Hi,
Some of my reports in BO11 have the check box for 'When viewing report' under Process -> Database grayed out, what's the reason and how can I change it ?
I'm logging in as Administrator and have all permissions granted.

  • Is there I way I can reload the google calendar as I am unable to change the views or go forward or backward by weeks.

Is there a way to reload the Google Calendar program on my laptop? Currently, I am unable to change the views. It is always on the current week. I cannot get the daily view either. Thanks!!

This would not seem to be an Apple issue at all, much less for Apple Remote Desktop. These forums cannot help you with setting up Google Calendar on a Windows system. Perhaps you would be better served by taking your question to a forum related to Google's apps or at least a Windows forum.
Or did you just forget to include details about what computer you're actually asking about?

  • When Exporting a Crystal Report to Excel format all of the dates get changed when viewed on Mac version of Excel

We're using Crystal Reports 10 and when we export a report from the Crystal Viewer using either the MS Excel 97-2000 option or the MS Excel 97-2000 (Data Only) option, the date columns on the report appear as expected on a PC version of Excel, however, most of the users at our company use Macs so when they open the same report on the Mac version of Excel all of the dates show up as 2011 or 2012 dates eventhough they are suppose to be 2008 dates. We've tried to just open the report after the export process and then do a "Save As" but get the same result. The date columns all appear to be formatted as Date. The dates on the Crystal Viewer appear as expected when viewed on a Mac. The users are running Excel for Mac OS-X Service Release 1.0. Any idea why this may be happening and is there a solution to this problem? Thanks!

    Hi,
To clarify, are you currently using the Mac version of Crystal Reports Viewer 2008 which you downloaded from here?: http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/sme/reporting/viewer/index.epx

  • Users unable to change their interactive reports

What tables and fields control what user can change the report? a bit of history: Due to the terrible bug that plauges apex where user created interactive reports dont get promoted with code changes when promoting from dev to prod environments, we had to figure out a work around so that the users tabs and filters would show up. Now, several weeks after fixing this in the main table(APEX_030200.WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_RPTS), the users are now trying to modify the reports but apex just gives the spinng/hourglass when the user clicked the update/save button and it never comes back. Down at the bottom in of the screen apex reports that "error on page". Thats all we have to troubleshoot as far as feedback error messages.
We have a work around where the user makes changes to their report and then saves it as a different name(they've been adding a "1" on the end). This workaround is making them upset and I suspect its just a flag in some table's field that needs changing. Anyone know/experience this from the install/report bug?
    Thanks,
    Dave

I am running into almost the exact problem. My version is that there is one eul default for every user and no matter how many they have access to, the tools\options\eul tab does not allow them to change the eul. I am still searching for an answer if I find something I will post it for you.
    Thanks,

  • Parameters Unslesct when view report button is pressed

<p>Greetings!,</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; I'm experiencing a very odd issue with my report. I've created a report that has 3 multi value drop down lists (Location, Program, and Class Standing). I've built all 3 using the same format and
procedures but when I click on select all within all 3 of the parameters and press the View Report button Class Standing and Location unselect all and I'm unable to run the report.</p><p>Has anyone experienced anything like this before??</p><p><span
    class="t-marker"></span><span class="t-marker"></span></p>

    Hi Solo01,
According to your description, when clicking on "Select All", some parameter became unselected. Right?
In this scenario, this issue happens when it has space/enter character within parameter. You need to replace them when creating DataSet. Please refer to a similar thread below:

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • Garbage text when viewing reports

    Post Author: icecroft
    CA Forum: General
    Hello everyone!
Is there anyone here who has encountered this error? When running any Crystal Report, our client gets garbage text as a report output. The weird thing is, when this report is exported to PDF, the output is perfectly fine. They are currently running on Windows XP and uses Crystal Report 10.
If it helps, here's a screenshot of the report with garbage text:
I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me with this.
    Thanks a lot!!!

The basic flow is this, for the situation in which I'm seeing this issue.
This is a desktop application using an Access database as its data store, with a button that allows the user to view a Crystal Report containing all of the data that's in the screen.
When the user clicks on the button to view the report, the application does the following:
    - Builds up a DataRow containing all of the data representing the current 'item' being viewed in the application
    - Inserts the row into the Access database using the DataSet / TableAdapter (creates a new database connection each time)
    - Creates a new instance of the Crystal Report class to be viewed
    - set the database connection info in the report to the access database being used by the application
    - create a new form containing a CrystalReportViewer control
    - set the ReportSource of the control to the instance of the Crystal Report created above
    - show the form / CrystalReportViewer control.
That what you were looking for?

  • Unable to generate Power View report out of Multidimensional report data source

    Hi,
I have created 'Report Data Source' connection to point to Multidimensional cube on Share Point site. But when I try to create a new Power View report out of it, I get following error message :
"An error occured while loading the model for the item or data source 'http://*********/PowerPivot Gallery/TestCube.rsds'. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permission to access the data source."
I can see following message in the <moreInformation> section :
<Source>Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services</Source><Message>Errors in the metadata manager. The current model can only be expressed when the client is requesting tabular view metadata with VERSION restriction of 2.0 or later.</Message>
Following are the System configurations :
    1) SSAS : SQL Server 2012 + SP2 (version 11.0.5058)
    2) Share Point 2013
As mentioned in one of the MSDN documents this configuration supports creation of Power View reports on multidimensional cube.
Can any one suggest what might be the issue?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Dipti,
According to your description, you get the connection failure when creating a power view report, and it throws information "Errors in the metadata manager. The current model can only be expressed when the client is requesting tabular view metadata with
VERSION restriction of 2.0 or later." Right?
Based on the error message, the issue should be the SSRS on sharepoint metadata version mismatch when sending to SSAS. There's someone mentioned in a similar thread that this issue can be solved by installing the full package of CU4 for SP1.
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/133558cd-ffc8-4608-ae45-fdff01770c6d/powerview-sql-2012-sp1-cu4-cannot-connect-to-dimensional-metadata-version-11?forum=sqlreportingservices
Even you already have SP2 installed, it supposed included CU1~CU9 for SP1. However, it has reported that SP2 doesn't fix all bugs which supposed to be fixed in CU for SP1.
SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 2 is available - but there's a catch!
So please re-install the full CU4 for SP1, restart the services and try again.

  • DPM 2010 - Getting errors when viewing reports

    Microsoft DPM Forum,
I am getting the following error when attempting to view reports in DPM 2010:
An error occurred during client rendering.
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Cannot create a connection to data source 'DLS'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection)
Cannot open database "DPMDB" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'servername\DPMR$servername'.
This is occurring after I rebuilt the OS on the DPM server to resolve a "tape system disconnect" issue that plagued us since November of 2013.
Any idea how to resolve this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joe

    Mike,
Thank you for that post.  Yes, I saw that while I was researching a possible solution to the problem.  No dice.  However, I reached out to Prosenjit Kanjilal of the Microsoft DPM Support Team (as he was emailing me on our re-occurring issue
of Event ID: 15 errors - see other thread).  He had me do the following:
Open SQL Studio and connect to the instance
    Go to Security->Logins
Now Add 'servername\DPMR$servername' if it is not already added
I also had to add the
dbowner role to the DPMDB database under 'user mapping' for this specific user to actually resolve the issue.  The user wasn't listed in the Logins in SQL Studio.
    Thanks again!

  • Error when viewing report Only when records returned.

We have a strange situtation in that when we view a particular report it errors out when viewing ONLY when there are records returned. To make matters worse this report takes several parameters, and only on one parameter does this occur. That is say we have param1, param2, param3, param4. if we fill in parameters and param3 has a value of "value1" and it returns results we are fine. The same happens for our second value ("value2"), however when we make param3's value "Value2" and it returns results the report throws an error 73. The stack trace is below. Any ideas on this one? It is really throwing me since it is only for one value of the parameter that we get the error.

Now that you've mentioned stored procs - does the stored proc handle params set to null?
I've seen issues where on verify Crystal sends null param values to stored proc, and if the stored proc doesn't handle them (or return a consistent schema), errors out.
Above in case you'd like to revisit the issue or if you encounter the issue again.

  • Inernet Explorer error when setting report options to xml

I get an error message stating that I need ot upgrade my ie to version 6 when I try to set reporting options to xml.  The ie version on the PC is 6.0.2900.2180....
    Has anyone had this problem?

    Anand,
    thanks for the help.
Regarding your questions, I found the key to be missing on 3 computers.  One was a Dell Laptop with factory installed XP pro and the other 2 were Stealth computers (rack mount) also with XP pro from the factory.
The computeres are on our network and get updates regularly, so I do not know if the updates had anything to do with the problem.

  • Persistent prompt date format changes when reopening report in Webi

    Hi all
I have a PERISTENT prompt that asks for a date when you run the report. The format is "MM/dd/yyyy". I also have a variable that displays this value in the form:
    =ToDate(UserResponse([Query 1];"Please enter date:");"MM/dd/yyyy")
When the report is run the prompt works and you select the date from the calendar and all works fine. You can refresh the report and keep the persistent date prompt value if you like. Great.
The problem comes when the report is saved and then reopened for modifying.
On my report I get #ERROR associated with the above variable. This is because the peristent value in the prompt has been "re-loaded" in the format "MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss a".
The only way I have found to resolve this is to refresh the report and reselect a date which makes the persistent prompt kind of useless if you close the report.
Any suggestions on solving this would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sharon

    Sharon,
The problem comes when the report is saved and then reopened for modifying.
When opening the report in something other than modify, does the problem also occur?  I too have noticed different behavior with persistent date prompts and whether running in modify or Infoview modes.  Most deployments do not give their users the ability to run a public report in modify mode (though, possibly they could copy it to their own Favorites and run it in modify mode there).  So perhaps this "problem" is by design and is resolved by running the report in the more common Infoview mode?
    Thanks,
    John

  • Crystal Reports Causes Application to Hang in crpe32.dll When Viewing Report

    All,
We have a C# Winform Application that uses Crystal Reports 13.0.9.  In production, our application is intermittently hanging. The crash dump analysis indicates that a Crystal Reports assembly is causing blocked threads (i.e. deadlock).  The results of crash dump analysis from two different workstations and diagnostic information about one of the affected machines is included below.
When this error occurs, the users are simply trying to view the report.  The database is SQL Server 2012 Express but, the report does not pull data from the database.  Rather, data is pushed to the report via DataSet and Adapter.  The Crystal Runtime is physically installed on the machine (i.e. they are not using a report server).  Unfortunately, our QA and development teams are unable to reproduce this issue in their respective environments.  We have many other users of this application and version of Crystal Reports.  And, this seems to be the only isolated case where the application hangs on the Crystal DLLs.
Can someone please provide advice and/or feedback on how to interpret and/or further analyze the information in the dump analysis for troubleshooting purposes.  I apologize for putting the dump analysis and diagnostic information in a code block but, it was the only way I could post the information without errors.

    Hi Aaaron
    This will be one of those; "works here, not there, what's the diff?". E.g.;
    OS?
    Load?
Runtime - CR, DB clinet, VC++ and other.
    Printer drivers(?)
If this is a 32 bit app, use the Modules utility to compare the runtime on a working computer and one that does not work. When doing the comparisons, look at the CR runtime, the db runtime, the VC++ runtime and any other runtime differences.
Since you are using MS SQL 2012, ensure that the SQL Native 11 client is installed.
Re. printer drivers, check to see that you are using the latest updates for what ever printer is default or used by the reports. Also, make sure the printer driver is designed for the OS.
Oh. One more thing. You can attach files here; just click on the "Use advanced editor" link. You will have to rename the file to .txt, then attach. Just sayin - that way you don't have to copy paste

  • Problem with "Uncommited changes" when viewing certain rows in detail group

    Hi Guys,
When I try to view an row in a detail group I get a popup box saying that there's uncommitted changes. This will happen even when there's no changes in the master group. It will also happen for all rows in the detail group except for the first row listed.
    e.g.:
    Master Group is department
    Detail group is employees
    The detail group will display:
    Employee 1
    Employee 2
    Employee 3...
If I select to view the details for employee 1 it will go to the form view without any problems, if I select any other row (2,3,4..) I get a popup box warning that there's uncommitted changes on the current page.
If I go into the form view of employee 3 (confirming that there's uncommitted changes on the current page as I do) and then use the breadcrumbs to go back to the department screen then Employee 3 is the only detail group row I can go into without getting the uncommitted changes popup.
How is it possible that different rows in a detail group can cause this popup to happen?
    I am using JDev 10.1.3.2
and the pages where generated by JHS 10.1.2.26
Is it possible that when the radio button that is used to select a detail group is changed that this is showing up as an uncommitted change in the javascript?
I need a fix for this urgently so a fast response would be greatly appreciated
    Bar

Im using a custom method to stack the detail groups and Im missing the line that adds the radio button to the ignore list:
    #if (${JHS.service.generateJavaScript})
    <afh:script text="addToIgnoreChangedFields(['${group.name}:${group.name}Table:selected']);" id="${group.shortName}IgnoreChangedFields"/>
    #end
is there a certain place to add this in the template?

  • After copying a file from NTFS to HFS volume, file size changed when viewing in Windows

    Hi guys,
I have a Mac Air running Mavericks on a HFS partition and Windows 7 on a BOOTCAMP NTFS partition. I have some files that I want to read/write from/to both systems. Since OS X can't write NTFS and Windows can't write HFS either, and I don't want to use any 3rd-party tools/drivers, I have to adopt a "stupid" way: in OS X, I copy those files from NTFS to its HFS partition, make changes, then switch to Windows and sync them back to NTFS.
The problem is, after I copied a file from NTFS to HFS in OS X, it seemed ok. But when I switched to Windows, the very copied file in HFS partition had its size changed (bigger) although I didn't make any changes to it in OS X yet. This happens to almost every file I copied, text and binary. For those text files, I tried to open it with EditPlus in Windows and EditPlus reports the correct size on the status bar.
    How could this happen?

I am not sure if this is what your seeing but...
The same unaltered file on two different volumes might use different amounts of disk space. This is because a 'disk' is divided in to 'blocks' and a block (also historically known as a 'sector') is a certain minimum size. So if disk-1 has a block size of 512 bytes and disk-2 has a block size of 1024 bytes then a file containing just 10 bytes will use up twice as much space on disk-2 as disk-1 even though it is the exact same file.
Beyond that, Macs can add additional information like Spotlight tags, labels, icons, etc. which make a file bigger. If you are modifying a file then presumably that also implies adding additional content e.g. for a Word document more text and this will make it bigger. Also depending on some programs are configured or designed 'deleting' text may only mark it as deleted and not really delete. This can apply to older versions of Word which has a 'Fast Save' feature, new versions have removed this and do a proper delete.
You would have to give more details like what you are doing to the document, what kind of document, and what the two sizes are.
Finally, there is one other potential difference, some systems and manufacturers use 1024 as a unit for measuring file and disk sizes, some use 1000. It will be the same number of bytes in each case but 1000 bytes in one case would exactly equal 1MB, and in the other it would be 0.9765MB.

  • PDF Fonts change when viewed in Adobe Reader

I'm producing a PDF which will be viewed online. It's being creating in Pages 09 and I export it to PDF.
In Preview the PDF is fine - no problems. But when I view it in Adobe Reader the fonts have changed. I've tried all the fonts listed in the Font collection "PDF" and most recommended for Web.
Just to give you a couple of examples Times becomes blurry in Reader, while Helvetica looks more like Verdana.
I didn't have this problem prior to upgrading to Snow Leopard. I'd really appreciate if anyone could help with this. Thanks.

Peter, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner than this, I've been away from my Mac since I posted this.
Thank you for your very kind offer to look at the files for me. In between time a friend has been over and apparently altered some settings on my iMac and the problem seems to have been resolved. (I hope!)
Thanks again - I daresay I'll be back with more questions before long...
