Unable to buy music or iBooks

When trying to buy music or iBooks (even free ones) the price button is ghosted out so can't download.
I can download on my Mac and then the ipad automatically downloads the sone/ book.
Any ideas what I've done wrong?

Are you currently logged in to your account? If not, try to log in first to your account and then check if you're able to see the options to buy, search and access the Mix Radio. To do this, go to Nokia Music > Settings > Account and then proceed in signing in to your account.
By the way, what options can you see in the Nokia Music application? Is it possible for you to provide us a screenshot so we can have a better view of your concern?

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

Unable to buy music???

Alright...so here's the deal. I have gotten a itunes card a acouple months back, Around 7-8 months I believe. I have been fine for a little while, but have stopped buying music because no tracks interest me for a bit. Now there's a song I want to download, so I go buy it. Now, when I buy music, it re-directs me back to the credit/payment page. What is with this? I know I have money on my account, because it displays the amount I have up in the corner, but it won't allow me to buy music because it re-directs me to the same page as if it said I don't have any money. I have only had this money for a couple of months, not 2 years. So I know it has not expired, but why won't it let me buy the music I want?
Please help, and thank you to those who do.

I am unable to buy books on iBooks.

The price shows up and sample shows up, but both buttons are greyed out and do not let me click on them. Why am I being blocked from buying? I live in Canada if that makes a difference?

I have exactly the same issue with iBooks; I have an Apple account in the US but am connecting to iBooks store from Belgium. This works fine for iTunes Store, but iBooks just greys out all prices (even if I have previously purchase books on iBooks).
A workaround is to purchase the books from iTunes on your MAC or PC and then just download them on the iPad. Not very nice to have a non-working iBooks on the iPad, but ... better than nothing.

Unable to purchase music for 6 weeks or more

I've been unable to buy music on the iTunes music storee for weeks now. No matter what I do, any update to my account information there just won't "stick". I keep trying to buy an album, get the billing info dialog, update the billing info and do it over and over and over again. No change.
I sent a support query, but never got a response.
I sure wish someone would respond.

I have been having the same problem, and have gotten several inane responses from the support staff that have not helped one bit. In fact I don't think they even bothered to read the emails they were so off topic.
I just fired off a response an also sent it to several itunes department heads and senior staff - I found their emails in the Corporate information area on the apple site. I also included Job's in the mailing list.
This is a serious problem and their lack of support is astounding.

Can buy music but unable to gift

Please help, I am able to buy apps and music for myself with no issues. I am unable to gift music at all. I have tried three working credit cards all declined repeatedly for gifting but working just fine for buying for myself. I have $30 in apple gift card credit also refused.

This is a common (and very frustrating) issue - you need to contact Customer Support and get them to make an adjustment to your account so that you can purchase gifts.
Of course, it still might not work - they adjusted my account last week and I don't get the credit card declined error anymore, but instead it just says "The iTunes store could not process your request, please try again later."

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

I was about download music when it then asked me for my security questions. The problem for me is that I've never answered these questions ever in my hole apple experience and even if I did, I've 100% completely forgot about them. I then decided to email a link to deactivate my questions however this email from Apple had never come, I'm know left unable to download music, apps, and books.

You need to manage your Apple ID and change your security question there.

TS3354 Running Win7/64 on Mac Pro with Bootcamp, unable to buy iTunes HD movies

ran into issue with Mac Pro tower connected to dual Apple Cinema 23-inch (final generation) displays. Running Win7/64 SP1 under Bootcamp on second HD; running iTunes latest, and unable to buy HD movie from iTunes store even though have latest Bootcamp drivers and Mountain Lion, and monitors connected via Displayport, Apple HD, and video (ATI Radeon 5700 series).
Is this an issue with iTunes not being able to detect the video card or displays under bootcamp in Windows?

Any suggestion would be helpful. I work during day on my Mac Pro, using Win7/64 most of the time; like to buy stuff on iTunes, like music, etc., and then be able to in living room download to also use with Macbook Pro and a Win7/64 HTPC.
Sorry to see such spotty support for iTunes on Windows 7 these days -- granted it's not their main product line, but still.

Just to clarify I am an advanced user going back to Mac SE/30, and so forth.
If you're not running Bootcamp on Windows, on Mac hardware, this discussion won't be of interest to y'all.

as you may or may not know, it doesn't look like the drivers that Apple installs for Windows with bootcamp provides the full control panel, so under the Windows device info all one sees is this:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
Everything works, but there is no Radeon control panel, and no way for Windows to see if its HDCP compliant, even thugh it is.
Sadly Apple doesn't provide a proper "Radeon" control panel for Windows, and I've heard of massive problems installing the defacto ATI Windows driver package on Bootcamp, as it might conflict with Bootcamp's drivers. The ATI site doesn't even have a modern download for Bootcamp ... it's up to Apple to provide.
SO, I guess I was trying to see how one could enable the ability for Windows to "see" the display properties (Apple's drivers recognize it as a cinema display, but that's about it).
iTunes won't allow purchase of the HD version -- it will only allow purchase of the SD version.
Perhaps another person using this kind of set-up might weigh in if they have a chance. Not world ending, just one of the minor annoyances with not having the full dirver control panel on Windows, running on Mac Pro HD.
