Unable to AirPrint on my iPad2.

Have followed all the fixes suggested by HP and Apple. Still does not work. Have learnt via the Talk Talk Community Forum as a result of other users complaints that it is probably a Router problem. Apparently a fix is coming in Feb, 2014.
Anyone else aware of this. A new is in the post but no guarantee of any improvement. Anyone got an interim solution. Have a new Photosmart 7250.

Hi,
Your printer is NOT an ePrint printer, it also is NOT an AirPrint printer (the 7520 is):

Close the App Store app, reset your iPad and then try again.
To close the App Store, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

• AirPrint setup on Ipad2.

Cannot see the AirPrint printer on ipad2.

I went to HP's web support and found that if your bluetooth is turn on, this will not allow your printer to show up. Go into settings/General/Bluetooth/ and turn off bluetooth. When I did this, my airprint works again.

• Unable to AirPrint since updating iOS 6

I am hopeing someone can help. Since I upgraded my iPad2, new iPad, iPhone 4s, and iPhone 5 to iOS 6 I am unable to print to my HP 3050A. One app says "a connection problem occurred: SSL problem (possible causes may include a bad/expired/self-signed certificate, clock set to wrong date)" while notes acts like the file was sent but printer does not react. I've rebooted the router, printer, Apple devices, everything. I don't believe it is a HP issue since it still works when printing from my windows laptop (sorry guys, haven't upgraded it yet).

Found the solution to the Linux CUPS Server what apple did was change the programming language in the AirPrint printing communication with the printers. For the majority of you guys restarting router may work but since they changed the language you'll need to update the firmware of your printer...go to the manufacturer's website and look for your printer and see if there's an update for your printer...if there isn't ask the printer's support team. But you'd need to update the firmware. For HP D110 you can update from the panel (we have these at work). Best of luck!
If you have a Linux CUPS server see solution below, did this at work and all the users were happy again :)
First, you have to create new mime stuff and restart cups:
echo "image/urf urf string(0,UNIRAST<00>)" > /usr/share/cups/mime/airprint.types
echo "image/urf application/pdf 100 pdftoraster" > /usr/share/cups/mime/airprint.convs
service cups restart
Then you must regenerate the avahi service using the airprint-generate.py script from:
https://github.com/tjfontaine/airprint-generate
This will again create .service file(s) for each of your printer(s).
Then copy the generated .service file(s) to the appropriate directory and restart avahi-daemon:
cp AirPrint*.service /etc/avahi/services/
service avahi-daemon restart
That’s it. Printers should now show up (again) on devices updated to iOS 6.

• Photosmart 5520e unable to AirPrint from any Apple device.

All devices are on the same Wifi, checked firmware update, checked hp network confirguration page all correct, eprint and wifi work all devices diffently on same network "No AirPrint printers found"

Hi,
Your printer is an AirPrint printer. From Apple help:
If you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found"
Verify that the printer:
Has power and is turned on. If it has power, turn the printer off and then on again to see if that resolves the issue.
Is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iOS device.
Has the latest firmware version installed.
Has paper with enough ink or toner installed.
Is free of any errors displayed on the printer's control panel.
Regards.

• Can I use AirPrint on my ipad2 with an office jet pro 8000 wireless?

I am currently using hp Eprint home and biz but can't print from pages
This question was solved.
View Solution.

Hi Unkljoey,
Are you referring to web pages inside the HP Home & Biz app, or are you referring to the actual app Pages?
Currently the Office Jet Pro 8000 Wireless does not support AirPrint or ePrint. The only way to print from the internet or selected saved files is to use the HP Home & Biz app. Here is a list of ePrint and AirPrint compatible printers.
In order to print web pages with the app it is required that you register the app itself with your eprincenter.com account. You can do this by selecting ePrint in the top right corner on the app, and then choose register with ePrint.

• AirPrint - Unable to AirPrint from my IPad to HP C360 after firmware update

I recently updated the HP printer from a notice on the printer screen. Since then I have not been able to print from my IPad. The IPad recognizes the printer but when I click the print button, the connect message does not appear nad nothing prints

The steps below typically resolve the issue you’re experiencing:
1. Power off the printer.
2. Completely power off the iOS devices (hold the Sleep and Home buttons simultaneously until a message appears asking you to "Slide to power off". Slide across that bar, and it should completely power off).
3. Power the printer back on.
4. Power the iOS devices back on.
5. Try to print again.
Those steps usually resolve the issue. If they do not, try this additional steps:
6. Power cycle your router (usually done by unplugging the router’s power cord, waiting 20 seconds, and plugging it back in).
7. Make sure that the iOS devices and the printer are all connected to the same network, then try to print.

Hi RedWolf72
I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to AirPrint from your updated iPad 2. Make sure that the iPad 2 is still on the same network as the printer. Also, make sure bluetooth is turned off on the iPad 2. Try power cycling your router, printer, and iPad2 (in that order). Basically, unplug the device for 15 seconds and then wait for it to boot all the way up. Then do the same for the next device. After all the devices have been power cycled try AirPrinting from Safari again.

• Airprint for windows?

I have a PC that is connected to an HP printer with Airprint. It was bought specifically so that the 16 ipads I have in my classroom can print. After the IOS5 update I am unable to print as the Ipad2 says "Unable to find a Printer". Is there a way to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

That "file" you and the video mentioned (which allows you to activate AirPrint on a PC and is unsupported by Apple) probably doesn't work with iOS5.
I have the same HP printer as you and it works fine with AirPrint from my iPad (after upgrading the firmware, of course). It's a wireless printer, so I am assuming you are using a wireless network to connect the iPads and your PC. rbii asked the right question, which you have not answered yet. Precisely how is your PC connected to your printer? With a USB cable? Wirelessly? What are the details of your wireless setup (type of gear, etc.)?
Airprint doesn't need any third party software to work properly. What it DOES need is a single wireless network containing the (wireless) printer, your PC, and all 16 iPads.

• Is it possible to print from an ipad2 to an hp j4680 printer?

hp officejet j4680 all in one - vista - unable to recognize printer using ipad2 - the printer works ok from existing desktop, laptop and kindle.

Hi Cdw914,
You printer should be connected to a wireless network.
Please download HP ePrint Home and Biz App on the iPad.
That should help you printing from your iPad to the officejet J4680.
The key is you need to make sure the iPad is connected to the same network as the printer is on.
Please let us know if this help you or if have any questions.
Thanks

• Can you AirPrint an iPhoto from an iPad?

AirPrinting from an iPad2 to a new EPSON Artisan 730 works very well except I can't airprint a photo directly out of iPhoto. All other aspects work well even airprinting an email that contains a photo. It seems to be a problem with iPhoto - the printer spits out an erroneous "paper jam or out of paper" message. Any ideas please.

• HT2693 My iPhone & iPad can't recognize my airprint compatible printer. My printer: Samsung SCX-3405 HW. Any one help me??

My printer is Samsung SCX-3405 HW that is airprint compatible.
But my iPhone & iPad can not recognize it.!
Help me please. What's wrong?!
Thank you

I've just installed this printer and enabled - everything is working on airprint with my iPad2, iPad Air, Macbook and Mac Mini.
The trick was to connect to the printer's wireless network directly (the direct connect box must be clicked when you're setting up with a USB connection) first. The next time I tried to find the airprint printer, it was there.
There is a password associated to the printer's direct connect network as well (setup utility gives you this). I'm guessing that once it's in the keychain for the device, it can find it and connect to it.
Anyway - this should solve the mystery. It's all installed and working. I didn't have to do a firmware upgrade (not available except as a windows.exe file), but I did install the latest driver off of the support community. I couldn't get the scanner to work until the driver was up to date.
I'm running OSX 10.9, printer is Samsung SCX-3405FW, iPad software is latest on both iPads.
