Unable to Connect PC and update

I am using Sony Tablet S. Model SGPT112SG/S. I have few queries as follows.
1. I am unable to connect the Tablet to PC companion. It shows as "PC companion must be updated". But I am using the latest one.
2.Android version is 4.0.3 (release5a). When I check for updates. It shows "The system software is up to date". But I see Jelllybean update has released. How can i update.
3. Is Timescape is not included in the tablet. I have installed from play store. But still uanble to use it.
4. Does sony tablet can be charged connecting to PC through USB.
5. How to reduce the number of slides in the Home screen. It has 5. I want only 3.

Because jelly bean only came out for xperia tablet s not tablet s1 which you have.
all you can do is keep nagging at sony to fix your tablet and release jelly bean as software is broken on tablet s1

Unable to connect to software update

New mac pro, has been unable to connect to software update, multiple attempts over past 3 days. Other browser problems listed in other thread, but this is the most concerning at the moment. Linksys wireless, DSL modem, Cisco router. Airport extreme card (I installed)

Do you show an active wireless connection in the Menu Bar (fans are lit)? If not, check your Extreme Card to make sure the physical installation is correct.
On the Network end: Linksys is not a good wireless unit for the Mac Platform. Not very good support.
To make the best of it: Make sure you have the latest firmware installed for the Linksys unit. Same for the Cisco router.
Here's some suggestions specific to the Network Panel:
Go to the System Preferences>Network panel
- Location - set up a personal location by clicking on the drop down menu and selecting "add a location". Use a name familiar to you. Once established, select "apply".
- Next, click on the "Show" drop down menu and select Network Port Configurations. Only Airport ought to be checked, unless you are using a Bluetooth device. Move it to the top of the list (you can drag it). Select "apply".
- Back to the "Show" menu>Airport. Click on the TCP panel. There, enter 208.67.222.222 and
208.67.220.220 (separate lines) in the DNS servers box, or try the Verizon codes of 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 and select "apply".
Creating a personal location, plus adding the DNS codes seems to speed things up. Otherwise, the "automatic" function has a tendency to "search" for available locations.
In the Finder, go to your Utilities folder and select "Terminal". Once the screen is open enter lookupd -flushcache and press return. This clears out the DNS cache. Once done, quit Terminal.

Unable to connect to the Update Center

Using: Windows XP SP 1
I downloaded and installed NetBeans 5.5 just a few minutes ago and I'm unable to connect to the Update Center. I can connect using NetBeans 5.0.
Has anyone else run into this problems?

Ok, I was able to get NB 5.5 to connect to the Update Center after temporarily disabling Norton Internet Security. Not the ideal solution, obviously, so I'll have to figure out some kind of 'rule' to make NIS to allow NB 5.5 to connect to the Update Center.

ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page.

I am using the wizard: Form on a table with report 2 pages. I do not change any of the values when using the wizard (just taking all default values)
I created over 10 pages successfully already.
When creating the one page, I received this error on clicking the 'Finish' button

Seems like it might be table related since I can continue and create more forms/reports on other tables.
Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like there is a 127-column limit on the number of report columns supported when using that wizard. Do you have more than that?

HT201210 i am trying to update my ipad to ios 5.1 - the process stops when the update portion finishes, it says it is unable to connect to the update server - please try again later

I originally had the issue where it would not connect at all but got that fixed.
Now I am experiencing the issue when trying update the ipad ios to version 5
The process finished backing up the ipad then it says unable to connect to the backup server try again later
Any idea what I need to do now?

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Kindly advise.Yes, you definately needed to mention that. That suggests you also have 3 $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin directories, each with its own tnsnames.ora file. So you need to make sure you are hitting the correct one. I'd pick one to be the controlling one and set the TNS_ADMIN enviornment variable to point to it.

Unable to connect JSP and MySQL

I've started developing web pages using JSP
I've the problem connecting JSP and MySQL database. I've created the page that retrive records from mysql table. But the connection fail to access to database it gives me this error:

TS3694 Mac unable to connect with ITunes Update Server - why?

Whenever I try to check for updates on iTunes on my Mac, I get this message: iTunes can’t verify the identity of the server “ax.itunes.apple.com”.
Followed by this: The iTunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your Internet connection, or try again later.
There is no problem with the internet connection, and all other things seem to load properly.
It means I am unable to update my iphone either, and am stuck on IOS 4.3.1.
Any suggestions on how to solve this please?

Try out the following steps. Usually step 1 will resolve the issue:
Update iTunes to the latest version.

Unable to connect through Smart Update tool

Hi,
Needing to check for some patch for WebLogic Portal, I tried to access to support service through Smart Update tool. My status can't be verified on the login phase (I still obtain an error message "Unable to verfiy your status") and can only work offline; so I can't download any patch.

I tried to use several Smart Update releases (3.1.0.0 and 3.2.0.0) and to work with several JVM (32 and 64 bits, Sun and Jrockit) : none of this tries were OK.
My environment : Windows 7 Pro, 64 bits.
Is this an issue on my side or on Smart Update tool ? Is this due to my system (W7 ? 64 bits ?) Is there any system property I could use to pass the WSDL process ? Something else ...

Thanks for your answer but I have already tested in both environement with and without proxy. And when I had a proxy I tried with and without proxy information configured in the preferences. I'd never been able to connect.
I don't know if the main error is the "can't connect" or the "WSDL error". Which of these two may be the real one ?
Turning one some trace features, I got an interesting information : the connection refused may be from the address http://pmlb.bea.com/axis/services/PatchConsumerService?wsdl

Is there any way to update the software through the computer?
When I connect it to the computer it doesn't recognize any new hardware at all
I see on ZTE's website they do have a windows driver but it doesn't seem to do anything?

I cant tell from the contents what is supposed to happen but I imagine the .exe extracts the files to your machine. Sometimes when a OS cannot auto install the drivers then you have to force them to install through Device Manager. You can do this by right clicking the ZTE LTE Technologies MSM, choosing update driver and then pointing the hardware wizard to the installation folder on your machine. Give that a shot and post any error messages that popup as a result of the manual installation.
I do not have access to a 890L so I don't know if USB tethering is supposed to work or if those drivers are purely for charging and managing the device. Hopefully when you get all of those devices installed the 890L will know what to do and reroute its internet connection over the USB cable as you intended.

Had to recent large (140MB ?) security update. I didn't pay that close attention to the size. But it seemed to be taking forever to finish when I lost my cox cable connection. Since then I can not open applications like email, docs, preferences to get to updates, etc. But I can open folders.
Did the interrupted download finsih?
How do I check?
If reconnect will it continue from where it left off?
Appreciate any help for the novice new apple user.

Before doing anything else, I would try what KT mentioned. Afterwards, if you still have problems, then I suggest you do a repair install of Sno by installing Sno over Sno as in an upgrade install. Such an install, while usually very safe, still is an install so be appropriated backed up if you proceed.

A network of 1, unable to connect to software updates

I have a 2006 MacPro decided to give it a cleaning with DiskWarrior, sounds and runs great maybe too perfect as when I hit Apple software update I keep getting "network diagnosis" which always ends with (ethernet fine) (network settings fine) (isp fine) both internet and server failed. I even went to System prefs, network and checked that the settings matched the settings I had set in the diagnosis location selection.
Also, the html pics in my email do not open. One more also, My pair of seagate external drives do not mount, although I had this same problem prior to cleaning my system.
Any constructive thoughts would be appreciated.

The Seagate info is most of the page so I hit on software update to get an immediate response rather than go through 4000 + messages and what console pick up is in the bottom two msgs. I really to be honest have a clue it's to tech for me

HT1918 unable to connect click and buy in iTunes, app store does work

I try to buy software on my iPhone, this is normal connected to a Click and Buy account.
The strange thing is that I can use the Click and Buy account in the OS X App store and not in the iTunes store.
Is it possible that there is an old Click and Buy account still somewhere in the system that does block the option to connect the new one?
