Unable to connect as a formal agent to a Response Group after Migration to Lync 2013
We are in the process of migrating our Lync 2010 servers to Lync 2013. Everything seems to go well, but problems started to appear after we migrated the Lync 2010 response groups to Lync 2013. Now only those groups with informal agents work. All the groups
with formal agent, when they try select their group through the web page, they all get the error:
You are not a member of any group. For assistance, contact your support team"
Did anyone experience such an issue ?
Thanks,
Antonio
We had this problem with our recent migration of c. 350 response groups, many of which had formal agent groups. The cause appears to be that after the migration, the formal agent registration screen sees both the 'old' and the 'new' formal agent groups of
which the current user is a member and resolves these to only one entry on the registration screen (which is understandable). But the entry seems to be connected to the 'old' and not the 'new' agent group. We were able to verify this by checking in the old
and new pool database (rgsdyn) and seeing that even after the migration the formal agents were signing in to the old pool and not the new one. One solution is to delete the members from the old formal agent groups so that future registrations are forced to
take place in the new pool database. However, if you do this, bear in mind that if you have to back out the migration, you have to restore these.
We were also had to abandon one migration attempt because of another problem where the migration tool does not support the migration of agents who are defined indirectly in the agent group through a mail distribution group.

NMS-00001: Warning: dbsnmp unable to connect to SNMP master agent
I get the above message as dbsnmp.log every day in my testdb.. wat is the purpose and meaning
oracle_home\network\logHmmmmm.
Using the online error code lookup facility in the Oracle documentation, I see the following:
NMS-00001: Warning: service unable to connect to SNMP master agent.
Cause: An SNMP Master Agent is used to communicate with a third party SNMP monitoring console. The specified service could not contact the SNMP master agent. The master agent supported by Oracle for this platform is not installed, or has not been started. Messages specific to this platform follow.
This is a warning and does not prevent the agent from communicating with the console. If Oracle Enterprise Manager is the only monitoring console accessing this agent, the NMS-00001 error can be considered informational and should be ignored. Configuration of the SNMP Master Agent is not reguired for the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console.
Action: Consult Oracle documentation for your platform; then, make sure that the correct SNMP master agent is installed and started. The SNMP Master Agent and the Oracle Intelligent Agent must be configured correctly before the Oracle Intelligent Agent can communicate over SNMP to the Master Agent.
The Oracle Intelligent Agent needs to be configured. The 7.3.2.x agent required an SNMP.ORA file. All later versions of the Oracle Intelligent Agent are self-configuring and do not reguire the creation of an snmp.ora file.
Solution Explanation
1. The Oracle Intelligent Agent needs to be configured. The 7.3.2.x agent required an SNMP.ORA file. All later versions of the Oracle Intelligent Agent are self-configuring and do not reguire the creation of an snmp.ora file.
2. The SNMP Master Agent needs to be configured and started.
There is even more. Especially in the are of 'how to configure and start'. Can wee look that up for you as well? -

We have Lync 2013, Exchange 2010 and several AD
servers in mixed mode 2003/2008.
All user are unable to see their own profile photo
either in the main Lync window, in the settings or in a chat although other user can see that their photo is there and displaying. The user experiencing the issue can go open Outlook 2013 client and will see their photo displaying correctly in the file menu
(and elsewhere) here.
I have confirmed this happens with any new users I set up as well. We have gone through a fair amount of troubleshooting with other Lync photo issues and simple fixes such as deleting the SIP cache folder etc proves to be ineffective.
Our Cs-ClientPolicy Global is set to websearchonly.
We have "Replicate this attribute to the Global Catalog" set
for the ThumbnailPhoto attribute in AD.
We are also forcing photos from AD only (or no photo) by setting the following:
"Set-CsClientPolicy -Identity PhotosControl -DisplayPhoto
PhotosFromADOnly"
and finally we are importing the photo in ad using this PS command:
"Import-RecipientDataProperty -Identity "Test User"
-Picture -FileData ([Byte[]]$(Get-Content -Path "C:\pictures\testuser.jpg" -Encoding Byte -ReadCount 0))"
The pictures being uploaded are under 10KB in size.
I have followed many threads and will provide any information I can to help find the problem. Thank you in advance.
EDIT: I have also tried the following but with no success: https://knowledge.zomers.eu/misc/Pages/How-to-fix-your-photo-not-showing-up-in-the-Lync-client.aspxHi Jdentremont,
Lync client gets user photos by first querying the Address Book Web Query (ABWQ) service on the server, which is exposed through the Distribution List Expansion web service. The client receives
the image file and then copies it to the user's cache to avoid downloading the image each time it needs to be displayed. The attribute values returned from the query are also stored in the cached Address Book Service entry for the user. The Address Book Service
deletes all cached images every 24 hours, which means that it can take up to 24 hours for new user images to be updated in the cache on the server.
To troubleshoot your problem, please follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to
“X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000” folder. (ABS file share)
You should see some photo files in this folder as the following screenshot.
2. Delete all the files in this folder.
3. On test PC, delete local cache files.
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\[email protected]
4. Sign-in Lync with the test account.
5. Go back to the ABS file share, check if there is any Photo file in the folder.

Eric

Migration to Lync 2013 - Unable to remove 2010 Edge Server
Hi
We did a migration from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013. Everything worked without any problems. But now we are unable to remove the Lync 2010 Edge Pool. Everything has been done according to
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj205369.aspx “Migration from Lync Server 2010 to Lync Server 2013”.
I am able to remove the 2010 Edge pool, but by trying to publish the topology, I receive the following error: “Error: An error occurred: "System.InvalidOperationException" "Cannot publish topology changes. Call orbit still
exists on one or more deleted application servers."
How can I resolve this error?
Regards
PeterHi Peter,
You have to change the Call Park Destination FQDN to the Lync 2013 Pool.
Please check out the following article.

Unable to connect to internal SSL sites with unknown CA's after 36.0 update.
Last week my browser auto-updated to version 36.0 and I am now no longer able to connect to certain internal corporate websites. These sites either have self-signed certs, or certs signed by an internal CA. They do not use certs signed by publicly known "trusted" CA's.
For example, one of the errors that I receive is below:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to [HOST]:[PORT]. SSL peer rejected a handshake message for unacceptable content. (Error code: ssl_error_illegal_parameter_alert)
Although a warning message is received in IE or Chrome we are given the option to proceed and the site opens correctly, despite those browsers also indicating that the servers cert is not trusted.
I have added the internal CA's cert to the Authorities tab in the Firefox Certificate Manager, but am still not able to connect to the internal site.
Firefox allows me to accept some incorrect certs (or at least it did in the past), why is this not the default behavior with *all* certificate related problems? I realize that there are malicious sites out there, but there are also internal ones that are being blocked as well. Is there a config option that can be set so a user is prompted for all cert errors and they can decide to proceed if desired instead of just being blocked from the site? I understand blocking by default, but there also needs to be a way to proceed for advanced users.
Are there any configuration options to loosen the cert standards for sites? All other sites seem to load properly and otherwise there are no problems with the browser.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, I wasn't sure where to.
Thanks for any assistance!

I had already set the tls.security.version.min to 0, so would have expected to be able to connect.
At this point it seems like the problem is that we are using an internal CA to sign the cert for this server, but Firefox won't allow me to proceed despite this. Is there an option that I can set to have firefox prompt on all certificate issues and give me the option to proceed anyways?
Any other thoughts/suggestions? -
Unable to connect TFS 2013 from Visual Studio 2005
Hi Team,
Our customer had recently migrated all TFS Projects in Team Foundation Server from 2010 to 2013 (which has .NET 2.0,3.5 and 4.0 Projects) as well. We are facing one critical issue for some developers working in Visual Studio 2005
projects after migrating to TFS 2013, were unable to use their VS 2005 Projects with TFS 2013 server.
We installed the following software in the order
VS 2005 professional edition
Team Explorer 2005
VS 2005 SP1
Forward Compatibility Patch SP1
MSSCCI Plugin for TFS 2013
Team Explorer 2013
We have also referred the below msdn links to resolve the problem
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/tfssetup/archive/2014/01/23/connecting-to-team-foundation-server-2013-using-visual-studio-2005-thru-msscci-provider.aspx

SaranRamHi SaranRam,
It's suggested to use the same version of VS and TFS, and it would be better to use Visual Studio/Team Explorer 2013 to work with TFS 2013.
For your situation, you can have a try to Team Explorer 2013 separately to connect to the team project in TFS 213 and work with the upgraded projects. You can also have a check on other machines to see if it works for you. Another option is clean team founation
cache to see if it's related to your credential. Also view event logs to see if there any useful information.
About the second link you referred, please have a double check if you have configured it properly. And elaborate more details if the issue persists.
Best regards,

Experts,
kindly advice for this error when create vm from a templates, while i'm not having this issue when create the vm to another host from the same templates,
firewall is disabled and no antivirus on the host.
The network and the ping is very stable, and the WS-Management service is running on the host,
Host : windows server 2012 R2
VMM : 2012 R2 3.2.7895.0
VMM updated from RU2 to RU5
Error (2931)
VMM is unable to complete the request. The connection to the VMM agent on the virtualization server (host.domain.local) was lost.
Unknown error (0x80338029)
Recommended Action
Ensure that the Windows Remote Management (WS-Management) service and the VMM agent are installed and running and that a firewall is not blocking HTTPS traffic.
This can also happen due to DNS issues. Try and see if the server (ms-lab-01.eccsolutions.local) is reachable over the network and can be looked up in DNS. You can ping the virtualization server from VMM management server and make sure that the
IP address returned matches the IP address locally obtained from the virtualization server.
If the error still persists, restart the virtualization server, and then try the operation again.

I had this answer from partner forum. but i didn't try it yet
Backup your VMM database and then check the
tbl_VMM_Lock table in the
VMM database to see if it has any locks listed, do this after stopping the System Center Virtual Machine Manager Service.
If there are locks listed in the tbl_VMM_Lock
table you can clear them by executing the prc_VMM_ReleaseAllLocks
stored procedure.

Do you know what could be wrong? I'm out of ideas and google search...
Also, is there any difference in a calling for a DLL made on VB and one made in Delphi??
Thanks and Regards,Hello,
This error could appear due to issues with configuration of your listener, database or with extproc. First check that the permissions on extproc in your Oracle_home specified in your listener.ora file are valid:
Run the following ./extproc and it should display the banner.
If above is ok, then check for the domain name. One probable reason could be that if default_domain is set and that domain is not appended to the service name in tnsnames.ora, the connection fails.

Hi,
I m trying to update scheduling agent. I can make it from the topology in our main server which ODI is installed.
However when i try to update the scheduling from my local computer, it is unable to update or test the scheduling agent since it is unable to connect to agent.
We got network permitions and able to reach the ports which agents (local and schedule agents) are currently using.
What else the problem can be?
Tnks in advanceIssue resolved.
In the host tab of the agent, it was written 'localhost',
After changing it to 'ip adress' ,the problem is sorted out. -
UCCX 7 SR5 agent login gives timeout - unable to connect to UCCX server
Team - running high availability. The CAD login for UCCX 7 SR5 gives occasionally timeout errors.
Unable to connect to UCCX server. What is the root cause of this?
on CAD client PC based on Cisco recommendation
C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\config, we changed PhoneDev.cfg.
added ->
[ReqTimeout]
Milliseconds=30000
While this helped it still happens. Is this a bug you have seen?
What could be done for the root cause.Hello,
This happens because the CAD client software is timing out due to not receiving a response from the UCCX server in the configured and default
10 seconds. Increasing the timeout alleviates the symptom, but the root cause could be slowness or connectivity problems between CUCM and AD. The default timeout between them is 30 seconds. You can check if you have an DC/GC down or not responsive or point your CUCM to authenticate to a local DC/GC, but definitely need to check on the CUCM / AD side.
CSCta49259 CAD client timeout value not present in PhoneDev.cfg
Symptom:
Per MIVR logs CAD side is timing out and changes to the server-side properties did not resolve the issue.
Conditions:
UCCX 7.0(1) CAD
Workaround:
on CAD client PC
C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\config, there should be a file
called PhoneDev.cfg.
add ->
[ReqTimeout]
Milliseconds=30000
save then restart the CAD client .
HTH
