Unable to activate Microsoft Office 2016

Hi,
I followed the requested steps and installed Microsoft Office 2016 Preview but didn't got any activation code and now it says that I have to activate within 5 days. Can you help me, please.

Hi,
As far as I can tell, if we want to activate Office 2016 Preview, we need to have an active Office 365 Business subscription. Please check
this thread, it seems that this only applies to some certain plans, such as Office 365 ProPlus, E3, and E4.
Anyway I can't guarantee the currency of the information above, as Office 2016 Preview is a self-supported program, we are not offering technical support for Office 2016 Preview right now.
You can try for help from the
Community where you can ask questions and get answers from other preview users.

  • Unable to open microsoft office

I am unable to open Microsoft office at all. I restored my system yesterday and it worked. shut down and logged on today the same issue. I show that an update was done last night so I am checking here first b/f I call microsoft.

How is this related to Firefox, or any Mozilla product?
It sounds like what you need to do is repair your Microsoft Office installation, then check Windows Update for any updates again.

  • Unable to reinstall Microsoft Office 2008

The Genius Bar reinstalled my operating system (Mavericks).  I have been unable to reinstall Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac.  It doesn't seem to even be able to read the CD.  Should I be able to install Microsoft Office 2008 or will I be forced to upgrade to 2011?

My experience with Microsoft Office on the Mac is that when reinstalling an operating system, Office asks you to resupply your authorization credentials.  As I recall, that is something like a twenty character code that identifes you as a legitimate purchaser.
Once your Mavericks was reinstalled, how did you recover whatever you had on your machine previously?  Was it still in place?  Did you recover it from a backup?  Did you attempt to run Microsoft Office from either the backup or where it had been before attempting the CD approach?

  • Can't open Microsoft Office 2011 even after unistalling then reinstalling. Error message comes up before launch. What do I do? Can I fix this? I need to activate Microsoft Office within 15 days!!

I recently got a new MacBook Pro Running on OSX Mavericks and used Time Machine to move my documents and applications. However Microsoft Office Student/ Home applications did not work and requested a product key. I did not have the product key for it as I had installed Microsoft a long time ago, so I purchased a new Mincrosoft Office 2011 Student/Home Pin to install Microsoft Office. Everything installed fine, however when I go to open it it failed to open.
I need to activate my Microsoft Office within 15 days apparently and this is done when the application is launched. However none of the Microsoft Office applications do Launch (not Word, Powerpoint, Excel or Outlook).
Whenever I tried to open one of the named above the Microsoft Error Reporting App would pop up and list the errors. I was advised on other support pages to disenable this app so I have done that but now Word is now giving its own error message saying:

I don't know or understand what is stopping me from launching my Misrosoft Office. I am wondering if others have encountered similar problems with OSX Mavericks and the Microsoft Office 2011? Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get it to launch?
I need to get hold of my Word and Powerpoint Documents ASAP.

This indicates you had a bad install. You need to completely remove Office and reinstall using your new CD Key. See instructions here. Do not do the simple remove, Use the COMPLETELY REMOVE ALL FILES steps.
    http://www.officeformachelp.com/2012/12/office-for-mac-2011-remove-office/
so I purchased a new Mincrosoft Office 2011 Student/Home Pin to install Microsoft Office.
You don't purchase a PIN. A PIN is generated when you install Office. You need a CD Key. If you bought Office365, you activate online.
I have issues with the Microsoft User Data - are there supposed to be two? and where exactly do they belon. They are in the Documents file at the moment.
Unless you used Outlook or Entourage you can delete both Microsoft User Data folders. When you install Office it will create a new one. Only Outlook & Entourage used this folder for data. W,E,P stores it's data in the User's Library/Application Support/Microsoft folder now.

  • Unable to send Microsoft Office documents as a attachment to an email

MacBook Pro Mac OS X 10.9.4
    Microsoft Office for Mac 2011
    MS Exchange mail server
When i am in Microsoft Office Word or Excel and trying to send the document as an email attachment
I get an error saying  “unable to mail please make sure your program is configured correctly and that you can send mail with it”.
The work around is to open Outlook and create an email with an attachment.  This works BUT I would like to be able to
send from within Office documents as well.
    Anyone have a suggested correction?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Based on my research, users who encountered the similar issue are able to fix this issue using one of the following method:
    1. Restarting Mac and holding the Shift key down as it booted to start the Mac in Safe Mode. Then restart Mac normally.
    2. Try to rebuild your Outlook 2011 database. You can do it with pressing the option key and opening your outlook and rebuild the database.

  • Unable to activate windows office

    hi team,
i bought the laptop a week back, windows 8.1 is activated . but whenever i open windows office i have been prompted with following message "activate by entering 25 characters and it is typically found in your product packaging."
please guide me in activating it .
    thanks

Actually it is not activated until you put in the  license activation key.
You will have to purchase a license activation key from Microsoft or an online vendor. It will be twenty five characters in length.
Microsoft Office is not a free product. The notebooks were generally delivered with a  30 day trial version, but I am not certain that is currently the case.
The only exception is if you purchased a Microsoft Office license from HP along with the notebook. That would mean that in the packaging for the notebook there would be a paper with the license activation code in the box with the other documentation.

  • Unable to find Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.dll

I am trying to develop a SharePoint Search Server application to run Queries through Console Application.
I need a reference to Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.dll for this to work. I tried looking for this DLL in list of Assemblies in "Add Reference" Modal. Also, based on MSDN article below, have also looked at
    %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\15\ISAPI
    MSDN Arcticle: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj163300%28v=office.15%29.aspx
I am unable to find this dll in either place. Where else can I look for this DLL? Is this something we need to download?
    Thanks!

    Found the solution.
    %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\15\ISAPI
    was taking me to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\ISAPI
    Instead of
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\ISAPI
Edit: Using %ProgramFiles% from Start>Run works fine and takes to C:\Program Files. Though using this path from Visual Studio causes this confusion.

  • Is it possible to activate Microsoft Office 2010 with the answer file?

    Hello
I'm not sure if this is possible but I have a volume product Key for Microsoft Office 2010 and I am currently working on an image that would activate Office 2010. Is that possible and how would I put that in the answer file? Everything I see on product key
activation just goes to activating for Operating systems on the image. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, it's completely possible, but there are some specific steps you must perform, to avoid issues in the deployed computers.
This is because the Windows sysprep providers don't include a provider for Office (which means that Office doesn't get generalized by sysprep).
You must also take care *not* to execute any Office applications/components *after* running ospprearm.exe (because that will cause the Office components to indivuate, which un-does the effects of ospprearm.exe)
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc178964(v=office.14).aspx
    Preparing the reference computer
To prepare the reference computer for imaging, follow these steps:
•Install Windows 7 Enterprise Volume Licensed version from DVD media.
    •Enable the local Administrator account.
•Delete the temporary user account and profile.
•Install Office Professional Plus 2010 from the network installation point.
•Rearm the Office Professional Plus 2010 installation.
    •Generalize the installation.
Also, some people find it useful to insert a specific Office activation command as a last step in the deployment. This is because Office setup will by itself only attempt automatic activation one time and will not retry. This can lead to unactivated installations,
warnings to the user, and helpdesk calls to you.e.g.:
    'cscript.exe "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /act'
This is not really an issue if you are using KMS, it's more of an issue when using MAK.

  • Activate Microsoft Office 2010

    Dear Sir,
When i open word, excel. I have get a message that this copy of Microsoft Office is not activated. I have not any product key. Kindly help me? How can i activated Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010.Where
    can i get help

    [Removed personal email address]

    Hi,
It depends on how you got the Office. If it's a trial version, you may need to enter the trial product key to activate the Office; If it's from your company, you need KMS or a MAK key to activate your Office.
Basically for activation questions, we suggest you contact your local customer service to get the assistance. In this forum we mainly focus on the client issues.
You can find your local customer service number from this link below:

  • Unable to install microsoft office for mac

I want to download Microsoft Office for Mac v.X to my new MacBook, however, when I try to install I get an error message saying "Powerpc applications are no longer supported".  Anyway around this as I still have a user key on this software available

No way around it.  You must upgrade to Office 2011.

    Hi,
Do you mean a Microsoft Office 2013 document or a 2013 installation file? large file or small file? try a small one instead as a test. it might be a transfer speed issue or a storage issue.
Are you able to acees other files, perform copy, paste edit, etc, any common operations in the pendrive?
As S.Sengupta mentioned before, we can try another pendrive, and find out whether this issue is caused by corrupted file? Pendrive itself? or the PC?
Any error message can aslo be helpful, like "access denied" or "read only", check the "security" tab under "Properties" of the Pendrive, make sure that you have full control permissions.
It also might be caused by some security settings which block the operation.

  • Unable to view microsoft office files (2011) with quick view and cover flow

I am unable to view office for mac 2011 files in quick view or cover flow. All I see is the generic icon and not the preview. I've searched a number of forums but haven't found a solution.
    Thanks

Yea, I did do a Time Machine restore not too long ago. Perhaps that was the cause. In any case, I went by the apple store day before yesterday to see if they could help me (I use quick look a lot!), and the tech's opinion was the my whole system was running slow and buggy, so he suggested to go ahead and spend the time doing a clean install of the OS. I did this yesterday... quick look for office docs is back, and my system is soooooo much faster and problem free now. Looking back, the ability of OS X to reinstall without erasing the boot disc is a blessing and curse. I upgraded instead of cleanly reinstalling when I got Snow Leopord, and recently did a time machine restore when I was having some problems. With windows, I was doing a clean reinstall at least once a year. Perhaps doing it once every two years or so is a good idea for mac. The biggest headache is importing all my old mailboxes into mail, and sorting through the duplicates that get created.
    Good luck

  • Satellite A60-106: Unable to open Microsoft Office 2003

I have Satellite A60-106 laptop with windows XP home edition pre-installed. After recent failure of windows i have used product recovery DVD of toshiba. Following that I was successful in downloading other software like microsoft works, one note, Norton antivirus from CD. But Microsoft student and teacher edition 2003 CD is not opening in my CD/DVD drive.
It makes normal CD accessing noice after inserting, but not accessible. Pressing 'run' shows error message as D:\ not accessible, I/O device error.
The same CD (microsoft 2003) opens with other computers.
So where is the fault and how to rectify?
I have tried all sorts of advice through web.
Can some one please help me?

    Hi
For me it looks like a hardware fault. The error says that the drive is not able to read from the Microsoft CD.
There must be something wrong with the drive lens and therefore the lens cannot read the CD and the drive is not accessible!
Possibly after lens cleaning you could use this CD.
