Unable to adjust brightness from in-game

Hi everybody,
I have a weird "issue" with my new iMac (2012 with Nvidia 680M). When I am playing Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2 I cannot adjust the brightness of the screen with the keyboard. If I quit the game, hide it or switch from fullscreen mode to windows mode there are no problems with the adjustment, everything works as it should. The funny thing is that the brightness adjustment works both on my macbook pro (17" 2009) and on my macbook air (13" 2010) while playing the games.
Does anybody have some idea why this happens/how to fix it? Not that it would be a biggie but... you know.

Hi try to disable adaptive brigness. After that yoshould me able to manually adjust.
To turn adaptive brightness on or off
Open Power Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then clicking Power Options.
Under any plan, click Change plan settings.
Click Change advanced power settings.
In the list, expand Display, and then expand Enable adaptive brightness.
To turn adaptive brightness on or off when your computer is running on battery power, click On battery, and then, in the list, click On or Off.
To turn adaptive brightness on or off when your computer is plugged into an outlet, click Plugged in, and then, in the list, click On or Off.
Click Apply. Click OK.

Hi: Normally that means the graphics drivers are missing. I do not see any W10 graphics drivers listed on your notebook's support page, so see if these work... 1. Install the Intel chipset installation utility and reboot. Install the Intel HD graphics driver and reboot. Unable to control brightness in target display mode

I use my 27" mid2010 iMac as a display for my MacPro. However after the Mac OS X recent update to 10.6.8, I noticed I am unable to control the screen brightness. Usually, I was able to do so using the iMac keyboard to adjust brightness etc. but now they do not respond in Target Display Mode. The brightness adjustment do respond if I am using the iMac but not anymore in Target Display Mode. This is a little frustrating as the screen is really bright and is hurting my eyes.

Same here. Late 2009 iMac 27". This must be a bug. (Apple: please fix this, thanks!)
As a temporary solution I installed one of the brightness control apps you can find in the App store.
I used Midnight from Ollix, searching for 'brightness' in the app store reveals some more.
<note: controlling brightness this way affects colors and is no REAL fix, just makes your eyes hurt less until the bug is fixed>

Greetings. I just installed a fresh new copy of Windows XP Professional-- and decided it was a good idea to upgrade from my Li've! value from 999 to a better sound card...At least so?I hoped. I purchased this card from Wal-Mart the other night, and if it's anything like the other sound cards purchased at mega-retailers, I am going to be in for a huge headache, aren't I?Anyway, to the point:? When I run creative diagnostics, both the left, and the right channel, come out of the left and right, and right and left channel, respecti'vely... I can take one ear off left, and hear "left channel" in my right channel, and vice versa. Problem #2: I am unable to adjust my bass or my treble on the sound card. What about the inability to adjust bass and treble? I google'd a bunch of different phrases about Audigy SE cards, and it seems they don't have that functionality. Am I missing something here?I installed the EAX control panel and that didn't help. Edit: Okay, so the left and right channel part is my problem-- but I have a headset by Sennheiser that has such a small headphone jack, it has to be halfway plugged into the sound card, in order for me to get full audio. You could then create a launchd .plist that runs at boot time and invokes the program with the brightness settings you perfer.

Adjusting brightness on external LCD of MacBook

I have a Samsung Syncmaster 2033 connected to my MiniDisplayPort. The buttons on the side of the monitor have stopped working. Is there anyway I can adjust brightness/contrast and/or any of the other configuration settings for the monitor from OS X? Otherwise, is there a third party software out there that will do it?

Adjusting brightness on BOOTCAMP

All along i was able to adjust the brightness and volume using F1,F2 etc when i was using windows 7 on macbook pro until recently. I was also unable to right click and scroll using the trackpad.
I downloaded input remapper to adjust the brightness and i just dragged it too fast and my whole screen became the dimmest! Which means I can't see a thing while running windows 7 now and what's more i can't adjust it back using the fn key! The mac system is all well, still able to adjust brightness and all. Is there anyway to adjust the brightness of bootcamp(windows 7) through the mac system?

I just found out a solution! Open your mac then look at your battery if you see a little plug cnected to the battery simply unplug it... If you're still a little confused watch a video on youtube. Remember you don't have to unscrew anything else once your mac is open. Hope this helps, don't be scared to do this if you're new to opening macs.

Adjusting brightness and colour temperature on WindowXP PC

I'm using Windows XP PC. I just bought 27" Cinema Display but I find that i can't adjust brightness and colour temperature in Windows XP......
I'm new user for apple and feel confuse about how to use this cinema display well in Windows XP PC.

For brightness you need the AppleControlPanel.exe file from the Boot Camp package to be able to adjust the brightness - don't install the whole of Boot Camp as it will cause problems on a non-Apple PC, just get this one file - I can provide it if you can't find it elsewhere.

I have an LOV where I've 4 items from the same table DONOR_TAB
COLUMN NAMES RETURN ITEM
FIRST_NAME DONOR_TAB_BLK.FIRST_NAME
DONOR_CODE DONOR_TAB_BLK.DONOR_CODE
MIDDLE_NAME DONOR_TAB_BLK.MIDDLE_NAME
LAST_NAME DONOR_TAB_BLK.LAST_NAME
I need to add one more item to the LOV
CITY_NAME DONOR_TAB_BLK.CITY_NAME
All the above reside in the same block DONOR_TAB_BLK
CITY_NAME is in the block where all the previous 4 items reside i.e FIRST_NAME,DONOR_CODE,MIDDLE_NAME,LAST_NAME.
But CITY_NAME belongs to CITY_MASTER_TAB table whereas the previous 4 items belong to DONOR_TAB table.
When i add CITY_NAME to the record group for LOV and compile , i get the message "Unable to adjust column mapping for form ouptut"
Why is this? I know i've committed some error somewhere but i'm not sure where.

Are you using Designer to add LOV to a Module Diagram and then generate a Form?
Or are you using Forms Builder to create record group for LOV?

Why I am unable to adjust the ringer volume by the side buttons and there is no ringer with the Mute button OFF

With the mute switch OFF - I am unable to adjust the ringer volume by the side buttons.
When someone calls/texts there is no sound coming from the speaker.
The headphone jack works when I listen to the Ipod and the speaker works when I change the ringer volume through settings. So i know that the speaker does work
Headphone jack seems clean and dust free
I heard that there may be a Skype issue than can control the speaker volume - so i deleted it but i still cannot get any sound from regular functions.
When I play the Ipod through the speaker with no headphones there is no option to change the volume and no sound.
If it works when i go through settings to set my ring volume, my ringtone plays - then why does it not work otherwise?

I have Iphone4s 16GB, IOS7.0.4 updates having a problem , that when i press + or - volume keys while my iphone is ringing my iphone 4s goes silent .
Whereas you know silent key is used to make the ringing phone silent. This button is working ok while only problem is my iphone goes silent while pressing + or - volume keys as these keys should increase / lower the ringing volume . These keys were ok working in IOS 6.
Where as these keys are also working ok in music player of iphone for IOS 7, the only problem is for ringing.

on how to configure NTRealm
but then I will still get the same error message:
"Unable to adjust token privileges"
anyone who encounters such problem?
any help/hints from fellow weblogic user would be very appreciated

Cannot adjust brightness in windows 7 64bit

Hi everyone, thanks for reading!
I cannot adjust the brightness in windows 7 64bit with my keyboard. I have tried reinstalling the latest bootcamp drivers but it still did not work.
The brightness of the monitor is just too bright for my eyes...
Is there anyway I can fix this problem? I really appreciate yr help!
My computer is an mid 2011 27" iMac. It has a i5 CPU, originally 4GB ram but i added another 16GB ram to it.

is your problem that you can't adjust the brightness from some keyboard shortcut or that you can't adjust it by any means in windows?
I have the same generation imac just 21" model and the apple support hardware video card driver auto adjust the brightness for me if one don't use the apple driver and let windows install some generic amd video card driver that may not be the case
check the amd catalyst display settings for more info also about brightness

I have built a form on my laptop running Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) and runs fine. I started having the message below

when I tried to open this form on another version of Forms running Oracle Developer Suite10g (9.0.4.2.0) on another computer.
Could this be the reason - non-backward compatibility.

Yes, you are correct - you cannot create a form in 10.1.2 then try to run it in 9.0.x. There is no way to avoid this.
In order to go from an older version to a newer version, you must recompile the source code (FMB, MMB, PLL) in the version where you expect to run it. You cannot simply take an FMX file which was created in 9.0.4 and expect it to run in 10.1.2. This would fail. New executables would need to be created using the 10.1.2 compiler.
