Unable to authorize my new computer after de-authorizing my old one.

I keep getting the message 'You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices.  Please try again.' What do I need to do?

    Yesterday I sign out from my old computer and install Adobe Creative Cloud to new computer.
    I was able to install Creative Cloud application and sign in.
    After installation any of desktop application (Photoshop , Illustrator ..) I can't start them.
    I received the message:

    Unable to sign in on this computer or device.
    This Adobe ID ....... has already been used to activate the software on two other computers or devices.

  • Synching to new computer after harddrive fail on old one

    my old laptop died. now i can't sync my iphone anymore as it will loose all it's (paid for) content. i now this is intended by design but surely they thought about this? so how can i sync to my new laptop and keep all my stuff on my iphone.

    thank you. yeah i did that (use an external hdd and time machine) but for some reason that didn't work for everything (also have problems restoring my lightroom library, but that's a different matter).

    For a computer running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
    For a computer running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.
    The Deauthorize Computer function is also in the Store menu.

    The CC version doesn't use a serial number. Is activated with your Adobe ID and password. And it's all tied to your account being paid current. Other than that, the programs are the same. You have been provided the link to the standalone installation in the comment above this one.

    I have a Mac and an Airbook, but I am about to lose access to the Mac. I have sync'd my iPhone and iPad to the Mac, and now need to sync them to my Airbook instead.

    You are allowed to have two activated installations, so if you only ever had the one then there is nothing to keep you from activating a new installation.  If you would like to free up the inaccessible activation then you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

    I am having the same problem.  I just want to get the last of the music I purchased off this really terrible, terrible software system so I can use it on a real phone (Android-based).  The thing must have known I'm trying to get rid of it because it won't let me deauthorize my computers so I can get the music on this one (hard drive crashed ... twice).  I am ending all my association with Apple because their products fail so badly whenever I try to do anything (like this).  For the life of me I can't figure out why they're so popular!

    Keep everything in the same iTunes folder.
    However, when I do it this simple way as compared to the Apple way it doesn't save my play counts or ratings.
    Since it is exactly the same library, everything should be the same.
    Then just go to external drive click on iTunes folder and then in iTunes add folder to library and all your songs load up. This isn't moving the library but just backing it up.
    You don't need to add anything.
    Hold Option and launch iTunes.
    Select Choose library... and select the iTunes folder you copied to the external.
    You can delete then /Music/iTunes/ folder as this same folder was copied to the external and this is now your iTunes library.
    You can also do this top make a backup of the iTunes library (thoug you should be making a backup (Time Machine or some other backup program) of yoru entire computer.

    It sounds as though you are experiencing an issue with an Apple ID and authorizations. Based on your post, it sounds like you are familiar with the authorizing and deauthorizing process. The Apple ID in question (your wife's email) may be originating from the iPhone you are attempting to update. Is it possible that your wife created an Apple ID or iCloud account which is signed in on that iPhone?
