Unable to buy iTunes song

I am unable to buy a song on ITMS because I bought a new computer. Every time I do anything it wants a password. I can’t complete the text verification because it thinks I have a phone I haven’t had for a year. I can’t remove the wrong phone because it doesn’t trust who I say I am. What should I do?
In general, this whole iTunes thing has gotten to be too much work for me. There are so many hoops and obstacles its just not worth it anymore. Not when I can download the song for free from a Russian website. And I am a power user. I pity the poor average user. Apple needs to fix this.

Here is the problem. When I try to buy a song I get stuck here:
The problem is that I don’t have an iPhone 4S and haven’t for a long time, and my phone number doesn’t end in “08”. If I go to the page mentioned I get the same problem as posted above.
Do you think Apple doesn’t want my money anymore? That would be sad...

TS3354 Running Win7/64 on Mac Pro with Bootcamp, unable to buy iTunes HD movies

Hi,
ran into issue with Mac Pro tower connected to dual Apple Cinema 23-inch (final generation) displays. Running Win7/64 SP1 under Bootcamp on second HD; running iTunes latest, and unable to buy HD movie from iTunes store even though have latest Bootcamp drivers and Mountain Lion, and monitors connected via Displayport, Apple HD, and video (ATI Radeon 5700 series).
Is this an issue with iTunes not being able to detect the video card or displays under bootcamp in Windows?

Any suggestion would be helpful. I work during day on my Mac Pro, using Win7/64 most of the time; like to buy stuff on iTunes, like music, etc., and then be able to in living room download to also use with Macbook Pro and a Win7/64 HTPC.
Sorry to see such spotty support for iTunes on Windows 7 these days -- granted it's not their main product line, but still.

Just to clarify I am an advanced user going back to Mac SE/30, and so forth.
If you're not running Bootcamp on Windows, on Mac hardware, this discussion won't be of interest to y'all.

as you may or may not know, it doesn't look like the drivers that Apple installs for Windows with bootcamp provides the full control panel, so under the Windows device info all one sees is this:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
Everything works, but there is no Radeon control panel, and no way for Windows to see if its HDCP compliant, even thugh it is.
Sadly Apple doesn't provide a proper "Radeon" control panel for Windows, and I've heard of massive problems installing the defacto ATI Windows driver package on Bootcamp, as it might conflict with Bootcamp's drivers. The ATI site doesn't even have a modern download for Bootcamp ... it's up to Apple to provide.
SO, I guess I was trying to see how one could enable the ability for Windows to "see" the display properties (Apple's drivers recognize it as a cinema display, but that's about it).
iTunes won't allow purchase of the HD version -- it will only allow purchase of the SD version.
Perhaps another person using this kind of set-up might weigh in if they have a chance. Not world ending, just one of the minor annoyances with not having the full dirver control panel on Windows, running on Mac Pro HD.

Unable to buy Itunes due to 10.5.5 and Safari not talking

My printer works with 10.5.5 and not with 10.5.6, 10.5.7 or 10.5.8 (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11152850#11152850). Itunes wants Safari 4.0.3 or later and Safari 4.0.4 wants 10.5.8. So, no Itunes. Are there any workarounds?
My work/income requires CAD and 3D visualization sw and there have been reported problems about them mixing with 10.6. Obviously, no 10.6 until they play nice.
Suggestions much appreciated.

Hi Sig. I assume to go back a version or two of iTunes some parts of the current version have to be removed before installing the older version. Is there a general uninstall or do you know which items need to be removed and where they are located?

Buying iTunes Songs etc. in another iTunes Store?

I have lived for a long time in America but have now moved away to Austria. I would like to purchase songs, TV shows and movies from the American iTunes Store but cannot because my billing address is from Austria. When I try to buy an item it always tells me you can only buy items from your country store: the Austrian Store. Is there any way I can do this?? I have tried changing the country back to the United States under my "Account Information" but cannot because it is part of the billing address. Anybody have any suggestions?? Thanks.

I have a similiar problem. Moved from the UK to Ireland. Have tried to buy from the UK store but came up with the billing address issues you mentiones. Also tried to use my new address in Ireland but itunes keeps telling me my card is not recognised for ireland, despite being an irish credit card and with an irish billing address

HELP! Unable to move iTunes songs to a new/restored iPhone

I've restored a new 3Gs iPhone from a month old backup of a defunct 3Gs and none of the songs transferred in from my iTunes. I tried manually dragging them but iTunes wouldn't let me! Does anyone know how to fix this??

I tried the MkLink command alone and it told me I needed to add arguments so I know it recognizes the command. I did not try changing the directory syntax. That might have worked.
I found reference elsewhere to junction.exe. I installed Junction.exe on D: and opened a cmd window to d:
I ran the junction program to creat the junction and it worked.

Unable to Import Itunes song :-(

Hi there-
I'm trying to bring a song from my itunes into garage band so i can cut out parts of it, then import it back to itunes. i've done this countless times before, but for some reason, the current song i'm trying will not import! when i drag it into the garage band window, it just goes back to itunes. i've also tried copy/pasting the file, and changing the file from mp3 to aiff.
does anyone have any suggestions about what i might be doing wrong or another way to try importing it? any help would be greatly appreciated! (and i'm not extremely computer literate, so laymen's terms would be appreciated!)

(If it's a $.99 iTunes Store song, it won't import)
See if the song says MP3 instead of mp3. If so, change it to the latter.
Try dragging the song from your Finder, rather than iTunes.

The only thing I did was I went to the Apple.com , logged in and changed my primary e-mail since I will be losing the old email soon ( I have a different job). I said update info and verified the email was correct. I just went to settings on icloud and logged out and tried to log in and now it won't take anything. I don't even know now which e-mail they want the primary one or recovery, it won't take any of the 3. Not sure what else to try at this point, I guess I can't buy any more music.

You cannot and need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if the article doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
Changing the rescue email address requires supplying two of the answers. They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Unable to buy apps or songs

Hello, I am unable to buy apps (even free apps) or any songs/albums/films anything but I have over £30 on my account but its asking me for my bank details and I tried to put my details in and it says it doesn't work. So now that I have done that its still asking me and I cant delete any of the information I put in (which only was my name and a few others) I have had this problem for a good few months now, can anyone help me? thank you.

Unable to download new songs from iTunes

I have iTunes 7.6.2 and when I plug in my iPod I get 'syncing' then 'its ok to disconnect' message and I'm unable to download new songs I just bought. I tried this on 2 computers and the same results. One is running XP Pro SP1 and one is running Vista SP1 and the same issue with both pc's.
Any suggestions?

Itunes let me buy a song, but now wont let me buy anything else. How do I delete the song from my billing receipt so I can start updating my apps again?? PLEASE HELP

I had gotten a gift card with around $20 on it so I decided to buy some songs. I had bought a few, then I bought the last song, and now iTunes wont allow me to update my apps, or let me download any other apps because apparently I have $0 on my card; The weird part about that is it let me keep the song, but wont let me get anything else regardless of the charge. I don't have a credit card myself, so I'm really trying to avoid buying another gift card for one 99 cent song. Does anyone know how to get rid of a song from the billing receipt? If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
