Unable to bring up newest version of itunes -"agreement" message disappears
I have a 30gb video ipod. After installing the new itunes 7.0 version, I am unable to access itunes. When I click on the itunes icon, the user agreement flashes up for a second and then disappears. I try to click on "agree" before it closes but am unable to.
I had this problem when I first got my ipod and was able to right click the itunes icon, click "run as" and click on "owner". Now I no longer have the option because the "run as" does not show up. (I have never been able to bring up itunes automatically when I plug in my ipod.)
I would appreciate any suggestions!!

Let's try something relatively simple. Download and save a copy of the installer to your hard drive (don't run the install on line and don't start the install just yet):
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now right-click on the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) that you downloaded and select "Run as administrator".
Does that go through any better for you?

Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that. -

I have tried repairing all the Apple related components on the add and remove programs on my computer. I have also tried to remove quick time and iTunes to re-install, they will not uninstall. This has been going on for months, and every fix I try does not work.to be honest, I have been reticent to use the windows utility, in case it wiped out all the music files from my iTunes. The problem appears to lie with the quicktime portion of the download. after numerous attempts at repairing all the apple programs on my computer, the iTunes version 10 finally has downloaded. Stunned me! But trying to download the newest version of quicktime still results in the same error mentioned above. I can live without quicktime, in a worst case scenario.

I am unable to drage songs from a shared music library between computers. This used to work perfectly until a month ago. I have installed the newest version of Itunes on both computers and have rebooted them, but nothing happens when I try to drag a song to another playlist or another shared folder. Unable to download newest version of ITunes and sync IPad
I have an old computer that we have used to sync our devices. After the IOS update I tried to sync my IPad2 to the computer however it wants me to update ITunes. This comuter has fallen into disrepair and will not allow me to download the newest version of ITunes. We are going to start using a new computer however there is data on the old computer that is not on the device and we need to sync it before disposing of this computer and moving our data to another computer.
Any ideas on what I can do?I am pretty sure that you can still but Leopard - maybe even search the online Apple Store.
If it were feasible and affordable, the ideal situation would be to upgrade your Mac - buy a new one with Snoe Leopard on it. That's easier said than done with you having just bought an iPad. But Leopard will be as high as you can go on the Power PC and soon Lion will be here.
I recently (3 months ago) upgraded my Leopard MacBook to Snow Leopard in anticipation of Lion. I love Macs and Apple products, but at some point, as with other tech devices, you have to upgrade to keep up with the technology.

Just updated to the newest version of iTunes, when connecting it prompts me to update my iPhone to the newest version of IOS; however, when I hit download it says I have purchases that need to sync but where and how do I do this on the newest version? It isn't doing it automatically and I am unable to find the sync button that was available on previous versions of iTunes.
