Unable to change My BT Logon address

My colleage has changed from Tiscali to BT - generally OK but he seems stuck with emails showing tiscali.co.uk in spite
of the fact that he is now definitely on BT infinity broadband and using BT mail system.
To log into My BT, he has to type a user name ********@tiscali.co.uk and usual password.
He is then into the normal My BT' with the header:
Hi Barrie followed by the correct phone number and correct A/C No.
It also indicates that his email is *********@btinternet.com
He has tried to change his login name from *********@tiscali.co.uk to *********@btinternet.com
but it refuses to change the login name to the ********@btinternet.com because it is already in use
by another Profile ????
He has tried talking to BT (India) and they give the usual platitudes but nothing changes
He receives emails OK addressed to either/both **********@btinternet.com and *********@tiscali.co.uk
but wants to get rid of all references to tiscali on both emails and his My BT login.
Please can one of the UK based experts give us some guidance on how to get things straight.

If you colleague want to change his My BT login name, they would need to create a new MY BT account and then have the old one deleted. I can do this for you. Please get your colleague to send in their details using the "Contact The Mods" link found in my profile.

    If you have given correct info about you ios 6.1.3 - all you need to do is delete account. You will be able to sign in with new one afterwards. Make sure you don't delete any info when you see those prompts.

  • Unable to change the default mail address

    I'm not able to change my default email address in my profile.
    Currently I have one email listed. When I add 1-2 other emails and then wants to change which one to use as default it removes the newly added addresses.
    I have tried just adding one, I have added a new address logged out logged in and tried to chandge default address, have tried adding two and saved, logged out logged in etc.
    Every time it removes the address(es) I've added and resets my default choice to the first one.
    Is this a known problem? Any solutions? Have searched the forum with no luck.

  • SPA8000 - unable to change DCHP LAN options

    I have another problem with my SPA 8000. None of the options in the 'LAN Status' tab are editable.  I can see the DHCP address & the number of client leases, but I can't change anything. I've factory reset the device & am logged in as administrator.

    it looks like that's how the device is designed because i looked at the SPA8000 here and i am unable to change the LAN IP address as well -- it's using firmware 5.1.9 (a)
    i used it as a router which is why i never really checked this feature before

  • I am unable to change or delete my iCloud ID, it is prompting sign in using an old email address that used to be my Apple ID, others have had this same problem but the answer seems to be to delete the iCloud account but I can't do that.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • User Unable to change Ship to address in SC while creating

    Hi All,
    When user is trying to change the ship to address which was defaulted is unable to make change.
    USer is trying to make manual entry in the NAME field change so that the other field would automatically gets changed withrespect to NAME in the SHIP to address tab.
    We have informed user that there exist Find option for other ship to address to choose.
    But user has insisted that it is easier to make manual change in NAME filed of the SHIP to address tab so that evrything should automatcially gets changed ,This will avoid search time .
    All other fields like CC & GL  are able to make change
    Please let me know what needs to be done to change the ship to address.

    I am already changing the UOM in the same include and in the subroutine "USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP".  But it is again over writing in the standard program.  What I need to do, to remain same UOM.

    I checked previous discussions on Address Book problems and there was a suggestion to find Library in GO. I do not see Library when I clicl Go. Can someone advise on this?

    To migrate your data to a new iCloud account go to Settings>iCloud and turn off all synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.), when prompted choose to keep the data on your phone.  After everything is set to off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Next, create the new iCloud account on your phone and turn on syncing for contacts, calendars, etc again.  If prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload your data to the new iCloud account.

    Unable to change my Apple Id fully, the Apple I'd screens still show my old Email address even though my apple email has been changed correctly? This means that when I go to ITunes or try to update my apps the old I'd (email address ) is shown and you cannot change it on these screens. How can this be resolved?

    Does the updated version of your account show in Settings > iTunes & App Stores on the iPad ? If not then try logging out of the account by tapping on that id and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

    I changed my email address and changed my apple id and password, but have been unable to change the icloud id. How?

    If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You should then be able to turn off Find My iPhone with your password. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back and change your primary email address and iCloud ID back to the way it was.  You will then be able to go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current ID and password to reconnect to your iCloud account.
    If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to get them to reset the password for it so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You will have to prove your identity to them in order to do so.  You can either contact iTunes support for assistance with this (https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html), or contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

    attemped instructions in Mountain Lion to change my e mail address to the recommended i cloud.com address.
    The drop down  in the SEND NEW MESSAGES FROM does not have the i cloud e mail option.
    How do I change it??

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
    When you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

  • Unable to change status in messages

    Hey guys,
    Okay, so I am unable to change my status in messages or do anything for that matter.
    My friends messages app looks different then mine and she actually has more options then me. It will not let me set to online status or anything, it's like disabled and I cannot figure it out. Also when I send a message from my mac, it will say my email when my friend recieves the message but then if I send it from my iphone it says my number, so it starts two different conversations.
    This is annoying and when I called tech support they had no idea what I was talking about.

    The new Messages app in Mountain Lion has two aspects. It integrates most of the features of the old iChat program (using AOL and Jabber transport mechanisms among others, which include the concept of on/offline status) with Apple's new iMessage transport mechanism (which doesn't).
    Your phone-to-phone message are probably going through yet a third transport mechanism, SMS. You can set your phone to use iMessage transport to eligible recipients by going to Settings > Messages, turning iMessage to "ON", and including your AppleID (~email address) in "Receive At" along with your phone number.
    We are told that when iOS6 is released this fall it may help combine the multiple conversations. It is not yet clear how.

  • Unable to change apple ID location

    I was trying to make a purchase recently, but a message telling me I needed to update my billing info came up. For some reason, my country is listed as China (I live in Canada, I've never even been to China). I tried changing my country back, but I am unable to. I get to the "choose your country or region" page, and it says "You need a valid method of payment and billing address for a country in which iTunes is available. Please select a country from the lis below. If a country is not listed, it means iTunes is not available in that country yet."
    The problem is, there is no list to choose from. The page is blank, aside from that message. Ive tried restarting my ipad, logging out, but the page is always blank. I'm not even sure how my country was changed from Canada to China in the first place, but now I am unable to change it back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you are doing it via the iTunes & App Store option in Settings, then once you click on your AppleID, and then click on View AppleID>Country/Region>Change Country or Region, then you also need to click on "Store" where it is showing China right now.
    Once you click on "Store" it will then display the list, and you can scroll down to Canada.
    That should fix you up.
    But you are really going to have to do something about that sleepwalking problem!!!

    - How did you dlete stuff from the iPod? If you have a 1G or 2G iPod and deleted the stuff by going to Settings>Genera.>Reset>Erase aall contents and settings without being connected to a power source, the battery dies before he erase was comleted since it can take hour.
    - In any event try the following:
    - Connect to a chaging sour for three hours.
    - Reset the iPod and then connect to the computer and try to restore va iTunes.
    Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next try placing the iPod in recovery moe and then try to restore. For recovery mode:
    iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
    - Last try DFU made and restore.

  • I have two Apple ID's attached to my iPad and I'm unable to change one

    I wanted change my Apple ID username and email address but Apple makes me create a new ID because I can't change my username, so I created a new Apple ID. When I added it to the iPad, I didn't reallize it would make it an additional ID instead of just switch me over, so now I have apps I can't update or remove without signing into the old Apple ID. How do I move the apps over to the new ID? I don't want to keep getting prompted to sign into the old one.
    Also, I'm unable to change my email address on Apple's site. I go into Account and edit where it shows my email, but it just asks my security questions and makes me submit my credit card's Security Code (what?!) even though I'm not making a purchase, and there was no option to update the email address! This has really been the most difficult experience I've had trying to change an email address and it's really easy in Android Market.

    Apparently this was too long for anybody to read so I'll just leave a nice little two-sentence question.

    Apple IDs never go away, so it still exists.
    But lets be clear. You actually stopped using an Apple ID and created a NEW Apple ID. You didn't just change the email address of your Apple ID? That means that all of the music and apps purchased with the old Apple ID will have to be purchased again.
    If you really did create a new Apple ID you will need the password associated with the old one to disable Activation Lock. There is no way around this. As I said, the old one still exists. You can use the standard tools to recover the password at https://appleid.apple.com.
