Hi All,

The taskflow call is as below:
<af:popup id="servicesPopup" childCreation="deferred"

<af:panelWindow id="pw1" title="Configure Services">

java.lang.IllegalStateException: The expression "#{bindings.servicesBTF2.regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "r2") evaluated to null.
This is typically due to an error in the configuration of the objects referenced by this expression.
If it helps, the expression "#{bindings.servicesBTF2}" evaluates to "null".
If it helps, the expression "#{bindings}" evaluates to "com_syniverse_entprov_iotdms_view_agreementDetailsPageDef". Now using an empty RegionModel instead.

Hi,
I think the error message is clear:
+The expression "#{bindings.servicesBTF2.regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "r2") evaluated to null.+
+This is typically due to an error in the configuration of the objects referenced by this expression.+

+If it helps, the expression "#{bindings}" evaluates to "com_syniverse_entprov_iotdms_view_agreementDetailsPageDef". Now using an empty RegionModel instead.+
Have you checked the configuration in the parent page PageDef file (the page that launches the popup)?

How can I call AM from another page
Hi,
I have come across a situation which I am not sure how to solve it. Here is the issue. I have a custom requirement to add another page to an already existing custom page. The first page used to hold the data and commit buttons however because of requirements, we want users to add some comments on the second page and then save the data. In other words the save button is now suppose to move to the second page.
The dilemma I have is that the method that used to be called from the PFR CO of Page 1 was linked to page 1 AM which had that commit method.
I still want to re-use the method from the Page 1 AM since there is a lot of logic involved. How can I call that method while I am in my second page from my CO?
I am using setForwardURL and I am retaining AM from page 1.
Also, if this is not feasible what are other alternatives. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Edited by: user501998 on Jan 7, 2010 12:21 AMHi,
Can you give me an example? I mean do I just call the AM like in the example below...in my PFR...of Page 2 Controller. I thought this would be giving me an error method not found or something since it would be looking at the AM of my current page. I will try it and see but if there is another syntax can you please provide it.
Thanks
Partial code from PFR of Page 2
public void processFormRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
if(eventName.equals("save"))
if ( respName.endsWith("Admin") )
am.invokeMethod("commitTransaction"); --- This is the AM Method in Page 1...
} else
throw new OAException("Shipper successfully updated.", OAException.CONFIRMATION); -

Per my understanding, you want to call the method through jQuery dynamically, but not just in the page loaded event.
Here is a demo about how to call the page method when there is button clicking, you can take it for a try in your environment to see if this is what you want:

please help me urgent..,i am trying hard for this for a long time...??
Regards,
Akula.
protechsoft systems Pvt.Ltd.
Chennai,India.Akula,
the Reports Server name doesn't need to be mentioned in teh TNSNAMES file anymore. This was required in Reports6i and before. Since Reports9i the architecture has changed and a Report Server can be accessed by its name in teh network. The problem that is reported can be due to uncompiled PLSQL in teh Reports rdf file. If you check the Reports queuemanager (on Windows) or using the Servlet command then you see the detailed error message. If you don't see any error message in teh queuemanager then the Reports module file wasn't found. Make sure that the Reports9i Server has access to this. The Reports9i Server Reports_Path is not set in the registry (as far as I know) but in one of its configuration files.
As a quick test - look for the Reports sample files and add your file to the same directory.

import oracle.apps.fnd.cp.request.ConcurrentRequest;
import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OADBTransaction;
public int submitCPRequest(Number headerId) {
try {
OADBTransaction tx = (OADBTransaction)getDBTransaction();
java.sql.Connection pConncection = tx.getJdbcConnection();
ConcurrentRequest cr = new ConcurrentRequest(pConncection);
String applnName = "PO"; //Application that contains the concurrent program
String cpName = "POXXXX"; //Concurrent program name
String cpDesc = "Concurrent Program Description"; // concurrent Program description
// Pass the Arguments using vector
// Here i have added my parameter headerId to the vector and passed the vector to the concurrent program
Vector cpArgs = new Vector();
cpArgs.addElement(headerId.stringValue());
// Calling the Concurrent Program
int requestId = cr.submitRequest(applnName, cpName, cpDesc, null, false, cpArgs);
tx.commit();
return requestId;
} catch (RequestSubmissionException e) {
OAException oe = new OAException(e.getMessage());
oe.setApplicationModule(this);
throw oe;
Now to go to the Monitoring page.
set the forward url to
String url = "OA.jsp?akRegionCode=FNDCPREQUESTVIEWREGION&akRegionApplicationId=0";
try {
pageContext.setForwardURL(url,
null,OAWebBeanConstants.KEEP_MENU_CONTEXT, null,
params, true,
OAWebBeanConstants.ADD_BREAD_CRUMB_NO,
OAWebBeanConstants.IGNORE_MESSAGES);
catch (Exception e)
throw new OAException("SetDeferredException " +
e.getMessage(),OAException.ERROR);

AJAX calling report from one page to another not Reseting Pagination
I have links on one page that when clicked are calling a report on another page and loading it in a DIV with AJAX. The problem I am having is that the reports on the 2nd page are built dynamicly depending on the link you click. If you are viewing lines 16-30 and go to a report that only has like 5 lines, you get the Need to Reset Pagination error.
Invalid set of rows requested, the source data of the report has been modified.Reset Pagination>
In the htmldb_Get line, I thought you could set it to reset pagination when it fires. The AJAX is below. Does the RP need to be somewere else? or am I just missing something...
function doReport(pC,pM) {
document.getElementById('report_drop').innerHTML = 'Loading Page...';
var tableRow = document.getElementById('reports');
tableRow.style.display = 'block';
var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'RP',2);
get.add('P2_CODE',pC)
get.add('P2_MPC',pM);
gReturn = get.get(null,'<clip>','</clip>');
get = null;
$x('report_drop').innerHTML = gReturn;
init_htmlPPRReport($x('report_drop').getElementsByTagName('DIV')[0].id.replace('report',''));
return;
}So from what I understand the line below should be resetting this
var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'RP',2); Edited by: Matt.Smith on Jul 18, 2011 12:08 PMHi,
Source setting for that form page item P1_COUNTRY is
Source Used:"Only when current value in the session state is null"
Source Type: Static Assignment.Since i build this form along with report.
Is im missing something.

any helpDon't use Java when PL/SQL is perfectly capable of doing the task at hand?
I have an inherent dislike of systems and application that have too many moving parts. Keep the moving parts to a minimum.. and the code is faster, more robust, and a lot easier to read, understand and maintain.
So in that regard, I do not understand what the deal is with utl_dbws and why it could not just use plain vanilla PL/SQL..? But then there are likely Java faithful that proclaims The Religion too when designing PL/SQL interface packages in Oracle... :-(
I've posted an example of how to call a web service using PL/SQL code only, no Java, in {message:id=4205205}. -
How to get the Dynamic UI component value from JSFF page to any managedbean
HI ,
We have list of bean objects in jSF page we are iterating the list of bean using the forEach loop and displaying the value into Input type text (UI component) value filed .
If we try to get the UI component value in Managed bean we are not getting the dynamic values .
The below piece of code used to retrieve the dynamic values from the JSF page doesn't have any form :
UIComponent component = null;
FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
if (facesContext != null) {
UIComponent root = facesContext.getViewRoot();
component = findComponent(root, componentId);
then component type casting to the based on UI component which we trying to access and getting the value as " NULL " ..Please let me know how to get the dynamic values form the JSF ?
Please let me know if any other approach or any changes required on above ?
ThanksHi,
the root problem is this
<h:inputText id="it3" value="#{familyList.ctn}" />
<tr:commandButton text="Save" id="cb3"Note how each row writes to the same managed bean property, thus showing the same data. Instead your managed bean should expose a HashMap property that you then apply values to using a key/value pair. The key could be the ID of the field, which then you also should dynamically define e.g. cb<rowIndx>. The command button could then have a f:attribute assigned that has the row HahMap key as a value. This way you truly create value instances for the object
