Unable to add missing artwork after upgrading today to iTunes 12.1

I have a Macbook Pro running the latest updates. In fact, just a few minutes ago, I upgraded both the OS and iTunes to the latest versions of everything
(OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2 & iTunes 12.1.0.50). Prior to the updates I have been fixing my missing albums artwork by going on the Net and copy and paste the appropriate artwork to my missing albums without any problems. After the upgrades, I tried to continue fixing my albums to no avail, I no longer have access to add artworks to my missing albums. The grey box with the music sign that represent the artwork that I used to use to paste the photo artwork to is now grayed out and I am no longer able to paste onto that location. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks in advance for your support. Bob

Not able to save album art to iTunes m4v movie file.  Right clicked file in iTunes and chose MORE INFO, clicked the ARTWORK tab, used the ADD ARTWORK button.  Image appears in info window but disappears when clicking OK.  Image was not saved.  All other text info was.  Also tried to copy and paste inside artwork tab, does not let me.  Also tried dragging the image to the artwork tab in both the top and middle areas, again image appears but then disappears when clicking OK.  Also tried the OPTION KEY-RIGHT CLICK work around that worked in the previous version, no longer available.  Using iTunes version 12.1.0.50 on 2009 iMac with Yosemite 10.10.2  Any info or discussion would be greatly appreaciated.

  • Missing Artwork after upgrade to version 10

    Before upgrading to itunes 10 all my songs had artwork. Now the artwork is missing. Many albums will have the artwork for the first song and then its missing from the other songs in the same album.
    Does anyone else have this problem?

    I have the same problem. Since the upgrade artwork has just disappeared from many of my albums. It's not just that it's not showing in the album list, it's gone completely. If i "Get Info" then go to the artwork tab, the pane is empty where there used to be artwork. Using the itunes get artwork feature doesn't help, and as i spent a lot of time scanning in many of the images in the first place, I'm more than a little upset at having to do it again...
    Is there any way to use Time Machine to recover it?

  • Unable to add Exchange account after upgrading Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2010

    Hello,
    We have a number of users that we have upgraded Outlook from 2003 to Outlook 2010.
    I am now trying to add an exchange account to these machines, but it doesn't work.
    The exchange setup is correct, as we have some machines that came with Outlook 2010/2013 out of the box, and the exchange accounts work fine on them.
    The first error that appears when adding the account is:
    I have tried removing Outlook 2010, and then uninstalling Outlook 2003, reboot and re-install 2010. Same error.
    I have tried setting up a new profile for the user, same error.
    Our Exchange host pointed me to this  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2264398 which initially looked quite promising, as it describes
    the issue I am seeing. However, after carrying out the fix, I get the same error.
    I checked in event viewer, and these issues seem to be relevant to the issue:

    Hi Stephen,
    What’s your Exchange server version? Exchange 2013 or Exchange 2010?
    Since your original Outlook 2010 and 2013 users can connect to Exchange server and work well, I think the configuration(Autodiscover service, Outlook Anywhere etc.) in server side should be correct. Please make sure your
    new Outlook profile for Outlook 2010 have been configured with the following points:
    1. The Encrypt data between Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server is checked.
    2. Restart the Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access service in Exchange server. And make sure all other Exchange services are running.
    Please check whether the problematic users can configure an Outlook account and access their mailbox in the original Outlook 2010 client or not.
    Thanks,

  • Unable to add album artwork to iTunes

    Try as I might, I'm unable to add album artwork to an album that I have in iTunes.
    I've bought up the Info dialog for the album by either command + I or from the context menu to get the info for the entire album - and then I've tried dragging the album artwork as a JPEG, PNG and a re-saved JPEG to the album well or copying it in Finder and pasting it onto the well - and I've also got the open file dialog to appear by double-clicking on the well and picked it that way ... And nothing, I just can't get the artwork to appear.
    Is there something that I'm not doing or is this a bug? It's very frustrating.

    I have the same problem -- it used to be so simple with the previous version of iTunes.

    Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
    First, empty the Trash.
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it, then drag or copy it — do not type — into the Terminal window:
    find . $TMPDIR.. \( -flags +sappnd,schg,uappnd,uchg -o ! -user $UID -o ! -perm -600 -o -acl \) 2> /dev/null | wc -l
    Press return. The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
    The output of this command, on a line directly below what you entered, will be a number such as "35." Please post it in a reply.

  • Missing Airdrop after upgrade to Mavericks 10.9.1

    Missing Airdrop after upgrade to Mavericks  ( runing 8 g i5 mac pro)

    Actually, the Evernote extension thing was just a coincidence.
    It seems the real culprit is the firewire mixer connected to the laptop. After a reboot, I often have to shut the mixer off and then turn it back on before things start working properly.
    Chrome is not the only software affected either. So far, I've discovered iTunes and Safari are also basically crippled after a reboot until I turn the mixer off.
    Something is wrong with Maverick's implementation of FireWire, I'm afraid. I've written about cracking and popping noises I get from QuickTime when playing audio over FireWire.
    Something just ain't right.

  • I am getting this error message after upgrading to iOS5: "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad "ray's iPad" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined."

    I am getting this error message after upgrading to iOS5: "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad "ray's iPad" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined."
    I wiped it out and restored from backup but I am still getting the same message.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and that fixed it. Here are the specific instructions that I was given.
    ~~~
    Try the following steps:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
    Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
    it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
    Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
    Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
    3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch
    Good Luck!
  • IPod changed after upgrade to new iTunes
    After upgrading to latest iTunes, there were some changes to my iPod that I hate. All of my songs that were numbered or had numbers in the title are not at the bottom of the songs list instead of being the first songs listed. This is also the same for my videos. And my videos that were pretty clear are now are kind of fuzzy. These were videos that were converted into mp4 format, and most of them were downloaded from YouTube. I wonder does this have anything to do w/ the face that you can download videos from YouTube onto that **** iPhone. Oh, and the other night I had to reset my iPod and a Check with "Disk Mode" or "Now in Disk Mode" popped up. I honestly don't remember putting my iPod into disk mode. It's nothing serious, but it is just really annoying. So how do I fix this, or should I just go back to the previous iTunes?
    "All of my songs that were numbered or had numbers in the title are not at the bottom of the songs list instead of being the first songs listed."
    I assume you meant to say "now" at the bottom of the list?
    Unfortunately, like it or not this how the latest version of iTunes sorts songs. Numbers now appear at the end of the listings.
  • Can't paste artwork after upgraded...
    Can't paste artwork in "Multiple Item Information" after upgraded to the latest version!
    Have to Add artwork in single song info.
    Hi All,
    Thanks for the reply. I used to copy the image from FireFox "Copy Image" or copy the image from Photoshop and just paste into the "Artwork" box in "Multiple Item Information". It always OK but now it just appear the tick only and blank in the box.
    One time I tried copy image from ACDSee, it worked!!! It can paste from ACDSee!!!
    I'll try "drag & drop" the image into the artwork box when I get home tonight, where I work is using MAC, can't test here.
    Thanks a lot!
  • How can i get all the missing artwork after transferring my library
    Help i'm missing a load of artwork after transferring  itunes library from old widows laptop to new imac. I have tried getting album artwork from the advanced menu but it hasn't found all of it only 70 album artwork out of 190 is showing!!!!! been trying for three days to transfer and get it all but to no avail Help!!!!!!!!!!
    You need to transfer your iTunes library, not just the media.
    Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from your old computer to /Music/ on the new computer.
    Inside this folder, rename the iTunes library.itl file to iTunes library.
    Launch iTunes.
  • Address book list stopped working after upgrade today
    After upgrading to ver 31.1.0 today, all my address book mailing lists stopped working for some reason.
    It says it is not a valid e-mail address because it is not of the form user@host. How do I correct this problem?
    I have new information about this.
    It looks like it's [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1060901 this bug]. If you have an account on Bugzilla, it would help to vote for that issue.
    It seems lists with a description that includes several words have this problem. The bug report suggests replacing the blanks " " between the words in such lists' descriptions with an underscore "_".
    If you don't want to change your descriptions, [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1018299#answer-623437 the other workaround provided] still works.
  • Missing features after upgrade
    I updated my 3GS to 4.0 and lost cell data (though it will show full bars and 3G), as well as MMS. I then got the iPhone 4 and restored from my 3GS backup. Now, I am missing those features as well FaceTime (which isn't even showing up in the phone settings). Anyone know what's going on?
    Most important is obviously that I'm able to access the data network. I'd rather not restore entirely because I'd then lose camera roll, text history, etc.
    Hello, I had the same problem yesterday after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. After searching the web I found this solution (source: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01114052#SelectiveUpdate) which worked for me:      Step 4: Selectively update the imaging device driverIf a webcam driver is recognized after running the scan for new hardware in Device Manager, verify it is the latest version of the driver. note:If there is an HP webcam driver on the product page for your model and OS, use that driver, otherwise use the Microsoft USB Video Device driver.In the Device Manager, under Imaging Devices, expand the list of webcam drivers, right-click the webcam driver, and then select Properties.Figure : Webcam PropertiesMake a note of the existing name of the webcam driver (Example: HP Webcam), as it may change after the update.On the Webcam Properties window, select Update Driver....When prompted, select the option to Browse the computer for desired driver.When prompted, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer option.De-select the Show compatible hardware checkbox, select Microsoft in the Manufacturer pane, select USB Video Device in the Model pane, and then click Next to install the desired webcam driver.Allow the installation of the USB Video Device, and then click Close.View the Imaging devices option in the Device Manager to verify the presence of a webcam driver.   Hope this works for you too. Regards,
  • Organizer 10 missing thumbnails after upgrade
    After upgrading from Elements 7 to 10, I'm missing 1400 thumbnails in Organizer 10 that are still present in Organizer 7. Is there some way to find the missing images and get them viewable in Organizer 10? Thank you.
    Well, I figured how to fix the problem manually, fairly quickly. Clicked on Display, then folder location. In the My Pictures section, it was was easy to identify the 20-30 folders (out of about 100) whose images had not been imported into organizer. Right clicked each one, one at a a time, and clicked to import images. Voila.  Took about 10 minutes, and all the images are now in Organizer 10. Thanks for the ideas to help me.
