Sounds like a corrupted database. Restore from back up or Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Lots of people are having this problem; it seems to be endemic across Mac Users. I think 12/26/12 is when some sort of disastrous iTunes programming change was made. Ironically, I was fine when I was using Leopard (10.5.8)--the temporary upgrade to Snow Leopard's initial system (straight off the install disc) a couple of days ago killed the Buy Button… until I checked "Software Update" (on the Apple Menu), it found a free upgrade to 10.6.8, and the problem's gone. Check Software Update to see what kind of system upgrade you can install for free, and that may well fix it. I think it's a new iTunes issue with older systems, but if you do whatever free upgrade Apple has for you, it might well work.
Holy Jesus God does Apple need to fix this soon--and I suspect they will, because it's costing them a lot of business. Another variation of this question got *42* "I have this problem"s.

Yu are trying to impoort photos taken by or saved to the iPod, right? If the photos were synced to the iPod then iPhot does not work.

I can't open .jar file, nothing happens when I click on the .jar file.
I have MAC OS 10.6.8
The thing it, I have desktop application that I'm building on Netbeans and when I compile and deploy it... it runs from Netbeans folder where I have all the files but copying the .jar on the desktop. It says "The Java JAR file "blablabla.jar" could not be launched check the Console for possible error messages"
Any idea or solution will be appreciated.

These are Java files. http://www.java.com/en/ is where you can get the latest Java for your operating system. If your Java files need an older version of Java, there are instructions on the web to downgrade Mac Java, but it is difficult, and poses security issues.

Yes, you do need an antivirus app for iOS. However, they don't currently exist because Apple refuses to make their 'proprietary' technical OS specifics freely available as open source code or to any Antivirus companies, who could examine and potentially identify security holes. Try delete those songs using iTunes by de-selecting and sync. After that mark those songs and sync again.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

"program access and defaults" is not the place to remove programs in Windows. You need to go to the control panel and click on Add and Remove programs. For instructions on how to uninstall Firefox, see [[Uninstalling Firefox]]
