having a unique Base Station Name.
Both using the same Network Name (or SSID), wireless security type and password as the D-Link.
Each AXn to use a channel at least 3-5 channels apart both from each other and that of the D-Link. -

I used to be able to connect my iPad to my house wifi network walking all over my house then one day it stopped. When i tried to connect to my network I would get an message saying "Unable to Join network". I found that if i was within 5 feet of my router it would connect and work just fine. At the same time I tried it at multiple other networks that I have before (girlfriends and other friends houses) and could not connect with same issue. Only place I can connect is my work wifi.
Can connect to wifi with my iPhone with no issues
I have reset my network connections

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
Try This - Renew IP Address:
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

: endHi,
You seem to have this nat (inside,outside1) source dynamic VLAN1 interface at line 2 which is causing the identity Nat/ Nat exempt to fail.
It is always good to use the packet tracer feature on the ASA to see what exactly is happening.
Try this
nat (inside,outside1) 1 source static VLAN1 VLAN1 destination static NETWORK_OBJ_172.21.3.0_27 NETWORK_OBJ_172.21.3.0_27 no-pr route-lo
Let me know how it goes for you.

Unable to access mapped network drive, DFS
TL;DR: Unable to map a network drive on one particular computer, except if circumventing DFS.
OK - So I have exhausted all my options in this matter, so all suggestions are welcome.
Keep in mind the file system is DFS.
1. User has been set up the same as our other users in Active Directory.
2. Most network drives are connected via GPO. They are mapped via\\company.local\common\
3. The users' home folder is connected via setting in AD -> Profile -> Home folder ->
Connect X: To \\company.local\homedir\username
4. When the user logs on, all network drives defined in GPO are mapped OK, but the X: which is defined via "Home folder" in AD, is not connected. When trying to map it manually, we get "Access denied".
5. If the user tries the complete path via Explorer: \\company.local\homedir\username - Error 0x80004005 Unspecified error occurs. We have googled this particular code but found nothing that applies to us.
6. If the user tries the complete path to the folder on the actual file server, circumventing DFS, the home folder is mapped OK.
Strange thing is: This only happens on this particular computer. If users logs on to another computer, in the same domain, receiving the same GPO etc. The X: is mapped fine via \\company.local\homedir\username
Also if another user logs on to the problematic computer they also cannot access their X: on \\company.local\homedir\username
So we tried updating the WLAN/LAN drivers to no avail. Might there be any settings on the network adapters that might cause this?
KthxbaiIf other computer has the same policy ("Send NTLMv2 response only. Refuse LM"), it should not be the cause.
I agree that all clients should have the same Group Policy but sometimes the group policy may not be applied correctly on a client which causes issues. Thus you can try a "gpupdate /force" and see if issue persists.
Also you can test to access \\company.local to see if it will success. Try \\rootserver as well if it is different as DFS folder target.
As the issue only occurs on a specific client, maybe we can have a try with re-join domain.

Firefox crashes when trying to access WIFI network with security agreement
When trying to access a WIFI network Firefox will crash immediately. If I use Safari, it will ask me if I want to continue to site 1.1.1.1, but suggests that it has an unknown certificate. Click continue and I am taken to a page where I need to accept the terms of use for the WIFI network. Once I accept the terms, then I can open Firefox.

How to select wifi network BEFORE the Windows 8 Login?
I purchased a Sony Vaio laptop 2 months ago and it came with Windows 8 OS pre-installed. I have no IT support at work for the laptop with this latest operating system. We are a small office w/ no server (on Wifi connections to DSL). I set up my laptop
to auto-connect to one of the 2 wifi networks in the office. We are having a new DSL modem, wifi system installed and they have killed my auto-connected wifi network. Now I can't login b/c I have no network connection and there is no way (that I can see) to
get to the settings menu to select the other network PRE-LOGIN. HELP! If I will never be able to select another network BEFORE I log in, I basically have a $1,000 paper weight on my desk and I'm dead in the water.Hi,
Can you log into the local account? Also check whether the wired connect could help.
In addition, two threads about setting wireless connection for your reference:

X220 delayed connect to wifi network after boot: windows or intel problem?
Good Morning to all of you! I'm searching for some advice for some problem which is troubling me lately. It's really not a big deal but it's bugging me: Every time I boot my x220 it will take 2-3 minutes to connect to my wifi network. I know it's not a big secret that all this lenovo tools installed are slowing down the computer and as a consequence the wifi software will be started with a delay but maybe someone of you knows a way or two to work around this? Maybe I can somehow prioritize the start of the wifi software?
I appreciate every advice I can get.
Using x230t (i5-3320M, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 80GB mSata-SSD) and loving it!

TP Unable to See Wifi networks for more than a few seconds
I've read a bunch of wifi related posts on these forums but none seem to be the same problem as mine.
My touchpad rarely, if at all, sees any networks. If it sees my network it usually loses it before I have a chance to finish typing in the password. I can wait, sometimes up to 20 minutes for it to finally see any networks again and try to login again only to have it lose it and start searching for networks. Manually typing in the network tells me no network with that name can be found. I managed to set my android phone up as a hotspot (without any security) and connected to it long enough to get through the setup and reboot, then it was back to not seeing any networks, not even my phone.
Things I've tried:
- Sitting 2-3 feet from the router
- New router (bought it the same day I got my TP)
- Disabled all security
- Tried setting router to 802.11b only, g only, mixed, different channels, rebooting router
- MAC filtering is not enabled
- Resetting the TP (power + home) sometimes gets me a connection for a few seconds.
- I have 2 android phones, 2 laptops, a home theatre, and a wireless printer that can see my network and my neighbors networks all the time and have no problems getting and staying connected.
- Did the 3.02 upgrade by usb to my computer
- Toggled wifi, toggled airplane mode
I called support and had my TP sent in for warranty. I received a new one (serial number and MAC addresses are different so it is a different device), but it's doing the same thing.
I called support again and did all the usual troubleshooting and the guy felt like I do, very confused how it's losing ALL networks so often. I'm taking it to work where there's an open wifi network I can test it with and do the 3.02 upgrade (new TP came with 3.0 installed).
Has anyone else run into this? Is there a bad batch of TPs with faulty wifi chips or antennas? Is the TP just not compatible with my Cisco E1200 router (and causes it to stop seeing all networks?)? Does anyone else have any ideas? I'm at a loss and find it hard to believe having this one exchanged as well will be any different.
Thanks,
Brad
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)Are you broadcasting your SSID? Sometimes this can cause a problem connecting. Is this Cisco router running any turbo modes or special preparatory protocols.
There are no know issues with Wi-Fi connectivity except on first connection; and the chance of 2 devices having the exact same issue is very unlikely. This sounds like something to do with your wireless router.
Have you tried to connect to another Wi-Fi hotspot elsewhere?
Do you have any 2.4 GHz wireless phones or security system that could interfere with connection?
