Unable to check-in excel file correctly

Hi,
I checked-in a spreadsheet(.xls) to cs as type 'Document - Any generic document',and I was able to check-in but I faced below issue.
The document was not searchable. When I checked-in the .xls file, the document went to GenWWW status, I resubmitted it from repository browser, and it showed me the following error:
Indexing aborted. unable to index metadata only. This may indicate the collection is damaged.
I noticed that the web location was pointing to an error page in cs.
So, can anyone please help me with checking-in an excel file into cs? Why is this issue coming up?
Even when i checked-in a .csv format file, the document was not searchable.
Note: We have IBR disabled in our system as we don't use it, still other some files(.xml etc) also get stuck in Genwww status and remain there till they are resubmitted. That's also another issue.

It looks to be a case of indexer problem on your UCM environment . Enable indexer* tracing with full verbose and capture server output with a new excel file check-in .

Click on the hard drive on the desktop, then File > Get Info. What does it say about permissions? If this is just a data drive you may want to consider "ignore ownership on this volume".
Otherwise I can only say I have not been reading good things about Seagate drives recently. I have some of their rock-solid ones from about 10 years ago (still running well), but now...?

Unable to open xls (Excel) file in Number

I just purchsed Number to open excel file in my Imac but after install try to open. it's say "can't be open"
can anyone help me bcz i'm new to imac so tel me know how i can open it... if i can't i want refund bcz not worth for me...

This probably isn't overly helpful, but I just tried using the same version of the Lync 2013 Planning Tool as you and am not having any issues.
What happens if you try and re-save the topology as a new file?

Unable to open emailed Excel files

my excel files change to XLS and can't be opened by the receipient when I email them, I have to send it to my pc at work, open it as excel from the list of applications, save it as an excel file and email it from work which is highly frustrating. I've heard it might be something to do with the recent purchase of Snow Leopard, Would be grateful for any help.

Actually Microsoft Excel has changed formatting. You have several options of upgrading to a more compatible Excel or equivalent*:

2007 was the big changeover. So if you are using an old Excel, you probably will run into problems. Using the Compress command on files stored on the Mac, Winzip on files on the PC will make them more portable for e-mail. Just use normal compression. Not all decompression engines have encrypted Zip file support, or 9x compresison support. On the Mac, add the paperclip icon to your compose new message toolbar via the View menu -> Customize toolbar. This will bring up a dialog with a Save Windows Friendly attachment when you send a message, so it is more portable for Windows. Use an anti-virus tool on both sides, as Macs aren't succeptable to Windows viruses, and can carry them back to Windows users. And there is this recent malware attack:

Unable to check in .sda file for ess in the track for NWDI

Hi Gurus;
We have created the track and added the three dependencies along with PCUI_GP.We have imported these into the track.
However after placing the .sda file for ess under Jtrans/CMS/Inbox folder and adding it as software component to the track through Landscape Configurator we are unable to get the ess component under the checkin tab of the track in CMS. Please suggest why this is happening?

Please check n verify location of the inbox folder when you click on checkin tab.

"Unable to Check Out File Error" Message

I'm new to using Adobe products, so forgive me if this is a dumb question! My graphic designer sent me a INDD file to edit the text in and when I try to open it in both InDesign and InCopy, I receive an "Unable to Check Out this File" error message. I just downloaded InDesign CC and InCopy CC (the free trial versions). She said that all settings on her end should allow me to view it. Any help is much appreciated!

I've just experienced the same error message in CS4. I got rid of it by going to the Links panel, selecting all the links to Incopy, and Unlinking.

Unable to open excel file in document list

I have an excel workbook that reads from several SharePoint lists. I have a group of users (5 to be exact) that are unable to open the excel file when its in the document list, however, when I email them the workbook they can open it and update the pivot
tables on it (that read from several lists). They were able to open the file in the past and this issue started around 6/20 when office updates were pushed out.
When they open it they get the following error message:
Excel Web Access please contact your admin.
The document list has 20 excel workbooks in it and they can open the other 19 without any issues and 5 of them including the one they can't open connect to the same lists for data. I even created a test doc library and added the file into it and they
got the same error message.
What could be causing this?
note: we not using excel web services, just uploading workbooks where some connect to lists for data

Are you opening file in browser? if so please try to open in client by changing the library settings-->advanced settings-->then set client.
Another thing, what permission are given to both users. Try to provide some higher permission and see the result.

Unable to open excel files from yahoo mail

I am unable to open an excel file in Yahoo! Mail (sent from PC) to my iMac. My iMac has the MS Office suite too. Any suggestions?

Does not allow to open when on desk top. I took picture and Movie when i first got my iPhone5 and i have iphoto and iMovie 2008 they say ilife 11 is and upgrade. when i transfered pictures to start with to my iPhoto i had to inport them to iMove inorder to watch them. then when i messed around and added more shots and deleted some some went missing and to totally delet the whole bunch of photos and the movies My iMac made a folder in my Finder and drug and dropped and trashed my project that way. Three short movies went missing that i was looking to watch and they never showed back up. Today i started trying things in the New Yahoo.com Mail Applicatins Attachments and there were the three Items and the Mail Attachments page does not offer a Choice or deleting attachments. Does Icloud save a few pictures and a movie or two for security reasons? I tried Google answers to get my Yahoo front page restored so i do not have to use the Everything page and it was a Conection doctor and he or it wanted $38.00 I am not to sure i want to waste grocery money, Hard times!

                  TRANSFER t_output1 TO w_filename.

         CLOSE DATASET w_filename.
I am unable to check whether a file with the same name exists or not. How to check the duplicate state of the file.

You can use the following fm
RZL_READ_FILE
or
use OPEN DATASET FOR INPUT.

To upload a excel file to dB table through webdynpro ABAP

    I am unable to upload a excel file directly by using func module   "HR_KR_XSTRING_TO_STRING".
    If file is in tab delimited then only, I am able to upload.

"Unable to check out" error message in CS4

I have InDesign CS4, but do not have InCopy. When I exported an InDesign CS4 file to CS3 interchange format, and then tried to edit the orginal file, I got an error message saying: "Unable to check out this file. It may be in use by someone else." From reading the documentation, it appears that I inadvertently engaged a feature of InCopy, but when I go to the Edit->InCopy menu, the option to check the file back in is greyed out. How do I check the file back in so that I can edit it?

Problem in Attachning an Excel File in Email

Hello Everyone,
I have a problem which sends an email containing an excel as an attachment. However, if I check the excel file in the email, the filename is not properly defined, and there is an error stating that the format is not recognizable in excel format.
I am using the function module SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.

A SAP mail is a mail internal to the SAP system. It is a very good forum to exchange information with other users. Using a SAP mail in ABAP code facilitates exchange of automatic messages at various stages of the business process. Parameter_error     Invalid combination of parameter values transferred to FM
X_error     Internal error occurred
Once all the parameters and table interfaces are properly filled, call the function module to send the SAP mail to the recipient inbox.
Care should be taken to report the status of execution of the function module to the user using one of the exceptions defined (refer function module pattern above)
Though SAP mail is a very robust method of interacting with users within SAP system, it is always good to receive email in Microsoft inbox. This also works like an additional notification to users in case they do not check SAP mail regularly. The next article covers sending E-mails using ABAP.
