Hi,
The chance of HDD failure is very high. Please try to do an HDD self test from BIOS.
Regards.

I have the same problem as many other users: updated iTunes on Windows 7 on Jan 26, 2014 and iTunes does not open.  First message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 126)". When will Apple fix this? Don’t feel like uninstalling all Apple software and then re-installing it as suggested, as I am on a terribly slow internet connection while travelling in the DR Congo.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • Discussion Forum: Unable to perform the operation: Row was not found using

    Hi all,
I deployed the Discussion Forum and it shows the Portlet with "Creating a product ..". Very fine.
I can create a Product. Fine also.
I can fill in a new Thread, but then, when I try to submit it, I get the error:
Unable to perform the operation: Row was not found using request parameter: 000100000004313437380000012A000000F8FE832E94.
When I click Cancel. I see the Overview of the Products. I drill down to the Threads for my Product and the new thread appears on the list. As soon as I click on the Thread in order to read it the following error appears:
Unable to perform the operation: Row was not found using request parameter: 0001000000043134373800000134000000F8FE832E94.
    Any help is appreciated,
    Michael

You need to set the Login Frequency (while registering the provider) to 'Once Per Session'. This will allow the portlet to track the user transaction state.
Make sure that you do not bounce the oc4j container in between the portlet operations, since this will leave the transaction into inconsistent state.
You have to ensure that whenever you bounce the oc4j container/provider mid-tier you logout of portal and login again.
    This will solve the problem.

  • Harddisk not found by Windows-XP-Setup + RnR does not work at all !?!

    Hi all,
I wanted to recover a my system (R61, 8943-DKG) using RnR from the Windows XP-platform. It took more than 24 hours and "finished" with a reboot saying "windows could not be startet, as the following file is missing or has been damaged: \windows\system32\c_1252.nls. You may try to repair the file by starting the Windows setup from the  original CD. Use the "R"-Option to start the setup-repairing" (this is my translation of the german message I got, the exact english wording thus might be different).
Two problems occur and leave me with no options/ideas at the moment:
    1) Starting the "R"-Option or the "install new"-option of a windows setup from an XP-CD (from another machine, the ThinkPad came without any CDs/DVDs), gives me the message "no harddisk could be found". In the BIOS the harddisk is found an the hardware check passed.
    2) Pushing the blue Thinkvantagebutton while booting starts the Rescue and Recovery software, but after "configuring your system" the laptops reboots, so no chance to start RnR !?!
My questions to the honoured community:
    a) Is there any chance to make the harddisk "visible" for the XP-Setupprogram?
    b) Do you have another idea how to start the RnR-software in order to at least reinstall windows-XP freshly from the harddisk?
Thanks in advance for any help!
    JoerchS.

    Hi JoerchS,
    1. You need to go into BIOS and set 'SATA AHCI' mode to 'Compatibility' under hard disk drive option for your HDD to be seen by Win XP CD.
    2. Sounds like the partition has become corrupt. To recover you system again, recovery discs are needed. If you have not created recovery discs in advance [http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-70804] then you will have to obtain them from lenovo usually for a fee.
    Hope it helps.

  • [SOLVED] Kernel panic at boot due to root FS not found

When I try to boot using a new kernel version (eg. 3.0.1 or 2.6.39), I get a kernel panic with an "init not found" error message. I haven't been able to get any more detailed error messages, but I assume that there's a problem with finding or mounting my root filesystem.
For now, I'm stuck with 2.6.38.7-1, which boots without any problems. (I keep trying the new kernel, then rolling it back using a Live CD.)
I have a shared EXT4 root and boot partition, and I'm using Grub 0.97. Other than that, I'm not sure what information would be helpful in tracking down this problem, and any help would be appreciated.

    No problem.

  • HT201210 Itunes won't launch? Message reads "Unable to locate Component - MSVCR80.d11 was not found. Do you have a solution please?

I just tried to update iTunes to version 11.1.4 on my Windows Desktop, which is normally not a problem.
However, halfway through the download, the following message pops up:-
"iTunes.exe - Unable to Locate Component. This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem"
I have uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, however the message is the same.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi ESiniard,
I realize this thread is over 12 months old. But I just encountered the same problem with my DV6 1375. The webcam stopped working, and it doesn't show up in Device Manager Imaging.
I've installed the new BIOS and chipset drivers, but the webcam is still not found.
    Thank you for any help!

  • T&E-Unable to edit/print expense report - Page not found or is unavailable

    Hello Gurus!!
We have some of the users reporting that they are unable to edit/print the expense report. When they try to do that they are getting the error message "page not found or is unavailable". We verified that the URL for the PCD page parameter is being maintained correctly in the Homepage Area framework.
Could anybody please suggest what else could be wrong?
    Thanks

  • W520: Unable to boot from USB - device does not show up in boot menu

I have a W520, and I am trying to boot from a USB key. The USB key is bootable, my old T61p boots just fine from it, and so does another computer I tried.
The W520, after pressing F12 on power on, immediately shows the Intel PXE agent and then some blue boot menu, which only shows hard drive and LAN as available boot options.
I have tried all three USB ports but the results are always the same - the USB device does not show up. Is there any trick or BIOS setting to enable boot from USB?
    Thanks,
        CS

    Hello Neil
Thanks for getting back to me
The issue was that the usb drives were disabled in the bios from the  Startup menu.
    To enable
    1. Enter bios
    2. Select boot
    3. If you do not see the boot device you require use the down cursor key until the "Excluded from boot priority order" becomes visible.
    4. Select the device you require (in my case USB HDD)
    5. Save and exit.
You can now boot from a usb stick and install the Linux distro of your choice :-)
    Cheers

  • I have been using firefox on my desktop with windows xp for years with no problems and suddenly refused to open. The error message reads "unable to locate component. plc4.dll was not found." What does that mean? How do I fix it?

The error message also suggests that I unintall and reinstall firefox, I tried that but it does not fix the problem.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
If you use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security then disable Virtualization and reinstall Firefox.
Other security software may have similar features to prevent Firefox from updating files properly.

  • Unable to view Applets due to class not found error. Urgent

We are currently facing issues in our upgrade to Java JRE 1.6 & above from JRE 1.4 on displaying certain information. Our applets are built in a way like at runtime it will access certain jar files ( tibco jar files) and use them to parse the incoming messages. The following will give a summary of the issue.
We were using Jre 1.4 in our systems previously. With JRE 1.4, we have a system where we use java applets to display data over the network in the websites. The java applets will use a jar file (TIBRVJ.jar file available in C:\TIBCO\TIBRV\8.3\LIB\) folder. The way we facilitate this is by including –cp “C:\TIBCO\TIBRV\8.3\LIB\TIBRVJ.JAR in the Java runtime parameter settings. However post upgrade to JRE 1.6, we are getting errors in our systems due to the upgrade as specified below. the only way we are able to avoid this issue is by placing the Jar file in JRE/lib/ext folder. it also requires changes in our Java.policy file to provide access to this.
    Error Codes
    ‘java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/tibco/tibrv/TibrvMsgCallback”
We would like to know why the tibrv. jar file is not picked from the classpath set on the Java Runtime Parameters, but being picked only after placing it in the ext/bin directory and changing Java policy files in JRE 1.6 and higher versions.

Hi Can anyone please share your views on this issue.

  • IMac G5 won't boot, flashing folder icon, disk not found

    Hi fellow Mac users,
My mother's G5 iMac suddenly stopped booting after no significant event. Here is some information :
    - When the Mac boots up, I get a flashing folder icon.
    - When running the extended Apple Hardware Test (from the original Tiger DVD), I get no error, even the hard drive (Mass Storage) seems to be fine.
    - When I boot on the Leopard DVD, the hard drive doesn't show up in disk utility.
I think the hard drive is broken, do you agree or is there something else that I am missing ? I am confused because the test says nothing about the hard drive.
    Thank you for your help

    @ Klaus1 :
Thanks. I tried but everything is fine on this side, the first three LEDs are On and the last is Off as expected.
But the article is about iMacs that display nothing.
    @ mrbear235 :
Pressing cmd+R does nothing. I get a grey screen and the computer eventually reboots after a while.
The computer seems fine appart from the fact that there is no hard drive detected. But shouldn't the Apple Hardware Test say something about it ?

  • Unable to calibrate my display - Original profile not found

When I attempt to calibrate my display through system preferences the message is "Unable to calibrate your display. The original profile of this display can't be found".
The message is in french, of course. I copied icc files such as Generic RGB.icc and so on in ~library/colorsync/profiles/ but no result.
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   17"

OK it's resolved. The profile reappeared and it was then possible to calibrate the display. Thanks.
