Unable to compile form

Hi,
I need to compile the form JAIREGIM.fmb
I followed the below steps to compile the form but after compiling it is showing the same old compilation date.
cd /apps/visappl/ja/11.5.0/forms/US
export FORMS60_PATH=$FORMS60_PATH:$AU_TOP/forms/US
f60gen Module=JAIREGIM.fmb Userid=apps/systime_cms
Module_Type=FORM batch=yes Output_File=JAIREGIM.fmx
Thanks and Regards
Amith

Hi Hsawwan,
The file JAIREGIM.err still display's the error FRM-10043: Cannot open file
but the form JAIREGIM.fmx display's the current time.
Steps I performed are
1. Logged in as APPLMGR user
2. Run the APPSORA.env environment file.
3. cd /apps/visappl/ja/11.5.0/forms/US
4. export FORMS60_PATH=$FORMS60_PATH:$AU_TOP/forms/US
5. f60gen module="/apps/visappl/au/11.5.0/forms/US/JAIREGIM.fmb" Userid=apps/systime_cms Module_Type=FORM batch=yes output_File=JAIREGIM.fmx
Thanks
Amith

  • Unable to compile form in unix

    Hi All,
    When I am trying to compile a form in unix using the below command:
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/f60gen module=ICQTYUH2.fmb userid=apps/test99 output_file=ICQTYUH2.fmx module_type=form batch=no compile_all=yes
    I am getting the below message and the form is not getting compiled.

    Some additional info I also tried to compile some exisitng forms in the same directroy and those are getting compiled. So then i transfer a compiled form to my harddrive and open it with formbuilder and then save it and ftp it to unix. Again when I try to compile the same form without even making any change I am getting same message.
    So I am suspecting there is something wrong when I am opening and saving the form builder. Can anybody assist me with this problem.
    Thanks.

    I am pretty sure transfer is happening correctly. I am taking care of the binary mode of transfer. Moreover when I transfer an already compiled file from unix and without open it from form builder and save it, I just trasfer it back to the unix box and I am able to compile it.
    Is there any other thought on this.
    Thanks

    Arun,
    Forms 6.0 is not certified with Oracle DB 9i. You need at least Forms 6i patch 10

  • Unable to compile class for JSP

    Please can anyone help me to solve this.
    Actually,this is the condition.
    In my db,there is a table called UserPassword, which has 4
    fields(empNo,UserName,password,level). Now I want to do these things:
    When the user submits the data to create a new account via HTML form, it submits the data to the file called CreateAcc.jsp. In this file it perform some logic,here are they.
    1)To check the empNo,if it is already exist in the DB,
         if empNo =exist then display error.(record already exist)
         if empNo =notexist then do task 2).
    2)check the UserName,if it is already exist in the db,
         if UserName=exist then display error.(because it's a primary key)
         if UserName=notexist then do task 3).
    3)Create a new user account and save it to the db.
    To do these tasks,I never create a new objects for the tasks 1) and 2).
    only for task 3)create an object.
    Is it the right way?
    Here is the file CreateAcc.jsp
    <%@ page language="java" %>
    <%@ page import="core.UserAccManager" %>
    <%@ page import="data.UserPassword" %>
    <jsp:useBean id="UserAccManager" class="core.UserAccManager" scope="session"/>
    <jsp:setProperty name="UserAccManager" property="*"/>
    <jsp:useBean id="UserPassword" class="data.UserPassword" scope="session"/>
    <jsp:setProperty name="UserPassword" property="*"/>
    <%
    String nextPage ="MainForm.jsp";
    if(UserPassword.verifyEmpno()){
         if(UserPassword.verifyUsername()){
              if(UserPassword.createAcc()) nextPage ="MsgAcc.jsp";
          }else{
               nextPage="UserNameExist.jsp";
          else{
              nextPage="UserAccError.jsp";
    %>
    <jsp:forward page="<%=nextPage%>"/>The directory structure:
    UserPassword.java- F:/Project/core/data/UserPassword.java
    UserAccManager.java - F:/Project/core/UserAccManager.java
    Now both are compiling.I put the class files into the TOMCAT,as follows.
    UserAccManager.class - webapps/mySystemName/WEB-INF/classes/core/
    UserPassword.class - webapps/mySystemName/WEB-INF/classes/core/data/

    Then it compile well.I goto the directory to get the .class files.
    But there is only UserPassword.class inside the data folder. There is not
    UserAccManager.class in the core folder.
    Then I try this way,I put my 2 java files in to a new folder,
    F:\SystemName\com
    When I try it that way, but it don't compile.
    javac -classpath . -d . com\*.javaError:com\UserPassword.java:package javax.servlet does not exist

    if you want to know how to declare a package for your classes
    Follow the steps to make your application work
    Make this as the first statement in your DbConnect1 class
    package DbConnect1;
    Compile the class and place the DbConnect1.class file into
    Tomcat/webapps/<yourapplication>\WEB-INF\classes\package\ directory
    for eg : if your package name is test then place the class files under
    Tomcat/webapps/<yourapplication>\WEB-INF\classes\test directory
    This is where Tomcat looks for class files
    If you have any doubts regarding directory dtructure to be followed in Tomcat please refer to some of the example packages under Root directory
    In your JSP say
    page import = packageName. DbConnect1
    -Hope this helps

        public String getEmail() { return email; }

    A very common question. Tomcat dislikes classes which are not packaged. So, add a package statement in your UserBean.java
    package beans; // or something like thatand then place the compiled class file UserBean.class into WEB-INF/classes/beans.
    Put the import statement into the JSP accordingly and try again.

  • :FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.

    I have built a form on my laptop running Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) and runs fine. I started having the message below
    :FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
    when I tried to open this form on another version of Forms running Oracle Developer Suite10g (9.0.4.2.0) on another computer.
    Could this be the reason - non-backward compatibility.
    If this is the reason, Is there a way to around it.
    Many thanks
    cube60

    Yes, you are correct - you cannot create a form in 10.1.2 then try to run it in 9.0.x. There is no way to avoid this.
    In order to go from an older version to a newer version, you must recompile the source code (FMB, MMB, PLL) in the version where you expect to run it. You cannot simply take an FMX file which was created in 9.0.4 and expect it to run in 10.1.2. This would fail. New executables would need to be created using the 10.1.2 compiler.
