Unable to Allocate Skype Number

Hi All,
I have tried multiple time to allocate a Skype Number (following the instructions at https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA976/how-do-i-as​sign-skype-numbers-to-members-in-skype-manager) but was unsuccessful.  
Everytime I receive the following error
Service Unavailable
We're having technical problems. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please try again after a few minutes.

Skype Customer Service should be able to review your order history details.  Please contact them directly.  However, I would not recommend choosing "Request a Refund;" choose another route through the various drop-down menu options presented so you can start an instant message chat with a representative.

Skype is aware of continued and sporadic problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.

  • Unable to renew Skype Number

    When I log into Skype, it tells me my number is about to expire. When I click on "Settings" to renew it, it simply tells me I have insufficient Skype funds (I don't). All it will allow me to do is "Update" my payment settings, even though it actually won't (when I press "billing" nothing happens). When I go to the section of the site to download a number, it only aks me to purchase a new one. HALP.

    On the day your Skype Number subscription expires, it will be automatically renewed for the same period of time for which you initially purchased it.
    To change your Skype Number payment method:
    Sign in to your account.
    In the Manage features section, click Skype Number. You’ll see the next payment due date under your Skype Number.
    Click Settings. 
    Here you can change your existing payment method.
    You can change your payment method as long as the new method supports recurring payments, such as a credit card, PayPal or Skype Credit. This is not possible in countries where the payment cannot be made from your Skype Credit balance.
    When you cancel your subscription and your Skype Number expires, you can reactivate it from your account within 90 days.

  • Unable to reinstate Skype number

    We have just realised that our Skype number has expired (no notification received - we only realised after trying to call it several times ourselves).  However, we now cannot access the Billings and Payments screen (get an "oops we're having technical difficulties screen). If we click on the "reinstate number" link we get a "page not found" message.
    Basically we cannot do anything at all to try and reinstate our number.  We've been trying for a few days now, and really need our number back as it's advertised on our website.
    Anyone else having the same issues?

  • UNABLE TO CANCEL SKYPE NUMBER

    Am I able to cancel my skype number?  If not then that is stupid.  It was a purchase by mistake.  Didn't even confirm the purchase.

    Hi there,
    I have been trying in vein to set my new Skype number as caller ID for all my Skype calls. The reason I purchased a Skype number was for this reason. Depsite following the how to on this page "What is caller identification and how do I set it up?" my Skype number does not appear in the drop down menu when I follow all these steps ONLY my mobile number shows up.  I am a little annoyed by this and I would not have paid for a Skype number had I know you can not actual assign this number to your caller ID.  Maybe I am doing something wrong however, I am tech savvy enough to follow instructions and these don't help. I hope it is possible otherwise I feel I will need to seek my money back.  Thanks in advance

  • Active Subscription and Skype Number but unable to...

    I had a an active subscription and Skype number since September 2012, but I am unable to receive calls. The reason I purchased any this is so that I could receive calls that have forwarded to my cell phone.
    I have call forwarding activated. Before when I was just buying Skype credit monthly it forwarded perfectly.

    Having same issue what to do now? Is anybody there to solve this problem.
    Cant make calls but monet is taken from my bank account.order is also delivered. Plz help what to do

    I'm trying to renew my skype-in number. 
    I have two days to renew my skype-in number and unfortunately none of the remedies mentioned in the forums are working for me. I need to renew my number, but appear to have no way of doing it. Can someone tell me how one renews a skype-in number when the 'settings' link under the number just brings me back to the same page and no hint as to where I can go to change payment method (as one forum post suggested) or any other way of paying?

  • People are unable to call me via my Skype Number

    When people try to call my Skype Number, it automatically is directing them to leave a message.  I checked my Online Status and Privacy Settings and everything seems correct.  Is there something I am missing????

    Please permit this clarification: it is not your Skype Number you are calling out from; it is either a Skype subscription you purchased or you bought Skype credit to pay costs associated with outbound calls to fixed line or mobile numbers.
    If people can not  call you, when you contact Skype Customer Service to request your number be checked, be prepared to provide the text of any error messages your callers may be hearing.  We here in the Community do not have the tools to test Skype Numbers, so you will need to contact Skype Customer Service to do this.

    Purchased new Skype number today. It won't receive calls from a landline phone. From a mobile it appears "busy".

    Additional information added: can the Skype number (formerly known as Online Number) be reached from a land or fixed line?   If yes, can the number be reached from a mobile phone?  If not, then the issue is different - the wireless carrier may not be recognizing the number.

  • Skype number payment FAILED Due to change in debit...

    1.) My 3-month reoccuring billing cycle for Skype number: xxx xxx xxxx failed due to the debit card number changed.
    2.) I have deleted ALL other payment methods and inserted the current active card (ending in xxx xxxx but the xxxxxxxx  Swedish Krona owing has yet to be retreived and paid.
    3.) It appears my Skype number may be cancelled? I do NOT want to lose the use of this number!
    4.) Am quite upset that I can't speak or chat LIVE with a Skype representative!
    5.) How I use my Skype number: xxx xxx xxxx This is an L.A. Area Code, from which I receive incomming calls. I have a GOOGLE VOICE account, which I use for making ALL outgoing calls, I do NOT use Skype for this purpose (only incomming).

  • Skype number unreliable / not working?

    I am using Skype on a Galaxy S3.
    Ever since I signed up for a Skype number I have had people emailing me saying that they were unable to contact me on the Skype number that I gave them. This has become more frequent just recently and I have missed some important calls.
    When I call my Skype number from a landline it's a bit hit and miss if a connection is made.... sometimes I get "number not recognised" response from the landline. People who have attempted to call me report similar isssue or sometimes that the number is continually busy and does not go to voicemail.
    I called skype support yesterday via Live Chat and was talking to the support guy for 1h 20min and achieved nothing.... he blamed it on everything from my phone provider, internet provider, that my email account was overloaded etc etc ... I think the guy must have bored and was having a joke with me..... that or he was a complete and total utter ####### idiot.
    I have attached a screen shot showing settings on my Skype account page.
    Currently (23 Jan) my Skype number is not working at all... when I attempt to call from landline I
    get the message "the numebr that you have dialled has not been recognised"
    Anyone else having reliability issues with a Skype number? Unless I get the issue resolved I will be cancelling account as it is worthless to me in it's current working state.
    One more question.... I managed it yesterday, but cannot find it tooday, but how **bleep** do you get to the link for Live Chat.... all i do is get directed to send email???

  • Urgent help with ORA-01062: unable to allocate memory for define buffer

    Hello, Folks!
    I have a c++ code that is using OCI API that is running both in
    windows and in spark.
    (The same c++ code compiled and running in both platforms)
    and asking the same query.
    In windows, everything is OK but in spark
    it failes...
    The ORACLE Server is installed on win2003 station
    Both client and server ORACLE version is 10.2.0.1.0
    The code is running on spark(oracle instant client is installed)
    This query is a simple select query that selects only one field
    of type VARCHAR2(4000) (the same problem with happen with any
    string type field larger than 150 characters)
    The error occured when calling for OCIDefineByPos method
    when associating an item in a select-list with the type and output
    data buffer.
    The error message is: ORA-01062: unable to allocate memory for define
    buffer
    (This error message signifies that I need to use piecewise operation...)
    But it happens even if I make this varchar2 field to be of size larger
    than 150.
    It is not fair to use piecewise fetch for such a small fields sizes.
    May be there is not configuration setting that can enlarge this
    I know that I wrote here a very superficial description.
    If somebody knows something about this issue, please help

    I had a special luck today after searching the solution per weeks:)I have got a solution.
    When I get the size of the oci field, in the following expressioin
    l_nResult = OCIAttrGet(l_oParam->pOCIHandle(), OCI_DTYPE_PARAM, &(orFieldMD.m_nSize), NULL, OCI_ATTR_DATA_SIZE, m_oOCIErrInfo.pOCIError());
    orFieldMD.m_nSize was of type ub4 but according the manual it must be ub2.
    As a result, the number returned was very large (junk?) and I passed this value to OCIDefineByPos
    Now I changed the type and everything is working!!!
    In windows there is not problem with this expression :)
