Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Batt Pull Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support and to be sure you are subscribed to a data plan from them that is sufficient to enable the services you desire.
Good luck!

You can share your "cellular data" with the computer and other devices through "personal hotspot". You may use USB cable, Bluetooth or Wifi for sharing.
Reverse tethering (sharing internet connection of your computer with iPhone) is not supported.
Call your carrier and activate the cellular data/3G plan on your package. Note that "personal hotspot/internet tethering" is operator dependent feature. Confirm with your carrier or go through this article to see if your carrier is listed and offers this service.

    Welcome to the discussion area!
Just a hunch. The Sony and iBook may not be able to handle WPA2 Personal Security, which is the default Security setting of the Time Capsule.
Open AirPort Utility, click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab below the row of icons
Change the setting for Wireless Security to WPA/WPA2 Personal
    Update to save settings
    Any luck?

    Hi
    Iam using Nokia E5.
Iam able to connect to mobile internet to laptop using USB connection, while using bluetooth for connceting internet iam getting below error.
"failed to connect to network.the modem is in use by another application ormay not be configured properly"
please advise how to over come this.

Same problem here with E72...well in 75% of cases, sometimes it connect easily, which make me believe the settings are correct.
Any news here? Does the problem lie with the computer or with the phone? Sometimes, but usually not, restarting one or both device helps.

  • Unable to connect Appstore through Proxy in Mavericks 10.9.1

I am working in a network with proxy. With Mountain Lion my Appstore was connecting fine. But since I have upgraded to Mavericks(10.9.1) I am unable to connect Appstore. It asks me Proxy user name and password but no connection after that. In the network preferences I have provided the username and password for http, https, ftp and socks configurations.

I am having a different problem, using Mavericks (10.9.3) with Photoshop CS 5.1 and a Wacom Intuos 5 tablet (6.3.8-2).
I used to have the white menu problem, but lately I'll be working along and then suddenly my brush tool, say, will turn into the hand tool, but still shows the brush in the tools palette. If I click on another tool, no matter what, it continues to show the hand tool. I can't brush with it anymore, so it isn't just a display problem. I'm often in full screen mode, and if I hit the "f" key to return to standard screen mode, the normal grey background switches to blue, hitting it again switches it to black, and if I keep hitting the "f" it will continue to cycle through the colors.
I've tried quitting Photoshop and relaunching, and would still have the hand icon. In the past, I would restart the cpu; today, I walked away and when I returned (within 10 minutes, probably) it was acting normally again.
This scenario plays out sometimes once a week, sometimes multiple times. I can't find anything relating to this particular issue doing a google search. Any suggestions?

  • Unable to connect Wokbench through Developers Studio

    Hi,
I am unable to connect to the Endeca workbench after doing setting in the Developers Studio under Tools -> Workbench Settings.
I have configured host name and the port but application drop down is coming "No application provisioned".Developers Studio is installed in Windows machine and Workbench is installed in Linux machine.
Please let me know any inputs.
    Many Thanks !!
    Mallikarjun

This is not due to different OS. Please check that you workbench is running
    http://<workbench_host_name>:<workbench_port>/login
Also make sure that you done the application setup correctly. Are you able to see that application in drop down provided on Workbench login page?
If not run initialize_services.sh followed by baseline update (required if you want to fetch or get the settings from Workbench, for testing purpose).

  • Airport Express: can't connect to internet via adsl modem

I have an old Airport Express which has worked fine in the past and a new ADSL internet account which works fine when I connect to it via PPoE Built-in-Ethernet. But despite following all the instructions in the Airport Setup Assistant I can't get Airport to work with the new modem (it works fine for AirTunes though). The thing is I don't really get how it could work with the new modem seeing as the Airport Setup Assistant doesn't ask me at any point what the username or password is for the new account.
I guess I'm missing something obvious here. Does anyone have any ideas what it is?

Thanks again, I tried that but it didn't work either. Going back to basics, it might help if I tried to set out what I'm trying to take in a bit more detail:
    1. Having just moved house I have a new ADSL line and modem installed by the phone company and a new ISP that has provided me with a username and a password. Using those I have no trouble getting internet via an ethernet cable connecting my iBook and the Modem.
    2. I plug the ethernet cable into my AX and then plug the AX into the wall.
    3. Then I follow the AX set up assistant guide for setting up a new base station.
    4. I click the box for DSL or Cable Modem. I don't click the box for Router
    5. This is the step I'm most unsure about. Because it is the default option I click the box for DSL or Cable modem ... or over Ethernet with an IP address assigned automatically using DHCP." I do not tick "I do not use DHCP". But I don't really know what that means.
    6. AX tells me that it is configured as follows: TCP/IP: using DHCP and IP Address: Provided automatically.
    7. When I open Safari it tells me that I'm not connected to the internet. Clicking the network diagnistics box gives me green lights for everything up to and including ISP but not for the internet.
Someone here mentioned that I might have to reconfigure my modem as a router. Is there anything to that?
    Thanks again for your help.

  • E1000 won't connect to internet through cable modem

I just switched internet providers and now have a cable modem. The internet works when I have it plugged directly into my computer. My wireless card recognizes and connects to my E1000, but the E1000 won't connect to the internet even though the ethernet cable is plugged into the correct ports. The cable provider left because it's obviously a problem with the router itself.
I've tried all the usual tricks--resetting the modem, resetting the router, resetting the computer, etc. Unfortunately, another problem I discovered in the midst of all this is that I no longer have Cisco Connect installed on my computer, and I have somehow managed to lose the CD for it.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Suggestion:
    1. Download the Cisco Connect software from the Cisco website (click HERE)
    2. Connect the router, modem and hardwired the laptop to the router as well
    3. Reset the router
    4. Run the Cisco Connect software

  • Officejet Pro 8500A unable to connect wirelessly to Ubee Modem/Router

I recently upgraded to a new "all in one" Ubee Modem Router (Model DDW366) and have spent hours attempting to wirelessly (both using Wizard and entering info by hand) print, but nothing has worked.  The only way I am able to print at this time is by printer cable connected to my MacBook Pro.  I'm unable to print wirelessly from my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad.
HP will not advise me on how to solve this problem as printer is no longer under warranty and Cox Cable who sold me the Modem/Router combo are not willing to assist with this problem.
Can anyone advise me on how to print wirelessly again?

    Hello @drlogan0,
    Welcome to the HP forums.
I understand that you are encountering problems with getting your Officejet pro 8500A onto your new wireless network.
    I would like to help.
i would try restoring the network defaults. This will help erase any 'old' information that may be stuck in the printers memory. I would like to give you specific steps for this, but I am unsure if you have the 8500A, 8500A wireless, or the 8500A premium.
Basically the steps are, go into the network menu, and select restore network defaults.
If you have tried restoring the network defaults already, please review the following troubleshooting documents.

  • Confused - best way to configure / connect AEBS to ADSL Modem/Router?

I currently have an ISP supplied Innacomm W3400V wireless modem / router that is poor at wifi.  I've looked at several modem / routers to replace it with, such as the Linksys E4200, but have decided to give an Airport Extreme a try.
Now I've read a lot on the internet about POSSIBLE options for connecting the AEBS to the current modem (which I might replace as well) but what I can't seem to fathom is what is the BEST method in terms of performance, ease of management etc etc.  As far as I can tell there's two main options:
    1) Leave the modem router set up 'as is' (e.g. with the PPPoE settings and with it handling NAT and DHCP etc) but turn wireless network and security off, connecting the AEBS in Bridge mode.  This seems to be the simplest way.  Out of interest, the Innacomm has 4 ethernet ports, if I use this method, will I be able to to use the 3 ports on the AEBS and the 3 spare (given the AEBS will be connected to one of them)?  Any problems / issues with using this configuration?
    2) Switch the Innacomm into Bridge mode and turn off wireless, DHCP, NAT (anything else) and configure the AEBS with the PPPoE sign on details and DHCP ranges etc.  Not sure what benefits there are to this, esp if I CAN still use the modem / router's 3 sparE LAN ports.  Might be something I'm missing though?
At the moment I only need to improve wifi performance and hope the AEBS will do it.  I'm just not entirely sure of the BEST way to set it up with my existing router (or even a replacement modem if I find it necessary to go that route.

Also, there's no benefit to be had by putting the original router into bridge mode and having the AEBS provide all the PPPoe, DHCP and NAT functionality (or would it in fact be worse)?
The only real reason to consider doing this is if you need the AEBS to provide both a "main" and "guest" network. Here, I am ssuming that you have a recent version of the AEBS.
In Bridge Mode, the AEBS can only provide a "main" network.
When the AEBS is configured to provide PPPoE,  DHCP and NAT services, then the "guest" network feature is enabled if you need that functionality.

maybe if you asked nicely instead of ordering people around we might tell you.
As it is all you're going to hear is that you don't need both those jars, as they contain different versions of the same driver.
I'm not going to tell you which you need, as you should have the documentation to tell you that. But then you also should have the documentation to tell you how to set your classpath properly and you failed to read that too.

  • Unable to connect Internet on 16 G IPAD 2 + Sim Message

    Hi,
Got an IPAD 2 2 weeks ago, and am new to it. I entered my wireless network setting for Wi-Fi, network is detected and everything was working with Internet, mail, MyPad+, Apple store. However since 2 days ago, Internet is not working anymore. I check Wi-Fi settings and it clearly shows my wireless network and is connected. The only weird thing I noticed is that the DHCP IP address assigned is not a 192.168.0.x format as Windows uses. Can anyone advise what I can do to troubleshoot why Internet is not connected ?
Also I keep getting a message no sim installed. Is this needed for my current issue ?
    Please advise.

I have tried both with no success. I have also tried the Reset network settings option of IPAD 2with no luck. The Wi-Fi signal has 3 bars. So looks strong to me. In terms or DHCP IP allocated it's using 169.254.x.x, while my Windows which uses the same wireless router shows 192.168.x.x. I noticed that DHCP for IPAD has Router left blank, DNS blank. It's definitely connected to the Wireless network I want. Makes no sense to me. I've followed the Wifi assistant at
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/wifi/
with no luck. Any further clues is appreciated.

I would like to thank you for your answer.
Your answer for the first question was very clear that I do not need to buy ADSL modem.
For Second question, it is also clear answer. However, third answer does not answer my question which is " how can I utilize TrendMicro to prevent Spam mail through WRVS4400N Router.
