Unable to Assign Source for PR
Dear All
From MRP, PR is generated for an externally procured material.
For that material I have maintained Info Record, Source List. Then I tried to assign the source for that PR but it is saying the error as
Not possible to assign a source of supply
Message no. 06553
How to rectify this as I have assign the source of supply then I need to convert it to PO.

Dear Srinivasan,
Please check the source list whether the validity date is expired or not. Normally once you create Info record & Source list assigned option should come in PR unless the validity date is expired. Revert me .

PR - unable to assign source of supply
Hi,
I have created purchase requisition and tried to assign source at "Source of supply" tab at item detailed section. But it's already graded (display only) out.
I have checked the "Screen Layout at Document Level" also. It was in optional mode only.
How can i make it as optional entry.
Could you pls guide me.

What i can understand is that you have created a purchase requisition and now you want to assign a source for the item through auto source determination in PR change transaction(ME52n) by clicking on the assign source of supply tab in the item details in source of supply tab page.
If its so Pl. check in the check box " source Determination" at the top next to the PR No. and then try.

Creation Info Record at Material group,Source List & Assign source to PR
Hi All,
Mine is a typical requirement, I would like to create a Info Record at Material Group level and create Source list for the Material & Plant combination. Now for this combination, I would like to create PR & assign source for this PR.
Completed at my end:
1. Creation of Info Record at Material Group level
2. Maintained Source List at Material level.
Issues/ Errors:
1. Info Record does not exist for the combination of Material & Vendor combination (which is true & I do not want it also)
2. Material differs from the Material from the Info Record.
Help / Information required :
1. Setting MRP relevant "1" for the Source List and for checking the field "Fix".
2. Assigning the Source in PR (in ME57)*Can anyone provide solution to the above

Unable to generate "Export data source" for Master data infoobject
Hi Gurus,
I'm in BW 3.5
I need to generate "Export data source" for a master data info object.
I followed below steps:
I ticked the checkbox "Characterist. is export data source" in the master data Info object maintenance screen.
In the Infosource area, for the desired Infoobject --> Right click --> Generate export datasource --> a dialog box displays saying "The generation of DataSource was successful"
Problem:
Even after refreshing, etc.. I couldn't find the generated datasource 8**** for the above master data. I also tried to replicate the datasource from the myself source system, but couldn't find it even there. I don't know where the generated export data source is hiding ???
Could anyone please help ????

I guess that after creating an export datasource for infoobject this DS should appear in the RSA1-Source systems - MYSELF - datasource overview (with name starting with 8). Since it's a datamart, it should appear also as system generated infosource. And in this case you would be able to assign in URs of data target the appropriate infosource (make sure that in Infoproviders tab of RSA1 you have inserted your infoobject as a data target).
However, there are some bugs related to export data source. CHeck if you see you export data source in RSA6.
If you don't see it - consider applying OSS Note #816892 - "30BSP26: Export DS for master data is not generated".
Note #876845 - "30BSP29: InfoObject change: Export DataSource not adjusted" is also may be useful.

Assign Source of supply is not working for contract with material group
Dear Experts,
I have searched all the threads and gone through before posting my query. So i would ask moderators to go through the thread properly before rejecting this.
We have value contracts with respect to a particular material group without material and with item category W in the contract item, Please note that for the materials with this material group, the source determination is not set and source list is also not maintained.
When we create PR for the material with this contract, and when we click on assign source of supply contracts used to get popped up, but recently from few days, when we click on assign source of supply we are getting an error " no source found for this item ".
Can anybody help on this.

As mentioned earlier, we are not creating PR with reference to contract.
first we are creating contract with item category W (material group), without material and plant details.
we create PR with or without material with account assignment K and with the material group in the transaction ME51N, and after inputting all the fields, we click on assign source of supply, it was proposing the existing contracts with respect to material group earlier, but it is not happening for particular material group(it is working for all other material groups)

we are using DIEN-Service material types and we assign that particular material group to only service material type.
we have not ticked, source list in the material master, we donot have any source list for the materials under that material group.( please check the note 457110- question number 14.)

Assign Source of Supply for Services

I understand that Materials has source list and the system can actually suggest possible vendors for the material via t-code ME25.
However, I am now dealing with services with service master defined and service conditions maintained. I can create PR via ME51 and assign source of supply but I can't do this for PO via ME25 as that is catered for materials only (even if I entered item category D, it shows as a material PO).
My question is, is there any default SAP transactions that allow me to create a service PO with the Assign source supply function? If no, what kind of enhancements can I look into to achieve this?

In a normal PO there is no auto assignment of sources so I am not sure why you think that there might be for a services PO?
Remember that to create a PO, you have to specify the vendor first, so how can it assign a source automatically if you have to manually enter the source before you can do anything?
If you are creating a PO with reference to a requisition or contract, again there is no auto source allocation because the source is being taken from the requisition.
So you need to try to allocate the source to the requistion and not the PO

its navigating to organization unit only (choose relation ship)
But for production system i can assign the BP with out any issue

There should be some relationship attached to those BP. Select any BP for which you are getting error, go to trx BP --> Open that BP --> then go to "RELATIONSHIP" tab and check. If entries there, you can delete those realtionship and try again.

One particular user is Unable to assign supplier in shopping cart for services in SRM 7.0 Shopping Cart. There is no difference in the roles assigned to him. He is able to assign supplier for materials but not services. Any suggestions?

From where he is buying the Services - free text or catalog or service masters.
Do you have other users having same problem?
Have you built a custom role in your landscape. Assign SAP All to his role temporarily and see if that happens again. If so, activate the Trace on his id and ask him to order a service SC to find out where he is missing the authorizations....

Assign Source of Supply at Header Level of SC for single Supplier
Hi Team,
We are in SRM7.0 and EHP4.
The requirement is : User is creating a SC for 50 line items to a single supplier. In SRM7.0 User not able to find the Button Assign Source of supply at Header Level. I know it is at item level and it is very painful from user point of you going to individual line item details and assiging the same Source of Supply 50 Times.
The design is Once Source of supply assigned. It leads to Auto PO after SC status changes to approved.
Please tell is there is a standard SRM7.0 Functionality to handle this requirement with out any BADI / Enahancement.
If not above, please tell how to enhace the same.

As I Mentioned in my Initial thread. We are using Auto PO. Once the Shopping cart under go 2 step Approval Process. Once the status is completly approved, Auto PO is created.
Pre negotiated vendors for product commedities are available for the SC requestor to select and the list of supplier to Product commedities is available to requestor.
Request Process (SC) is mainly used from approval point and from analytics (reports) point.
1 st step approval - Finacial Approvers approve the SC.
2ns Step Approval - Buyer check the Price in SC as per Vendor Negotiated rate and Approves and Approved staus SC result in Auto PO to Vendor.
Business do not want change the above process and it is configured as per business and delivered. Only difficulty they are faceing is when creating SC for Same vendor with multiple line items. They need to go Individual Item details and assign the source of supply. It is pain full for them. If the SC is created for multiple line items to same vendor. They want to assign the vendor at header level of SC, Instead of going to Individual item and assign the vendor in SRM 7.0

Question to assigning Source System for Activation
We want to assign source system for activation, before business content-InfoObject catalog activation. The steps as follows:
1.On the Data Warehousing Workbench: Business Content view from the menu choose Edit  Source System Assignment.->This step is ok, no question.
2. In the Choose source system by default? dialog box select the checkbox in the column Default assignment in the row containing the source systems you need to load data from.->Now we can see BI system as default call DEGCLNT500 displayed, in my case we only connect one R/3 system call DHHCLNT100 to BI system.
So, the question to that is shoud we select both R/3 source system and BW source system as default or just select R/3 source system as default and dis-select BW source system?
Which one should we choose, both or only R/3 source system?

If what you are activating it's going to retrieve data only from R/3, then select R/3 and uncheck BW.
You can change this whenever you want, if in the future you need bw, before activating, you can change it.
This doesn't means where is going to get the data from, this is just to look for active (and replicated) datasources to connect to the business content you are activating.

Unable to compile class for JSP

Actually,this is the condition.
In my db,there is a table called UserPassword, which has 4
fields(empNo,UserName,password,level). Now I want to do these things:
When the user submits the data to create a new account via HTML form, it submits the data to the file called CreateAcc.jsp. In this file it perform some logic,here are they.
1)To check the empNo,if it is already exist in the DB,
if empNo =exist then display error.(record already exist)
if empNo =notexist then do task 2).
2)check the UserName,if it is already exist in the db,
if UserName=exist then display error.(because it's a primary key)
if UserName=notexist then do task 3).
3)Create a new user account and save it to the db.
To do these tasks,I never create a new objects for the tasks 1) and 2).
only for task 3)create an object.
Is it the right way?

I'm getting these errors in the eventlog and ULS, "An operation failed because the following certificate has validation errors:\n\nSubject Name: CN=SharePoint Security Token Service, OU=SharePoint, O=Microsoft, C=US\nIssuer Name: CN=SharePoint Root
Authority, OU=SharePoint, O=Microsoft, C=US\nThumbprint: <STS CERTIFICATE THUMBPRINT>\n\nErrors:\n\n RevocationStatusUnknown: The revocation function was unable to check revocation for the certificate."
The errors point to the SharePoint Security Token Service as the issue ("The revocation function was unable to check revocation for the certificate") reported back by the Topology service. This is apparent when executing a search, accessing
the managed metadata service, issuing SPSite commands in Powershell, or anything that needs to run through the "SharePoint Web Services" site. I've looked at the certificate assigned to that site and everything appears to be in order.
It would seem to me to be either an incorrect endpoint configuration (internally cached perhaps?) or related to security access for the configuration database (in order to validate the certificate root).
What I’ve tried so far:
I’ve been all over the certificate settings, both in the server store, and within SharePoint Token Service config. Both appear to be configured correctly such that the root CAs can be validated.
Re-entered the passwords for the application pool domain accounts to eliminate these as a potential cause. I’ve also verified the service accounts reporting the error, do have access to the configuration database.
Re-provisioned the STS service to see if that might clear out any cached issues and validated everything else according to this
MS Tech note.
So far nothing has worked. Is there anything else I could be looking at that I've missed? (Full eventlog detail below)

This problem seems to occur when an administrator deletes the local trust relationship of the farm from the Security section of the Central Administration website
In order to resolve this problem, the local trust relationship has to be created. This can be done by running the following PowerShell commands
$rootCert = (Get-SPCertificateAuthority).RootCertificate
New-SPTrustedRootAuthority -Name "localNew" -Certificate $rootCert
After running the above commands, perform an IISReset on all servers in the farm.

Unable to get RequestDispatcher for Context

I'm attempting to retrieve information cross context in my web application. I've attempted to enable cross context access by three means.
- I've added "crossContext=true" to the <Context> element in the server.xml of the Tomcat configuration under the Servers project of my workspace.
- I've added "crossContext=true" to the <Context> element in a META-INF/context.xml in the WebContent folder of my project.
- I've added "crossContext=true" to the <Context> element of the context.xml file in the conf directory of the Tomcat installation directory.
Yet despite these changes I'm still seeing "Unable to get RequestDispatcher for Context....Verify values and/or enable cross context access" in the console. What do I need to do to enable cross context access using Eclipse? Thanks for any help.
ETA - I've had this working before. I believe that I upgraded to Tomcat 6 from Tomcat 5.5 and that's when the jstl cross context actions broke.
ETA - I've got it working in Tomcat 6. The problem arises when I change the name of my webapplication from "foo" to ROOT inside eclipse. I want a jsp page in the ROOT web application to be able to access a servlet in the "bar" web application.

How many times do you declare your context???I know, I know... I got frustrated. :o)
But seriously, since my post I've discovered that it is "working" but not in the manner I had expected within the IDE. That is, if I access the page at
http://localhost:8080/ROOT/myPage.jspThen I can see the contents retrieved from the context bar. But if I use.
http://localhost:8080/myPage.jspI can see that the page somehow has been deployed to the root context, but the error code 500 appears in place of where the content from the bar context should be.
However, if I export war files for these two web applications and run them in Tomcat 6 outside of Eclipse, everything works as it should. So this is an eclipse issue with respect to deploying a web application to the root context. Maybe there is some configuration about that I must make somewhere.
I hope that makes sense.
Anyhow, the server.xml file contains the following..

Hey I don't know if my mac book air is frozen, but the screen is gray with the apple logo in the middle of the gray screen, with the 'booting' icon turning round and round. I have switched it off fron both the power and power button on the computer,
