Unable to check page in

I have a page checked out and have made some changes but DW
CS3 refuses to check the page back in. It does nothing when I
select the command.
Do I need to reinstall DW CS3 or is there another fix?

I am getting this same error in SharePoint Server 2013 when creating new publishing pages with a custom Page Layout created using Design Manager. The page uses a custom Content Type isth a required column of "News Type" which I suspect is at the root.
The workaround is to Check In the newly Created page before adding any content, then check it out again. why you cannot check it in after adding any more information than the Name is a mystery.

Why do I get the error message "unable to load page (HTTP 502) when I try to open Mobile Web?

I have an LG Octane 3 basic phone.   Does everything I need, phone and text, and I never was interested in web or e-mail capabilities until I recently upgraded our plan to the "More Everything" and was able to use data and check e-mail and access the internet.   Whenever I try to open Mobile Web, I get the error message "unable to load page (HTTP 502)".    As of March 31, 2015, all of us basic phone users lose the "Mobile Email" app on our phones, and will have to access web versions of our e-mail via the web. Which is currently unavailable and doesn't work.
Over a week ago, did a chat session with a tech support rep, and she indicated that either she or an engineer would contact me with how to fix the problem.   Have not heard anything from anybody, and the deadline is approaching quickly.   Have no need of all the excess features of a smart phone, nor do I wish to be forced to jettison a perfectly working phone for my needs and buy something I don't want to be able to do 2 simple things.............check e-mail to see if there's something that needs to be answered right away, and to check traffic reports when I'm on the road, or find something in an area with which I'm not familiar.     Not really too much to ask, you would think....   )
Has anyone else had this same problem, and if so, how do we fix it....??? My next move is a phone call, but those haven't always been very productive.
If any of you have any ideas why this error keeps coming up and the web can't load, and some on how to fix it, I would really appreciate some advice.

Since the chat session got no reply, I contacted Verizon by phone and a very nice level 2 tech created a trouble ticket and sent it up the food chain. Got a call back, maybe 2 days later, and had a nice, although very long session with a higher level tech. They had determined that the browser for the LG Octane is an old one and no longer supported by Verizon.    We tried everything we could to download the Opera browser, but since I was totally unable to get Mobile Web to work, couldn't do it.   The only other possible "fix" was to totally reset the phone to factory specs and try it again.   That would mean a lot of work on my part to move anything I didn't want to disappear off the phone, and find a place to forward texts that had to be saved.   Caught our tenants lying about why the rent was late (again), and need that for when I put them back on a lease....
Long story short is that unless we try this total reset, which isn't a sure fix, either, anyone who isn't able to access the Mobile Web with the LG Octane will have to change their plan to avoid paying for data that you can't access using any method.
I ran a test with an app that I knew was no longer valid.....that was sending photos to PixPlace.   Got the exact same error message as when trying to access Mobile Web to get the web version of my e-mail.   That just verified that the 502 error is, at least in the LG Octane, for an app that no longer works.   After today, we'll get the same thing when we try to access Mobile E-Mail.
Have to admit, it's a real ****-off, but this shouldn't surprise me, since Verizon won't repair older copper phone lines if you are in an area where FIOS is offered.
I am going to immediately change my husband's and my cell phone plan to one without data, and see what I can find that will still give unlimited calls and text. The way my luck runs, they won't offer one for a decent price. The other half has some very long-winded friends and he was always running over minutes, and some months are very text-heavy and I'd go over my limit.   Absolutely HATE touch screens, and am not looking forward to having to get a new phone.

Alessandro, I'm experiencing almost the same kind of error as described before. However, in my case trx SLDCHECK (executed from the XI server and from the SAP application system) also generates errors. The error Im getting is as follows:
Testing SLD API
An exception has ocurred
Description: Exception in SLD Client: AbapaSLDRequestHandler.ping() server connection *** failed ***
Summary: Connection to SLD does not work
=> Check SLD function and configurations
I have to say that the SLD home page from Integration Builder works correctly and when SLDCHECK is executed the browser opens the correct url and loads the page.
I have followed all congiguration steps (maintain SLD details with trx SLDAPICUST, maintain HTTP and TCP/IP destinations, activate XI services, etc..) mentioned in the SAP documentation, however the problem persists.

Client unable to check-in

I suspect I have a certification problem though
- before the client installation, I copied the certification file ESM-MS.cer into the same folder containing SETUP.EXE (as recommended by the installation guide at page 58)
- I imported ESM-MS.cer (and ESM-DS.cer, too) into Internet Explorer and therefore it can display the page https://fules/authenticationserver/userservice.asmx without any certificate warnings
Any ideas?

I am unable to control page up and page down keys in JdbTextField if I press these keys in that field, above that I have one table(jdbTable) the focus going to the table through the rows and when I page up/down.

If you close all the windows and quit word, next time you restart, DO NOT check "Reopen windows on login".
Also, check your login items for your user account.

Cannot download songs - Unable to check for purchases...

Hello everybody,
This week-end I tried to upgrade my library to iTunes Plus. Everything went fine.
But the problem is that I have 228 files to download, and I cannot do it, because iTunes tries to check for purchases... and then it stops by saying that it was unable to check for purchases.
I can connect to iTunes Stores, I can check my account, I can see all purchases I've done since the beginning of my account, I can do everything!
Except that iTunes does not allow me to download my files...
I have checked on my Mac OS X 10.5 iTunes... and in a Windows XP iTunes.
It's the same story.
I have put the topic on Windows, but Mac/Windows... same problem for me now...
Do you have any idea what is wrong? I suppose since Apple is doing many maintenance... they could have some issue with the Purchasing server.
Can you buy and download songs? Am I the only one with this problem?
Just to inform you, I've read all the info and contacted the Apple tech support, and except giving me all sort of "not usefull" tips like firewall check/download accelerator removal (which I don't have). Checking for error codes (I have no error code, just that he cannot check the purchasing server), ... and check the internet connection (which works for EVERYTHING except for this purchasing server!).
So any help would be great!

I have a hunch it is something wrong on Apple's end with having 200+ downloads queued. Some other folks with hundreds of DLs were having this same problem.
What I would do, is contact iTS support and ask them to clear your DL queue so you can have fewer DLs wiating in line. THen when you get the first batch, go on to the 2nd batch.
The magic number mentioned in the other thread seemed to be 69 DLs....you could try searching for it.

Unable to check for available downloads. The network connection timed out.

I downloaded iTunes 10.1.2 last week, and attempted to upgrade some music to iTunes Plus. I'm showing 35 items in my download queue, but when I attempt to download I get a message "Unable to check for available downloads. Network connection timed out."
I e-mailed Apple Tech Support multiple times, and received their standard list of links for things to try. So far I have reinstalled iTunes, turned off my Norton Firewall, checked the program rules settings, flushed the dns cache, and unchecked the "allow simultaneous downloads" box. Still no luck.
Apple's last e-mail requested I send them my account info so they could reset my password, and check my system. I'm still waiting for that to happen.
I'd appreciate any user suggestions for this problem.

Fundamentally it is an apple itunes server issue - if you have a lot of downloads the "check for downloads" request can take longer than the default windows internet connection timeout setting - which is 30 seconds on more recent versions of windows.
You can work around it though - without requiring apple to "segment" your download list, by adding a windows registry setting.
Apple re-enabled my downloads after I was burgled and then I was stuck - my "check for downloads" was always timing out - and the support guy had no clue - so I went digging, and found a a microsoft article here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/181050 which tells you how to change change that default timout value by adding a registry setting. Besides adding the ReceiveTimeout setting detailed on that page - I also changed the KeepAliveTimeout - just in case.

which I set to 180000 milliseconds (3 mins)

Use regedit to make the change - both settings are DWORDS with decimal values. You'll need to restart your PC to apply the change.
After the change and restart and one initial failed attempt the request for downloads worked - when the apple itunes server responded after 2 minutes !!

I've already 50 files in queue. Some of those files are 8 months old. And recently I purchased a song (the free ones).
And it said 'Checking for downloads' and then it started giving me this error "Unable to check for available downloads."
I tried to 'Report a problem.' But I can't report to apple either. Whenever I try to do so, I'm taken to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/#itunescards_andcodes rather than this address http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/songcode/
And the new page has no form to fill up! I just can't do anything. Please help me!
PS - I recently updated from iTunes 10 to 10.1.

"Unable to check for available downloads" message - counted download items

I've been trying to download touch upgrade since Wednesday after buying it (shows on account). I am showing that I have 26 downloads. When I repeat trying to upgrade process or attempt downloading the 26 downloads on the download page (bottom, down arrow), I repeated get this message: “Unable to check for available downloads. The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”
I have reinstalled iTunes (downloaded current version, which I already had), I have deauthorized and then re-authorized my computer, I have cold booted, I have turned of firewall and virus (McAfee). Since I started trying to upgrade, I have purchased a song; it certainly has no trouble finding iTunes available for that purchse! I have run the iTunes diagnostic, and everything passed. I have done everything I know to do except give up.
Help!?

Unable to check hostname

I am running an JAVA Applet which uses JDBC to connect to Oracle. When I open the page which has the applet I get the following JAVA error "com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx[oracle/net/nt/TcpNTAdapter.connect]: Unable to check hostname "server_bob.domain_d4". I'm not sure what is going on but I just changed to a new domain server. This was working fine prior to the conversion. I set my new server up just like the old one. Any ideas?

Did you set the security settings in you applet?
As a test try this:

This should give your app fully access to everything (which is NOT a good idea for anything running in the real world) but it should at least allow you to see if you can connect. If you do then you'll need to hone down the PermissionID to the proper setting for your applet. (Of course this implies you have the MS classes in the classpath).
You should also check the security.policy for you java installation to see if it is even allowed.

Unable to open Pages after new hard drive

I am unable to open pages after recently having to get my hard drive replaced. I have a time machine that I could get the application/files off of, but when I try to open it it comes up with the message:
"Check with the developer to make sure Pages works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to re install the application. Be sure to install updates for the application and MAC OS X"
I have done all the software updates possible for both MAC OS and iworks compatibility, and nothing has worked. I do not have the original CD with me, so I cannot reinstall. Is there any other way to get the working version of the application off of my time machine?

Unable to display page after database clone

We are currently running Application Express 4.02 using Oracle Web Logic on a Suse Linux 11 server. We had a new database set up for APEXPRD port 1542 that was working correctly with application express. We also had a database set up for APEXTST port 1542 (on a different database server). We removed the APEXPRD database from the database server using DBCA and then used OEM to clone the APEXTST instance to the production server. Our new database instance has the name APEXPRD with the port 1542. We have recycled all services on the APEX server but our APEX Production site no longer runs -- just getting unable to display page error 404. We checked our dads.conf file to ensure no changes were needed but everything appears correct there since the database name and port did not change.
Is there anything within the database or any other configuration files that I would need to change to get APEX to work after a database clone?

We got this resolved...We modified the dads.conf file to show the debug information in the browser window. From this we found where our cloned database had no temporary datafile. Once this datafile was created the APEX works correctly.

I may have stumbled upon something that could help. A type of "detour" around the problem.
I just started experiencing this problem a few days ago. Anytime I'd try to download a song/video/movie, I would get the message, "Unable to check for available downloads. The network connection was reset".
So, instead of selecting "Check for Available Downloads" under "Advanced" menu...
I logged into "My Account" page in itunes. If there are available downloads it comes up at the top of the page with the option button "Download Now". When I select that -- it downloads immediately.
Can't promise it will work every time. But it's worked for me so far. Good luck...
