Cannot access any data within  SAP lbrary.Why?

  • Unable to see SAP Help files properly

    Hi,
    I had downloaded some SAP help documents (.chm) files. I am unable to view the contents. The tree view in the left side is coming but when I click any of the topics, 'Action Cancelled' message is displayed in the right side pane. I am using Windows 2000 Professional with Service pack 4. But when I run the same thing on a machine with Windows XP, its showing the contents properly. What can be done in Win 2000 to sort out this problem?
    Can any one help me out.

    Hi,
    I found the solution for the help file problem.
    The following is the registry entry one will be required to make in order to view the help file properly. This is because of a windows patch which is targetted at closing the loopholes thru which a malecious code can attack the system. So use it carefully. The path I have given should be replaced with your own where the actual files are placed.

    these are copyrighted material, so you cannot download these legally... The only legal way to get these is to take part on a SAP course, and you'll get an own copy.

    Hi,
    I have installed SAP R/3 4.7enterprise development server. But iam not able to access SAP Help in that . Can any one help me to configure SAP help in that.
    I downloaded SAP Help doc from OSS and saved to server and assigned in SR13 transaction. Even not able to access help. Do i need to install the help from setup.exe in server then to assign in SR13.
    Please suggest.

    Follow this steps
    1. Create a directory on the Win2K server on the C: drive C:\ONHELP\EN
    2. In this directory I copied all the files from <CD ROM>Htmlhelp\Hepdata\en
    3. Started the SAP server and from IMG activity "General Settings -> Setting
    variants for Help (SAP Library) [ Transaction Code - SR13 ]
    4. Clicked on HtmlHelpFile tab and entered the following values.
    4-a) Entered a Description "HTML-HELP 47 EN"
    4-b) Platform "WN32-98"
    4-c) Selected Documentation - IWBHELP
    4-d) For Path I entered
    <server name>\ONHELP\EN
    4-e) Language I entered EN
    4-f) selected the flag "default"

    Is there any Helps docs available any where abt the functionality of Content Variables delvered by SAP (using SMOD)
    I am looking for a variable which selects  Based on Fiscal Period/Year...that selects Last 12 Closed Period.
    Lets assume current period is 03.2009 ,Then i need a user exit/sap exit that dynamically populates
    As current period is still open
    03.2008  -   02.2009
    Please update is there any Content variable for this purpose or what is the logic i should use for User exit

  • Issue with creation of custom layouts using SAP Help Documentation

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is to create a home custom page layout (using web dynpro) in Composite Environment. The default options available in CE are not useful for me. I set out to make a custom layout using the following this SAP Help Documentation: [          Creating a Web Dynpro Page Layout (SAP Library - Using the Portal as a Frontend)|https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-102846]
    I have followed the instructions and followed all the steps, yet I fail to see the application in CE. The custom page layout is not displayed neither in options and is not available any where.
    Please let me know if anybody followed these steps and have got any success.

  • Unabl to start sap (DISP+WORK Stopped) While installing/importing database

    Dear Experts, As iam installing/ importing windows ecc 6.0  sr3 & DB2 9.5 ( Database exported using Hetrogeneous system copy from sqlserver 2005 to DB2), All phases finished and finally start sap failed due to db connect failure and i have tried by mmc and command mode but no hope. .     Dear experts, As i have updated as per yours inputs and still unable to start sap. Kindly help.
    1. SAPDBHOST is now accepting and there is no issues on "SAPDBHOST unknown."
    2.  dscdb6.conf file  is available and it has all permission (including login userlevel)

  • SAP help error

    Hi experts,
    We are facing problem in accessing the SAP help(from HELP> saplibrary) i m getting the message Browser starting and then error as follows:
    couldnot find file <path>/frameset.chm.
    Then i have copied the help data manually to a system and gave the path in the SR13 transaction. in some systems i am able to accesss the help but in some systems i m not getting the same.
    Then i have gone through the note: 857216 and made the corretions in registry, it worked again in some systems not in all the systems.
    Kindly suggest

    Language = EN
    Default = X
    Depending if you have WIN95 or WIN98 you need two entries in that table for
    Variant = htmlhelp95 or htmlhelp98
    Platform = WN32_95 or WN32_98
    are you by any chance using IE7? if this does not work, update SAPGUI with latest patch.

    OK, so I've figured out the syntax or querying the key field.  The criteria looks something like this:
    criteria='key:"D:\\Inetpub\\FoldererName\\FolderName\\FolderName\\Create_View_Delete_Calen dar_Groups.doc"'
    *note that every '\' has been escaped to '\\'
    Now say, I want to add additional criteria like documents that contain the word office, the criteria looks like this:
    criteria='""key:"D:\\Inetpub\\FoldererName\\FolderName\\FolderName\\Create_View_Delete_Cal endar_Groups.doc""" AND "+office"'\
    What I really want to do though is limit the search do docments in a specific folder, something like
    criteria='key:"D:\\Inetpub\\FoldererName\\FolderName\\FolderName\\*"'
    I can't seem to get this to work.  I've read other posting saying wildcard searches need to be in lower case, and I've used lcase() around the string to force this, but still nothing is returned.
    It's probalby a syntax issue, but I tried lots of variation with no success.

  • Unable to install SAP Passport certificate

    I'm getting exactly the same problem that Nancy Ruff was in thread 439036, "Not able to install SAP Passport certificate". That is, every time I try to download the certificate I get to the error page asking to set the flag to allow ActiveX controls to run. A 'partial' certificate is installed, but it doesn't work properly and has to be removed each time.
    I'm running IE6 SP2 and have checked all the settings indicated (as Nancy did) and they are all OK.
    Unfortunately, her solution was to remove NTuser.DAT and log in again (to recreate it). I can't do this as it will lose all other registry settings, so I need to find out what the problem actually is.
    Can anyone help?

    If you are unable to configure SAP passport certificate due to ActiveX issues, I recommend you download and install Internet Explorer ActiveX update. This works for Windows XP and Vista also (If you have IE 7 too). See the website below:

  • Cant finish installing iTunes 10.6 to windows 7, keep getting error message 7, unable to download iTunes help. Ideas?

    I started with the "cannot locate network file .msi" msg. I bought perfect uninstall to remove all traces of apple software from computer, it was able to remove the so called defective file. For 3 hours I tried to reload 10.6 and got a new error code 7, unable to install iTunes help, and I still can't get it or the old versions of iTunes back on my computer. I have since removed the software again and defragmented the drive with no success. Seems like a lot of people are having similar issues. I am very frustrated. I was so happy with apple products till now, so disappointed they would release such faulty software! Any ideas?
