"Unable to connect to Cisco Callway Network" messge

Hello
We are in the middle of a Cisco Callway cloud outage. The message alerting us of this continues to pop up
and right in the middle of screen. Is there anyway to disable of at least delete it when is pops up?

I see where the Standby CONTROL can be On/Off. I am not sure how this will help eliminate the message that continues to pop upright in tyhe middle of the screen.
So If I choose CONTROL: ON
                     DELAY    :  30 (mins)
How often will that message appear on EX/MX screen? Once every 30 minues?

  • Warning System spameater Unable to connect to Cisco Web Security Service.; URL Filter...

My C670 ESA's have been throwing these alerts intermittently for the past few days, anyone else seeing them?
    The Warning message is:
Unable to connect to Cisco Web Security Service.
URL Filtering will not work correctly.
Please verify all network, proxy and firewall settings.
    Connection to "v2.sds.cisco.com" failed.
The last error seen on this connection: "Request failed with code: 28 (Connection time-out)"
    Version: 8.5.6-092
Looks like it is open on port 443 and currently up.  Hitting it with a browser gives me:
    https://v2.sds.cisco.com/
After an error or two they go away and appear OK.
Checking the logs I don't see a way to verify URL lookups are working, is there a way?
Also, I setup URL filtering six months ago and had it set to only trigger on (-10)-(-9.5) and saw about an 80% false positive.  It has improved over the past six months drastically but still catching mostly advertising URLs and allowing all phishing URLs right through.  I've yet to see it block a phishing URL.

After lots of trial and error, I was able to eliminate this problem.  What I wound up doing is defining the XE service again in the listener.ora file:
    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
      (SID_LIST =
        (SID_DESC =
          (SID_NAME = XE)
          (ORACLE_HOME = C:\ProgramData\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server)
I know that typically you should not have to do this, especially since I already had defined DEFAULT_SERIVCE_LISTENER = (XE) at the bottom of the listener.ora file.  Explicitly defining the XE service in the listener.ora file allows the listener to find it while the system is running under the Cisco AnyConnect VPN.  The only hiccup I found by doing this is that the XE service is discovered twice by the listener when the system is NOT running under the Cisco AnyConnect VPN.  It still works OK.  The listener just seems to ignore the repeated definition of the XE service (see output below):
    C:\ProgramData\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\bin>lsnrctl service
    LSNRCTL for 32-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.2.0 - Production on 13-JUN-2013 10:03:15
    .......(omitted output).......

    The command completed successfully
If anyone has a cleaner solution for this problem, please let me know.  Otherwise, I am moving forward with what I did.

  • I'm unable to connect to my wireless network

I am unable to connect to my wireless network on my iphone 4.  It worked previously. My husband has no problem with his iphone connecting.

Same here. Upgraded 2 separate iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and now both get an error that say "incorrect password" when trying to connect. iPad 1 upgraded to iOS5 and all 3 macs connect fine using same password. (Router is Apple Airport base station running 7.5.2)

  • Macbook air is unable to connect on hidden wireless network

    Dear users and support,
I have just bought my macbook air with lion os already installed, but I am unable to connect to hidden wireless network. Is there any trick to fix it? even though I am typing the name and password it's unable to login.
    Please advice.
    tks,

Back up all data before making any changes.
    Step 1
Take all the applicable steps in this support article.
    Step 2
If you're running OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and take the remedial steps suggested in the summary that appears, if any. The program also generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.
    Step 3
This step will erase all your settings in the Network preference pane. Make a note of them before you begin, and recreate them afterwards. It may be helpful to take screenshots of the preference pane.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "SystemConfiguration" selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    Reset the System Management Controller.

I moved to ios 8 and now I am unable to connect to my office network (WPA2- Enterprise), I was able to connect using ios 7 without any problems, now it says my user id / p/w is incorrect which is not right since I am using the same to connect my laptop. Please suggest

    That happens sometimes.
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • My S4 is unable to connect to the cellular network after the 4.4.2 update failed to install this afternoon.

I attempted to install the OTA update for 4.4.2, but received an error message that the installation failed. When my phone rebooted it was unable to connect to the cell network and was extremely sluggish. I own an iMac and the S4 is no longer recognized by Kies or Android File Transfer.
I attempted turning off the phone and removing the battery and Sim, to no avail. I also attempted to access the recovery tools, but the phone will no longer boot to recovery. I tried a factory reset, but I do no recall ever setting the security PIN it seems to require.

  • My 2nd Gen iPod is "unable to connect" to our home network.

I recently purchased a 2nd Gen iPod touch, but when I try connecting it to out home wi-fi network, I encounter a problem.
The wi-fi screen opens fine, and allows me to select our network. I enter the password - and then I have a problem. I've double- and triple-checked the password, and I know I have the correct code. But when I enter the code, my iPod comes up with a message that tells me it is "unable to connect" to our home network.
I've looked at other posts, and checked the troubleshoot tips for wi-fi connectivity. Nothing has worked.
Our network router is plugged in, and functioning. Every other device in the house can connect, and access the internet. My iPod is the only one encountering an issue. After unplugging and reconnecting the router, and reseting the router and the iPod's network controls, I have literally no idea what to try now.
    Can anybody help me?

Well I'm not sure what you have tried so far.  But I also have a 2nd gen touch and when I have trouble with it...this may sound stupid but I go into WiFi in settings and turn off wifi.  I then force restart by holding down the home and power buttons until the screen goes black and you see the apple logo again., then release.  When it turns back on turn wifi back on and try to connect

We are a two iPhone family, both on the same service provider. My wires iPhone is unable to connect to the home network where as mine is! In the settings her phone has no details for the IP address etc where as mine does! I cannot even enter the details manually.
I have done resets on off and nothing? HELP!

What is that and how. I have 3 airports all configured identically and connected to one router via ethernet!
A power cycle is powering down for ~ 1 minute and powering back up.

  • Unable to connect to home wireless network with my iPod touch

I've had my iTouch for several months now and I'm still not able to connect to my wireless network at home. I've tried the resets and other suggestions I've found in the discussion groups but nothing has worked.
I have an older Netgear Router MR814v2 and it is unsecured. It is attached to my old desktop, HP Pavilion running Windows ME, which is not able to run the itunes software. My HP laptop is where my iTouch and iTunes software is installed.
The iTouch displays my network with good signal strength, but when I try to connect I get the "unable to join the network "NETGEAR".
Going to my router, it does not recognize my iTouch as an attached device. Why is that and what am I missing?
Thank you for all suggestions and your help.

I tried powering down the router. When it's off the iTouch does not recognize the network and then when it's powered on again, the iTouch recognizes the network. Unlike the public wi-fi spots that my iTouch responds to, where all the info like IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router, DNS etc are populated in the settings...my iTouch does not populate these fields at home even though it recognizes the network. I still get the unable to connect to network error. Could it be that my router is antiquated and can not support the iTouch? Like I said earlier, my Router does not recognize the iTouch as being attached to it.

  • MacBook Pro will not connect to Cisco Wireless Network

I have just bought a brand new MacBook Pro, running Leopard (OSX 10.5.1) and I just cannot get it to connect to the Wireless Network at my workplace.
The MBP connects to wireless network and authenticates just fine, but will not obtain an IP address from the DHCP server.
The wireless network consists of 16 Cisco Aironet 1200 Access Points controlled by a Cisco Wireless Network Controller. It does not broadcast its SSID and is WEP 128-bit hex protected.
Changing the network from WEP to WPA is out of the question for me as this is under the control of my customers IT Department and they do not have any problems with their PCs connecting to the network. It appears to be an Apple issue.
For reference, my old Vaio PC, my Nokia N95 and my iPod Touch ALL connect to the same wireless network without any problems whatsoever, first time, every time!
If I boot into Windows XP from my Boot Camp partition, XP can connect wirelessly to the network without any problems, so it is not MacBook hardware related...
It has to be a bug in Mac OSX... doesn't it?!?
Things I have already tried (following suggestions on many forums):
    * Switching Airport off/on
    * Deleting various network-related Plist files and rebooting
    * Manually assigning an IP Address (not really permitted but doesn't work anyway!)
    * Disabling all network adaptors except Airport
AP Grapher shows that the MBP is connected to the wireless network, at good strength, and packets are being sent and received, but Internet Access is not possible as no IP Address has been assigned. Instead, my MBP shows a 169.* IP Address (self-assigned). It should be a 10.1.255.* address.
Can anybody please help? Thank you.

i posted this same reply elsewhere because it worked for me for my Buffalo wireless router: try manually setting your IP address instead of relying on DHCP, which sometimes (I don't know why) doesn't work well with Macs. It's a good get around. I am a happy Mac user but nothing is perfect on earth, and when the Mac gives problems, it does give a lot of frustration. Macs are not as easy to troubleshoot as Win because a Mac is built to be user friendly(and it works most of the time), meaning a lot of the background computing stuff is hidden away from users to avoid user accidentally upsetting some settings.
Unfortunately, the highly automated troubleshooting wizards provided by OS X are not perfect so when these software wizards fail to resolve the problem, like my Network Diagnostics, I have to spend more time tinkering around. There's "Terminal" of course but then most of us, especially PC converts to Macs, don't know how to use it.
You should also try updating your MBP, see if there are any new updates being released.

  • I have an iPad with iOS 5.0.1 that is not able to connect to cisco wireless networks at work.

Hi, I have an iPad that is not able to connect to any of the Cisco wireless access points at work. The iPad is on the latest iOS 5.0.1. I did a reset on the iPad and erased all content and settings. The wireless network I'm trying to connect uses WPA2 Enterprise encryption. I'm able to connect to a Verizon mifi device so I know wireless is working. It seems like it's just not getting the certificate. I'm able to connect to our wireless network from other iPads just fine except for this one device. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to troubleshoot the issue. Thank you.
    Julio

I suggest updating using iTunes on your computer (current version: 11.0.3).
    Update iOS first, then apps.

  • Unable to connect to new wireless network in Mountain Lion with Photosmart C4780

I have a Photosmart C4780 and have just upgraded my imac to Mountain Lion. HP are not providing new drivers for my printer as they say it will work with Mountain Lion. I have downloaded software updates. However, I have just changed my wireless network as I have a new broadband provider but am unable to connect to it. My problem is that the set up assistant software provided which I used originally to set up does not work with Mountain Lion.
    Any ideas please?

I have solved my problem, I've bought an Epson. It works perfectly. If HP can treat their customers with such disinterest and contempt I don't want to give them my money.
