Unable to buy iPhoto
I've a iPhoto application installed with another friends account which I don't have access too.
I deleted the app and trying to buy through the app store it shows the link as "Accept" not "Buy".
When i click that
"These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID, and they will be available in that Apple ID's Purchases list. If you don't have access to that Apple ID and want to receive future updates, you will need to purchase the applications."
Not sure how can I buy iPhoto?.
Thanks,
Having the same problem. Anyone figure it out?

SallyThere seems to be a problem with that store.
Here is a link to the Print Product support in Australia.
http://store.apple.com/au/help/print_products#create
I'd try to contact them directly using the contacts at the top of the page or the contact button in the lower left corner.
You have checked, if your AppleID has an for Australian billing address?
By all means file a bug report using the Feedback Form: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html -

Hi I have created a photo book in iPhoto 11 and am unable to Buy Book, after inputting payment details. After accepting the terms and conditions the Buy Book button is not activated.
Just out of curiosity, had you tried restarting normally first and buying the book or had you only done the single restart in Safe Mode?
Also, had you been able to access the internet with the "Buy Book" button greyed out? -
Unable to update iPhoto in OS X Yosemite
I am now using OS X Yosemite, and I need to update iPhoto but when I try to click update in the App Store I get the following error message:
"Update Unavailable with this Apple ID
This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
I have only used a single Apple ID since purchasing my Macbook, and have never had any problems purchasing or updating software. I do not see any reason why iPhoto would have been refunded or cancelled...
Any help is very much appreciated!"Update Unavailable with this Apple ID
This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
That error message can be misleading. It means, that iPhoto on your Mac is not associated with your Apple ID.
Either you did not set up your Mac using the same Apple ID - did someone help with your setup and use a different ID? Perhaps a family member? Or did you let someone borrow your installer disks?
Or did you not yet "Accept" iPhoto and other iLife apps to your Apple ID? Check the "Purchased" tab of the App Store, if any applications are waiting to be accepted. If you see "Accept" buttons, press them.
You may be unable to "Accept" now, if you missed the update to iphoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks.
You could try to buy iPhoto, however. If you are lucky, it may show for free.
Backup your iPhoto library, if you do not have a current backup.
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the Applications folder, but do not empty the Trash, so you can put it back,if need be.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your current AppleID.
Open the main page "Featured" of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.
If it is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support to sort out the AppleID problem as TD recommended. Use this link: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/ -

Unable to run iphoto after upgdare
hi,
recently I have upgraded to iLife 11, and after that and software upgrade I am unable to launch iPhoto.
I am getting error "In order to open iPhoto, you need to update to the latest version.
Please run Software Update to install it now"
however there is no package to be installed in software update.
all were updated already
any idea how to fix this one?How old is your Mac? If it's very recent you need to update via the App Store
If you purchased at the App Store you need to update via the App Store
Otherwise you update via Softare Update
If you have moved iPhoto from the default location (i.e. into a Folder) then the updater won't find it. Move it back.
If you have renamed iPhoto, the updater won't find it. Change it back.

Unable to open iphoto after ver 11 upgrade
Unable to open iphoto after ver 11 upgrade.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

You need to contact App Store support. They are the only people who can help with account issues.

After updating to Mavericks, I have been unable to update iphoto, and when I attempt to, it says that These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID, and they will be available in that Apple ID's Purchases list. But no other appleID has ever been used on my computer, how could this be resolved?
Contact App Store support. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store Window. They're the only ones who can sort out account issues.

Can't buy iphoto in app store; another apple id on my macbook bought it before
Hello, i bought a used macbook air. after deleting the pre owners' admin account and deleting the harddisk i install OS X lion again. After that i wanted to buy iphoto in app store to use photostream on my macbook. But in the app store it wasn't possible to buy. The button says only "accept" and when i click on it i have to login with my apple id. after this a notification windows opens which says i'm not able to accept because another apple id (from pre owner) bought it before. i don't know his id or password. but there is no possibility to buy it again in the store. it's just to accept but doesn't work...
what can i do please halp me!Disclaimer - For me the Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico my first language is Spanish. I do not speak English, however I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture very different from that found in most 1st world nations, such as that in the two dominant North American countries. Written language has no tone. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
You will also find the Mac OS X Lion on your new-to-you Mac is tied to the previous owner's Apple ID. The two of you together need to contact Apple Care and request that Mac OS X Lion and the bundled iLife apps be releaed from his Apple ID, so that they can be accepted into your Apple ID. -
Icloud shows photo stream not available since it states it needs Iphoto update required
I go to Learn More next to the message
It brings me to : Support/apple.com/kb/ht4906 iPhoto and Aperture: using Photo stream
"IF YOU ARE USING AND EARLIER VERSION OF IPHOTO 9"
There is a link to Mac App Store for update
It brings me to iphoto: Are you sure you want to subscribe to this photo feed? I hit Subscribe
A popup comes up:
There is a problem with the subscription
Request to the server Macappstore://showUpdatespage failed.
I hit Ok (my only choice)
And I am at iphoto.
What is the fix?
I have spent many hours. If you have iPhoto 8.x and want to access photostreaming, you need to buy iPhoto 9 from the App store or buy the iLife '11 package. Have you already purchased iPhoto 9 from the App store?
