Unable to add any movie artwork now

i like adding original theatrical posters to the movies in my Itunes movie list, but as of yesterday I can no longer add artwork. it lets me drop artwork into the info window but once i press "ok" is just disappears. all of my previous artwork is still there, i just can't add any more. any help appreciated - thanks

Just another note for those who are stuck without artwork, do not try to change the icons/thumbnails for the movies in finder to the movie posters using 3rd party software. Coverflow in Finder does not work the same way as in iTunes for larger files (movies), it will be really slow. Just thought i'd caution anybody who might have thought of this workaround as I wasted the last hour doing that and it does not work smoothly at all unless its a tiny file (under 2/3mb).

Why not? What happens when you try? How are you trying to sync them or do you manually manage your iPod's content? Are you getting any specific error messages from iTunes?

Can't add any album artwork

Hi. When I add any album to itunes, I can't add any artwork for the album after. I use EAC for the trasfer of the songs and when I import them to itunes, I copy the album cover from internet and paste it to the left corner square. Sometimes it works but as soon as I switch songs the artwork disappears. I tried to add it by going to get info and by selecting all songs and nothing works. Any help would be appreciated.

What format are the tracks in? WAV won't take artwork. Anything else is likely to be a permissions problem - your account (or everyone) and SYSTEM need full access, files must not be read only..

Unable to add any printers to my iMac

For some reason my Canon MP150 printer was showing offline all the time, so I reset the printer. I no longer have any printers listed that I can add. I've downloaded Canon drivers that didn't help. I've restarted, unplugged, replugged, searched all areas but can't seem to find out what to do when trying to add the printer and nothing appears in the dialog box to add. Please help!!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

On a shared computer bookmarks toolbar works ok for one user but for the other it is blank ( not even the default bookmarks) and unable to add any bookmarks

Unable to add any site to bookmarks toolbar (it is displayed but empty!)

It is possible to display or hide the Bookmarks Toolbar (Menu/View/Toolbars/Bookmarks Toolbar) - but when displayed it is an empty grey bar. It is not possible to drag favicons from the navigation panel to the toolbar - the 'not allowed icon' (circle with diagonal bar) is displayed.
If the Bookmarks Toolbar is accessed from the Bookmarks Button (Bookmarks/Bookmarks Toolbar) three items are shown - 'Most Visited'; 'Getting Started' and 'Latest Headlines' - so why don't these appear on the enabled toolbar?

Movie Artwork

I have just upgraded my MacMini to Lion 10.7.2 and iTunes 10.5 (141)
My MacMini serves all my movies through 3 Apple Tvs in my house.
Up until the upgrade I could add a movie - give it a name - add the year etc etc in the Get Info Window.
The main issue is I used to be able to select the "Artwork" tab and add the artwork from the imdb data base or wherever I could find an appropriate image file.
NOW the "Artwork" tab is greyed out.
What is going on?

Any movie artwork you might have bought from the iTunes Store has a 679x960 size.
If you would like to put every movie art work also with a square size, you'll need to do it yourself. You'll have to use any photo program and then resize it to square size (350x350 for example)...

Unable to add music to new playlist

The last time I synced my ipod touch my playlists didn't sync back over and now when I try to update the software it crashes. I created a new playlist folder but I am unable to add any songs

Unable to add videos to library

Hi ,
I am unable to add any videos to the itunes library after updating my itunes to the latest version.

They are Mp4 videos which i had converted using a convertor. I was able to add them to the library before updating my itunes but unable to do so now...

Yes, for a while. If you delete your photos off your phone just to do the update, then re-download the photos to your phone after the update is completed.
OR........Since I'm a redundant kind of guy, connect your phone to your computer not with iTunes open and your computer will see your phone as though it were a camera. You can then transfer all your iPhone pictures to a folder on your computers hard drive, giving you a safe place for them to be stored.

Hyper-v cannot add any network switches

I just upgraded from from Win 7 to Win 8 enterprise and have installed hyper-v. I am now unable to add
any network switches (external, internal or private). I have uninstalled hyper-v and my nics multiple times. I have also tried to adding a switch using the powershell command New-VMSwitch.
All the errors come down to a file not found error but here is the one from powershell:

Unable to add a new printer in 10.5.7 - dialog box "quits"

Every time I try to add a new printer via System Preferences-->Print&Fax, the dialog box showing available printers briefly opens, and then quits. As a result, I am currently unable to add any new printers.

If you open Console (Applications > Utilities) and look at Console Messages you may see a reference to the Add Printer starting and stopping. This may give some clues as to the cause.
Still in Console, if you expand /Library/Logs and then expand Crash Reporter, there may be an entry for the Add Printer app.
If none of that is any help, then you could download the 10.5.7 Combo updater and ran that. If you updated to 10.5.7 using Software Update, then the Combo updater can sometimes repair files that were damaged by the sequential update.
You could also get a copy of Print Therapy from fixamacsoftware. This utility can help resolve printing system issues.
