Unable to connect Logitech Smart radio to Home Hub...

I am trying to connect my Logitech smart radio via wireless to my homehub 3.
It has connected successfully in the past but is now failing to connect with the comment "unable to connect using password nnn"
nnn = my wirless key.
I have reset the radio to the factory defaults, powered off and on the hub all to no avail.
Other devices can connect via wireless using this key.
Any help would be apprecaited
Thanks

Did you set it up correctly?
If you use a different router with ADSL, then you need to make sure that the authentication is set to PPPoA.

  • Hi, I was working at home with my iPad, everything was going well. It went out battery and after this I am unable to connect to the wifi at home. Before getting out battery no problem, and now it sees the router signal but it is unable to connect to it.

Hi, I was working at home with my iPad, everything was going well. It went out battery and after this I am unable to connect to the wifi at home. Before getting out battery no problem, and now it sees the router signal but it is unable to connect to it.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Connect Time Capsule to BT Home Hub ?

I recently purchased the Time Capsule and want to connect it to my BT Home Hub, using the Airport Utility on the CD that comes with Time Capsule I follow all the on screen prompts about adding it to my existing wireless network. The Time Capsule updates and then a message comes up about it re-starting, after this message closes the Airport Utility shows an error message and says that no Apple wireless device can be found. I have to reset the Time Capsule for it to show up on the list again
My BT Home Hub is WEP protected and I've seen a few posts and forums around the web saying that the Time Capsule is WPA protected. If that was the case why does it give the option for WEP passwords.
Anybody else had this problem or knows of a workaround ? - I don't want to have to change my security settings on my BT Home Hub to WPA/ WPA2 as this will have a knock on issue with other items I use on my wireless network.
Any assistance would be appreciated as I spent 5 hours last night playing around with settings to no avail - All I managed to connect was the Time Capsule to my Mac (just to make sure it was working).
    Regards
    Andrew

Silly question, but how should I initially set up the Time Capsule to set it as a secondary router ? by creating a new wireless network or something else - do I need to attached the ethernet cable from my main wireless BT Home Hub for intial set up ? *NOTE: I currently have the Time Capsule attached by wireless to my Mac so therfore cannot access the internet at the same time without changing network.
I'm currently at work so forgive the abbreviated exact terms for the selection process for adding the Time Capsule, should I select the first option from the list when prompted ie "to add or replace device on wireless network..." as oposed to selecting "add device to existing wireless network" ?
I understand about setting it to "bridge" just wondered the best way to get to that point to allow me to do that.
Any further assistance would be very much appreciated
    Regards

  • Connection to email via iPhone Home Hub 3 BTInfini...

Suddenly unable to connect to my email via my iPhone. Connecting wirelessly via Home Hub 3 to BTInfinity. Get the message 'Yahoo server unavailable'. My wife can access her email on her iPhone and we can both get to email via desktop PC connected wirelessly to HUB. Settings on my iPhone identical to my Wifes. Any ideas why mines has stopped working please?

Could just be the intermittent, random problem with the Yahoo! servers that's been discussed at great length on the forum, eg here. Seems to have improved but problems are still being reported. Hopefully it will soon go away; if not you should get some expert advice if you report back here.

  • Cant connect bb 8520 to bt home hub 2

as per title. i previously have been connecting my bb to the wi fi in the home hub 2.0.
anyway as of today after an update on bt desktop or other  it wont let me connect, it will  scan and identify the wi fi connection but not make the connection.
i realise that this might be a common problem through a quick search but ive not seen a solution.

have you tried deleting the existing connection in wireless networks and then trying to connect to your HH2 with a new connection

  • Connect a printer to Bt Home Hub usb plug and acess the printer on my mac

    Hi,
I have the new BT Home Hub and i connected a printer in the usb socket of the hub.
Does anyone know how i can print with the printer.
The printer is a HP Deskjet Series
    And i have a iMac

I have a BT Home Hub 2.0 and usually connect my printer to my hub via a LAN cable. However, a friend has just switched to BT and asked me whether this was possible. If you plug in the printer via USB the Homehub Manager page states that +*No USB device connected*+ and if you look on BT's website they say this:
    {quote:title=BTs website post:}
The BT Home Hub, including the latest BT Home Hub 2.0, aren't print servers. Connecting a printer to the USB socket won't work, and BT can't help with this.
There are reports from some customers elsewhere on the Internet claiming they've managed to share printers in this way. But the success might be specific to the printer used by these customers, and the Hub doesn't support this feature.
    {quote}
However, the following link provides shows that it is possible: http://www.wallaceit.co.uk/witarticle80.aspx
I'd be interested to see if this works.
    Cheers.

  • Anyone had problems connecting iPad 2 to BT home Hub?

My mum is having difficulties setting up iPad to BT Home Hub 2.
While it recognises the network it asks for IP Addressn Subnet Mask, Router and DNS information.
BT claim they cannot help but need Apple to fix...
    Really?

I would not rely on the hotspot map, as its not very accurate, and you have to be very close to a BT Wifi hotspot, to get a connection.
If it works at home, then your ipad must be working properly.

  • Connecting hi-fi amp to home hub 4

Hi, first time post, home somebody can help.
I've recently purchased a TEAC CR-H700DAB tuner/amplifier that should be able to connect wirelessly to my home computer(s) to stream recorded music.
When switching the device to the relevant function it displays "Network problem".
According to the YouTube clip at:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nygu__aHbFo
...the way to set up an initial connection is to switch the amp on (with its antenna raised) and check in your router to find the IP address of the new device - the example shown in the clip is a Netgear router, but I assume that the BT Home Hub ought to work in a similar way. However, the only devices it picks up are the two existing laptops.
I'm at an impasse! Any suggestions?
    Mike

Yes, I have the manual (although mine is slightly different).
When I follow that initial setup, I get as far as (on p. 34):
    When you select "Wireless":
    1. Turn the MULTI-JOG k-n-o-b [1] to select "Search AP", and then press the ENTER button.
    2. Turn the MULTI-JOG k-n-o-b [1] to select the access oint to connect, and then press the ENTER button.
After (1) above, it says "Searching..." and then "Not Found" - which I assume means that it is not connecting to the Home Hub?
My laptop, which is in the same room, connects to the Home Hub with no problem.
[1] The forum software absurdly censors that word to **bleep** !!!

  • Connect Netgear access point to Home Hub?

    Before I switched to using a Home Hub 2, I was using a Netgear router/modem (DG834G).
And I also had a Netgear WPN802 access point connected to the DG834G router/modem (via ethernet cable), and this enabled me to connect to internet using wifi from another location in my house.  Just seemed to work.
But I can't seem to get this to work with the Home Hub.  When the access point is plugged in to the Home Hub, it doesn't seem to show up in the Devices part of the Home Hub, and I can't connect to the access point via its default IP address (192.168.0.231).  I can't see anything in the Home Hub to configure to make this work.  On the access point, the ethernet light is lit, which suggests that it can "see" something on the other end of the cable (and the light goes out when I unplug the other end from the Home Hub).
    Any hints?
    Thanks.

You will need to change the default IP address of the Netgear WPN802 so that it is in the same subnet as the home hub.
The full details on how to do this are here http://kbserver.netgear.com/pdf/wpn_802_ref_manual.pdf
Look at page 23 and change the IP address in the Basic settings.
You could change it to 192.168.1.231 if you wish. It would still not show on the home hub because it is manually assigned. But it should work fine.
I have an additional Belkin wireless access point on my hub, which uses the address 192.168.1.200, and that works fine.

  • Unable to connect through Smart Update tool

    Hi Rakesh,
Thanks for your answer but I have already tested in both environement with and without proxy. And when I had a proxy I tried with and without proxy information configured in the preferences. I'd never been able to connect.
I don't know if the main error is the "can't connect" or the "WSDL error". Which of these two may be the real one ?
Turning one some trace features, I got an interesting information : the connection refused may be from the address http://pmlb.bea.com/axis/services/PatchConsumerService?wsdl

  • Unable to connect to my network at home

I am not sure as to how to set-up my connection to my network with the AirPort wireless system. What I'm I suppose to do to connect to my cisco network. Can someone please assist me in this matter

Is your Cisco device a WiFi router, or just a router?
    I'll assume WiFi router.
Your home network should appear in the menu bar WiFi icon (a set of concentric arcs on the right side of the menu bar).
Select your Cisco WiFi router's name from the list.
If you are prompted for the password, then enter it.  That should be all you need to do.
If your Cisco router is using WEP encryption, this can be a problem, as WEP has 2 different password encoding conventions, Microsoft's and Apple's.  They are not compatible.  ALso WEP is so insecure it can be cracked in less than a minute by easily available software.
Anyway, if your Cisco is configured with WEP encryption, then you need to enter the hexidecimal key, the text password will not work.
A better approach if you have WEP is to change the Cisco WiFi router to use WPA or WPA2 which has a standard password encoding method that is used by ALL WiFi devices, so you can then use the text password.  In addtion WPA is very secure.
If none of this information works, or makes sense to you, we will need more information about your setup at home.

  • Printer will not connect to new BT Home Hub 5

    Hello all
I have just received a new BT home hub 5. I am using an Apple Mac Pro which has connected fine to the new home hub but my printer won't connect via wireless. The printer advises me to "Press WPS button on router to connect" which I am doing; the printer then tries to connect but comes back with an error after 2 minutes saying "WPS error. Press ok to retry".
(Note: I previously had a BT home hub 3 which was connected successfully to the same printer).
I would appreciate any advice as this is driving me mad trying to get it to recognise the new router.  (I am unable to manually select the network and input the pass key as there is no option in the LED window to choose network.)

    Hi @RuthKJ
    Instead of using the WPS method to connect the printer to your new router let's try the following steps;
I use this method for iPads, iPhones and other devices that do not have software.
Restore the network defaults on the printer by pushing the wireless button, going to settings, and then restore defaults. The wireless button should then start flashing, this means it is now in autowireless mode.
Connect to the network that the printer is broadcasting. It is usually HP-setup-3050a and then part of the MAC address. The wireless light will still be flashing on the printer at this point, this is normal since this is not an actual adhoc connection.
Load up the Embedded Web Server (EWS) in the browser on your mobile device. The default IP for autowireless is 192.168.223.1.
Go to the network tab along the top of the EWS.
Click on Wireless Setup Wizard along the left hand side to begin configuring the printer.
You have now completed the Wireless configuration, follow the next 3 steps to start printing.
The blue wireless light will go solid, put the Mac back on your own network.
Add the printer to the System Preferences.
    Print
