Unable to activate Workflows can use app permissions feature

Hi all,
Iam unable to activate Workflows can use app permissions feature in sharepoint 2013. it throws sorry something went wrong error. Kindly somebody help me in resolving this issue

Workflows can use app permissions feature is only going to be activated if 
1) You have configured your workflow manager properly. Make sure there are not issues with your workflow manager and you can create workflow using SP 2013 Workflow Manager.
2) You have configured apps for SharePoint 2013. Again you will need to make sure that you have hit all the check when configuring SharePoint 2013 apps. 
Follow these two articles to make sure that you have configured apps for SharePoint 2013.

  • Activating "Workflow can use app permission"

    HI,
    I am trying to activate the "Workflow can use app Permissions".
    I am getting the error "System.ServiceModel.Security.SecurityAccessDeniedException: Access is denied. "
    The user is part of the SiteCollectionAdministrators.
    What other permissions are required to activate the feature?

    No I don't think you have to configure the App Domain to use workflows.
    Do you also have a User Profile Service (preferably with User Profile Sync) up and running?  2013 workflows (like Apps) use properties in the User Profile to pass identity back and forth.  If you are going to run using App Permissions the workflow
    service is still going to want to be able to identify the initiator of the workflow.  For that you need User Profiles.
    Also, is your user just a Site Collection Admin or are they an actual member of the Site Owner's group?  Its not clear from the documentation whether activating that feature is a permission dependency or an actual group membership dependency.

  • Workflow 2013 use app model for higher security levels

    In a workflow 2013, I am currently calling a workflow 2010 so that I can use the impersonate step to run steps at a higher security level than the user that submitted the workflow. In the impersonate step, everything that needs to be run at a higher security
    level are placed in the impersonate step.
     I have found that the app model in workflow 2013 looks like it replaces the impersonate step in workflow 2010, correct?
    Due to that fact if I want to use the app model in workflow 2013 instead of using the impersonate step in workflow 2010, will I need to place all actions and conditionals within in the app model step for everything that needs to be executed at a higher security
    level? If so, can you show me how to accomplish this goal?
    If this is not true, what actions and steps do I need to place within the app model so that those actions and conditionals occur at a higher security level?

    What is app model in SharePoint 2013 workflow? Based on your description, it seems like “App Step”. Is it right?
    “App Step” provides all the workflow actions added to it, with Read from and Write to Permissions to all the Items in the Site.
    App Step is not available by default you need to activate Workflows can use app permissions feature in your Site to get this displayed for that site in SharePoint Designer.
    You need to place all actions and conditionals within the App Step for everything that needs to be executed at a higher security level.

    Hi,
    For VSAN you need at LEAST 3 hosts (4 recommended).
    Each host must have 1 SSD for read cache/write buffer.
    Do you have any storage at all? How about running a NAS such as "OpenFiler" or "FreeNAS". That way you can present shared storage via that way. (I'd use this in Lab only). These NAS O/S's also work as virtual machines so you can turn any disk into shared storage.

  • CcBPM - can't activate workflow when using expression in Condition editor

    Hi,
    My workflow (generated by ccBPM) won't be activated when I try to do an IDOC comparison (on DOCNUM), using an index (count), in the ccBPM Condition Editor.
    The condition looks like this:
    (msgs_receive[count]./HRTRPR01/IDOC/EDI_DC40/DOCNUM = msg_receive./HRTRPR01/IDOC/EDI_DC40/DOCNUM)
    There seem to be no errors when activating the Integration Process in the Integration Repository, however when looking into the SXI_CACHE, XI Directory cache, my integration process gets return code '99', even after reactivation.
    I get this error:
    Syntax error in expression Line1 Ext. IDE63443806B4211DBC393F1DE0ACE61FE
    The exception occurred (program: CL_SAI_SWF_RULE
    Symbol 'CE/KO' expected at position 1 in expression 'count{XSDSIMPLE::xsd:string;}'
    The only interpretation I make out of this is that it doesn't like my index (count) variable.
    Can anything be done to fix this?

    Hi,
    Return code - 99
    1) Export  parameter might be wrong.
    2) Check Oss Notes 901366 & 708338.
    3) 99 occurs when there is a mismatch in the mapping
    4) 99 occur if all the active correlations are not used.
    5) Try this SXI_CACHE select your business process and
       click on activate. change the  the return code to 02
       and upon activating again.

  • Unable to activate iPhone 4S using Apple ID after back up/restore

    Hello everyone.
    I was having trouble with syncronizing my iPhone so I thought it would be best to back it up & restore it back to it's factory settings.
    Once this was complete I was back to basics... As if I had only just turned the phone on for the first time.
    However when i went to log in usng my original Apple ID (which it asks for during inital set up) it tells me that my
    "username cannot be used to activate this iphone"
    I am now stuck without a phone and I cannot find a way to access it again.
    I can't even access the iCloud because it tells me I need to set it up on my iPhone first (which I have done previously but I still cannot proceed)
    I desperately need some help.
    Every solution I have seen & tried so far is no good, and I have seen mention that once this "lockout" has occurred... There's no way back into the phone
    Someone please help me out!
    Note: I am the one & only owner of this iPhone 4S

    Sprint does not use SIM cards.  Their devices connect via CDMA to the Sprint network.
    They can only be unlocked for International use by Sprint.
    Sounds like for some silly reason you purchased a Sprint phone with no intention of ever using on it Sprint's network.  Okay...that's not silly, it's just plain dumb.
    Only Sprint can unlock the device and they will only do so for customers in good standing.

  • Unable to activate namespace while using external defintions for mapping.

    In my scenario, am using XSD's imported as External defintions as my req and res message types. In the message interface the req and res namespace of the imported XSD's are different to the one in which the rest of the objects are created. Now, when I activate the objects, am getting the follwing error - Namespace urn:wb.apdrp.testwsdl.com is not defined in the software component version WBSEDCL_TEST_00 , 1.0 of wbsedcl, please help...

    It is possible to activate the objects in the namespace and not the namespace. I got the following error when i tried to activate my message interface.

  • Unable to launch workflow directly using processLaunch

    Hi
    I have simple WF and a form with a button in it to launch This WF with following syntax user/processLaunch.jsp?id=provision_WF_Task.
    I have added this work flow in to "End User Tasks" and "System Configuration" configuration objects
    When i click the button on the form i get the jsp page (user/processLaunch.jsp?id=provision_WF_Task#search) with message:
    Launch Processes
    Enter process information, and then click Launch to start the process. Click Cancel to return to the main menu.
    what else i missed out, that is stopping me to launch the workflow directly

    I have replaced "end user menu form" with my customized form.

    You may be confused between retrictions that apply in different areas.
    You can only authorise 5 computers to use a single ID.
    You can only associate 10 devices with a single ID.
    Associated devices include your authorised computers, thay also include mobile devics that use iTunes Match or automatic download from the cloud.

    I´m wondering if anyone can help me with this issue: I can´t get the Workflow app identifier to appear (again) in Site App Permissions. I was having some trouble with workflow permissions after changes in our SharePoint environment and decied to
    delete the Workflow app permissions and de-activate the "Workflows can use app permissions", and re-activate to hopefully get things working again...

    However, when I activate the feature (again), the App identifier does not appear in the "Site App Permission".

    For your issue, Try to do the steps below:
    Navigate to _layouts/15/appinv.aspx i.e. grant permission to app page.
    Type app identifier and click Lookup, it will generate Title.
    Type App Domain such as contosoapps.domain.
    Type the following to App's Permission Request XML.
    Click Create, it will pop up SharePoint app, and click Trust it.
