Unable to assign Wyse E02 Zero Client in Microsoft Multipoint Server 2012

Hi
I am implementing and lab classroom for 20 client to be connected on 2 HP Z230 workstation with Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD. It will be 10 clients on each workstation.
Everything is connected to a HP switch.
I have sucesfull installed the Muitipoint Server 2012 and it is fully updated with latest Microsoft updates.
I have also installed the Wyse E02 driver on the server so that I can view the station on Multipoint manager.
On the "Network stations" tab,  I checked the box from the specific client and click on "Assign to this server". While processing I get the following error:
Client Name: Network Zero Client
IP: x.x.x.x
MAC: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
The network is busy. Please try again later.
Thanks in advance for the support helping me to solve this issue.
Regards.
Muhammad A. Ismail

So, my Wyse E02 eventually showed up in Multipoint Manager and I was able to assign it to the sever but it appears to constantly connect and disconnect. Most of the time now the client just shows the black screen stating "Waiting for assigned host.
Ensure the assigned PC is running Windows Multipoint Server in station mode." Then I will see it disconnect and the screen will go to sleep and then will come back a few seconds later when MP Manager shows it reconnect.
My Hyper-V server (which Multipoint Server is running on as a guest VM) is in the datacenter and my thin client is in my office for testing purposes.  I have them in the same vlan.  Is this not a supported configuration?  For a quick
test I setup the Multipoint Server trial on a standalone OptiPlex and connected the Wyse terminal to the same 5 port Linksys switch and everything worked fine.

  • SCCM client deployment on windows server 2012 R2

    Hi All,
Can some one please share the information , step by step guide to install SCCM 2007 Sp2 client installation on windows server 2012 R2 machine. IF step by step guide is there this would be really helpful.
    Regards,

You have to install update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2861663 to your SCCM server to adds support for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
Other then that should be the same as other client (Push\Logon Script\GPO etc.)

  • REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES CLIENT ACCESS LICENSES FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS SERVER 2012 STANDARD AND DATACENTER

I am using a window 7 professional  service pack 1 and I purchase REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES CLIENT ACCESS LICENSES FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS SERVER 2012 STANDARD AND DATACENTER. but  the seller did not send me any installation CD or instruction
    on how to use it.
Please how can I use it on my window 7 professional  service pack 1.
    Thank you.

Though Bill is absolutely correct for most CALs, Remote Desktop Services does have its own special licensing server.  I haven't installed one on 2012, yet, but here is a step-by-step guide for 2008.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd983943(v=ws.10).aspx
Here is a lab guide for 2012 -
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj134160.aspx
But, the explanation of your environment begs the question - what are you trying to do?  You say you have a desktop OS and you are talking about Windows Server products.  In that light, your question does not make a lot of sense.

  • Unable to edit the "Default Domain Controllers Policy" from a Server 2012 machine

I am unable to edit the "Default Domain Controllers Policy" from a Server 2012 machine. The error message i recieve is:
"Failed to open the group policy object.  You might not have the appropriate rights.  Details: The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the open file is no longer valid."
The domain controllers are running Windows 2012 R2 upgraded from Windows 2008 R2, the domain functional level is Server 2012.
I am able to edit the policy from both a Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 machine.
The following post is identical however the fix for them does not work for me:

    Any ideas?

Yes, the Unique ID is available on 2012 server

This only affects the default domain controllers policy object
Another user added to amins and tested has no effect
It is the same on another server
    DCDiag passes all tests

  • WMS 2012 and Dell Wyse E01 zero clients

We have HP 6300 with Intel HD graphics. We are not able to start the server in normal mode. What graphic adapter can work together with Dell Wyse E01 ?

Yes we have used drivers version 12 and 13 but we can't trust them. Our solution is Radeon HD 6450 graphic adapter, Wyse driver version 11 on WMS 2011. This works very good.
So HP released a new computer. Deskpro 600 G1 with a new chipset. Then there is driverproblems again. We can put on 3 clients and it works, but when we connect the 4. or 5. client it won't work.
On WMS 2012 we have tried this:
Wyse driver version 13 for E01 and the built in graphic adapter Intel HD graphics 4600, but the screen resolution on the clients is wrong. On a screen like HP 2002LX we get a screen with 1024 X 768.

  • Unable to authenticate from 10.5 client to 10.5 Server to mount SMB or AFP

We have been banging our heads for some time now and have no idea what is going on. Here's the scenario:
We have a 10.5.6 Server bound to an Active Directory Domain
The Server's role is: Connected to a Directory System
We have ensured that Active Directory/All Domains has been added in the Authentication Pane of Directory Services
We have made sure that single-sign on has been enabled by running dsconfigad -enablesso
We have verified that SMB and AD are using the same password
The shares are actually being re-shared from mounts added through XSan.
    This has worked in 10.4.
Now, when a client tries to mount the smb share using domain credentials they get an error that they are unable to authenticate.
If an attempt is made to authenticate from a command line the error reads:
server rejected the connection: Authentication error
The smb logs fill with error -14090 [eDSAuthFailed] on each authentication type attempt meaning it tries kerberos and fails, NTLMv2 and fails, NTLMv1 and fails.
We really need to figure this one out. Anyone have any more ideas?

It does, in fact, fail the SHA-1 test, but how could that be? What could cause the download to be corrupt over and over and over? I've downloaded it both wirelessly and by wired connection, on both the MacBook itself and on a PowerMac G5.

  • Can't join clients to domain in Server 2012 R2 Datacenter

I have done the searching.  I have installed 2012 Datacenter 64bit.  No problem.  I installed the Ad Ds role and elevated it to a domain controller.  I installed DHCP and DNS roles.  I now want to join a client computer to this new
domain in the server.  (it's the only domain).  However, nothing I try works.  I get the message:
"An Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for the domain "DGR.MINE" could not be contacted."
Ensure that the domain name is typed correctly.
If the name is correct, click Details for troubleshooting information"
    Details:
The error was:  "This operation returned because th teimout period expired."  (error code 0x000005B4 ERROR_TIMEOUT)
The DNS servers used by this computer for name resolution are not responding.  This computer is configured to use DNS servers with the following IP addresses;  192.168.1.200
Verify that this computer is connected to the network, that these are the correct DNS server IP addresses, and that at least one of the DNS servers is running.
In my 2012 Server the DNS address is set to 192.168.1.200
In my client computer the DNS address is set to 192.168.1.200
The server and the client are both connected to a simple switch, so I'm using straight through Ethernet cables.  I've tried crossover for client to server connections also, but no luck there either.
This should be a simple process.  Can someone with patience give me a step-by-step on setting my server to a domain controller, DNS server, assigning the DNS address, and what else I need to do to allow a client to connect?  Then can I get the
same wonderful help in connecting the client to the server?  I wouldn't ask for such detail, but I'm needing to check to see where I messed up, if indeed I can find where.
    Thanks very much.

Make sure that the machine you are trying to join to your new domain has access to the domain (can ping the IP address of the domain controller) and has set itself to point to the IP address of the domain controller
    as its DNS server.
    Hi, Tim
I can ping my domain controller, but not quite sure about how to set itself to point to the IP address of the domain controller as its DNS server. where do I do it? Thanks in advance.
my sql keep dropping out the domain for some reason, I cant see any domain user account and the location is not entire directory anymore on my sql server even the domain name appears there. so I decide to take it off domain officially and rejoin later, but
failed to rejoin and gives me an error msg just like that.

  • Unable to install Generation 2 VM using ISO on win Server 2012 R2

I'm having a problem trying to build a new Generation 2 VM for Windows 8.1 Enterprise. I create a new Gen2 VM and then tell it to install the OS off of a virtual DVD drive attached to the SCSI controller. The ISO file mounted in the virtual DVD drive is
the Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 evaluation ISO that I downloaded off of TechNet. When I start up the VM to install the OS, I receive this error:
"Synthetic SCSI controller [...] Failed to Power on with Error: 'The version does not support this version of the file format'".
Basically the SCSI controller can't read the ISO file. However, the IDE controller on a Gen1 VM can read and boot from the ISO just fine. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a way to resolve this issue and allow me to boot the ISO from a
    SCSI controller?
Or is there a bug with the client Hyper-V SCSI controller that makes it unable to boot from ISOs properly? Has anyone experienced a similar issue on the server side?

Did you check your VM boot order?
Also, since this forum is under SCVMM - are you attempting to use SCVMM to create this Generation2 VM and then boot it from the ISO?  If so, you may have to use the Hyper-V Manger to do that, as the boot order could not be changed with SCVMM the last
    I checked.

  • Mac and windows clients losing connection to Server 2012 Namespace

I am running Windows 2012 Standard edition on two HP Servers. Both are fully patched O/S's and all HP system updates are installed. Each is running a 10 Gbit NIC to a Cisco 2960 Switch fully updated. Both Network shares are on HP external Drive bays connected
through a Smart Array P822 card
All users connect to the primary server (secondary server configured not to take referrals at this time)
My Mac clients running OS X 10.9.1 connect using smb and the namespace. When the designers come in they usually have to reboot in order to connect to their server shares. We discovered today that if they change the IP address the reboot is not needed. We
have an archive server running on a Synology NAS. Their connection to the Synology is not impacted.
The windows machines will lose connection at random and not everyone at once. Usually no more than twice in a week. The fix is either a reboot or an IP change, sometimes both. None of the machines go to sleep or hibernate. All machines are fully patched
with windows updates, and HP system updates.
We run Avast on both the Mac's and PC's if this makes a difference.
    Any thoughts?
    thanks

    thanks Shaon,,
    1) IP address before is within our DHCP scope of 192..168.0.51/200. When we set to static we set it to 192.168.0.16/20. We then reset back to DHCP.
    2) The error message is that it can not find the server if I try to map it.
    3) Clients can still access by IP address and FQDN
We have disabled Avast on a few machines to see if it will make a difference. We then ran into the issue on a machine without Avast installed.
We did notice that our DNS server was not deleting old entries and we found many duplicate entries. We set it to scavenge and then I went through and deleted old records. Not sure if this would cause a problem or not.
    thanks again for your help!

  • SQL Native Client 11 (ODBC) - SQL Server 2012 - MS DTC - Transaction Promotion

Hi and thanks for any help in advance,
Does the SQL Native Client (ODBC) resource manager support automatic transaction promotion?  I don't see anyway to get this to work using the ODBC API or the MS DTC API.
I have a connection that enlisted into a local transaction (setting auto commit to false).  Then I get another call that is part of the same transaction but to a different server.  So I try to enlist the first connection handle into a new distributed
transaction but that fails with the error code 25000 - which seems to indicate that promotion is not possible.  Am I missing some other API call?
    Any help appreciated.

For .Net yes.  If you are using SQL Native client and ODBC - the Enlist keyword is not supported in the connection string.  For .Net System.Transaction takes care of doing the promotion for you if required.  What I am asking is how that is
achieved using SQL Native client API and the MS DTC using C++?

  • Unable to see local (LAN)_share drive and pc on server 2012

    Hello,
we have windows server 2012 and almost everything is working well.
we have installed AD and domain controllers but we do not use domain controllers.  we use mostly for RDP connection.
What we are trying to do is that other users on the same network can see the share folder setup on windows 2012 but no sucess
they see all other network devices but not windows 2012.... they even see our old 2003 server.
I am banging my head for almost 1 week to fix this issue.
and also, the w2012 server does not see any others local share device
the firewall is disable and sharing is on for pubic on w2012.
is there a gpo that is blocking it or something else
the fact that is not is on the same workgroup (but 2003 is on different workgroup and other people can see the see that server )
any guide or indices because i am out of idea and i am nearly to throw my server  because of that :(
    Thank you

Sorry for my English and for misunderstanding.
We have 2 servers only : one 2003 and other 2012
2003 is running but rarely used.
2012 is a new server : AD, RDP Licensing Server and file share server are on the same OS (same machine)
You also have another server (2) that's running windows 2003 and is not joined to the domain (workgroup only).
No, it is configured as domain too but not same as 2012.
Users are bringing in their own devices, plugging it into a LAN network (that's on the same subnet as the servers) and are not able to see the 2012R2 file server but they can see and connect to 2003 server.
    Correct
    Thank you

  • Unable to change keyboard layout for all users on Windows Server 2012 R2

    Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to support national keyboard layout for Danish for all users on that machine. When I ran the powershell with script Set-WinUserLanguageList
-LanguageList da-DK it only sets the Danish keyboard layout to the specific logged in user. However the for other users its same English(US) keyboard which is not expected.
Please help me how to set the Danish keyboard for all users on the machine. Its Urgent! Thanks

    Hi Mike,
    Thanks for reply.
But I need to configure everything using powershell script. Is it possible to use powershell script to setting group policy/ adding logon script ?
These are pretty basic administration tasks and almost always quicker to accomplish with the GUI. Why do you want to use a PowerShell script?

  • Windows 8.1 pro client on a Windows server 2012 R2 Essentials domain, how to change lock when idle?

    Hi,
I need to find out how to do something?
I have Windows 8.1 pro running on my PC and its part of a domain which is Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials, it all runs perfectly except for a little niggle where my Win 8.1 PC locks after its not used for a short time.  What I want to find out is
how to change this so it no longer locks when idle?  I know this is a security feature but as its just my home pc it can be very annoying to log in again after walking away from the PC for a few min's.
I've had a look through the default domain policy but there are so many settings that I can't find it, that's even if there is a setting there?
    Anyway can anyone help?
    Thanks

    Hi,
We can try to implement by use High performance power plan or GPO to prevent computer from locking down:
    Refer to the solution here:

Also, you can check if there is any task scheduled for idle:
